Terrible customer service. I would avoid this store. I went in last Wednesday to pick up a phone that was ordered for me by my company. I was told we would have to order it through our B2B rep even though they had one in the store. We (my company) placed an order and it was to arrive on Friday. Friday came and no delivery. It showed up on Monday which did me no good since I flew out to head back home on Saturday. I requested it be sent next day air and was told they would. Here it is Wednesday and the phone still has not shipped. I was told that FedEx did not pick it up. I told them to call for a pick up or have it sent UPS next day air. They said "that's not how it works". They told me to contact my IT person and have them order a new one to a store near my home in FL. Absolutely terrible service. Victor the Assistant Manager does not return phone calls or reply to texts. How difficult is it to ship out a package?? Had it not been for the fact that our entire company is linked to Verizon (unfortunately), I would have gone to AT&T. The much better option for wireless service. read more

It's hard to understand why people would act the way they do when they're involved in customer service, but this store is a good example of bad management. I have been owed a refund from Verizon for almost two months, and after four separate visits to this store, I still don't have it. Instead, what I got was Liz the Manager and her incompetent co-worker unable to fix things, then passing the buck off to "someone else" at Verizon for not getting my refund. When I was on the phone with customer service and Liz at the same time, she literally got called out by the CS agent for trying to shift the blame away from her, then angrily hung up on us both when her anger got the best of her. When I was in the store earlier, Liz was more concerned with where her store placed in the local sales region listing for Verizonnl, as she showed off some reports to another co-worker. If you're buying something from this Arlington Heights store, they'll be really nice to you....but if you need help, prepare for nothing at all, long waits while nothing gets done, and a nasty attitude from the woman who runs the store. Wow, this Verizon store isn't trying to win over any customers, that's for sure! In the middle of switching over completely to a bundled package with Verizon I needed to use the restroom. They have one, but it's not available for use by the public. AT&T, right next door, has one that they let you use. We now have a bundled package with AT&T. Customer service go a long way. read more

I came to inquire about an iPhone 11. I was not sure if I was ready to upgrade. He informed me, he could only help one customer at a time. I felt very pressured as there were 4 other people waiting for help behind me for assistance. I wanted to know a side by side comparison between the iPhone 11 and 12. He seemed very frustrated. I should have walked away all together, but he ended up selling me the iPhone 12. I hope I am not sorry later. In addition, he did not show me how to turn the phone on or how to navigate the phone, as I am learning thru youtube how to work my phone. Bad experience!! Great Verizon it's located in the parking lot of a strip mall. It's a decent size store with tables and chairs in case you have a little wait. The store can get busy at times but they usually have the place well staffed so you won't be waiting too long. They have an efficient system where they check you in as soon as you come in so that you know where you are in line. They even send you a text to let you know when your next. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining everything step by step. I was getting a new phone and they even gave me money for my old phone which was awesome. Overall I had a great experience here and will be making this my primary Verizon store. read more

Walking in to upgrade to the iPhone X and the place was packed. But we were still greeted and placed on the waiting list. After a 20min wait we were given one on one service which was top notch. All our questions were answered and everything was fully explained. They made sure that all our data was either backed up to the cloud or to a google account. We decided to trade in our older iPhone and they had no problem with us keeping them for a day to make sure all the photos had been transferred over. So even though it was a bit of a wait we had great customer service. read more

The customer service is extremely rude every time I try to talk with them and they promise that the credit is given for charges that were NOT supposed to be on there to begin with and yet it does NOT happen. NO credit was ever given even though I had called them SEVERAL times ans each time they said it will be given. Yet it has not on separate occasions for separate credits that they overcharged! They admitted it was their fault yet don't give the credit. Ans nor did they change the administrative person even though both of us wanted it changed to that person! While the staff seems polite and helpful in person, they are very dishonest. When I brought a damaged phone to the store, the staff said a replacement phone would be provided at no cost under my device protection plan. But then Verizon added a $329 charge to the next bill for the replacement phone that this store promised was free. Since it's impossible to actually call the store, I wasted 4 hours on the phone trying to get an explanation of this unauthorized charge from Verizon customer service (not recommended!). Later I drove back to the store to see if I could get an answer in person, and the manager told me she would discuss my situation with another manager and promised they would call me back the following day to let me know what their resolution would be. They never called. That was a full week ago, and I still haven't heard anything from them. This experience makes me want to never do business with Verizon again. read more

I've had Verizon for years and have had very few problems. That is, until yesterday when my phone decided not to cooperate with me and I was without my precious text messaging. Yes, I was almost lost. After speaking on the phone with a tech support person for just under an hour, it was determined that my phone could only be fixed by physically taking it to a store. That, of course, made me more than a little unhappy because I work in a suburb where nothing is easy to get to without a car. Bah! Reluctantly, I let the tech support guy relay the details of my phone problem to someone at a location near my workplace, then took down the address and carefully plotted my trek there. To my pleasant surprise, as soon as I arrived at the store, I was greeted and whisked off to have my phone checked out. After several minutes, the anticipated fix was complete. However, my texts still didn't work. I was brought back to another in-store rep, Nick, who looked over my account and my phone, then determined that I needed a replacement. After several minutes, my new phone was ready to go. Being a little paranoid at this point, I tested the text messaging. Nothing. When something goes wrong, it really goes wrong! Nick promptly decided that it was a problem on Verizon's end, and got on the phone with tech support. While he was on hold (yes, even Verizon employees get put on hold!), he asked if I could leave my phone so he could resolve the problem without making me wait any longer. Even though I grew up before the wireless age, I wasn't sure how I would function without it. I felt naked and left the store with faith that I'd be reunited with my fully functioning phone before the end of the day. I'm happy to report that even though I was (mostly) off the grid for a few hours, I got through it because of the fantastic customer service at this location. I called before the end of my workday and Nick assured me it was working just fine and ready to be picked up whenever I could stop in. As promised, I picked it up without any hassles and everything was operating properly. One of Verizon's "Worry Free Guarantee" states, " If you ever have a problem, it becomes our problem the first time you call." Nick made sure of that. It seems rare that I say this anymore: what amazing customer service! I'll make a point of going back to this location the next time my phone is in peril. read more

I have been with Verizon since the days of the "brick" phone, so I have seen people, managers, products and locations come and go. My last review of Verizon (the newest location) on Rt. 83 was horrible and justifiably so-the guy said it was my phone and tried to sell me a new one. Yeah, I'll get back to you on that--you didn't even look at the phone or make an attempt to help. I was late for work , but knew that I would need my phone, so I stopped at this location. As soon as I approached the door I was greeted, and then another at the desk asked how he could help me, immediately. There were other people in the store as well so it wasn't that they had nothing to do. I explained my problem and he (I think his name was Adrian) checked for updates and then took my battery out. Wow customer service. Turns out that I did not need a new phone, though if they said that I did, I would believe them, but I only needed a battery. Went to this store to activate two new phones. I was greeted at the door and was told there was a 20 minute wait so I decided to stay since I was already there. After the 20 minutes was up I went to a sales associate to find out how much longer and I was told I was next. Another 10 minutes goes by and I'm still waiting. Waited another 20 minutes, a total of 50 minutes in that store and went up to the sales associate and told him I have been waiting almost an hour. He told me that my name was not in the system, so I told him this store is the worst I have ever experienced in customer service. So I go in to have my screen protector replaced as I bought it at this location 60 days ago. It's for my LG G6. When I bought the screen protector, they told me"if it ever brakes or cracks, bring it back and we'll replace it free. It has a lifetime warranty." It was 30 or 35 bucks but the phone was 780 so I opted for the UAG case and the screen protector. Fast forward- Today, I was greeted promptly. They asked why I was there. I told them my screen protector was cracked. Have a seat they said it'll be a few minutes. 1 hour 14 minutes later as I sat there looking dumb I guess, an associate asked me what he could help me with. I told him. Sorry, can't help you. That warranty is thru the manufacturer and you have to register some shit online to get a claim and even then they mail that shit to you. I was,lied to upon the initial sale. I went in to get a new Jetpack. Several employees there, but apparently only two could 'sell'. After several minutes, one of the employees said I could take a seat at a station -- where there were several products displayed -- upselling. The two 'sales' people seemed to be engaged in chitchat with their customers -- where did you go to school? what do you do for work? When you have customers waiting and it's in the middle of a pandemic -- get the damn transaction done and move on! Needless to say, I left. I think the stores are now useless. I ordered the pack online and picked it up at a different store at my convenience. Was in and out in two minutes. I've been with Verizon for 9 years and I almost always get great help from the hotline and the employees at their stores. And this was yet another store I had a very good experience at. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and took my name down so I was on a list to be helped; and it only took them a few minutes to help me. Mike and Rob were very informative, showed me a few new things on the phone I've been using and made the upgrade process super quick and easy (the quick part is a HUGE plus for me since I had my 14 month daughter with me). As I was waiting for my old phone's info to transfer to the new phone, I looked around the store and noticed several people being helped and everyone was friendly and patient. I hope the previous bad reviews don't stray people away from this store. read more

My wife went in to this Verizon store last Friday because our data went through the roof. Here is what happened. employee said "It's because your apps are updating. Wife called 611 and was on hold for 20 plus minutes before a live body. Still no solution. Went in to Verizon a 2nd time. No one else in the store and we told the employee our data is off and it's still going through the roof. he said "Call 611. I can't help you here" We call again and after 2 hours we found it was a mistake on verizon's end. I asked to talk to a customer service manager and was told one is not available. We are moving to a carrier that gives customer service. Lost 3 hours of our life this weekend. read more

This store has terrible customer service. The employees don't listen to your issues so they understand completely how to help. I went in for a physical SIM card for a new phone and line that was having issues getting activated. The employee deactivated my personal cell phone while in the store. I never discussed my phone line. It had nothing to do with the new phone/line. He never looked at me or listened completely. Nor apologized for his error. The female manager is unengaged too. They seem like they have both had a lobotomy. They don't follow company protocol too. The customer is suppose to open the new phone boxes so you know you have a new phone. They go in the back room and come out with everything opened. My Rand new phone was categorized as DOA. I had to get a replacement. It make me wonder what they are doing in that back room. I use to like this location. The staff were professional and helpful. Something has changed and they are having moral issues. They need to have corporate come in and retrain them. I've switched to another Verizon store in Schaumburg. They are very professional, helpful and happy. I would not recommend going to the Arlington Hts store. read more

I purchased the Samsung Galexy A50 smart phone upon recommendation. It has been one of the biggest pieces of junk. I am on my 4th replacement phone in under one year and it keeps shutting off and will not go on for several hours. I brought it to Verizon and no one could help me. I was passed around to a couple of people then told to go to the insurance company who never answered the phone. I tried to email them and didn't get a response. My phone finally turned back on after 16 hours of not having a phone and now it has shut off two more times. It is currently shut off now. I guess my only option is to buy a new phone and should buy Apple products from now on. read more

I went into the store in Arlington Heights on March 28, 2022 to purchase my Iphone. A nice salesman, Sam was my salesman. He told me about the in home internet for my home and told me that the first month is free, if you don't want it just bring it back. Sam assured me that I had a great deal on my package, he even called over a salesman to say what a good deal Sam set me up with. I was told my phone bill was going up $25.00. My son got involved and gave back the internet devise and sat with a salesman in Chicago to see what I received. I went into the store in Arlington Heights a few weeks later after my son had everything corrected Sam wasn't in I asked to talk with a manager. My bill went up substantially not near $25.00. I told him about the internet device and he said yes it's free if you keep it!!!!! Oh I wasn't told that. The manager said it's on your receipt. How many people go home and read that? The salesman in Chicago that my son worked with said if Sam would have looked up my data usage he would have seen I did customer service and it's not right n't need a package like that. Whatever happen to customer service and suggesting something that would make more sense-at the end it's my choice, I realize that. I said this to the manager and he said we are here to ask you if this is good with you. (It would have If I had ALL the information I could have made a better choice.) I'm also paying an extra $5 a month for a pro camera on my phone, that I don't need. The manager could not see the problem with this transaction. They also pushed me into a new tablet that I didnt need or want which was then returned the next day to get charged a $70.00 restocking fee which I was never told about. After a frustrating day spent at ATT where they could not figure out how to set up my new smart watch my husband and I decided to leave ATT after 15 years and go to verizon. We worked with David and wanted to get two s6 edge phones. The store only had one in Stock and while we closed out our account across the parking lot David drove to a nearby store to get the second phone for us so I wouldn't have to wait for shipping! Wow! They also stayed a little past close setting up our new phones and ordering the white smart watch I wanted. They even told me when I get the new watch to come by and they will set it up for me!
