Looking for the best massage of your life? I'm sure everyone is great at Verde Touch and I was brought to this place by a friend who highly recommended David (the owner). BUT this review is mainly about the AMAZING Kat! I started seeing her for a prenatal massage, then postnatal and now normally deep tissue. She's done trigger point with me which is when she holds a point and I breath into it as well as pin and stretch technique. Today we did deep release technique- psoas release. She has been influenced by Rolphing and has studied miofascial releasing technique. She specializes in Integrated Therapeutic, Motherhood / prenatal, Thai, Acupressure, East / West, Trigger point and Deep Tissue. I have been to A LOT of spas and seen many massage therapist all over the country / world and she's tied for first place in my book. Highly recommended her, just don't take my time slot ;) :) PS she also works in the Los Gatos location and if you visit her there you can use the pool / hot tub / sauna :)

I got a prenatal massage at 37 weeks and an induction massage at 39 weeks from Jess at Verde Touch. I wish I would have found this place sooner. It's absolutely the best prenatal massages I have ever gotten. Jess is thoughtful and carefully listens to your body through the process. Highly recommend an induction massage towards the end of your pregnancy when things are really uncomfy - not to mention I went into labor the next day! I will definitely be returning for a postpartum massage in the coming weeks.

I've been a client of Verde Touch for over 4 years and originally found them serendipitously through a simple search on Yelp when I was pregnant. Verde happened to be very close to my home and I decided to give them a try. They've been a key part of my wellness practice and I'm grateful to David and his wonderful staff for keeping me relaxed, grounded and healthy throughout the years so I can simply be a better human :). They've revitalized me through ongoing massage during my pregnancy and well after, healed me through a horrible car accident and continues to surprise me with their craft approach to the art of massage. I value my well-being especially living in Silicon Valley where it's hectic and frequent many spas around the world. Nothing compares to Verde when it comes to a nurturing, intentional, unpretentious and integrated massage experience. Here's my recap: Massage - David is an exceptionally talented therapist himself while also spending many hours training each and every therapist 1 on 1 for quality and consistency. He allows each to infuse their own personality into their practice. I've seen a handful of therapist each with their own style with the signature 'Verde Touch' in mind. You really enter a state of bliss and ultimate relaxation. The tables are comfy and linens soft. For Individual/Couples massages are equally amazing (many options/promotions to find the right fit. For Prenatal - AMAZING recess belly and breast holes in the table so you can lay face down and supported. Staff - David, the owner and Heather, the Ops Manager are first class. In 4 years as a client, I don't think I've ever NOT received a confirmation email, text or some form of communication. If there are any cancellations, there's always a contingency (ie new date or therapist proposed). Their customer service is next level. It's exciting to see Verde's success is creating more demand and increased hiring of diverse and talented massage therapists. Experience Where do I start? Ok here goes... Ambiance - Minimal, inviting, intimate, unassuming. I love it. There's a natural, deeply fragrant smell of the handmade, organic salve made in house, minimal greenery, plush furniture and wood accents that create a warm atmosphere. Water - Reverse osmosis citrus water is clean, pure, refreshing and sooo delicious. Organic Massage Salve - Is used during the massage and infused with quality, Young Living essential oils of your choice (or my favorite, therapists choice). I've used it as a hair mask, moisturize my toddler's skin, moisturize my lips and a plethora of other usages. It's made of organic coconut oil and beeswax and Verde magic. They sell it and I have a tub laying around everywhere - car, bedside, work. Location - Los Altos (cozy corner nook and upstairs location), Hotel Los Gatos, and soon, downtown Palo Alto yay!. Great locations and all unique in their own way and very accessible. Berries! Yes, raspberries, every single time, there for you to enjoy. I munch on them often :) Automated booking App - Lifesaver. I always forget to schedule and with the app, you can pre book immediately or even find sessions last minute. It's been wonderful for not only myself but for my friends and family (i.e. family coming from out of town). The ease of scheduling is amazing. Cost - Reasonable considering all the personal care Verde puts into supporting your well-being. There are so many promotions as well (birthday, try new therapists, etc). David know's how to run a business so Verde will ALWAYS take care of you. Hope you enjoy as much as I have - I think most of my friends are now Verde believers :) To your wellness.

What a wonderful massage I had tonight! Thanks to David, he brought me back to life ‍

I got there early to make sure I had enough time to get settled and do check-in--no one was at the front and I was confused since last time there was someone. It seemed they were just chatting the whole time in the back despite me and one other person entering. It became past 6PM and I finally get settled in. I had my watch on and finally I was helped at 6:20. At this point I was just in so much pain and desperate so I waited. They finally started for maybe 10 seconds, only to leave for like 5-10 minutes to chat in the front, then come back. I was hesitant to just get up and leave but I had already waited so long. Massage was okay. Hated it to be honest. I asked for hard pressure and I feel like the person who did my massage last time did a lot better. It was difficult to communicate so I just didn't want to try. I appreciate that even though she wasn't fluent in English, she still tried. However, I think they should provide a whiteboard/pap similar to what other places do where you circle what kind of service you want, pressure, and focus areas. Anyways I finished the massage, feeling kind of meh about my whole experience. It was still $65 for 60 minutes and I was going to tip 30% which is $19.50. This was already pretty generous and what they usually ask for considering I had a delayed and poor service. I just wanted to leave and the therapist kept asking about the tip and insisted I pay an extra $6 because my back and shoulders were "tight". First off, isn't this what massages are for? I don't get a massage because I'm not tense. I get massages because my shoulders are tense, my back hurts, I worked from home, I'm in pain. Massages are literally meant to treat this. Also, I have NEVER had this experience where a therapist asked me for a tip because of that. I've gotten massages multiple times where they have no issue, and do wonderfully, and I always compliment them. This was horrible and I'm left feeling like this was not worth it. I should have just waited a day to get an appointment at Arisa Thai Massage. Anyways, I just wanted to leave because I was so sick and tired of my experience and just ended up giving her the $25 tip that she insisted on. I'm pretty pissed off. Insane. Literally never going here again. I thought I'd give it a chance since it is walking distance and I just really really was in so much pain and desperate. Now I'm out $90, still in pain, and regretful and wish I just had stayed home and slept it off. I thought that my experience would be similar to my last one, but this time I just had a really bad experience and unfortunately it seems my last visit was a 1-off thing. Left feeling like crying because it just wasn't a great experience and that I had wasted so much time and money. I reached out to the owner about my experience and he offered to give me a free massage at the Sunnyvale location. Unfortunately, it had slipped my mind since I was brought into an escalated meeting for work. I was flabbergasted that he said me not showing up was losing money, but I lost money during my horrible massage and experience. I just hung up at that point and didn't want deal anymore. I feel I gave them a fair chance, but nothing will take away from the experience I had at my last massage session. "Losing money".. no.. at least the business got $90 out of me at my last session. I lost money. Honestly wish I just requested a refund. -- Edit in response to owner: As for the follow-up: yes, I had scheduled a free session, but unfortunately had to miss it due to a work escalation. It happens. I reached out to explain, yet your response was to say that you lost money because I didn't show up. Please understand: I lost money first--$90 for a delayed, uncomfortable, and ineffective massage. And your concern about your loss over my missed free session, rather than any real acknowledgment of what I went through, only reinforced my frustration. I came to you in pain and left feeling worse--physically and emotionally. I genuinely wish I had never returned after my first visit. While I acknowledge you tried to rectify it by offering another session, your handling of this situation afterward makes it clear this is not a business I can trust with my well-being again. I stand by my review.

Review for Watercourse Way Bath House Spa…read more A peaceful oasis in the middle of Palo Alto that works for just about any occasion. This is a long overdue review. I have been to Watercourse Way by myself, with girlfriends, and with boyfriends--and it has been solid every single time. Whether you're looking for quiet alone time, a girls' day, or a relaxing couples experience, this place truly has something for everyone. What makes Watercourse Way special is the privacy and flexibility. The private rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Each one typically includes a hot tub, cold plunge, shower, and a comfortable resting area with clean towels and linens. It feels like your own little retreat tucked away from the world. They also offer larger rooms that are perfect for sharing with friends--soaking, chatting, and maybe adding a massage to the experience. The massage services are excellent, and you can book them individually, as a couple, or as part of a group visit. The staff makes the whole process easy and welcoming. A few practical notes: * Parking can be a little tricky right near the entrance * I usually park at the Whole Foods on Homer Avenue and walk a block or two--it's simple and feels very safe * The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and professionally run * Prices are reasonable for the level of privacy and service you receive What I appreciate most about Watercourse Way is how it encourages you to slow down. It's the kind of place that reminds you to take care of yourself, breathe, and reset. Life is short. Stress is unavoidable. You can't control other people--but you can control how you respond. So go soak. Get a massage. Unwind. Make it part of your routine. You'll leave calmer than when you arrived--and that alone makes it worth it.

I appreciated that she checked in early during the massage to make sure the pressure felt right and adjusted based on my feedback. She mostly used her elbows on my back, and in hindsight, I wish I had spoken up more about preferring hand pressure. Maybe that was just part of the Swedish massage style I selected. The space itself is very clean and quiet, which I loved. The room was a perfect temperature with calming music, so I felt really relaxed throughout the session. The bathroom was clean, the front desk staff were kind, and they even have little candies at the front which is a cute touch. It is on the pricier side, but that might be standard for the area, I'm still figuring that out lol. Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely consider going back.

Plenty of free parking lots and street parking nearby (street parking limited to 2 hours from 9-6pm, except Sundays and holidays)... I parked right in front of the entrance on a Sunday afternoon. Got the combo massage (30 min foot, 30 minute body) which was $50 + $5 additional charge for credit card payment. It was more like 10 minutes on the feet and 50 minutes on the rest of the body. This massage was half clothed. My masseuse had me remove my top and wear a spa wrap garment, covering my upper body but open on the back. The shared massage room had four beds total with curtains that could separate the individual spaces to make them more private. The environment was dimly lit with soothing melodies playing in the background. The pressure during my treatment was good, on the strong side as requested, with the use of hot stones, heated pads, and ashiatsu. I was surprised to find they do back walking in the shared room, but I don't mind a variety of techniques being used as long as it's effective. I honestly don't need all the extras (like burning stones and fancy coverings), just a simple massage focused on loosening my knots. And my masseuse did that for the most part, though she was more successful when using her elbows and forearms. Staff was friendly here too, even with limited communication. Overall, I had a positive experience.

I got the full body and foot massage. Once my appointment started I walked through the curtain into a big open room which had several other tables and that's where I got my massage. They have you put your feet in a little tub of hot water and then I had to take my shirt off and then the masseuse put a sheet over my upper body as she started massaging .This went on for several minutes before I laid down and started the full massage. It wasn't the best experience overall as people were walking back and forth through the room and was talking really loud and was basically stomping through the room. On top of that there was construction going on which felt like above us and there was jack hammering going on while I was getting my massage. And then to top it off a fly was landing on my face in the middle of the massage and I kept moving my face to shew the fly away which the masseuse had no clue why I kept moving. The massage was mediocre at best, but the stretching was really good. When I was leaving the masseuse yelled out to the receptionist in their native language and then the receptionist stopped me and asked for a tip, which I did. Not a place I'd return to. Not the best experience.
