Not all Verizon stores are created equal! Though there are locations closer to me, I have been a customer at the Roosevelt Road/Glen Ellyn Verizon location for ten years and counting simply because of the fantastic service they offer. Most recently, Vivek stayed with me two full hours after the posted closing time, to make sure this senior citizen would not have to spend a long and nervous night without a working phone. Do NOT give this Verizon your business. My mom is in her 60s, and doesn't know a ton about electronics. She called the store because she wanted to ask some questions and purchase an Apple Watch as a graduation gift for my brother. She was asking questions that might be considered "self explanatory" to some people, but they were valid to her. And when buying a $500 watch, it's important to make sure you know the details. The employee placed her on hold, but didn't put it on mute. He said to his associate, "this lady is a f***ing r*tarded b*tch. I'm never gonna make this sale." My mom heard this through the phone and was very taken aback. I asked my mom if she was being rude or anything that would justify this statement, and she was upset and said she was only asking questions. She obviously did not make the purchase from this location. But in my personal experiences here, they are extremely rigid and unhelpful, and make predatory sales and promises to you to take your money. Please consider going elsewhere! read more

Let's get the good out of the way first. They tend to be open later than other Verizon locations. Aside from that every experience I have had here since 2006 has been like pulling teeth. Luckily the owner doesn't man the front anymore, he is a real piece of work. He once told me I was a fool for wanting a particular style of flip phone, tried to up-sell me on a more expensive one and then claimed the one I wanted wasn't even in stock because it was just that bad. I eventually got my hands on one and it lasted me all through high school and college. Every experience I have had there was memorable for all the wrong reasons. It's almost comical how often things get screwed up. I will say though, I have not left the location angry in many, many years. It may take extra time and have more bumps in the road than strictly necessary but they will at least work with you until you are satisfied. A- for effort D+ for execution. read more

I tried to see a copy of my recent bill and was told the TCC Verizon office had a problem connecting to Verizon hqs. I called their 800 number and tried unsuccessfully to speak to a human being, that to was dead end. My iPhone broke and I've had a rough time dealing with apple. Verizon quickly replaced it, but then I decided to upgrade. Alexandra at the Glen Ellyn store was very helpful with sending back the broken and replacement phones. She quickly set up my new phone and pointed out ways for me to save some money. I walked in this afternoon on my lunch hour thinking "TCC" was a Verizon store (based on a Google search and the sign on the building). Little did I know they're a third party retailer. The lone male employee in view was already on the phone and helping a customer with what clearly was a lengthy request. I stood there for several minutes unhelped, while I heard a toilet flush several times in the back room, then a female voice muttering. Then more time passed... The employee ended up with a moment and walked to the back room to tell the female employee something (presumably that another customer - me - needed help?). He came out and said, "She'll be right with you." Said female employee came out from the back, overheard part of the ongoing conversation with the male employee and corrected him a few times, searched around behind the desk for a charger for her own personal phone, plugged it in, corrected the male employee some more... and THEN gave me the time of day. (Granted I was still standing at the desk for 10 minutes by then, directly in front of her, looking right at her, and she didn't so much as acknowledge my presence until right then.) "Have you been helped yet?" Me: "No... he said YOU'D be helping me." She, looking perplexed: "Oh... what can I help you with?" She then fished around a little bit more. I told her that I was there because I needed a phone replaced, but if she was too busy to help me, I'd take my business elsewhere (by that time I'd realized they're a Verizon broker, NOT a Verizon store..). She took enough time to dial the number to Asurion (insurance) for me and hand me the phone, but that was pretty much it. She didn't understand my question of "How long will it take to receive a replacement phone?" until I asked her twice: she first answered how long it would take for my claim to be submitted. I mean, I guess she didn't HAVE to dial the insurance number for me, so that's worth an extra star. So, in hindsight it seems I could have done all of this myself and saved myself the aggravation and toilet flushing (Maybe close the door to your back room?) At least I'm all the wiser for not having spent actual money there. read more

OMG I went to this store to set up a new line because I thought it was a Verizon store. I did not realized it was not until I got back to work and notice a charge of $79.99 for a PP membership . I did not know what this was as the sale person did not asked me if I wanted to become a member. This sale person did not mention anything about this charge. I did not know what this charge was until I called Verizon to confirm if this was their fee or not. Verizon was stunned and did not know what PP membership was neither so they called the sale person. The sale person explained to Verizon its a membership at their store for customers to get discounts on the products they sale. I was stunned and advised Verizon that the sale person did not mention anything to me regarding this PP membership. I feel that this is very deceitful and I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. read more

I was in the Verizon store this morning and the young lady behind the counter could not have been more helpful! Chabeli went out of her way to help me with my frozen phone!! Not only did she hold on the line to help me, but she assisted another customer at the same time. Multitasking we easy for her. Big shout out to her and it was also her birthday!! read more

Beware! Not a Verizon store. My son went there in August to pay the remaining $35 on his Verizon device. They took his $35 cash, and assured him that no more was owed on the device. We followed up later with Verizon billing: Per Verizon, in August $30 was applied to our monthly usage bill. $35 was still owed on the device, and the remaining $5? Missing. read more

Short review, terrible customer service. I came into the store and preordered the iPhone 6s. No issues there. Upon receiving a confirmation that the phone is in the store I show up and the store says they don't have it and it will be another day. I said that I have an email confirming it is here with a signature to verify. They said it will be another day. I said ok and decided to be patient. Well the next day comes around and I call to confirm before I just show up again and they say the phone is still not there. I told them I know it is there and that I again have a confirmation email from fedex showing it is delivered. The reply was that they were not sure when they will get to my phone. I asked will it be today. They said maybe tomorrow. This store sucks! Still waiting! And terrible customer service. What is the point of preordering something if you don't get it on time! Stay away and go to a real verizon retailer, not this third party joke! read more

Our experience at this Verizon location has been abysmal. My mother and I recently traded in our old iPhones for iPhone x's. My mother's phone mysteriously went missing and we now are being charged $400 by Verizon. The phone was left with the manager at this location and we have continuously tried to contact him over the issue. It has been going on for 7 MONTHS now. We have contacted the store manager Nicholas multiple times to either never receive a call back or never have the problem looked into/solved. I work in retail myself and I understand accidents happen, but in my experience one does everything in their power to right their wrong. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. read more

I went half an hour before the store closed (stupidly thinking it would be a quick process to buy a new phone), and the woman working was SO friendly and helpful. The whole process ended up taking 2 hours (due to trading in my old phone, transferring everything ect). I felt so guilty for making this poor woman stay over an hour past closing to help me, but never once did she make me feel as though I was putting her out. She answered all of my questions; was very personable. I witnessed her go above and beyond with other customers--offering to go to stores in other towns to get items that they wanted--so they wouldn't have to pay for shipping, ect. This was by far the best experience I've had with any retailer in general. To the woman who works at this Verizon from open to close on Mondays (I am ashamed to admit I don't remember her name), you're awesome!!! read more

This store is an "indirect store", not a corporate store. Unfortunately, they appear identical to the customer as the Verizon Wireless name and logo is displayed across the front of the store. If you want Veriozon, be sure to go to a corporate store where they know the Verizon policies and stick to them. At this TCC/Verizon store on Roosevelt I was given false contracts to sign which were in violation of Verizon's return policies. When I tried to return a wireless product within the 14d grace period I was told there was a $400 fee, despite Verizon's contract saying otherwise ($0 if returned within 14d, $175 if returned after 14d). On the Verizon website chat I was fortunately directed to the Corporate store in Danada where they looked at the paperwork I was given at this Roosevelt store and immediately told me it was completely wrong. They also said this TCC store manager was very uncooperative when they contacted him to clear the situation up. Danada corp. store then contacted the Area Manager of the TCC store instead. The TCC/Verizon store manager, Dave, said "we have nothing to do with Verizon" when I questioned their contract discrepencies. Danada store manager backed me all the way with this return, never asked for anything from me, and got this return done in 24hr. I was a total stranger to him and barely even a Verizon customer; I thank him profusely for his honestly and integrity. Unfortunately, the monthly service was not even cancelled properly by the store and I spent another 25min on the live chat tonight because of the invalid Early Termination Fee appearing again (only applies when the device is not returned within 14d; I returned it at day 12). There were additional charges which the chat rep could not explain. I do not know how much of these charges were from TCC or Verizon itself but it was all a very difficult and unfortunate experience and one I will not be repeating. Verizon corporate needs to guard it's brand more closely. read more

Without a doubt, the best experience I've ever had with a technology store. Honest, helpful, friendly and accountable. They even called the day after I picked up my phone just to see if I had any questions and to offer free help. read more
