Found this gem on a quick visit to Fernandina. A homey little family run place with home made dishes. Sat at the table by the window. They also have porch seating but it was a bit breezy today. Ordered coffee with cream. Awesome hospitality and caring service. I ordered one of the quiches of the day - which was very meaty. Delicious! Paired with roasted potato bites and a spring salad lightly dressed. It was hearty and so good! The other quiches had goat cheese (which I shy away from) but would have loved the other ingredients!! I'll stop gatekeeping -- Twisted Table is the place to go. Family-owned, welcoming, and everything I've tried has been an absolute 10/10. Today I had the mushroom quiche and Italian wedding soup, and both were so delicious. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich and was completely blown away. There are so many chain restaurants nearby that are slammed and honestly not even half as good as this place. If you're looking for quality food made with care, this is it. Monday morning snack in Fernandina Beach. Service was amazing! They even brought a bowl of water for Lexi. We shared a small leek and goat cheese quiche with a latte and a tea (for me). We opened the place on Sunday 8 AM. We had the French toast, one piece with fresh strawberries the other with fresh blueberries. Both were wonderful gourmet casserole style French toast. Delicious!!! She also makes fresh blueberry and strawberry jam to go on toast! You can tell by the quality of the food here that it is prepared by someone who cares. Not just a line cook throwing food on plates. The classic breakfast includes nicely, scrambled eggs, roasted home fries fresh greens with tomato with just the right amount of a homemade lite dressing. if you opt for a side of bacon, it will come out crisp and dry perfectly done. The service was very attentive and obviously took pride in his job as well offering information that helped in decision-making. If you're going to have breakfast anywhere on the island make sure you try this food haven! They also serve lunch here. We can only assume that it would be just as well done! read more

We had breakfast today at the Twisted Table and it was absolutely amazing! The mother and son team were so friendly and took great pride in each dish served. Our breakfast started off with a complementary pimento cheese and crackers, which were exceptional. I had the brunch sandwich which had sausage, arugula, roasted red peppers, manchego cheese on a brioche bun. It was excellent. My husband had a jalapeño chorizo quiche. Both were served with delicious potato bites and light side salad. We definitely found our go to place for breakfast/brunch the next time we are in Fernandina Beach. read more

What a pleasant and unexpected experience, After reviewing the information here to try a few nearby restaurants the night before we put a plan in place and headed out in the morning for breakfast. Our first stop crashes and burned with an hour wait for a table, our next choice we called as we were leaving stop one and was told they were open and readily available. Upon arriving quite the opposite was the case, the gate was open and the closed sign was still hanging out. We presses through and opened the door to the restaurant only to see they were not open and we're running about an hour behind before officially opening. Strike 2... on to the next place and you guessed it, 45 minutes to an hour wait... Strike 3!!!! So perplexing as it was, we walk into the street as saw this place across the street. It did look like it was to overly crowded so we ventured in. We were greeted by a young man and a woman behind the counter, we were quickly seated and began to review the menu. The option were limited but that essentially tells more attention to detail is used with their menu items. We presented the woman with the opportunity to shine and serve us the 2 best dishes that best describes her passion for cooking. There were no disappointments, she provided me with a great bagel and egg sandwich complimented by the crispy French toast that was accented by fresh fruit. This was such a sweet, small establishment. We came in for breakfast after a morning of horseback riding. Coffee and Bloody Mary cocktails were delicious and so were the cheeseboards we started with.
