For entrees - my husband and I shared the Milanesa a la Provenzana and the Arroz Chaufa De Mariscos. Both dishes were good - and handled a reheating the next day, but nothing outstanding.

An underdog is definitely the pot roast, not usually something I'd order off a menu but when it came to the table and I tried it, I instantly regretted not getting it as a meal. However, I was very satisfied with the cedar plank salmon I ordered that was cooked to perfection. I'm very excited to have this place nearby. The restaurant, which is open to the public, is on the same property as the Itasca Country Club, which is not open to the public. You go down the stairs, through the developing pizza bar, and to the restaurant. The restaurant space itself is cozy, with beautiful, natural lighting, and lots of seating options. We were asked booth or table and seated right by the picture window with beautiful views of their ice rinks and golf course. The food was above and beyond my expectations! Between the 5 people at the table, I sampled the French Onion soup, Sweet & Spicy Brussels, Bacon Smash Burger, Pot Roast Grilled Cheese, Sweet Tees (Donut Holes), Peanut Butter Smore-o, and Verde Dulce. The soup was not salty as I find some iterations, the brussels had complex flavors with hot honey, bacon, candied pistachios, and crumbled feta. The pot roast grilled cheese was very flavorful, but my boyfriend did state he wished the sandwich had more meat in it. The Sweet Tees donut holes were cooked to perfection without being oily and the jam accompaniment was a perfect texture and level of sweet. The Peanut Butter Smore-o was creamy and decadent with its perfectly ratioed layers of ganache, peanut butter mousse, Oreos, and whipped cream. The Verde Dulce, though, was the delicious classic olive oil cake with pistachio gelato & that throwback of candied pistachios from my appetizer. Even better than the food, our server, Kara, was one of the sweetest, most attentive human beings! She answered all of our questions, refilled our fountain drink and iced tea glasses when they were at 75% without prompting, made sure my dad felt celebrated with a candle, etc. Her teammate who was in charge of clearing our table was also prompt and I appreciate her asking what plates she could take. Overall, it was a beautiful late morning/early afternoon with delicious food and impeccable service. 10/10 recommend!!!

The planning of our wedding reception appeared seamless and accommodating by the management during the entire planning process. We have been there for Easter Brunch, baby showers, christening receptions, etc. and were always attracted to the Italian decor and ample space allotted to the parties. When it came time to choose our venue we thought the decision was obvious to choose Venuti's. We signed the contract immediately after a walk through. We selected the 2 rooms near the outdoor patio. With a 220 - 240 person guest attendance that would leave just enough comfortable space to include some entertainment. On our wedding day, I arrived to the bridal suite in horror to find another bride and her family were in the suite getting ready. I was informed that the suite provided to me was this tiny, fits only 2 people at a time, room adjacent to the bridal suite I was previously shown when I was given a tour. (Having a wheel-chair bound mother in law attempting to dress in the room they put us in was impossible. In fact, we were forced to dress her in the bathroom!) When my sister found the manager who contracted with us, she simply said "this is the room you get with your banquet room. Sorry" I was so confused but had to let it go. I was later informed by a friend that when the manager finished explaining that to us, she left the tiny suite slamming the door saying she was "I'm so done trying to deal with that". Not entirely sure what she had to be upset about since I was the one shoved in a broom closet but apparently she was aggravated as well. She obviously didn't know he was with my party when she said that. When I realized we were unable to obtain any of the photos of the bride getting ready with the maids and mom due to the size and condition of this suite space, that brought me to tears. Again, I had to get over it and move on with our day. But that was a vision I wanted and will never have now. We married in the chapel which we decorated with our florist and it turned out beautiful. I mean gorgeous. Then after a brief outdoor photo session we retreated back to the bridal suite to gather with the groomsmen before being announced . My party and I were never asked or brought anything to eat or drink whatsoever throughout our entire day to this point. Not even during the cocktail/appetizer reception. (PS the bride is pregnant and the management is aware of this) Then when finally arriving in the reception room, which was undeniably beautiful!, I suddenly realize we are only occupying the 1 room off the patio and every guest table is sitting nearly on top of the next. Apparently a wedding party on the other side out grew their space and so management just decided that since my party "could fit" in the one room, that's where they put us and gave the center room to the other party. This may be how I lost MY bridal suite and ended up in a gloomy closet that offered no mirrors or vanity stations like the one they gave the other bride that they originally promised to me. I began to cry but choked back my tears again to remind myself that everyone is here now and doesn't deserve to watch me sit in disappointment. So I let it go for the day and stopped myself from paying much attention to any details at all. It was all much easier to handle after that. Other than that, the dinner service was commendable and most of the food was good other than very bland chicken. (It certainly had more flavor at the tasting.) The filet was enormous and delivered at perfect temperatures. Tilapia presented tastefully and they were our guests favorites. The bar service was impeccable and our guests do enjoy libations during weddings (and any other libation encouraged celebration). My best advice, watch your contracts closely and be sure nothing is slipping off that you originally had on. Tour the bridal suites if you intend to need to use them and have the put it in the contract. Stay in touch with your contract manager and repeatedly ask if there are any changes that need to take place that you should be aware of. Other than that, I would say it's usually an excellent venue selection. I don't know anybody else who has had this type of experience there so perhaps we are just an example of "nobody's perfect all the time". But it did stink to spend my first 2 hours fighting back tears and overwhelming disappointment. I would give anything to be rating them with all 5 stars. What a shame. read more

I had another wonderful dining experience at Venuti's! We decided to dine at the bar, and the service and drinks were phenomenal from start to finish. The focaccia bread was absolutely incredible so good my husband needed seconds and thirds! For our appetizer, we shared the Mixed Italian Seafood Grilled for Two, and both the octopus and calamari were cooked to perfection. For entrées, my husband had the Chilean bass special, which he loved. I'm usually more of a meat eater, but Brianna, our bartender, suggested I try the eggplant Parmesan and I'm so glad I did! It was absolutely delicious and such a pleasant surprise. It was also awesome getting to meet Brianna. She was fantastic all night long, incredibly attentive, friendly, and gave such great recommendations that truly made the experience even better. To finish the night, we had the homemade strawberry shortcake, which was perfectly fresh and flavorful, and I also tried bartender Tony's "Velveteen Rabbit" drink an amazing raspberry and cream cocktail that was the perfect dessert drink. Once again, Venuti's delivered an amazing dining experience with fantastic food, drinks, and service. We can't wait to come back! read more

Highly disappointed! When I pulled into the place I was in awe of how beautiful and classy this placed looked. Our waitress was extremely rude. We had placed an order and almost an hour later we asked about how much longer and her response was I DONT KNOW! How about a let me check on that for you.Wow really! We then told her we didn't want the food because we didn't appreciate her attitude and lack of service,she said we can't cancel and she went to go the owner. The owner who I swear looks like Danny Devito came to the table in a very aggressive and demeaning attitude. He was worse than the waitress. Golden rule: Listen to you customers! Invest in training for you and your employees! Bottom line is the service was horrible they owner and waitress were extremely rude! Take your money elsewhere! One last thing they made us give up our table and put a reserve sign on it and never sat anymore there. They were going to show us. Well we are now showing everyone how horrible your service was. We stuck around not to ruin the birthday for our cousin. Never again will I step foot in this place. read more

I wish there were more stars for me to click!!!! I cannot thank Frank and Ciara enough for all their hard work with my wedding day! I will be the first one to admit that I had A LOT of out of the box ideas and requests :-) They absolutely knocked it out of park with without question!!! I requested a very specific look for my antipasto table and it was beyond what I was expecting. They even went as far as ordering the charcuterie boards I wanted, exactly was I was looking for! Our main course was filet, mashed potatoes, whole baby carrots/asparagus with a prosciutto crisp on top. I showed them a picture of the presentation I wanted and it was spot on (Thank you chef Tito)!! Thank you to all of you for you for making my day perfect and being very (very) patient with all my requests- you pulled it off flawlessly! I truly could not have asked for a better team!!! I'm a big fan of Venuti's. The best meal I've ever eaten here was the vodka rigatoni with chicken. They hand make their own pasta, so it doesn't get much better than that. Awesome soups, salads, chicken dishes, etc. My fiance and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day in 2006 at the original location on North Ave., and we were thrilled when the restaurant expanded into an enormous, beautiful banquet hall. We met with Karen about having our wedding here, and she was SO sweet and helpful. We happily booked our wedding! UPDATE: We ended up getting married in June 2012 and had a great experience. All of the food was incredible, and our guests definitely enjoyed it. They accommodated both vegetarian and vegan guests. I would confidently recommend this restaurant for a place to both enjoy dinner and have a wedding. :) read more

Venuti's is metaphorically a dining adventure with a unique, one-of-a-kind, stand alone menu and an outstanding cuisine to match. Some of my favorite Venuti dining experiences have included a very tender rack of lamb, served rare with a perfectly seared curst, Alaskan King Crab legs had a slightly sweet (not salty) taste and a light crunch (don't spare the hot butter) and a fish salad appetizer the size of two average entries. The crisp savory dressing was perfect for the seafood mix. The server staff was professional, personable and attentive. Venuti's chef's sauces are excellent accompaniments. Some of the daily specials were somewhat pricey but overall prices were competitive. Check out the bar. Bartender Sheri serves up a mixologist quality cocktail. For a great culinary trip...book it! We absolutely loved working with Venuti's and Karen Dragel. Not only was Karen professional and excellent at her job, she was genuine and pleasure to work with from start to finish. As a bride, you undoubtedly will work very closely with your wedding coordinator, so working with someone as flexible and kind as Karen, was an absolute dream. She was extremely timely in her emails, reminders, and updates; she coordinated our perfect wedding day with ease. The actual day of was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, and the pacing was just right. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to work with such a professional venue that is always working with you to help to make your day truly perfect. Thank you, Venuti's! THIS IS BY FAR the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. From the atmosphere feeling like you are in Italy to the warm and welcoming owner. We dined here and were greeted as if we were family. We were sat at a table and the server came immediately to the table. The server was prompt and efficient. The owner came by the table and welcomed us. The food was all homemade from the pasta to the dessert we had. And omg the limonchello is homemade. After dinner we went into the lounge for some drinks. The wait staff in here was friendly and extremely accomdating even when we did not have a reservation for a table in the lounge. This is an awesome place if you want a fine Italian dining experience and cocktails and dancing after all on one place. Hands down best place ever! read more

We had our wedding at Venuti's and could not have asked for a more perfect experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless. Our coordinator, Ruby, was absolutely incredible--so helpful, organized, and on top of every detail. She made sure the entire day ran smoothly, and I can't thank her enough for all her support and guidance. The food was outstanding--our guests are still raving about it! Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the presentation was beautiful. Compliments to the chef and the entire kitchen staff for delivering such a memorable meal. Venuti's truly exceeded our expectations and gave us a wedding day we'll cherish forever. We just had our wedding here on October 26th. We began the planning process with Karen and she was so nice, helpful and accommodating to us. We want to thank Ruby as well for all of her hard work to help make our day so special. These ladies are wonderful and we would recommend them in a heartbeat to the next lucky couple getting married. We want to also thank Frank as well, making sure everything was right for our rehearsal. The venue itself is GORGEOUS. The food, from our tasting to the reception was PHENOMENAL!! Everything we had was delicious and our guests just raved about it all night. We are so glad that we had our ceremony and reception at Venutis! What a Great Restaurant, from the moment you walk in the the door, you know this is a classy place. It' starts with the Owner, what a wonderful human being, A smile and a hand shake you will always receive from him. He has trained his staff to be very polite and also to give you a warm smile. The food is Amazing. I've only been going here a short time and when i'm in the mood for a great dinner and drinks. Venutt's is always on the top of my list. The Servers are so warm and friendly and sweet, you will be hard pressed to fine any better then these beautiful ladies. They work there Asses off. I never had a bad anything from this place. We are writing this review way up from Hayward WI. My staff and I from Puppy Love Pet Styling were in town for The All American Grooming Show. We had heard amazing things about Venuti's and even with our busy schedule made sure it was the one place we visited while in the big city. We were in awe before we even got through the parking lot. The outside architecture was beautiful and once we got inside it was even more amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly to our large party. The food was beyond amazing. This place is a rip off food is ok but screw you on everything they charge you $24.00 for a bottle of wine that sells in any store for $4.00 . they over charge for how many bottles of wine they used and i kept count they wear all half full and when you call the management out on this the answer was i lost 7 million since covid 19 . the staff is very rude and the owner is a tool bag his name is Frank Venuti . the staff also steels favors that you put in the room the night before for you event for the next day . so would never recommend anyone to use this place there are many other places to go to for the same money and better food . read more

Venuti's delivered an absolutely wonderful dining experience for my wife and me and our four friends. My wife and I both ordered the sausage and peppers, which came in a rich, flavorful juice that was so good we didn't want to leave a drop behind, but we took a lot home it was so filling. The focaccia bread was truly to die for -- soft, warm, and perfect for soaking up every bit of that amazing sauce. Our waitress, Aphrodite, took the whole evening to another level. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. A fantastic meal from start to finish. We heartily recommend Venuti's for great Italian cuisine. read more

My husband and I had our wedding here about a week and a half ago and everything was PERFECT! It was more than we imagined it would be. Ciara was SUPER helpful in meeting all our expectations and even more. She went above and beyond to make our wedding look magical. The food was amazing and our guests talked about it for days after the wedding. We also worked with Ruby in designing our menu cards and she was great! Both Ciara and Ruby were very easy to work with and they both made sure everything met our expectations. Great Italian dishes complement the ambiance of the beautiful main dining room. My visiting family always insists on dinner at Venuti's. My son always requests his favorite waiter, Felix to serve us. (Felix - do you remember the big blond guy?) We also go for holiday events including Easter and New Year's Eve - there are extensive buffet and fresh food preparation stations at the Easter celebration event. First time here, passed by many times not knowing it was also a restaurant, thought only a banquet hall.......WOW was I surprised. Decor inside is very pretty, if you like lounge type music (Frank Sinatra etc.) you'll enjoy the atmosphere as we did. Our Server Kimberly was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and I'd love to have her again. I had the Chicken Marsala, my husband had the homemade Ravolli and sausage. I nearly cried. It's been too long since I was delighted or excited by dining out. Do you feel like quality ingredients and delicious food got lost in the last couple years? I FOUND them again at Venuti's in Addison. Fresh, delicious, authentic, warm and inviting. The focaccia is incredible. This evening I went with the chicken francaise - the best I've ever had - not exaggerxating. Tried the pizza too - sooo good. It was like a Thursday night miracle. We recently had our daughters wedding in the banquet hall. The venue was beautiful and elegant. The staff was phenomenal. Special 'shout out' to Karen D. for her attention to detail and willingness to ensure we had the best experience. Also, Banquet Manager, Paula, and her service staff who were very professional and pleasantly attended to every need of our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful. Venuti's is awesome! Had my daughter's baby shower there and the room was gorgeous and the food was amazing! All the guests raved about the food. Everyone had more than enough to eat. The guests had lunch for the next day. Chicken francese was delicious! The server, Theresa, went above and beyond to make our experience at Venuti's delightful! The cheese wasn't melted, the middle was soft and sat in a puddle of tomato water when you opened it up. We were planning on meeting back again for dinner with our partners, but both agreed we're going to find someplace else.
