The first thing I saw when I logged onto my Verizon account was that I had a $600 rebate for a new iPhone. I went to upgrade my phone expecting the salesman to tell me same thing. I told him I wanted an upgrade and asked if I had any discounts. He disappeared for 10 minutes, came back and told me my only option was to pay full price for the phone over 36 months. I asked him if he was sure about that, I asked specifically if I had any rebates. He said he was sure and I walked out. I went to the store on BBB and Lyons the following morning, they mentioned my rebate right away and set me up with my new phone which was $600 over 36 months. Read the reviews. The Congress Verizon store is awful. I felt like I was being sold a used car. Stay away. This store is a joke. Update after owner response. Don't tell me your store has standards. I was almost blatantly ripped off by your sales person who led me to believe I didn't have a rebate. HE WALKED INTO THE BACK OF THE STORE FOR 10 MINUTES AND LIED TO ME. He gave me a quote with basic information on it. I felt like I was buying a used car. Ive been a customer of Verizon for 25 years. I've upgraded at various Verizon stores and this is the first time I've seen anything like this. Are you serious with your response? You'll look into this? You are either completely incompetent as a business owner or you don't care because tactics like this net your store extra money. I am updating my prior four star review from seven years ago to a solid five stars. I had an appointment this morning for a new device setup and they took me fifteen minutes early! Adelese quickly checked me in and I only waited about five minutes. Andre came to assist me, and he put my screen protector on for me. I am just not good with these things. He processed my payment for my car charger, screen protector & a few other things I needed. He was awesome. Very helpful & more importantly, very nice to work with. Adelese was amazing as well. She transferred my contacts, pictures, etc & she answered all of my questions. By the time I left the store I felt like I made a new friend. Adelese was very good at explaining some of the phones features to me & she was knowledgeable about my new phone which was a huge relief to me. I am technically challenged so I can use all the help I can get. The store is clean, most of the employees were wearing a mask and they all worked together as a team. I am very impressed with the excellent customer service I received this morning. I went from using an ancient S7 to the new S22 & I love it. I have been putting off my upgrade for a few years because my S7 was and still is working beautifully. A little slow but I loved that phone. This is a corporate store so you will be in good hands. Appointments are not mandatory anymore but I highly recommend making one. It's just easier, in my opinion anyway. I noticed the reviews aren't very good but I have only had positive experiences here. On 1/2 I bought 5 devices. I refused to add any additional services to my account that are even promotions because the in store promotions, even at OFFICIAL VERIZON STORES is not the same as advertised on national ad campaigns. After my purchase, services were added to my account against my express wishes and practices. It took my continued attempts at calling, tracking, complaining and following up for over 2 months to get my services corrected and costs refunded. I also had to be paid for that time. A communications company has an expectation to have their business offerings together and not have customers be required to put in their own skills and hours of taped conversations to get corrected service. read more

it is a 3RD party store. weeki just wants to make a sale. I went in stating that my phone drops calls and my voicemails come a day late and a bunch of other issues. He said I needed a new phone so I ended up paying all this money for a new phone to find Out it wasn't the phone. He never sent me a receipt. I had to keep calling to have one emailed to me. I've spent more than 10 hours on with Verizon. Verizon didn't want to acknowledge the issue was on their end. It was an issue with Verizon. They sent me to the Apple Store. The Apple store wrote up a receipt stating it wasn't in their end. Please See photo below. They said it was the carrier. When I told Verizon that this happened on my other phone, they should've acknowledged that it wasn't the phone, but no, they said it was Apple. Verizon Sent me a 200 dollar black box so this wouldn't happens. They did more than 3 diagnostics. I went to AT&T To change my carrier. That's when I found out that I was locked into a contract that I was not even told about. 15 years of being a Verizon customer and having Apple I did not get a warranty because I never needed one. Now I cannot return the phone and I'm locked in for a contract that I don't want. Do not go there. I had to call several days later because he still didn't send me the receipt and he also didn't tell me how I had to deactivate my old phone. Do not go there!!!!!!! Verizon even gave me a black box so this wouldn't happen every time. They did a diagnosis on it. The problem got calls and so much more. I learned my lesson. I will be reading reviews before I go anywhere. Isn't that a shame? That's what we have to do. shame on the store so if the manager or owner wants to make this right, you can write me back and tell me I can return my phone. I noticed the owner doesn't make good on any of the complaints. She just keeps saying trust and honesty are important. These clients should've been able to go back to the store and get fixed. Better than expected after reading reviews here. They lived up to the present promotion and took my nearly destroyed iPhone 12 and gave me a new iPhone 16. Also negotiated a better deal by bundling my phone with WiFi and signing up for you tube tv. With some included apps like Netflix and Max for $10. Much less than Netflix alone. Also great service. Anthony in Delray came to my apt and set everything up. Only bad is that I found I could not get you tube tv on my bedroom tv but had a Roku I was able use and add the app. read more

The manager, Kevin, and one of the representatives, Felix, we're rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this store to anyone. We had a reservation and we waited 30 minutes. We had waited 25 minutes from the start of our appointment, I asked the manager, Kevin, we had an appointment at 4 PM. Do you think we might be able to see your representative? He said, "I have no one to help you." When I asked how long do you think it might be before we see somebody? He did not say anything. We finally saw a representative, Felix. He said, how can I help you. I said, yes we need help. We've been waiting over 25 minutes. Our appointment was at 4 PM. And he told me your actual appointment is between four and 4:30 PM. And I showed him my email confirmation, and said it started at 4 PM. The email said nothing about the appointment starting between 3 and 4:30 PM. Felix replied, "well, I'm telling you now." First time I have encountered a store or restaurant that has really bad covid practices. We went to this store and they had just one customer inside. When an employee came to the door he just told us to wait. But as their phone displays were empty I needed to ask if they were even selling phones during covid 19. He repeated that I just told you to wait. Then he launched into 3 long explanations of why phones aren't on display. I said ok we understand. So then he started a 4th explanation. At which point we were looking at each other in disbelief. Then he closed the door. He came back later and said only one of us could come in. I walked inside this store and was holding a "3rd party" Verizon Retailer bag. Before I could even try and speak with a representative to assist me, some random employee spotted me and my "3rd party bag" and immediately stated....that this Verizon has no affiliation whatsoever with "3rd party Verizon's"! So....right off the bat.....without hearing my story or struggle....basically I was told I was out of luck....and to get out of this store.....and head back to my "cheap" 3rd party retailer and have them fix my problem! That's how I felt! To say I was stunned would be an understatement! Well....I wasn't leaving this store until I spoke with someone to hear me out. I did....I believe it could have been the store manager....of course, being so overwhelmed in the moment....I didn't take names. Whatever.....here's why this Verizon and Verizon overall, could care less about customers, customer loyalty and only cares about the bottom line....taking your money, money, money!!!! These employees don't care for customers....they're getting paid regardless! What's one more complaint going to mean? Absolutely nothing. A few months ago I visited a secluded national park in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. I dropped and shattered my phone. The camera on my phone was broken. I couldn't take photos anymore. What was I going to do? It was the start of my vacation and I couldn't take pictures....the basis for my entire trip! Take pictures! So...I lugged 75 miles away to Ely, Nevada...if anyone cares where Ely, Nevada is...(it sits along the Loneliest Road in America) - US Route 50 - yes Loneliest! This 3rd party Verizon Retailer couldn't fix my phone. My only option to have a camera for the remainder of my week-long trip was to not only buy a new phone here, but to switch carriers from AT&T to Verizon. I had no choice but to do this. In the moment, I paid full price to buy a brand new Iphone 10, switch to Verizon, with all the fees included...at regular standard prices. I was quite helpless and inundated by the whole ordeal. I walked out of the store, continued on and finished my trip and headed home. Randomly, I see a Verizon television commercial offering a BOGO - buy one, get one for free on Iphone purchases....along with another advertisement stating - switch carriers to Verizon and receive $300 off a new Iphone. Hmmm....well, why didn't I get any kind of deals like these? What the heck? So...I came here to this Verizon in Renaissance Commons to try and see what was going on? Could I be afforded anything? I only switched from AT&T to Verizon and bought a brand new Iphone 10 Max and got charged FULL PRICE!!! Yeah...that 3rd party Verizon dealer took full advantage of me and my circumstances. But here I am at this Verizon...I get told just by looking at my 3rd Party bag, they can't help me out. Yet...I speak with a manager, tell him my story....he starts fumbling around on the computer....crunches numbers and once again tells me "nope" there's nothing he could do. Since I arrived at this store longer than the "2 week trial period" from when I bought the phone, I was out of luck. Also, that $300 off a new phone was only for buying an Iphone 6. Why would anyone do that? This guy turned me down quickly and said there's nothing he could do. "Next customer". Ultimately, in the end....the purpose of my review is to state.....at the mercy of conniving hustlers...I switched from Verizon's primary competitor...AT&T, and bought a brand new Verizon Iphone 10 Max and received ZERO, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN RETURN. NO DEAL. NO COMPENSATION. NO REWARDS. NO DISCOUNT. NOTHING. My credit card was processed. My signature was set in stone. Wow, I'd say I was taken advantage of. This store is an absolute disgrace to Verizon as a company. First of all, my girlfriend went in because her SIM card wasn't working. Both the sales person and manager said that her phone is broken, there's no fixing to it and tried to pressure her into buying a new phone. There were both extremely rude, not helpful and a little racist. Needless to say, both manager and sales person couldn't pressure her into buying a new phone and never provided any additional solution except being rude. Both should be fired ASAP! Second, when she returned home with no solution, offended and frustrated , with her time wasted...since I also have Verizon, I simply swapped the SIM card and her phone miraculously started working....odd isn't it?? I traded in my 11 Pro on 4G for a 13 promax on 5G. The 4G LTE 11 Pro worked much better than this phone on the Verizon network. I had a 3 o'clock appointment and by 3:35 no one had assisted me. Meanwhile walk-ins were taken immediately by the store manager whose name I was told is Kevin. I questioned why he would take walk-ins instead of a customer who had an appointment and I was told it's their policy. I have been with Verizon for over 20 years and have 23 lines and was treated like garbage over someone that only wanted to buy a screen protector. It took over 20 minutes for that "screen protector" and they were still there when I walked out since I had another appointment. I got a new phone for my husband, he only uses it to call and occasionally texts. all was ok. I had to get a new one because the 12 pro lasted only a year, due to no fault of my own. $ 990 wasted. Apple Store was no help with the speaker issue and the brown tint I got when taking photos.No matter the settings they tried at Apple worked. declined a new phone. so, I got the new 14 max pro. At Verizon store, I gave the guy my apple ID and password, asked him to ensure everything is uploaded to the cloud from my old phone, etc. got the phone, went home, half of my apps never came back and half of my contacts were missing. this has never happened before! Went back the next day, sorry, another employee said! I always made sure, all my apps, contacts, texts, emails etc is saved on the cloud! I had a horrible time uploading 2FA Authenticator app because he never told me, it needs to be moved over with the code. He just wanted to make quickly $ 1600. I will never get another phone from this store! I will get a Samsung next or an old flip phone. Apple will no longer make money with me and neither will Verizon. read more

I recently purchased an IPhone X and have been unhappy with the signal strength I was receiving with my current provider, AT&T. I went over to the Verizon Store to see if it was possible to switch to Verizon. This meant determining not only if my current phone was unlocked (I had gone to an AT&T store earlier and they were unable to tell me) but, if so, transferring my service including porting my number. I just want to say that the customer service I received at Verizon was outstanding. One of the specialists, Michael, not only spent an hour with me getting everything set up properly (he first determined my phone was unlocked) but he ended up reducing my monthly bill by $20, including a discount I was eligible for through my employer I had no idea even existed. What a disappointment. Had an issue with my email on my Verizon phone. Went in to solve the problem. The ma I dealt with said we would need to delete one of my email accounts. Then the other would take over. So I let him. Low and behold it deleted both accounts and he couldn't get them back. Told me since they were bellsouth.net I should go to att. So I did. They told me it was Verizon s problem and to go back there. Ultimately I spent one and a half hours on the phone with bellsouth and they walked me thru resetting my password and recovering my email account. I just came out of this store and the service was terrible. After waiting for one hour to be helped, Arnet called customer service support due to his inability to help us. Once customer service was on the phone, he was so annoyed at the customer service person that he helped someone else. The customer service person and I waited for him to come back for a long time that I have to get the supervisor Kelvin. Then Kelvin tried to justify Kelvin's actions and argued with us. The customer service person on the phone apologized for their actions and agreed that they were out of line. One star because I couldn't give them anything less!! I did go back to this store even though in a previous review, I said I never would.... Anyway, I went today because I needed help because I could not figure out how to take my otter box case off. It is a two piece case. The check in man said all you have to do is this and he showed me very quickly. I asked him about the second piece and he said it just unclips , very easy. I asked if I could go inside and sit down and try it on my own. He said no and said if I wanted to wait for the next associate to help me, it would be an hour. All they want to do is get rid of you as quickly as possible. Help or answer a question is not what they want to do. It is all about selling!! If you are not buying, they want no part of you and make you feel very uncomfortable! After I bought my 12 pro and realized the Verizon store was not going to answer my questions, I went to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They were great!
