I needed a place to wait for some friends and located this place as closeby on Yelp.I was undecided at first do to the fact as we have a locals by my house and it's not a place I hang at alone but as I turned the corner at the fence opening to Locals and I was wowed immediately by the patio which was sizeable with fire pits and benches which said this is a cool place to be. As I walked inside and scoped the place it was so lengthy in size. Cute cubie style tables and a long bar with a huge chicken at the end. As you proceed down the area it does a quick left and there are several nice looking pool tables. First thing I noticed was..no smoke from smokers? I was happy. Locals is a pretty nice place. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. We went the night before July 4th so there was a very patriotic group of loud women that were clearly having a great time. We were happy the DJ cranked up the music to drown them out a little. There was a giant white cock (see pictures) that turned into a jungle gym with those Patriotic ladies. I recommend not playing pool at the billiard table next to the cock. He sure gets a lot of attention. He created a high traffic area. There are a total of 4 pool tables, so that was where we stayed. Our bartender was fantastic and Locals has a decent selection of wine and spirits. I didn't venture to the very back of the place but from the Billard area, it appeared to be a country club with a stage. The restroom was clean, the staff was nice and the place seemed pretty clean too. We will definitely go back. It was nice finding a place like this in Fernandina. read more

First time last night at this super fun bar! One side is country (Sadler Ranch) for live music and other side (Locals) with DJ and pool tables. Very laid back, dancing and great drinks. Staffs all very friendly...only down side is this place is 45 minutes drive from Jax. Would totally recommended to anyone out in Fernandina/Amelia area. read more

They have one of the best Happy Hours on the island. Staff is attentive. Fair alcohol prices and a really nice selection of beer and wine. We sit inside when it's hot out but have nice outdoor seating as well. Pool tables are usually being used. read more
