When in to ask a few questions regarding my bill and spoke to ANDRES, who was super helpful about breaking down what I had. He helped me realized that I was on an older plan and could benefit from their new Unlimited plans, which was more cost effective. He also recommended the new S10 as it had a better camera and more memory than my s8. He gave me instructions on how to transfer my info. When I got home, it literally took only 20 mins for everything to be done via his guide. Really can't say how happy I was to walk into this store. I wasn't able to catch names because when I got assisted it was so quick and seamless! It is a popular location so granted there is a wait time until you are matched with a representative. I wanted to switch my new iphone to get more storage and I was out in less than 10 mins when I finally got approached. Be nice and patient! The staff are on their feet all day, dealing with demanding customers. If you are calm and understanding, they will return these qualities. I was upfront and shared that I was considering leaving Verizon to go to TMobile due to costs. the tall guy with blonde hair and glasses just talked to me as if I was not wanted as a customer and as if I was a inconvenience. Like a previous review stated below, they treat you like a problem if you are not upgrading or starting new service.... Buyer beware, beware, beware. Yes, I like the equipment I've purchased through Verizon and the sales clerks seems extremely friendly. But more often than not, you'll find you've been screwed when you get home. I had to buy a phone in an emergency because mine broke and my business depends on it. At the store, I repeatedly told the sales clerk I wanted to avoid a new 2-year contract on the new phone, which I was FINALLY just about to be free from. I was stressed and running late for an appointment and my sales clerk basically conned me into getting a tablet and speaker, in addition to a new phone. I repeatedly said I didn't want a tablet and would probably never use. She kept saying how important it was to have one and that "the bundle price would be the same." She said that over and over. She rushed me through signing receipts, didn't give me time to read anything (plus, she could tell I was stressed and in a hurry to see a client) and it actually wasn't until I got home that I realized I was paying hundreds of extra dollars for the damn tablet. I phoned corporate and was told I had to go back to the store to return it. When I finally had a chance to go back to the store, I was told I was one day over the time period to return it--so I was stuck with it. And a few days after that, I realized that the sales clerk had locked me into a new 2-year contract with the purchase of the damn tablet! I'm still kicking myself. I really detest having to go to the Verizon stores because I feel I've been manipulated many times over the years. I just dread it. read more

Where has Customer service gone? Ordered a new cell phone for my sister. Was told by Verizon corporate that she could just bring her old and new phone to any Main Store and they would be happy to transfer all her data to the new phone. She went to this location. Associate told her she had to be on the account. She then called me. I spoke to the associate and ask to speak to the manager. The manager "Moe" got on the phone. Refused to give me his last name and refused to get corporate on the phone. I see now why this location only has a three star rating. read more

Verizon has a good product and unfortunately they know it; and have become extremely greedy. They used to have great customer service and would work with the customer to make sure they are satisfied, but now it's "here are your options", which usually means more $$. First they want to no longer honor the unlimited data if I upgrade my phone, but they also do not want to honor the company partner discount if I am forced to switch to the 2GB plan without switching to the Share Everything Plan. Which by the way would increase my bill by approximately $36 for far less data. They stated they will honor the business partner discount if I switch to the share everything plan and take the 2GB plan, but not give me the discount if I do not switch my plan...... How does that make sense other than the share everything plan works out to be more expensive. I have been a loyal customer from the days of PacTel Cellular, then Air Touch Cellular, which have turned into Verizon Wireless. Like I said, they have good coverage across the US, but in time they will learn what the cable companies did the hard way years ago that if you lose sight of customer satisfaction over just stricktly profit, you will eventually piss enough customers off that it will affect your profit. I went here last Sept. 19 at 5AM for the release of iPhone 6. Yes I already accepted the fact that most likely I will be able to get my new upgrade probably around noontime and I was totally right. I got a bunch of things during the transaction since they were giving huge DISCOUNTS on accessories and bluetooth speakers like the BOSE SOUNDLINk and IPAD w/ RETINA Display 32gig. JOSEPH have promised to give me a $$$ credit to my wireless account and $$ deduction every month from my bill for 1 year. I was Happy & Pleased to hear that. Today is September 26. I checked my account and they deducted $203.75 instead of $$$.$$ from my autopay last September 19. The $$ deduction did not reflect in my billing statement too. I spoke with *611 associate and she doesn't have any idea of what I was talking about since she didn't see any note in my account about those discounts. While I was doing my transaction on the 19th, Joseph was talking to his Supervisor regarding the deals. I called their store today and they wanted me to speak with JOSEPH instead of the Manager. Obviously the manager doesn't really wanted to get involve with problems like these. I feel Bad for Joseph since the management doesn't even want to back him up in challenging situations. I would just return all these merchandise and switch to a different network. I felt HARASSED! This Is totally unacceptable and disappointing. This verizon had horrible bedside manner, they seemed to want to rush you in and out without spending any more time with you than they had too. I have been a long time customer of Verizon because I really do like their services but this Burbank location had the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in a Verizon store. Welp, the trip to the store accomplished nothing. The employee told me it was a case of 'he said, she said'. Told me I needed the printed material that the employee hand wrote stuff on to prove my case. Wait, I could have just written stuff on paper and somehow that proves something? I lose this round. My phone charger had not been charging my phone and since my phone is still under a year of purchase I was given a new one, all within 10 minutes of checking in, the technician checked the charger and my phone, my nephew and I got to check out some of the other phones and send some anonymous text messages to my ex ( Just Kidding) well sorta! You would be surprise what some people text to other people as I glanced Thur text messages and hey free long distance calling! The store can do a much much better job in terms of a) customer service and b) clarity in explanation. Here are my reasons why (also, I provide a spoiler on different contract deals at the bottom if you want the lowdown): a) customer service: I went couple days before Christmas to upgrade my practically un-usable iPhone 5, and as expected, it was bustling with people. They told me I would have to wait and, that wasn't a problem. I did. What upset me to no end was the fact that the sales associate wasn't aware of the terms of my deal and had to rope in the manager to help, who also turned out to be unaware of the terms of my deal. All in all, the entire process took THREE hours. The point about the employees' lack of knowledge on the details of my deal relates to point b. b) clarity of explanation The sales associate (who I will not name out of courtesy) came to me and told me how I can upgrade my phone from an iPhone 5 to the latest version, the 6s. She told me that my current plan is x and with the upgrade I will be paying x more and attempted to write out the numbers. It was extremely confusing. She explained in such a way that even someone who is quick on mental math wouldn't understand because she skipped 3 steps in explaining each number. Then, she told me that I would be eligible for an iPad mini as well but would have to pay extra. This made no sense to me. I was only aware of the OG 2 year contract deals so I wasn't sure what I was paying for upfront and why my monthly charge would go up from my current deal. After all, I was still under a smartphone data contract so why would my monthly charge increase? Why am I getting an iPad mini? I was aware of another deal so I inquired about that, because she insisted on the iPad mini deal for an upfront cost of $350. I declined and told her I just wanted the iPhone upgrade. [..more chatters ensue.. she goes to the backroom and does her thing comes back out, forgets a few items, goes back in the background... this goes on for about 40 min.]. Then, her manager comes out with her and convinces me that the iPad deal is a better deal and writes out the numbers for me. I was convinced by his calculations because if I look at it long-term my monthly charge is only slightly more and I would have an iPad that I can sell on my own. [more chatters ensue... the sales associate and the manager go to the backroom... sales associate comes back out, forgets something again, goes back in.... can't seem to work her payment device goes back to the backroom... another hour]. At this point, I've waited for about 2 hours. The sales associate, then, comes to me and tells me that she can't process the iPad deal on her own and needs to talk to the general store manager. The general store manager was dealing with another customer so we wait for another 30 min. She, then, comes back to me and tells me she is unable to process the iPad deal because she clicked "decline" when I INITIALLY declined. So I was stuck with my initial deal that I came in for anyway. The whole process took 3 hours. I spoke to about 3 managers that evening and explained to them how inefficient, unprofessional, and ridiculous the whole process was. I came out with a new phone. Fine. But, when I thought about it, I still didn't know why I paid $180 up front and why my monthly charge will increase from my current plan, given that I was already paying for data. Upon looking at my statement, I figured out what no one at the store explained to me clearly. The new plan that they like to promote is a plan in which customers pay the standard data fee AND for the device as well over a span of 24 months (2 years). So if you decide to get an iPhone 6S 16g, you will be paying about $27 a month for 24 months until you end up paying $650 at the end of 2 years. All the while, you also pay a data fee of x amount (differs based on different contract). The old plan that I am more familiar with is one in which the customer pays the 2 year contract phone fee (e.g., $199 for iPhone 6S 16g) and pay x amount just for the data fee. The confusing part between the two plans is that the data fee is different for each contract, but my hunch is that the store makes more profit with the new plan. Anyway, that is what I realized. So, do you research, try to speak with someone who is both friendly and CLEAR in his or her explanations. It can get confusing. Hope this helps. read more

If i could give them negative stars..i would! I was a customer of Verizon for years.. the bill was costly but i stayed because aside from being locked into a contract ..they had the best reception.. well guess what ..not anymore.. they aren't the only game in town with good reception and thank God for it. I went in to simply get an additional month to month plan on an old phone.. not only did it take forever but themanager (who had been called over to help) spent the entire time on his phone.. needless to say, a day later i call in to check some information and i'm told I'M LOCKED OUT OF MY OWN ACCOUNT! They put the number under a COMPLETE STRANGERS ACCOUNT! To make it worse I'm told that i will have to go into the store because they need to verify i.D... so i go and after waiting for an hour (they never checked my I.D.)..I'm told it has been CANCELED. Mind you i got no notification whatsoever! Completely Incompetent Manager! Verizon should start focusing on their customer service and employee training if they want to stay in business because after what i experience i will never go back and i will warn others from doing so! read more

They sold me the Droid Eris which broke within less than 1 week after I purchased it. When I come back to have it replaced, the guy helping me spends the entire time talking to his co-worker next to him about some random party that happened the night before. Despite there only being 3 customers in the store waiting, I was told there would be an hour to an hour and a half wait! Are you frickin' kidding me? If they really were busy, which it didn't appear as if they were based on the number of people in the store, then they are horribly understaffed. They clearly don't have any respect for their customers' time. Why would you ever patronize a business that shows you so little consideration?!?! I wish I could say that I have a good experience there, but the people who run the Verizon operation seem to go out of their way to make it a miserable experience for their customers. Of course, we're not leaving Verizon as customers because who wants to go to sucky AT&T, but the attitude you get from the people who work in those stores is nothing short of "I really don't care or no we won't do that for you or sorry, we can't help you." I don't think it's the employees themselves but the people who REALLY make decisions for that operation truly suck. They should all be fired en masse so the company can start over and learn how to really achieve good customer service. read more

This is the worst verizon store I have ever been to. I arrived before they actually opened, as I waited for the employees get ready to open, one employee asked me what I needed. After I told him he said I need to make an appointment for 2 hours from that point. HOW DOES A COMPANY OFFER SUCH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE???? How could you not have walk-in service for people when you are there to answer peoples questions??? Came in and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. After an hour of waiting and seeing 2 people who showed up after me get helped my boyfriend asked what the hold up was. Turned out they never actually put us on the list of people waiting. On top of that there are so many employees just standing around using their phones. After reading the reviews I had to chime in. First of all, I feel that cellphone customers are the equivalent to airline passengers. They're either cooperative or huge douchebags. Neither cellphone sales reps or fight attendants don't get paid enough to deal with obnoxious tools all day long. Take a number, sit down, and shut up. The world doesn't revolve around you and your first world quality problem. Here's a tip for Verizon customers who lack people skills....use the website, call Verizon, or better yet....go find a better cellphone carrier. That is if you can find one! I've never had bad customer service in the 17 years I've been with Verizon....so the problem must be you. I have an iPhone and do my upgrades at the apple store because they will give you a recycling credit where Verizon does not....and Apple has great customer service! There's my 2 cents. read more

I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, nothing more, nothing less. I thought I'd be in and out in 20 minutes or less. Fast forward to an HOUR later... I was finally helped. I recommend getting to this store 20 minutes before they open (Saturdays) to ensure you're in and out quicker than I was. My turn came. I told the sales rep what I wanted to do and was then bombarded with about 15 overly priced cell phone cases and accessories that I knew I didn't want or need. After telling the guy "no thanks" he then proceeded to try to sell me on some other accessories and cases. I get that it's their job to do this but if you go in telling them exactly what you want (and don't want) they should respect that. Anyway, short story long, I got my phone and so far it's working just fine. 3 stars for up-selling attempts and long wait times. ** Update (8/17/2014): If you're looking for an inexpensive car charger, try getting one from CellPhoneShop.net. They had a deal going when I bought mine for a $2.99 car charger with free shipping. This will save you about $20. ** Update (12/4/2014): I can only say this for Apple products but with the newest OS (I believe it's iOS 8), these cheap car chargers do not work 100% of the time. read more

I'm so surprised at the number of negative reviews for this Verizon store. But i guess it really does depend on the employee that you happen to get. My sister and I went to the store today to talk to someone about a mistake that was made on the part of verizon. Awhile back, the camera on my sister's phone broke and under the year warranty, she was eligible for a free replacement. But for some reason, shady or otherwise, they used her upcoming upgrade to replace the phone and without her knowing extended her contract for another year. So later when she went in to upgrade her phone, they stated that her upgrade had already been used to replace her broken phone which was supposed to be covered under warranty and that she wouldn't be eligible again until June of 2013. That sounds really confusing. But basically, we got screwed over by an incompetent Verizon employee. And when we tried to get it fixed through another Verizon employee, he said there was nothing they could do about it. Then we come across Daniel Isaac, the redeemer of all horrible Verizon employees. He was able to reverse all of the previous mistakes made after talking on the phone with Verizon corporate for a good 20 minutes, and in the end my sister was able to upgrade her phone. He was SO HELPFUL, so friendly, and did everything he could to remedy our previous bad experience. When it's time for my upgrade, I'm coming to find Daniel Isaac. p.s. my sister really wanted to tip him but that would have been highly inappropriate. read more

I am really surprised with how many poor reviews I see. My experiences have all been positive. Most recent encounter was a no-hassle warranty replacement, where the phone came THE NEXT DAY, even though I was at the store at about 2:30 pm. I had previously taken this phone to the (non-corporate) Verizon store near my house on Ventura, and they tried to get me to pay $100+ to get my warranty honored and/or upgrade me to another phone. Went to the store with questions about data plan. Not wanting to switch plans, not wanting a product, just questions. Was promptly queued and was #1 in the queue for over an hour! As I looked around I saw multiple representatives huddled together, chatting, and laughing. When I tried asking the other hostess about my relatively simple question the reply was "I cannot answer that question". After waiting for an hour I left after watching the queue build up to 15+ customers and no movement by the staff. I feel like it was the Chinese restaurant episode of Sienfeld and that as soon as I left my name was called... The store seems equipped to be able handle the amount of customers they would get being in such a busy location but the staff seems to be abject to being productive. read more

This place was awful. All I wanted was a battery, which I called in ahead of time and had them hold it for me. Once I walked into the store, trying to flag someone down was nearly impossible. I raised a finger. I said, "Excuse me." I waved my arms. I stood around looking dumb. I cracked iPads over my knee. I don't know what else I needed to do to get anyone's attention! Even waiting in line was a bust. I got to the front of the line, and the muhfung cashier left his post! I couldn't believe that. After my third line (on the second line I was redirected to a different line) I finally got someone to help me. A simple transaction to buy a battery took thirty minutes with all their fancy advanced technology checkout procedures, being asked to type things into a tablet and all. Just give me a regular old register. I still had to walk across the store to get my receipt! Not sure if all Verizon stores are like this. Usually I just shop online, but I was having a battery emergency so I had to go in. I'll avoid that in the future if at all possible. read more

I walked in today and was greeted by a nice gentleman named Joseph L. He was a very nice guy and boy did I bombard him with questions, he answered every single one without skipping a beat. He gave me A+ service... granted I came in to buy a mobile hot spot.... based off my experience here and how great it was I want to switch my current phone carrier which starts with an A... to Verizon. This is what customer service should be like. A genuinely nice guy who cares about a customer and doesn't brush you off because you're curious. For this reason we will be switching over to Verizon once I get the family on the wagon and I'll definitely be recommending my friends. Verizon I always thought you guys were self centered and expensive but based off my experience I got today from Joseph I see it differently now, those are all just rumors others say and gets passed on ear by ear. read more

If you are planning on coming to this Verizon please note that parking is absolutely terrible. I spend about 30 minutes finding parking and it doesn't matter when I go. It's in the middle of busy places like Outback Steakhouse, etc. I wish they had marked parking. Maybe they do, but I have never seen it!! What I do like is the store is big and they have a lot of reps hanging out who can help you. Although, I went in and walked around for 20 minutes waiting for one to come up to me before I realized there's some virtual line you have to sign up for up front. I found it a bit odd there was no sign about that, and no one came up to me as I was clearly wondering who could help me. Hmm. They do seem knowledgeable though! There's always someone crying whenever I go to this store. They are fighting with the manager over phone issues. The lady who helped me with purchasing my Iphone was not entirely "in the know" and had to go ask several questions to her co-workers in the back of the store. I think it took like an hour to buy my phone which was a bit ridiculous. Overall I think they get a C-. I went becuase I had to get it over with. read more

Went here to TRY to get the iPhone 6+ on launch day. My review has nothing to do with the fact that I wasn't able to snag the device, but the entire process. Many of us had been there for hours and were already exhausted, but when we discovered that each of the four representatives (yes, only four on arguably the busiest day of the year) were attempting to upsell each guest and giving 20+ minute orientations and demos of other devices that were not the iPhone 6/6+, we were livid. At 10am (store opened at 8am) Only about 8 parties have been helped. There was clearly a large disconnect between the staff inside and outside the store because one minute we were told that they could not disclose their inventory and the next minute we were told that there were no iPhone 6+s available. I've done iPhone launches at VZW stores in the past and it was never this chaotic or inefficient. I am not upset that I did not get the device, simply at the lack of organization, communication and customer services. Do better next year. read more

I have never been a Verizon customer. I have always been an AT&T person since they were known as Cingular! I came in here with my mom and sister (both Verizon customers who have been trying to get me to convert) on a busy Saturday afternoon. My sister wanted to upgrade her old blackberry to the new iphone 4. The store was crowded with people, but within seconds of walking into the store, we were greeted with smiles and people ready to help. The whole transaction (phone purchase, transfer contacts, questions, etc.) took about 30 minutes with NO problems. All the service was done wit a smile! It's service that I have never experienced at the AT&T store in Burbank. Now that Verizon has the iphone4...I may just convert! read more
