I'm a retired massage therapist and have been doing a move of our house to a location outside the Bay Area and was accompanying my wife to a hair appointment and thought I could really use a good massage. This was my first time using Serenity based on availability, ti, and cost. I called to set up the appointment and got the time that suited my schedule. The office was cal, clean, and quiet when I arrived and Mandy checked me in. I booked an hour session and she gave me a thorough head to toe therapeutic massage treatment for my aching overused body. This was just what I needed and should have had a longer session because she was so good! The price was right too, actually cheaper than the standard of the competitors. She asked what areas I'd like to focus on (head, neck, shoulders) and catered the massage to that. If you're wanting a deep, pain relieving massage then this is the place. Mandy and her associate were SO sweet! My friend and I went and got a Groupon for a "couples" facial and head scalp treatment. Customer service 5/5: Friendly, on time, efficient, and very professional. Ambiance 4.5/5: It's not a super high end place but for everything they offer it's relaxing and nice. The only critique I'd have is having less of the water splashing sounds when getting the head scalp treatment. The background music was nice but I think the water splashing interfered with our zen a little bit! Experience 5/5: Mandy and her associate were really thorough. We were able to see our scalp and hair beforehand. We got a really hydrating facial, my skin was sooo baby smooth after! They used a Dyson on our hair and we got massages during which was so so nice. I did the facial & scalp treatment (I believe Combo #2) with Zoey. Oh my!! It was incredibly relaxing. My face is hydrated, hair is soft and smells so dang good! I loved the before and after of my scalp. The product they use on the hair, Milborn, is highly regarded Japanese hair products that are super expensive. That alone makes the service price worth it. Add in the experience and hospitality and there's no question about pricing. I wish I could go back every week. read more

Booking was quick and easy -- I called, and although they didn't pick up right away (probably busy with other clients), they called me back within a few minutes. The person on the phone was friendly, and we set up my appointment in no time. When I arrived, the spa had that same calm vibe I remembered -- soft music in the background, a light hint of essential oils in the air, and everything spotless. I booked another Swedish massage with Mandy, and before we started, I told her exactly where I was feeling the most discomfort. She listened carefully, asked a few follow-up questions, and then got to work, focusing on those areas. Mandy's technique is incredible -- her pressure is perfect, her hands are steady, and she always checks in to make sure I'm comfortable. I recently visited this spa and overall had a good experience. The lady who did my treatment was very, very nice and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. After the treatment, my scalp honestly felt a lot lighter and cleaner, which I really appreciated. I didn't like that she only showed me my scalp at the hairline split before and after the treatment. I've been to other places that show multiple areas of your scalp so you can really see the difference. Another downside was at the very end of the appointment, the front desk lady barged into our room saying another client was waiting for my technician. It felt unprofessional. Girls Night! was our first time there. Location great and parking was super easy with a lot right in front. We really enjoyed our massages with Yuki, Mandy and Eva. We all wanted different types of massages and they were able to tailor the massage to each of our individual needs and preferences. They were all super friendly and nice. Zoe, the specialist, told me she used to work at a high-end salon in LA that often served celebrities, including the Kardashians and Lisa from BLACKPINK. With her background, I truly felt like a VIP the entire time. Her facial massage was both soothing and impressively effective. My jawline looked more defined, my face felt lifted, and the calming mask left my skin glowing. The head massage and hair spa were absolutely heavenly -- my head felt lighter, and my headaches disappeared. I left feeling refreshed, radiant, and deeply relaxed. If I can give them ZERO stars I would! They ruined my Mother's Day tier my daughter planned for us. My daughter bought a Groupon for this so called spa for us. When my daughter called to schedule the appointment she told the lady she had a Groupon, the lady in the phone told her "next time don't buy Groupon buy it here!" Then why are you on Groupon?? Come on people! Well today was supposed to be our appointment, we get there and the same lady tells my daughter to cancel the Groupon and pay there my daughter explained that she already paid for the Groupon and the woman tells her they ended that deal a couple of weeks ago and they don't know why Groupon is still selling them... not our problem! We left and did not receive service and now my daughter has to deal with getting her money back from Groupon. After we left they texted us from that spa saying the "boss said to accept the Groupon" lady you should have done that in the first place rather than challenging your customer and refusing to accept their Groupon. HORRIBLE customer service NEVER AGAIN with this place! read more

Came in for the first time with my friend and we will definitely be coming back! Lisa and Mandy were so sweet and very considerate. They kept checking up on us whether it the temperature of the water, or how much pressure was being used. We got their 60 min essential head spa treatment for 2! Such a great deal. Because it was our first time they even included a few more steps into our treatment. They walked us through every step and even told us where we can get their products. If I can give more than 5 stars I would! I recommend coming in for a wonderful and relaxing experience! My hair feels so amazing and soft. First time coming here, they were super nice and considerate. Came here with a friend and got a 60 minute scalp treatment, they told us every product that was used, kept on checking up on us about the pressure from the massage wether if it was too hard or if it needed more pressure, and checked up on us about the temperate of the water. Mandy and Lisa were super nice! Would definitely come back. My hair feels so soft and smooth, and at the end after they're done drying your hair they show you on a camera how clean your scalp and hair is. read more

This was my first time going into Serenity Wellness Spa, and I was very happy I did. Linda, my assigned masseuse, has lots of practice in the art of massage. I was walking into Mollie Stone's grocery store on California Ave in Palo Alto and I saw the sign indicating a new Spa was next to the parking lot. After getting some groceries, I walked into Serenity Spa and liked what I saw. They were able to take me in without an appointment for an hour massage. I often enjoy having a fun conversation during my massage with witty and cheerful masseuses ... and Linda was witty as we did some initial banter about what it's like opening a brand new Spa with her friend, Mandy. The place was sparklingly clean with fresh sheets, pillows and towels, as well as new chairs in the entry area. I would recommend anyone that seeks a comfortable experience to try a visit here! One of the nice touches that I noticed was that the music speakers have a terrific sound that was much more soothing than I usually experience. This past Friday (Sept. 26, 2025) was my first time at this location. I just moved into the area for school and was looking for a good massage place to go to. I have chronic pain due to lymphedema and rheumatoid arthritis, so I utilize massages as part of my pain management. I went into the appointment with so much pain, but left feeling sooooo much better.
