Quick food and nicest staff! We eat here and order pick up and it's always good. The staff remember us and make it a great experience every time we go.

We met my niece and part of her family there for lunch. We were welcomed graciously and seated promptly. They have a menu separate with American chicken recipes. The Mexican food was delicous but it has been Americanized. It was sort of bland. The food was great but a little too bland.

Insane over-abundance of sauce (the pic on the left is a FULL plate of extra sauce).

Nope, never again. I have had a really bad run with bad food and worse service lately and maybe I've been a bit harsh with some of my reviews. But if ever a place deserves one star, it's now. Once we were seated, we sat a good 10 minutes being ignored. I finally flagged down a server and asked if she could send someone our way. She seemed irritated and took our order. I have no idea if she was actually assigned to our table or not, but she treated us like we were a huge burden. Strangely, I saw her interactions with other tables and she was much more friendly. The salsa was fine, the queso was passable. She never did bring the side plate I asked for, so my kiddo ended up eating off the cheese dip saucer. When ordering my enchiladas, I was careful to clearly say I did NOT want lettuce on them. It took a really long time for the food to come out and when it did, there were my enchiladas covered in lettuce. There was so much, I had to send it back. Less than three minutes later, my new plate of enchiladas came out and they were covered in so much sauce, I scraped off enough to fill an entire other plate, and they were still swimming in it. It was so overwhelming, you couldn't taste anything but sauce. It was clear that they just slopped my plate together. Our server didn't come back to check on us, either. Finally, everyone was done and we were ready to go. My kiddo was being a disruptive brat, I admit. But instead of getting our check, our server just gave her the stink eye. Dude, we can't leave until we pay, so bring the check and we will get the hell out of there. Final frustration -- my husband had a free dessert from Spot On. He told the man bussing our table and the man said he would bring it out. He asked how our food was and I told him mine was gross and showed him the plate of sauce. He didn't say anything, but when the bill came, he told us he didn't charge us for it. Then the dessert never came. We waited and waited, but I assume they figured that since we already got something "free" (bad food), they weren't giving us dessert.

I had a lunch date today with my husband. We enjoyed ourselves. Food and service was great. My husband said his Margarita was amazing. My only complaint is the salsa was pretty watery and I didn't get much meat with my Fajitas and the chicken I did get were very small pieces. Customer service was good. I would go again.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!...... Well not really but it seems everything opens with a breaking news story....the sign along south Emerson Ave states the best breakfast in town.....yes why not see what's its all about....the place is empty but that's ok I enjoy dining alone most time in the morning an although there is festive music playing an which to say I never heard a Mexican sad song.....an don't be confused by the hours on the doors entrance they are open 730am......typically my breakfast is standard American fare....but today I explore the menu an choose the Mexican eggs benedict.....English muffins with chirizo eggs peppers an a spicy sauce similar to holandies sauce an servered with hash browns Pico dagolo an guacamole.....this being said very very good food.....my meal 10.55 with coffee....the atmosphere is festive an clean .....so two thumbs up for good food good service....

Seriously! One juice is MULTIPLE servings of both! I walked in and the owner passionately explained all their juices and let me try all of them to make my decision a bit easier. So nice of him! I ordered the "Green with Envy" juice and it has: 1.5 apples, 2 heads of romaine, 1/4 cucumber, 1/4 celery and 1/4 bunch of kale. WOW. Feelin' clean over here. The shop itself is new as of a month or so ago and serves kombucha, coffee (and I believe tea?) in addition to their cold-pressed juices. They didn't have any food that I saw. There are a few tables for people to sit down and work. The owner mentioned that they're currently trying to rebrand to 317 juice so are awaiting a few changes until that name is officially up and running. Stay tuned for them and definitely check them out!

The Carrot Bliss was by far my favorite and could be a great breakfast drink as it's also flavored with orange. Organic, vegan and they also have coffee and teas. Expansions could include smoothies (YUM), a juice bar so people can customize and activities like yoga. This would also be a great work space! Stop in and show them some love.

They make the line move fast, and their positive energy really sets them apart from other drive-thru coffee shops. It's clear they take pride in delivering great customer service. The coffee itself is smooth, flavorful, and customizable, which I love. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the flavors are always balanced, not too sweet, not too strong. I wish all of my reviews could be this on-the-nose and well-thought-out. I love a good theme. Black House Cafe is that kind of place to visit when you want a theme. This coffee shop is all horror movie paraphernalia and horror culture, in the heart of Fountain Square. But although it's all horror all the time, it's more spooky than scary. I would not hesitate to bring a child into Black House Cafe, because there's nothing gory or frightening about this place. Mostly, it serves as a cafe art gallery to some of the more famous horror film leads, like Freddy Krueger, the leprechaun in Leprechaun, Michael Meyers, Chucky and other menacing movie greats. It's a fun and playful space. The ambiance is 100/100. Honestly, if you just visited Black House Cafe to check out the artwork on the walls and absorb the horror vibe, it would be worth it. But this cafe has some creative caffeinated drinks also, so you might as well get a coffee. I wanted to get a coffee, but ended up getting a tea. I got the "It's Alive!" drink, which is matcha with pistachio flavoring and milk. Like all matcha drinks, this was one of those drinks where I was like, "Wow! Matcha really does taste like the way fish food smells!" That said, I liked my matcha, and the addition of pistachio flavor put it over the top. They have a few snacky things on the menu, like pastries, bagels, avocado toast and empanadas. I didn't get anything to eat, but I was very close to considering an empanada. Be sure to visit the restroom! It's Gremlins themed!
