What a great idea for $23 to get a singular portion of an antipasta, salad, and smaller entree. I got the meatball, baby gem caesar, and spicy rigatoni pasta. I came hungry and left with leftovers. The caesar salad and pasta were amazing! The meatball was good but ricotta was served room temp where meatball was served hot. My friend and I agreed the temp difference was off. She got the meatball, roasted beet salad, and chicken parm sandwich. The beet salad wasn't her favorite as the arugula kept getting stuck in her teeth. The chicken parm sandwich had great flavor and was a large portion! I love this idea of a prefix menu for a fun lunch out. Highly recommend dinner OR lunch at Lucia Rose as you won't be disappointed.

Love the ambiance, Kathy was great as our server it was that the pizza just wasn't on par with what I've had in the past. I ordered the pistachio pizza, my friend ordered the Margarita. I wanted her to try the pistachio as it always had the ability to roll my eyes with every bite. I was shocked when she said it was just ok. She was right! The pistachio cream didn't have the same taste, actually it had no taste. The cheese wasn't melted, but formed hard ribbons on top, and there was so much sausage the taste was just sausage and salt. Even had my husband taste it when I brought some home and he agreed. No eye roll. My friends margarita was equally as disappointing. The cheese wasn't melted, the middle was soft and sat in a puddle of tomato water when you opened it up. We were planning on meeting back again for dinner with our partners, but both agreed we're going to find someplace else.

Nonna's meatballs ($15) were so juicy and came with the buttery garlic bread crisps! I ordered the cavatelli trattoria ($22) and I'm not exaggerating when I say I still think about it. The sauce was flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I literally now am catching myself looking at the photo I took and craving it all over again. My husband ordered the sausage and pepperoni woodfired pizza ($18), but after trying his dad's charred pepperoni pizza ($19, he immediately had food envy. The charred pepperoni, pesto, and drizzle of hot honey just took it to another level, so he started stealing some of those pieces. I should have been given 2 loaves of French bread, but instead they were cut in pieces in brown bags, too stale to use next day. I ordered a pound of Italian cookies. Definitely NOT bakery cookies for $17.95 a pound. They were the same as what Jewel, across the street, sells. Never again. Next time Bouna Beef. So disgusted!

As soon as we gave the word, we were ready for food - there was no hesitation in how quickly the food came out. The flow of the food was great, we never waiting more than a minute or two for the next course to arrive. The food was AMAZINGLY Good- everything was hot and delicious and the presentation was wonderful. Our complements to the Chef! The room itself was set up very nicely; we were able to go in there the evening before to set up and decorate. All the staff were very nice and friendly to us and all the guests. Jonathan & Cathy were very accommodating to our requests and helped us keep the flow of the evening moving nicely. They both were even helping clear plates and re-fill drinks and make sure everyone had whatever they needed. Jonathan & Cathy really went above and beyond for our event. I would absolutely recommend Antonio's for your event (wedding reception, baby shower, corporate event, baptism etc.) The reason I didn't give 5 stars has nothing to do with Jonathan or Cathy or the food or the area we had our event in, but with the bar/bar tender. He was sneaking in 20% gratuity on some of our guest drink tabs. There was no rhyme or rhythm on who he chose to add it in. Some guest would order a drink, and it wouldn't be on there - then the same guest would order another drink, and it would be on there. If that is standard for an event like ours - we could have simply been told that up front instead of the feeling he was sneaking it in and taking advantage. That made our guest uncomfortable and unfortunately was talked about throughout the evening. Anytime someone said "were going to go get a drink" everyone was warning them to look at the receipt and be careful about the 20% gratuity automatically being added. In some cases, he was tipped from our guest on top of the 20% gratuity he was adding in, them not realizing he already claimed a tip for himself on their tab. It came off very sneaky and made several guests uncomfortable including the immediate family of the bride & groom. It's very unfortunate that an event that is going so well and everyone enjoying themselves, changed really quick because of this "pick and choose" who's tab will get automatic 20% gratuity and which one wont. He wasn't even honest to the guest who added a tip on top of the 20% he added, to let them know a tip was already included. He seemed perfectly fine taking advantage of our guest and that left a really bad taste in everyone's mouth! If this is just a standard for Antonio's (the 20% automatic tip on bar tabs) then that should be told up front, otherwise it comes off as sneaky and deceptive. Which is how everyone felt! All in all, the staff, food, venue, flow of the evening all went perfectly. I would still recommend Antonio's for your event, I would just ask for clear communication on the bar tab/gratuity situation to avoid feelings of sly behavior from the bartender.
