This place isn't Verizon, it's an authorized dealer which means they make up policies to make extra money. They just tried to make me pay $300 for a "set up fee" to transfer old phone, and put on a phone case and screen protection. GTFO. You can buy a case and screen protection on Amazon for $10. Then tried to charge $100 to transfer old phone to the new one and proceeded to ask me if I knew how to do it on my own. Walked out to go to a real Verizon store. SHARKS! They move quickly and go on about saving you money. What they tell you through code language and a highlighter is what YOU WILL NOT GET REFUNDED should you change your mind and return the cell phone or cancel the service. It cost me over $200 to do this a day later. I never used the phone. Restocking fee is $50. Data transfer (free at Best Buy) another $50. Cancelation fee $50. And $60 for the screen saver. They work for Russell Wireless. They are all separate franchises. You end up on the phone with Verizon who also have to process thr cancelation before you are credited for another $190. Total ripoff. Avoid these guys. They are the equivalent of the Fitness Club sales folk from the 1980s. read more

Immediately was confronted by two young men telling me "we have a deal for you"! I explained I DID NOT WANT A NEW PHONE, only an Apple Watch. Was told that it would cost me $10.00 to get a new phone and apple watch. Was also told by NOEL " STORE MANAGER" to pick any phone case as that would also be free of charge, along with the screen protector. After an hour of waiting for them to complete my transaction that was going to cost me $10.00 I was told to pay 270.00. NEW PHONE TAXES, PHONE CASE/SCREEN PROTECTOR. I was COERCED/SCAMMED by these two men!!! on 10/9/24 went back to the Verizon Store North Beverly Plaza because my Apple Watch isn't working correctly. On 10/3/24 went to Verizon to get an Apple Watch, only to be COERCED/SCAMMED into buying a new phone (that I did not need) in order to get the Apple Watch. I was told I would be spending no more than $10.00 that day. Was told that I would be also getting screen protector/phone case for free. That was another lie!. Total bill for the day was 270.00. Also, my monthly bill has gone up from 123.00 per month to 220.00. On 10/9/24 today, went back to Verizon because my Apple Watch is not working correctly. The deceptive practices, outright lies and unauthorized charges that this store inflicts on customers are outrageous, immoral and probably illegal. In the course of what should have been a simple phone purchase, Jared lied that iPhone 12s will be harmed by standard lightning cables to upsell a $200 (!) 'package' of car / home cables, case etc After confirming that this information was incorrect with Apple, he doubled down on his statement even as I was looking at Apples answers in their FAQ section. He finally refunded some of the items but said he needed a managers authorization to refund the screen protector (unwanted and unasked for) even as he wore a badge saying 'Manager'. My guess is that every new iPhone 12 customer is being told this BS and of course they feel the need to buy the $200 'safe' cable package (which in fact are just higher voltage fast chargers - no more or less safe for the phone). He then added a $17 month insurance plan to the phone without ever discussing it - insurance was never discussed at all. When I called to complain he told me I could remove it on the Verizon app! This is illegal 'inertia marketing' he eventually took it off when he realized this was not going away. Then when the phone was purchased and started backing up automatically from the cloud back up (as every phone does regardless of where it is purchased / acquired) there was a $50 'data transfer' charge for doing literally nothing at all. The one star is the minimum and totally undeserved. This kind of deceptive upselling, lying to effect add on sales, unauthorized insurance charges and charges for zero service render this place the biggest rip off mess I've had the misfortune to deal with. read more

Total crooks. Went there to get wifi. Was told I could switch my Verizon land line that I was paying $75 for their wifi land line for $20 plus mobile hotspot for $20. Instead of paying $40 I got a bill for $120 and they never switched off my landline , which apparently is managed by separate company - Verizon vs verizon mobile. Total crooks. Bought a hot spot here and it was completely defective. I tried charging it for days it never turned on. I went back to the store and they reset it and told me to try again. So I take it home and charge again for 2 days and it still does not turn on. I got back to Verizon to return the item and they want to charge a $40 restocking fee, their reason is because they can't "sell it again". A broken device shouldn't have been sold to begin with, so they want to charge me for 2 weeks of a non-working device? Awful experience, very poor customer experience. Scammers! I'm a long time Verizon mobile customer and went in ready to upgrade my phone to the newest model not realizing this location wasn't an official Verizon store. I had already priced the phone/plan/upgrade/trade in value out online and knew what I should be paying. Suddenly I was being told things I knew to be untrue about the phone and being charged fees (hundreds of dollars worth!) that they couldn't/wouldn't explain. When I asked what the fees cover, I was told "Oh, everyone pays that" but not why it was necessary. So unbelievably frustrating! When they wrote up the bill, there were even more charges (insurance, accessories, etc) that I hadn't authorized! I took my old phone and walked out. My mom needed a new phone. So I went with her to go get one. While in the store, I asked if this was an actual Verizon store or an authorized retailer. The employee said it's an actual Verizon store. Shady move number one. Next, my mom was trading in her iPhone XS Max. The woman working said we would get $300 credit for the phone but said my mom had to use the $300 on accessories. As the phone was backing up, I told my mom that didn't make any sense. So my mom questioned the deal and finally, the employee said that we could just use that money towards the new phone instead. A young woman by the name of Elisa made it so easy to teach me what were my best options. Very professional with such a great personality. This store is NOT a corporate Verizon store and they are like dealing with shady car salesmen. They sold us a VIP package that included a case and some screen protectors and didn't give us a breakdown of all the costs. He kept saying they were included with purchase but never once said he was selling us this VIP package for $200. I thought this was included with the purchase of service for the iPhone. I would not recommend getting anything here. I will always look for a Verizon payment kiosk to make sure I'm at an actual Verizon store in the future. read more

Something is up with this store. I went in to get a phone for my son and my husband. I asked if this was a Verizon store and he said yes.....it is not it is a dealer for Verizon. Then traded my son's phone to get iPhone 11 and he said $25 for the trade on iPhone 6....when I looked it up on my phone it said upto $120 with Apple so he offered $60.....I thought maybe that is all I can get but no, I checked when I got home it should have been $120.... I stayed to do the business because the lines at Apple store are very long. I should have just waited. After he opened the new phone then he added $150 to my bill and I asked what that was and he said its the package that gives you the protection for the screen and the a case for the phone and the charge to move all the data from old phone to new one. I didn't ask for this he just assumed I would want it.....so again, I went ahead and did this. During my purchase people walked in and he did not finish up with me first he went ahead and took other clients. Then 10 days later I get an email saying thank you for your purchase of Verizon Protect.....so I'm like WHAT???? I never purchased this or was explained anything about this being added. I told him I wanted the phone no added insurance. This Verizon protect on multi phones after I looked it up is $50 a month. So, I proceed to call the store to explain and they try to go in the account and said sorry they got locked out you need to call back tomorrow. So, I guess I need to physically go into the store and try to resolve this. This store mis represents itself and tries to upsell you fo their own profit. I was served immediately by a manager (Terry), who was knowledgeable and spent all the time I needed explaining the product and how it differed from the other 11's.
