It's been a while since I last visited this Veracruz location, but I'm glad I did! It's a bit tucked away within the surrounding neighborhood and has a limited number of nearby parking spots, but there's plenty of street parking if you just drive out a little bit. The area is laidback with a play area for kids/families. There's also a coffee shop right next door. In terms of service, the staff are great -- just need to be prepared for a wait, especially if you're there during the weekend. (To be fair, they do have a sign by the register that says they make fresh food, not fast food). You also have the option of doing an online order + pick-up, which may speed things up. I usually get the migas tacos at Veracruz but went with the grilled fish taco this time, which was also very delicious! Grilled Fish Taco ($7.50, 5/5) - The grilled tilapia was tender yet still held its shape. It also had just the right amount of crunch. - The toppings (cabbage, mango pico, cheese, avocado, chipotle mayo salsa) made each bite very enjoyable - As always, love the sauces here Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a casual place to eat some good tacos. My first review was from a DoorDash order- I've since become a regular at their littlefields location off of Windsor. The prices are a bit high BUT I do think it makes sense with the price of all supplies going up. Now, the food is so stupid delicious. It makes me forget that my steak quesadilla and watermelon agua Fresca was $28. And that's not sarcasm, I legit don't care when the food is this good. I usually order a barbacoa taco and an agua Fresca and it is consistently phenomenal. The salsas are delicious, pour both on your food. They have a different flavor profile and both accompany each other well. The staff here is so friendly, they try to get your order quickly, and communicate well when it's ready. Bless the hands that make this amazing food! This location is inside the littlefields location so there's tons of seating and a fenced in play area for kids. It's not a playscape, more so a space to run around with room for tons of imaginative play. Parking here can be dicey, please take notice of the customer parking signs. And for the love, do not block the fire lane. It makes it impossible for people to leave their actual parking spots. Fast and friendly service, and the tacos were solid. I ordered the al pastor and grilled steak tacos -- both had a good amount of meat and decent flavor. The green salsa was really delicious and added a nice kick. That said, I don't quite understand the pricing? Is it the cute taco packaging sticker? For what you get, it feels overpriced. I could go a minute down the street to another taco truck and get tacos that are just as good (if not better) for about 50% less. It also came with cilantro (which I hate) so I asked to leave it off ~ also ordered the guacamole & chips also quite, quite good still chunky but smooth with some red peppers a bit of cilantro which wasn't very much so easy to pick out~ My husband ordered the El Pastor tacos on flour tortillas also overstuffed with meat~ equally delicious plus a watermelon water, literally watermelon juice soooo refreshing served iced cold. This is a trailer in a lil park called Littlefield off Mopac ~directly across from so cute white apartments with pink doors. First time here but surely not the last. As others has stated Veracruz's tacos are just plain wonderful. The Littlefield's Veracruz location is perfect venue to enjoy a coffee and a taco or two. The location is beautiful with shady picnic benches, fans and a large play area for the kiddos. Our little one was immediately drawn to the large chalkboard. As you can imagine this place is a magnet for parents wanting to enjoy a coffee & taco while the kiddos play. Dogs are welcomed on the patio but thankfully not on the turfed play area. Parking can be tight in their lot especially if you arrive after 9AM. There is street parking. Oh, the tacos. They are what you would expect from Veracruz. One overstuffed breakfast taco was enough for me. They also provide a generous amount of red and green salsa with each order. Easy 5-star review. read more

This is one little spot of Paradise - located implausibly right next to Mopac Loop 1. A set of ugly apartments shelter the Littlefield's complex from the sound, roar and gasses of Mopac. Within that sheltered harbor is a treelined arbor with a park and food trucks. There is a nifty playground in the park. This could be your three year old's favorite taco stand. The trees, the fencing and the landscape architecture make a place so beautiful, this might be your favorite taco stand even if you are fifty three years old. (You might like it too if you are eighty three if your digestion can take the spicy sauces and your cardiologist will let you have the bacon in some of the dishes.) Perfect tacos? I got one El Tradicional Taco and one Migas Taco with Chorizo. Both were amazing and packed to the brim with both ingredients and flavor. It comes with an incredibly cute park area with plenty of bar seating and picnic tables. I saw a kid's birthday party here. Since it's in a neighborhood, there will likely be tons of kids as was the case for me. My only knock on it is that it's in a Tarrytown neighborhood and that means incredibly sparse parking and you'll most likely have to find street parking. However, even on Saturday at 10am, I didn't have to park toooo far. So parking should not be a deterrent to coming here. As for food, Migas tacos is always slammin'. HEB is life). PARKING: Can be busy, there's a few spots in the parking lot, but you'll have to get lucky. Plenty of street parking, though sometimes you'll have to park around the corner, which can suck when it's hot out. LINE: The wait is a little deceptive. The line might look short/non-existent, but if you see a lot of folks bumming around without food, you can bet they're waiting for their tacos. Personally, I feel the wait is shorter during the weekdays even when there are more cars. AREA: Walled area with a decent grassy area. There's also a coffee stall and snowcone stall in the same area. A counter seating area and several park tables. A small playground, which is great for folks with small children. We got two tacos- one migos and one of the fish tacos. Each were $6 and were big but not huge. The fish in the fish taco was pretty disappointing- it was relatively bland and had that fishy flavor that wasn't cooked out. The migos was better but I wish there was more egg and cheese- it still tasted somewhat bland and I wanted more out of the taco. Some amount of time later, that seemed longer because we were hungry, we arrived at Veracruz. So excited! This location is soooo cute! There is a verdant patio space with a number of picnic style tables and benches in front of where you place your order. So relaxing! The menu has a bunch of tempting choices so we will have to come back next time we are in Austin to try other things. We chose the Migas Taco and the Migas Poblanas Taco. The tacos are just the right size for breakfast. (Maybe that is why they are called breakfast tacos! ...WHAT?) The migas was very tasty with a combination of eggs, tortilla chips, tomato, onion, cilantro, Monterey jack cheese, and avocado on a corn tortilla. This was a wonderful breakfast taco festival made even better with the salsa provided. Our other great choice was the migas poblanas taco with its egg, tortilla chips, poblano pepper, red onion, black beans, queso fresco, and avocado resting in a yummy corn tortilla. This was accented nicely with the house salsa. We shared the tacos on the welcoming open seating patio. We lingered a little while wishing that we had a Veracruz closer to home. There was extremely limited parking space. Approximately only 5-6 parking spaces were for customers. The rest of the parking lot was for the apartment next door. We ordered a guacamole and chips (the food truck sells chips separately) and tacos. You could taste that the guacamole was made from very fresh ingredients. However, it was very bland and needed at least some salt and lime. The chips were average. The shrimp macha taco was interesting. And plantains, yum! The line and wait for this location are pretty standard, usually a line that moves fast, but you end up waiting about 15 minutes for your tacos so you should prep for that in advance. When we drove close to this permanent-food-truck-on-a-hill, my wife thought it was a preschool because of all the tiny children running around the fenced-in yard playing with yard toys as their mothers chatted at tables where they could conveniently ignore their spawn, but when we parked and walked up, I was so happy we gave it a chance.
