    6.15.26 pork taco trio #yum #ReviewsByRL
    Raena L.

6-15-26 I live north, so the location at 116 in Fishers is closest to us, but we were on the southside and hungry, so this was perfect. Located at the Greenwod Park Mall, we were able to find fairly close parking in the crowded lot. It was a hot day, and they had all the large doors up so the patio seating flowed into the restaurant. Very tropical effect, but it. was. hot. inside where we were seating. The interior is quite nice looking / elevated decor that does match the elevated prices on the menu, ha. Our food was great (it's always beautiful and tasty at Verde), but the time we were done eating I really couldn't wait to get into the car's AC. #yum #ReviewsByRL

What a surprise when you walk into this place! Definitely an elevated vibe and classy decor. Makes you feel like you're on a vacation despite being at a mall. Food was delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and service was pretty good.

Love the ambience, interiors, menu and the food options but service could improve. I don't want to generalize but our server was super laid back, seemed like she's really not interested in serving us. She forgot to bring a drink we ordered and did not even apologize when we asked for it. On top of it, when we asked for the check and were taking a few seconds to review it before handing out our credit card, she started tapping her fingers on our table - so rude! The food, however, was great! We got tacos and pollo chipotle. The guac portion was very little but the flavor of everything we ordered was good. I'll be back for a second chance because it could be just that one server not feeling up for the job that evening. A good spot to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays, or for a girls night.

I've visited the Ironworks location several times and I'm so excited there is now one closer to me. It's so beautifully decorated inside. And all of the food is beautifully presented and plated. The employees were all friendly and we got our food quickly. It is on the more expensive side but it's totally worth it.

    Shrimp street tacos, side corn

I was a little skeptical as it's connected to the mall, but the reviews brought me in. Also didn't realize they have bunch locations around Indy. More northern Indy. Ambience - 5/5. Huge bar, great decor. They have a patio as well Service - 5/5. Bar staff is highly knowledgeable and friendly. Food- just amazing. Got the shrimp street tacos with side of corn. Ok why the corn? Why not. Not filling like rice or beans. And actually great match with the tacos. Buttery, good seasoning. The tacos? Shrimp definitely had a little kick but not over powering. The homemade corn tortillas were awesome. And to top off with a slice of fresh avocado? Perfect. Everything was on point. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. This is NOT your typical Mexican restaurant, it's is 100% a bunch of notch's up.

Checking out their new Greenwood location!

We love the 86th location so we were super excited that they were expanding to Greenwood. They've completely remodeled the inside (was Bar Louie) and it looks fabulous! So warm and inviting with a fresh vegetation vibe. It reminds me of Mexico. The menu is upscale with some Mexican favorites but lots of flare and some items you can't get elsewhere. Price ranges from about $12 and up. I got a Texas margarita which is very large, $17, and gives a nice buzz. My husband got a Patron margarita which was not as large, both great! Shrimp fajitas (or your choice of meat) come out sizzling on a little metal tray, so flavorful! He got the steak Mexicano burrito and it was so large he couldn't eat it all. They do give chips and very delicious salsa to snack on. Definitely recommend!

Great slightly upscale Mexican restaurant in Greenwood at the mall. Interior is really nice, dark wood and artwork. The greeter was nice and quickly took us to our table. We had a larger group. And it took a while for the server to show up. But when she did, she got us drinks and some chips and salsa. However, the chips ran out very quickly, and it took her some time to get back with additional chips. She brought water in a bottle and poured it for each of us and left what was left, but for seven or eight people that one little bottle didn't last very long so we spent much of the appetizer course without anything to drink other than the ordered drinks. We got a wide variety of food. We ordered a couple different queso's one with chorizo and just one plain, they were very good, but again the chips ran out early and we sat for sometime, unable to eat the queso. We got a wide variety of tacos with each person, ordering different things, one person got fajitas, one got a chimichanga, and one vegetarian. All were very good. Everyone at the table was very happy. The food was hot, very well flavored, most of them with rice on the side some of them came with beans as well. A number of them came with a variety of sauces for dipping. All in all the food was excellent. The atmosphere was really nice. Unfortunately the server just had too much going on, which caused us to be left out a little bit, not her fault. But it did make for a lot of waiting for things. Price is a little high for what we got, but based on the location and the quality of the food, it was OK for a special event.

This was our first time at the Greenwood location. Raizel was great, very friendly and answered questions. She gave us time to enjoy each course. We weren't rushed. The ribeye tacos are still our favorite! Ambiance is nice, music was playing, US Open was on the TV at the bar. Even got our other favorite dish to go, the Pozole.

If you're looking for elevated Mexican cuisine, this spot is a must! A friend and I went for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu and we still asked for to-go containers for our left overs. The steak fajitas came out sizzling, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with tender meat and grilled veggies. The strawberry margarita(s) were cold, delicious and disappeared very quickly The atmosphere really stood out -- upscale and modern without feeling overdone or cheesy. No heavy "simple green cleaner" ;-) smell. Everything from the guacamole to the presentation and service felt top-notch. I'll definitely be back!

It's absolutely gorgeous on the inside. Service was fine. Nothing special. The food was a huge let down. All the meat on my skewer entree was dry and over cooked. My friend has the octopus and he said it was not good at all. My husband's arroz con pollo was sub par and barely warm.

I'm so glad this has made it to the south side! The inside is gorgeous and the have a fabulous looking patio! Our server recommended the Patron marg. I wasn't sure but she said if I didn't like it, she would comp it! No need!! I had two of them!! Chicken fajitas were fabulous and the set up is magnificent. Got the octopus ceviche to go and my husband loved it. I can't wait to go back. It's a bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants but it is soooooo worth it!

Strawberry margarita on the rocks with sugar on the rim

My husband and I made reservations to check out Verde. This restaurant is located on the outskirts of the Greenwood mall. The inside is nice, lots of modern looking lights. Large bar area also decorated with hanging type lights. We were seated quickly at a very small table towards the back of the restaurant. The restaurant at 6:15pm on a Saturday evening was maybe half full, still lots of open tables. The chairs at the table were snug for smaller normal side people, definitely not meant for overweight patrons! Our server approached us quickly and took our drink orders, I decided to try out a mango margarita on the rocks and my husband ordered a bandito. Chips & salsa were quickly brought to the table. The salsa was good, it has a little spice to it. We then ordered the guacamole, and that was brought over to the table quickly. Our server came back and we placed our orders for dinner. I ordered the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and my husband ordered the casa burrita. While we waited for our food, we noticed a dj playing dance music. Our food arrived and it looked good, small portions compared to other Mexican restaurants we have been to. Very small portions of rice and beans as well. I was brought 3 small tortilla shells as well. My food was ok, didn't have much flavor on the chicken. The portion was small and I was still hungry after eating it. Our server came by and I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks, as the mango one was not that good. We decided to order the churros for dessert and those arrived in a little car with Carmel and ice cream. The presentation was cute for the churros and they were really good! This place is definitely expensive for Mexican food, the drinks were just ok, the guacamole was good and the churros were good. Did my experience equal out to the $125+ bill we received, no not at all. My husband agreed and said the price was not worth it and he has no interest in coming back.

We visited Verde Mexican Restaurant on Valentine's Day and sat at the bar. As expected for the holiday, the restaurant was very busy. It did take a while for someone to greet us, but once we ordered, our drinks arrived fairly quickly. We started with the Rockefeller oysters, which were very good. For our main course, we ordered the Pescado Dorado. We received our appetizer without issue, but after waiting about an hour and never receiving our entrée, we decided to ask for our check. When the bill arrived, we noticed we had been charged for the Pescado Dorado even though we had not received it. After we brought this to their attention, staff went to the back and then brought the dish out, explaining that the wrong seat number had been entered and the plate had been sitting in the kitchen. Essentially, we were presented with a meal that had been sitting in the back for an extended period of time and were still expected to pay for it. They did remove the entrée from our bill, which we appreciated. However, the manager never offered an apology and instead placed the blame on the bar staff for entering the wrong seat number. While we understand that mistakes happen especially on a busy holiday a sincere apology and better accountability would have gone a long way in improving the experience.

Tried Verde recently and wow--it was super tasty! I recommend the pastor tacos. The chocolate flan was delicious.

They did a great job. Only four stars bc the refried beans are made with white beans which was very unexpected and their salsa is verde (made with tomatillos?) instead of the traditional red tomato one. They should give you an option. Granted I didn't ask bc I wanted to see what the "standard" things are. Their chips are fresh and tastes like they make them in house. You have a choice of corn or flour tortillas with your meal. Plenty of cheese drip is included in almost every dish so if you prefer more traditional dishes (wout all the cheese) let them know. They took it out for us. We only had the chicken loko dish but that was good. Easy parking too. Solid 4

Ambiance: This place is super cute. It's admittedly a small place next to a vape shop in a dinky…read morestrip mall but they've decorated very well inside and done what they could. It's clearly a family run business with the daughters helping out front and a mom in the kitchen. The place is freshly painted, there are comfy padded booths, tasteful decorations, and unobtrusive latin reggaeton playing in the background. Service was very friendly and food could take slightly on the longer side but that's because everything is made to order. The moment we put our order in we could hear the kitchen (which was one lady) throwing stuff on the cooktop and working hard the whole time. Food: They served some complimentary chips and salsa which were very good. The chips are actually fresh fried still with the glistening oil on them. Likewise, we got a bunch of tacos and the tortilla shells were fresh fried and crispy which was amazing. Quesa birria - The birria has a very deep rich flavor almost like cabeza meat, it might be from the bone/marrow used in the stock but it has a almost game-y flavor I hadn't had before. The dipping broth was excellent and they serve it with sliced cucumber, radishes, grilled jalapeños and caramelized onions which was such an amazing touch. If you're not opposed to bold flavors I would recommend this. 4.5/5 Barbacoa taco - Not a saucy Barbacoa like Chipotle but equally as flavorful and tender. This will always be a safe bet if you just want a beefy taco that pairs great with their salsas. 4/5 Al pastor torta - My wife likes tortas more than me but I will say the Al pastor is great. They do not skimp on the caramelized pineapple chunks and the pork has a nice coating of that smoky savory achiote seasoning. The torta itself is balanced in terms of the lettuce, beans, and tomato. The bread tastes home made with a slightly chewy texture. 4.5/5 Horchata - It's creamy and rich but not too sweet and generally mild on the cinnamon, all around enjoyable. They give you a giant mason jar of it too which is like 900 ml! 4.5/5 Special mention to the salsas which are just plain great. The hot salsa is like a roasted jalapeño salsa with a smokey kick from either pasilla or guajillo chiles. The green salsa is just perfectly balanced with a gentle savory and tangy flavor that enhances whatever you put in on. Overall I seriously enjoyed Fridas. It is not fancy or innovative but if you're looking for a family-run hole-in-the-wall business serving authentic and filling food, I would strongly recommend giving this place a try. Just for reference, we got two entrees, an horchata, and a la carte taco for $40 (pre-tip) and were stuffed for the rest of the day.
