I previously gave them a 5 star review sadly. But little did I know they were robbing me. They are an indirect Verizon retailer and will completely rob you! Do not go there. Go to a Verizon direct store. I can not believe all the things they have been charging me for after having spoken to Verizon through 611 on my phone. Even the Verizon representative was shocked and my account will be in the negative for over a year due to paybacks Verizon is giving me bc the Hinsdale store has overcharged me so badly. And do NOT trade in your phone with them! We traded in 4 phones with them and left the old phones with them and took the new ones and Verizon said they never received the old phones which can only mean that the Hinsdale store kept the old phones! Worthy of zero stars. Outwardly friendly individuals but the manager, Arnie, is a rip off merchant. He says one thing yet does another.Clearly they work on commission ( that's fine in itself, but it is clearly driving fraudulent behavior) and our bill all of a sudden included line items that we didn't discuss or agree to in the store! Took a 1.5 hour phone call with Verizon to understand why our bill had increased 50% month over month after we were assured that our bill would decrease. 6 months ago I wrote a positive review but now I am very unhappy. The manager Matt sold us a free iPhone trade in but they lost our phone initially, we had to waste several hours to get this resolved, we thought it was resolved and now they're charging us $800 and not responding to email. Do not go to this Verizon location!!!!! They don't always pick up the phone and don't have knowledgeable staff. For $800 I'd prefer to give them zero stars. read more

This store is the absolute best, so much so that I drive 15 miles to come to this Verizon versus the others in my area. Whether it's troubleshooting or looking to upgrade, this store takes the time to explain all of my options and help me anyway they can. I'm a former AT&T customer who switched to Verizon, trading in my old iPhone for a "free" new one. It's been 6 months and I'm still being charged. Orlando (the only employee) today told me he couldn't help me and to come back tomorrow when Jeremy the store manager was in. I said ok, can i have his number please, I work tomorrow and want to discuss. Orlando couldn't have been more rude. Never should've left AT&T, honestly Verizon's reception is no better in the Chicagoland area. Not worth the price!!! read more

Matt screwed up my phone plan and charged me for a plan I did not want, When confronted about this after seeing the details generated by the bill he told me "sorry call corporate." No sir, you made the mistake. You fix it. He did try to fix it and ended up adding another charge to my bill that still hasn't been refunded and wont answer my calls/emails when I try to get in touch with him. read more

Verizon online website allowed me to book a 10a appointment for device set up at this Hinsdale store. I arrive on time and rep tells me they don't accept appointments at this store. I originally gave store 5* but that was before I knew all details of my transaction. Changed to 3* because: 1) I was enrolled in a $50/month device protection plan even though I said I didn't want it. I was told that plan was free for first 30 days and I could cancel within 30 days. Verizon bill issued same day as phone purchase showed $50 charge effective day after phone purchase. I spent more than 1 hour trying to get the plan cancelled - why did I have to cancel a plan I never wanted? Don't know if this is the fault of Verizon corporate vs. the store, but I want other customers to be forewarned. 2) I was not given nor emailed my purchase invoice even though I asked for it while in the store. Clerk told me document was not available, but a different employee gave it to me a couple of days later. Sales clerk did a nice job with actual phone transfer, hence 3*. read more

My Husband and I went into the local Verizon store in Hinsdale today and had the most wonderful service ever. A gentleman by the name of Kendrick helped us. He Was so helpful and patient with us and our children. He was very personable , warm , knowledgeable and honest . such a joy !!! I will be referring all my business to Kendrick !!! read more

I ordered an Iphone through this store. The phone never came into when it was said to have come in. I proceeded to call in and visit the store seven times. Each time with them saying either it shows incoming and they will call me or they can talk to the inventory manager who was on vacation for what seemed like the entire month. Finally, I called Verizon customer service to resolve this issue. They agreed that something did not feel right about the whole situation and to avoid this location going forward. read more

So I've been hunting for the iPhone 7+ since it supposedly "dropped" but wasn't anywhere in stores. I called a few different locations before getting in touch with a woman at this location that told me if I showed up right at 10 am on any given morning, I might have better luck getting my hands on a phone. So this past Tuesday I did just that, even though I had a meeting at 10:30. I walked in and was immediately referred to Scott, was more than accommodating when I told him all I wanted was the iPhone 7+ and that I needed to be out in 20 minutes. He took care of everything super fast, wasn't pushy about extra products, and honored my time constraint. Couldn't be happier about my new phone and the excellent service at this Verizon location, thanks again! read more

Have been having issues with my phone and every other store or Verizon consultant has just sent me some where else and I've been going around in circles trying to get my phone issue resolved and then today I went into this Verizon location and Maryah helped me out and made sure I was happy when I left and solved all of my phone issues. I walked in and was greeted immediately. I had some issues with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and Michael was super helpful. He had his staff assist me since he was already helping out another customer. They were super knowledgeable and my issue was resolved within 20 min. I will definitely make this my go to location when it is time for me to upgrade. read more

What you need to learn about customer service: A lot. The store was not that busy, but the two employees were busy with customers. One couple was buying a new phone, and the other couple was arguing with the employee about their service plan. We waited 10 to 15 minutes for one of the employees to look up, acknowledge us, even to say, "Thanks for waiting - I'll be with you as soon as I can." Not once did these people look around the store to see the number of people that were coming in after we did. There wasn't a "take a number" system, which would have been helpful, as someone who entered the store after us actually caught the attention of one of the employees. The store hasn't been open for very long, and perhaps the staff is going through growing pains. Really disappointing. read more

New Verizon Store Location in Downtown Hinsdale 26 E 1st St. I was looking for a Verizon store near me, and when I googled searched the I found the new location. I was excited to have this store so close to home. I knew within minutes that I would definitely give my business to Michael, the manager there. We got new service,(after leaving our other carrie), and we purchased four new phones. Michael went above and beyond in his customer service. He stayed over an over an hour after getting off work to help us. He set our service, put our phones in new cases, we left the store without having to do anything. Colon was very helpful as well. In todays world, this kind of service is almost non-existent. We will definitely highly recommend this store, if your looking for exceptional customer service. They are highly knowledgeable and very professional. Thanks again Michael and Colin! We will see you around for all our Verizon needs. I bought my i phone at the Hinsdale location less than a year ago. I met Dan, the store manager and he was such a pleasure to work with. I referred him to a friend of mine and she had the same wonderful customer service!...........Today I stopped by on my way to work as I had a problem with my phone charging. He juggled two other customers and had me out there quickly. Again, what a wonderful customer service experience. I will refer him to everyone I know. read more

I was at a loss of words about the store. We have multiple vz wireless stores in this area that are mediocre, but this one, was not only the worst of them, it might have been one of the worst stores I have ever been in. There was no phone selection, the phone I was going to get activated was not even carried in the store! I had the stereotypical customer service that has been surfacing in the community, it was terrible and horrendous (yes, the redundancy is needed). I waited 20 minutes for someone to help me and the two employees that were present in the show room obviously had no idea how to work a sales business. Once I was able to realize that the two employees were talking to a third person in the back, it was time to leave. Not to mention I was only one of three people in the store. This business was so bad that I have no idea how it could even still be in business after this short time. Makes me wonder if it is a front business. read more
