Came for Easter dinner and our wedding anniversary. We ordered the clam chowder, the hot seafood tower, fish and chips and the lobster roll. All in all good dinner, but it felt like something was missing or I was underwhelmed in terms of flavor and quantity.. Service was great and the vibe was relaxed. I would try other places especially for the amount we spent.

Great Service & Great meal! The ambience was a casual seafood restaurant. We had drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. We visited just because. I don't particularly eat seafood so I ordered chicken. My family loved all their seafood items. I would order the haddock next time I visit.

I'm not sure why Shaw's in Schaumburg rating isn't higher! We went for NYE and had the best time. Their drinks are delicious and they have a large selection of liquor and wine. We started with a sushi roll and oysters. They are very good. They did mess up our order of oysters but we were pleased and the waiter took care of it. His service was phenomenal despite the mix up. My husband and I had the surf and turf which was amazing! We shared our sides and there was plenty of food leftover. I love the decor which feels like an old school Chicago steakhouse. Shaw's never disappoints me!

16 bone BONE-IN RIBEYE

Went there for my birthday. 5 of us. Service was ok. Nothing special. One of the girls asked if they had any thing like a daiquiri with out alcohol. His response was I do not have a blender. I am glad no one else at the table cought on. All the seafood was great. Soups great. Deserts were great. Ambiance ok. But the $75 16 ounce bone in ribeye was so bad and tough it was crazy that they could even serve it let alone at that price. Crazy. It shows there management team does not even Tast there own food.

Shaws is a must when in the Chicago area. It is one of my favorite classic restaurants that yes, I order the same thing every time I've gone over the past 14 years. I've patronized a few of the locations over the years and the food, service, atmosphere, and experience has always been commendable.

If you are looking for a nice evening out in an art deco atmosphere with some really good seafood, I recommend Shaws. The location feels like a step back in time, with the decor and the music. The waiters are dressed elegantly, and are quick to take your drink order. The food is the real star here. The calamari was sublime. Perfectly seasoned and impeccably cooked. Not rubbery, just tender and delicious. The surf and turf with lobster tail and petite mignon was a wonderful combination. We had ours with a side of balsamic glaze brussel sprouts and creamy garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was the real star, as it was very tender and perfectly seasoned. The lobster tail was succulent and melted in your mouth. The shrimp cocktail comes with an honorable mention. The cocktail sauce is fresh, and the shrimp tails are meaty. We also enjoyed 1/2 dozen oysters, and they were briny and sweet. Overall, everything was mouth watering.

Piece of metal compared to a dime

I'm finally getting around to writing a proper review of our experience here back in February. My wife and I came here to celebrate my birthday. Our server was wonderful, however the salmon dish my wife was served had 2 metal pellets embedded within the potato side. The first bite she took that had the first pellet, she thought it was just a hard crispy piece so she spit it out and set it aside, not seeing exactly what she bit down on. She continued eating, until she bit down hard on an even larger pellet, which was sent back to the kitchen to show them and never returned back to us as evidence. I'm not sure if these pellets were broken off from a kitchen utensil, or where they could have come from, but this immediately ruined our dinner once we figured out that it was a foreign object, and my wife's tooth was hurt. Upon speaking with the manager, our bill was zeroed out, and she took down our information for corporate to reach out to us. We heard from corporate the following Monday, an insurance claim was started, and my wife went to her dentist for x-rays. Luckily there wasn't any permanent tooth damage, only bruising. We never heard any follow up or check in from corporate afterwards, neither the restaurant. Highly unprofessional. What should've been a night out celebrating turned into a night of high stress and regret for choosing this restaurant.

We started off with some appetizers including the cocktail shrimp and crab cakes. Upon presentation, the crab cakes didn't look too fresh or appealing. I thought the most disappointing part of the meal was the lobster bisque. The texture of the julienne carrots contrasted with the other ingredients in the bisque. Given this is a seafood restaurant, I thought they would use fresh lobster. Unfortunately, the lobster was processed and ate like it was machine pressed. With that said, I thought the chocolate cake was decent. Other than that, the service staff was attentive and the dining area was nicely maintained.

Excellent Seafood Option in the Woodfield Mall area. We ordered Norwegian King Crab legs, twin lobster tails, filet mignon, seafood gumbo, variety of side dishes and Shaws seafood salad. The Norwegian King crab legs tasted amazing. The seafood salad was fresh and a great compliment to the filet mignon. We ended the night with chocolate cake and vanilla bean ice cream. Relaxing Ambience and attentive service. Thank you

It's been a while since I have showed Shaw's some love. It's great to know that while my favorites, and prices here have changed, the same great quality food and service has not. My usual menu picks include a French Martini and crab cake. However tonight I ordered the delicious seafood salad and could only eat about a third of it. The grilled calamari makes for a solid start to a meal too. If you get this, try dipping some bread into the sauce and capers from this perfectly cooked appetizer. It was Valentine's night on a Friday so it was super busy, but our drinks were kept as full as our bellies. Thank you Shaw's! I'll be back soon for Restaurant Week and Lent.

Everything here was wonderful. The service, the staff, the food, the ambiance. Came for a rehearsal dinner. Beautiful place altogether. I will definitely come again on my own just to be able to enjoy it again and make sure that it wasn't just because of the event. I had the crusted chicken breast, Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes plus the chocolate cake for dessert. OMG, such a great meal. I also had a rum punch martini that was so good. A must try indeed. I will return next time I'm in the area.

Restaurant was great. I liked that the overall ambiance felt classy with the wood and jazz music. Lobster was soft and cooked perfectly. The server also checked in to see if our steak was cooked to our preference which I appreciated a lot. I really like this place! The only reason why I didn't rate it a 5 was because we went for my boyfriends birthday. Our server gave us ice cream with a candle but when the bill came, they charged us for the dessert we never asked for. Other than that, excellent place and would go again, just not mention we were there for an occasion.

Not sure how I've never done a review for Shaws as I've been coming here for over 20+ years. I've been coming here for so long that in fact, they used to have an all you can eat weekend brunch buffet, which was fantastic. This particular visit with current photos was during a random weeknight and when I tried to make a reservation about an hour to two hours prior to arriving, there were absolutely no tables available for any times on a random weeknight in the dining room. However, we walked in and we were seated on the bar side of the restaurant instead. Service was great and food as usual was great however, on this particular night we were seated next to a table of three gentlemen who were very loud clearly overserved and were discussing things such as narcotics and very explicit sexual acts Two tables around us at that had already been seated, got up and moved, and the person I was with at dinner, brought it to the attention of our server and said to our server I'm very disappointed you continue to serve the three men at the table next to us alcohol real realizing that they've already been overserved and we're definitely rowdy. We did get moved tables a little bit away and to our surprise, our waiter comped our two beers that evening. I was not looking for anything to be free, but rather wanted to have a nice pleasant dinner without having to hear about someone's narcotic use with a prostitute in someone else's Mercedes-Benz that's how bad the conversations were

How is the brunch status currently? I dont see anything mentioned in their main page? Thank you

It's been discontinued

Does the Schaumburg location have a brunch buffet like the Chicago location?

When I went on Mother's Day they had brunch but it was served at our table. I'd recommend checking the website for updates. Especially since COVID-19.

Does the Schaumburg location have outdoor seating right now during the winter?

The patio area had heaters and plexiglass when I was there a couple months ago

Is this restaurant handicap accessible? I read that there are stairs to go to the restroom. Is there an elevator? Thanks!

Yes, they have an elevator!

Need to get some opinions on the noise level at Shaw's Crab House in Schaumburg? My husband has difficulty hearing in noisy restaurants. Thank you in advance!

This is not a noisy sports bar but can get a bit louder during busier times. Regardless, it is worth the trip. Choose a slower day of the week and an off peak time to enjoy Shaw's and you should be fine.

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

Nice that they give an ice cream dessert. Enchiladas: good portion, my son tried mole that was spread on top for the first time, he didn't like it, but it doesn't mean it wasn't good, just something new he didn't enjoy. Cactus taco: they made it right. Nice texture with the crispy beets on top. Fish taco: this was ok, it fell apart bc there were so many tomatoes on top the juice softened the corn tortilla. Salad: good but they didn't have many dressing options and the one that came with it didn't have much flavor to add. Overall, cute spot, price is a bit higher here. They have many seafood entrees, seems to be what many guests ordered so maybe thats popular here. Service was good. No issues and things came out timely.
