walked around the shop and found everything pretty expensive besides the tea leaves. SO affordable and sold by the ounce!!! the display was aesthetic and clear, couldn't resist to buy 3 as they all smelled so unique and complex. spontaneously decided to get a berry topped cheesecake as we left. SO worth it ESPECIALLY considering how cheap it was for a huge slice. pretty popular place and we only found open outdoor seating. the cake was CREAMY, smooth, flavorful, not too sweet, the berry sauce so fresh and fruity, tanginess perfectly balancing with the creamy cake. felt like i teleported to berry flower land. don't miss out on this one.

I think I get why Coffee is, by far, the most popular hot beverage in the world. But a serious Dark Hot Chocolate, is what's gotten me since I stopped coffee almost 15 years ago. And I don't mean that watery (no offense) Dunkin or Starbucks mess. I was hyped when I bookmarked Verdigris Tea and Chocolate a couple of years ago located in chic Hudson, NY. I was engulfed by Verdigris' chocolate scent off the bat. Place is spacious with an enticing range of gourmet Teas, lots of teaware and tea accessories to turn every sip of your loose leaf tea you purchase here into a taste of poetry. And in a shop that's dominated by Tea and Chocolate, Verdigris threw in a few coffee drinks. I think I was more numb with the heavy Chocolate scent, I completely forgot to pick up some loose Tea. Hubs powerful 'Angelina' Hot Chocolate hit all the high notes and was far tastier than my flat 'Mexican'. Maybe customize next time? Don't get me wrong, the spiciness and cinnamon were there, I just wished it had the same 'Angelina' rich component in mine. Service was pleasant from the ladies in the back to my hazel-eye girl in the front. Just so you know, this stuff isn't child's play- it's some serious undertaking when you come here.

Came in for a sweet treat while doing doing some shopping in Hudson a few months ago. I got a cappuccino and I believe it was a banana cream pie and enjoyed both, especially the pie. It was a cute shop and had nice little tables inside. Perfect place to take a break during the day, especially when it was chilly outside. Would definitely return.

A quick little stop if you want to enjoy some chocolates, tea, smoothies and other baked goods - along with a nice sit down area and view of the town

    So cute inside!

Verdigris is such a lovely little shop with an incredible tea selection. I love their rooibos teas - especially bourbon and vanilla! They have great hot cocoa and specialty local goods too.

Super cute tea spot on Warren street! They have a wide variety of teas to order and purchase. The interior is warm and inviting. It is pricey but that's to be expected on Warren street. They also use paper straws as part of an environmentally conscious effort.

I purchased a "dairy free" cake and it was delicious. You would never have guessed it was dairy free. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful baked goods and (rich) hot chocolate. Only better hot chocolate I've had is from Shane's Confectionary in Philadelphia.

Incredibly bummed, especially seeing all the positive press around the quality and the sourcing…read morethey claim to approach business with, that quite a lot of the food being served was from SYSCO or another large similar restaurant supply vendor, ordered by the case and baked from frozen. Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.

The lighting was a little odd but it is a cute concept. It's a renovated bank building so lots high ceilings and marble floors. It's technically two businesses: a sit down restaurant with European fare and a cafe full of flaky pastries and all the bon bons you've ever wanted. We did a little of both. We ordered a cocktail and bergamot soda at the restaurant (both of which were quite refreshing!) along with a steak frites that we shared. The fries were more like wedges which I liked and it also came with roasted carrots. Then, for dessert we popped over to the cafe for the brown butter bourbon and rye chocolate chip cookie! What a delight! So many flavors that I love packed into a dense cookie. YUM! Overall, Banque is a nice stop for some elevated dishes and treats in Hudson. Cocktail and bergamot soda

I tried three items: the blueberry corn cookie, maple cruller, and the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. All were fantastic. The corn cookie was a novelty. It was crumbly and slightly gritty, as corn pastries tend to be. It wasn't too sweet. Although I'm glad I tried it, the cookie pales in comparison to the cruller, which was deliciously sweet, with crisp edges and a soft, custardy interior. The sandwich was great, as well. The eggs were fluffy, the bun soft, the bacon thick and crisp. It was good! If you're visiting Hudson, make this your first stop!

You can get the whole chicken, half or quarter. For me, quarter was more than enough. If you get a quarter chicken, you get two sides. If you get half a chicken, then you get three sides. I feel like it should be the opposite to offset the amount of food. But honestly it was perfect, still a big portion. For sides, they offer crispy fingerling potatoes, cole slaw, market salad and butter rice. Their Cole slaw is amazing with that poppyseed dressing. And salad had a variety of greens and crunchy toppings with a light dressing. Also! The plate comes with two sauces - spicy chili oil (mild) and yogurt dip. It was all SO FREAKING GOOD. I'm a dipper so bring on the sauce! The drink offering is also abundant. Lots of craft sodas, botanical drinks, coffees and a full bar in the back. Ghia hit the spot for me. It's not cheap but for this quality of food it's more than worth it. For the vibe..it's a confused vibe. You order at the counter and sit down with a number to wait for your food. The decor is eclectic which I thought was fun. But the music.. it went from country to weird edm dance music. I think Kittys can gain a lot from a curated playlist. Sitting there I felt curious and excited to be immersed more but it wasn't giving.

The perfect spring dish. Next was a Tuna crudo with ramp oil, watermelon radishes, fresh microgreens and toasted hazelnuts. Finally, their take on a Frisée aux Lardons, served with pickled figs. The lardons themselves were nicely crisped, and very satisfying. We had Negronis for cocktails, and a generous carafe of rose, served off the tap. All around one of the best meals I've had.
