This place was so wonderful. I nearly cancelled this reservation aftat having a bad experience at the Ritz Carleton in Philadelphia's restaurant. We loved the outdoor seating and the comfy seats poolside. Service was fantastic. We didn't love the mahi mahi tacos that tasted overly fishy. They didn't hesitate to swap it our with a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was perfect and our kids chowed down on it. The drink menu was on point. My partner got a Pina Colada, which he loved with the warm temps. I got a glass of Justin Sauvignon Blanc, which is one of my favorite wines. Everything about this experience is so relaxing and a perfect spot with kids. They can run around, play games or swim at the the pool. We loved it! read more

Overall the food was very good. I'm not a huge Spanish food person but this was one of the best versions I had. The tapas was very good. The paella was also very fresh. The outdoor patio is just a fantastic experience and the service was exceptional. read more

I recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and had some delicious tacos and pool drinks by...surprise...the pool! Coquina is an outdoor restaurant by the main pool at the hotel. It has a large, covered bar and dining area and is easily accessible while you're lounging pool side. You can also order from Coquina if you're by the spa-pool. I ordered three tacos which were quite big and of course a pina colada because it's mandatory to drink a coconut fruity drink when you're by the pool. At least, those are my rules. Note it's a Ritz restaurant so it's pricey. read more

The beach views were great even in the evening. We ordered ceviche (delicious) and each taco item which was ambitious since we did not realize each order came with 3 tacos! The food was tasty but what really made the experience memorable was a server named JB. JB's attention to detail was exceptional. I took a star off for the pricing- it was WILD. But when you stay at the Ritz, you're going to pay for it! Food was really delicious. We got the nachos as an appetizer ($20)- very good and plenty of toppings. I got a salad and added chicken that was $40! It was good- but nonetheless- $40. Just be ready to pay! Great and friendly service. Food was ok but not above and beyond great for their prices. Tuna salad had good taste but could have used some more dressing. Also had these really hard or very stale corn chips or bread crumbs. Everytime you bit on one, it would hurt your teeth. Street tacos were ok. Mahimahi was the best. Good fresh fish taste. Food v value is a 2. Resort pricing but our party of 10 had issues. Fries were inconsistent as we had kids with multiple orders. $21 for tasteless BBQ shrimp cocktail. $19 for salad wedge? Ran out of bread? Slow service. Too many other places to eat on Amelia Island. I guess ambience is where the money goes. Definitely not a 4.3 rating. read more

Coquina, a restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton resort in Amelia Island, FL is a superb restaurant We had lunch there and our party had the Tuna bowl, Ceviche & a catch-of-the-day (blackened Mahi Mahi) sandwich. The ceviche was a small starter, more Peruvian than Ecuadorean. . It was probably the best Ceviche I've had outside of Peru. The white fish was perfectly tender in the lemon juice. The tuna poke was teber and flavorful. The mahi mahi sandwich was equal in flavor to the other two. All in all a meal of high quality. Expensive, but delicious. read more

This was a solid poolside food spot. The food was good, but it also had a good sit down option if you didn't plan on using it as lunch during your pool or beach day. When you look at the menu, it doesn't show a kids menu but they have all the standard kids foods as options. read more
