If you theme a thing with wrestling, I'm going to like that thing. This place did not let me down. But to my surprise, it was how good the food tasted more than the decor that won the match for me. Tortas are not my first choice at a Mexican restaurant, but as their name suggests, Super Tortas Lucha Libre knows what their doing. The bread, the bread, the bread... perfectly firm to the hand but soft to the mouth. From there it's really about selecting your favorite ingredients for the inside, and I recommend the Alemana. Breaded steak and chorizo are like the tag team that has different backstories but comes together unexpectedly to win the titles much to the fans' delight! I was also impressed by the elote fries, and I used the salsa verde that came as a side with my torta to balance out the creaminess of the elote fries. The habanero and chipotle salsas were too spicy and smokey, respectively, for my liking. For the non-wrestling fans in my party of five, the Lucha Libre theme was just moderate enough to enhance the vibe rather than distract from it. There's a pretty prominent bar inside and ample patio seating outside to fit whatever size or mood you need.

The tortas are fantastic, and if you want to replace the beef with chicken just ask them! The salsas were delicious, bread perfect, and melted cheese crispy and delightful. I tried the dessert; torta with Mexican jello. The texture is absolutely crazy, but it was good. Service was great and atmosphere chill.

My friend and I came for lunch today. There was a lunch special for half a torta with fries and a drink. I ordered the Brazil torta which is the breaded steak, pineapple and mozzarella cheese. I enjoyed the torta- the half of it was more than filling. The fries were a little heavily seasoned but I didn't mind them. The inside of the space is nicely decorated with murals. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Friday afternoon a while ago. Tacos were amazing and we got the dips to try as an appetizer. I got two steak tacos and my partner got one each of chorizo, steak and chicken. The steak tasted a little off in them like maybe it should have been pitched the day before... but the chorizo was incredible, the chicken had great flavor and the guacamole itself was worth the drive from Greenwood. The Michelada hit the spot, so good!

Horchata - tasty!

Three cheers for a New Mexican restaurant in Fountain Square! The staff here are wonderful and the service was great! I have a gluten allergy, so I decided to try the some tacos and an horchata. The tortillas were super good and slightly crispy (which I loved)! I ordered a chorizo taco and also a carnitas, based on the recommendation of the guy who took my order. Both tacos were filled to the brim with meat! I could barely finish both tacos. The red salsa was super spicy and the green salsa was less spicy. Both had great flavor and paired well with the tacos. The carnitas meat was good. The chorizo was not my favorite. It was good, but a little on the mushy side. The interior is super welcoming and colorful!

Patio is nice

We just kind of stumbled upon this place looking for a taco Tuesday spot. They have a cool patio that we parked our bikes under while we went inside. The staff was extremely nice and insisted they would serve us outside with our bikes. The menu board inside showed specials for the day. * 3 tacos and a beer for only $10. The inside was very nice, clean and inviting.

Great service with recommendations, the food was hot and delicious. Got the Durango tortas el special. If you're a fan of wrestling this is your place to look around. It feels like you're in the ring of Lucha Libre. Very colorful, masks, art, wrestling posters. Give it a try, the food is great!

Walking distance from the SVN deathmatch show I went to in fountain square. Food was banging! Shout out Danny and Sergio the Mario brothers laying pipe and taking shrooms they know how to make a damn torta! Alex helped us at the bar, dude was hilarious and very personable. We went In just for some drinks we got 4 jumex and he convinced us to get the tortas. Being from Miami I got the torta Cubana. Wow that thing is massive! The theme of the restaurant is Mexican luchador and they had AAA and WWE on tv. Super sick. Great experience!

Poblana torta (chicken and chorizo)

Amazing food and service! This is our new go to place for tortas. The Elote Fries are amazing. We love collecting the different luchador tokens in the draft beers also.

Great food and great employees. Clean and quick service nothing to complain about. The sauces were great and perfect spice level

The best!! I love this place. Atmosphere is amazing, as a huge wresting fan I loved watching Charlotte Flair suplex Asuka or a La Parka AAA match going on the other TV while I waited for a beer. The food was mind blowing. Alex did a great job serving, you guys are KILLING it. The salsas were great, the atmosphere was somehow equal. Can't wait to come back.

The absolutely hands-down best Tortas of my life. The bread is incredible and perfectly soft. The breaded steak is to die for.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

New York Gourmet Deli - Cold Italian sandwich!

The O.G.B.L.T. is the way to go. It's a hot and melty sandwich with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato,…read morepepper jack cheese and mayo, all on a hoagie bun. The sandwich is about as long as my humerus, and I ate the whole dang thing in one sitting. New York Gourmet Deli is not to be confused with NY Gourmet Deli, also in Indy. New York Gourmet Deli is located on East 21st Street on the near east side; NY Gourmet Deli is on Ruckle Street, near The Children's Museum. Are they owned by the same people? I don't know, but someone needs to change their name so I'm less confused. Anyway, New York Gourmet Deli, on the east side, is great and located in an unassuming parking lot full of potholes. It looks like a liquor store from the outside, but step inside and you'll see the large deli counter where you order sandwiches, burgers, fries and other foods. The joint is also a convenience store, of sorts, with a wall full of refrigerated beverages, aisles of chips, candy, and lots of Mexican snacks. There's also a little corner of the store with goods like laundry detergent and other necessities. The hustle here is unmatched. The fellows behind the counter were flying all over the kitchen to fulfill the orders. I visited around noon on a weekday, which seemed to be a busy time because there were lots of people from all walks of life here, either waiting to order or waiting for their orders. The guys behind the counter were unflappable and took orders and made sandwiches at a speedy pace. Even if there's a line, you won't wait long for your food.

Service was very good with only a slight wait due to a small line. You order, they start making your order and you pay. A few minutes later the have everything ready and bagged up. I got a chopped cheese, it does reminded me of a sloppy Joe, and my only complaint was I wanted more lettuce and tomato. Richelle got the east coast roast beef and cheddar. She loved it and it had plenty of lettuce and tomato. Fries are good, and the give them a sprinkle of seasoning too. Plenty of cans of pop to choose, but would like to see a few diet pop options added. We will definitely come back, and I ask for plenty of toppings.

I've struggled with how to rate and review Goose the Market for a long time…read more I've struggled mightily. It's an Indianapolis icon in many ways. It's beloved. And listen, it's not the most wheelchair friendly place in the world. If you're a wheelchair user, you're in all likelihood not going to the cellar unless you're extraordinary with you're chair or you crawl. I remember attending a Yelp event here, and I just wrestled with these issues so much. It's not inaccessible - you can get in the door, though even the parking is a bit wonky and the curb-cuts a bit worn. This is an older building in an older neighborhood. So yeah, if you're a wheelchair user plan ahead. I am a wheelchair user. And I suppose I should knock off my usual 1-star for accessibility issues. But, I just can't do it. I, instead, choose to go 5-stars with my narrative disclaimer that there are accessibility issues here. But, my word. This is a great place and every single experience I've had with Goose the Market, including last night's Italian Film Festival, has been stellar whether I'm in their location or at an event they are catering. What is Goose the Market? First off, nearly everyone considers it one of the best - Indianapolis Monthly, Eater, Yelp, etc. Goose the Market offers a daily menu of sandwiches, soups, gelato, and small plates. It offers raw beef, pork, poultry, game, seafood, in-house made sausage/smoked meats, and more. It offers charcuterie - both in-house and from other producers. It offers farmstead cheeses, fresh produce, artisan breads, preserves, sauces, pickles, pasta, crackers, flours/grains, and a lot more. There's the cellar - Enoteca bar with Italian style wine by the glass and small plates (and it has all-ages seating). Goose the Market offers a wine of the month club, gift cards, catering, classes, daily specials, and more. What can I say? There are those places that are worth the effort. As a lifelong person with a disability, I long ago realized the world would never be perfectly accessible. It's never going to happen. I'll continue to work toward a more accessible world, though I'll also honor that there are those places where I feel welcome anyway. I feel welcome at Goose the Market, though I can't quite get the full experience. The service is exceptional, the products quite awesome, the environment warm and friendly, and there's simply no doubt it's one of Indy's treasures. So yeah, five stars. With a disclaimer that those with mobility impairments may need to plan ahead or have a companion along. Who wants to be my companion?

What a fun spot for a sandwich or cheese or sundry items!…read more It is on the corner of two busy streets but does have two spots in front for parking. You can also park in the gravel lot across the road. It was raining pretty heavily so we got wet but wasn't a far dash. The counter is like any deli with the items displayed in the cold case. You can browse the various freezers or shelves for items like picked veggies, canned fish or spreads. It was fun to see that you could buy everything needed for a picnic or impromptu lunch! We got sandwiches to go as well as locally baked cookies. I tried the recommendation for a vegetarian sandwich. It was nice and crusty and had some good flavor. I might create my own next time, but theirs was good and had lots of flavor! My friend was new to Indianapolis and really liked the options. She said she would be back and so will we. They also do tasting events and other things so we might check out one of their offerings. A fun local spot!
