I've been to this salon several times for different services. Each time I left feeling great and refreshed. The salon is brand new but the staff is very experienced. I had French shellac done by Andy and Julie so far, and they are both great. Andy's work lasted almost 4 weeks with no chip. There is also complimentary wine. I think it totally takes the edge off after a long day of work. Or it gets my weekend started, like today. Besides nails, I've had a facial and eyelash extension done here. I tried out the nearby Serena salon and was very disappointed with the nail technician there, so now this salon is where I go to get my nails done. I encourage you to try this place. read more

I have tried so many salons in the Sugar Land area and none have come close to this salon. They get a 5 star for so many reasons. Their polish, shellac, and powder choices are abundant. My mother has dementia and lives near us. We try really hard to make sure Mom stays active and lives a full happy life despite her illness. My wife (and every now and then I make an appearance) take Mom to get her nails done regularly at Royal. The folks are so good to Mom. They all remember her and are good sports about her frequent questions. They smile and are so pleasant when she tells them, "No shellac!", or asks what color she is getting. Even though she may tell them 20 times (usually more) during the course of a manicure. The folks all smile and treat her so kindly. I am no expert on manicures and pedicures. I trust my wife for that and she keeps coming back here and leaving happy, so that is a ringing endorsement to me. The one thing I do want to speak to is the customer service. The staff take very good care of Mom and treat her very well, which is very hard to do for a person who has dementia. I love this place, it's right by my apartment and the staff always remembers me. They do an exceptional job and the acrylic they use is quality!!! I'm always working and it's hard for me to find time to make it in to get my nails refilled but they always take me right in without any wait. I've even went up to 3 weeks without a refill and the nails held up, if you're looking for a great clean nail salon that's consistent then this is your place! Went in today for a full set (w/ powder) and it took an hour and a half. The lady doing my nails did not seem to know what she was doing and repeatedly messed up. After all of this, my nails turned out very misshapen and not uniform whatsoever. I'm not sure if it's just powder nails that were not her specialty, but I would not recommend spending your money / time here. This place is the best I've been to in Sugar Land. I get pedicures as a "treat" to myself and when I went for my first time, I was treated like "royalty." My massage was so incredible on my feet that I paid for an extra 10 minutes. A person next to me made a comment about how great the massage looked and ended up doing the same thing when it was her turn. This place is so clean and elegant inside, it made me feel like I was somewhere else - out of town or something. It really made my day for myself even more special..... I have had ok experiences here for nails, but STAY AWAY from having any wax services here. The first time, I had only my eyebrows done, and my skin was burned and inflammed for days after (I've been waxing my eyebrows for years and never had this problem). I hoped it was just a fluke, but when I got a bikini wax there on my second try, I learned the hard way. The wax was too hot, the technician did not know what she was doing, she burned AND tore my skin. OUCH. It hurt for several days. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from the waxing room at this salon! read more

I went the first week they opened and the website wasn't working. I will never go in there again. I was the only person in the salon and at least 5 people waiting to work. I had a manicure done. As she was doing my manicure another customer came in to get a pedicure. While my manicurist was working on me, the lady doing the pedicure came over and got the dirty clippers from my table and used them on the lady getting the pedicure. I called the manager over and told her they use the same clippers on both of us and it was a health code violation. She said she would take to the employee about it. I can't risk my health by using this place again. I was very tempted to call the City of Sugar Land but decided I just wouldn't go back! read more

I have been going here for a couple years. I used to go to Sweet Escape but that place has really gone down hill. Nikki does my nails ( I do the dip powder) at Royal Nails. I am super picky and she always gets it right. They have WiFi , wine etc. Its nice & clean and they are always super friendly and accommodating. read more

Pushy owner in getting me to add pedicure with manicure stating they promise to do both in 30 minutes. In the meantime, they kept making same promise to every walk-in customer. On my repeated requests and after 90% of pedicure completion, they got their staff to start manicure. Instead of 30 min., I walked out 1.5 hr later! Absolutely the worse nail spa ever! I am usually not a harsh critic but never have I spent three hours getting a manicure pedicure! The place was not even that busy and I was seated with no water for the first 30 minutes then had my feet soaking for the next 30 minutes without anybody attending to me, only to have my pedicure look like it was done by a three-year-old I will never go back here again! read more

They don't care! I got my mani and pedi this Saturday. The lady had to take off my gel/dip nail polish. Instead of taking the time and taking it off with nail polish remover and wrapping each nail in foil, she went to town on my nails with the electric nail filer. I didn't realize it until she finished that she filed my nails so much that the nails were paper thin and had gashes where my nail beds were exposed. It hurt so badly and told the lady who didn't speak any English and just smiled. Then the other lady told her to just use nail thickener over it. The owner or manager was working on someone else and he did not even acknowledge what happened. I told the lady who charged me what happened. She did not even care and still charged me for the manicure. I paid it since I didn't want to cause a scene. Now my hard nails are so thin, they keep chipping and they are sensitive to warm water. I cannot even use my nails to do anything. Never going back!!! read more

Can I leave less than one star? I have never left a review before, but I am so annoyed that I feel compelled to warn you. This is the worst salon I've ever been to. The man who did my pedicure left me with my feet soaking for almost 30 minutes before he came back. THEN, he got up and left to help other people at the desk at least 7 times... with the gloves still on. Gross. I had to ask him to please change the gloves before he touched my feet again because I didn't know where he had been.. He disappeared! He dropped the towel on the floor several times, as well as the rocks used for massage. I paid 35 dollars for this. The paint job looks like my 5 year old painted my toes. Even though it was VERY uncomfortable for me, I asked for someone else to fix the problem. It STILL looked like I did them myself. I had been there SO long and was so disappointed, I just left. The next day I called to express my dissatisfaction with the service. The owner talked over me and told me they DO NOT give refunds. No matter how unhappy the customer feels. She actually told me "That's not how I make money". Really??? Well, now I will tell all my friends and neighbors what terrible service they offer, and to never go there for anything. Is that how you will make money? Through making people angry with sub-par service and then refusing to handle the situation with courtesy and professionalism. You are a new establishment, and you will not succeed with this poor service and terrible workmanship! read more
