I cannot get Dish, DirectTV, Hulu, TMobile, MLB.TV or any other carrier for the in-market baseball games. Its Spectrum Cable, or nothing. When every other provider offered better deals and promotions, I was just stuck because I love the Dodgers. But when Spectrum offered an alternate way to watch them, via an app, providing you were still a Spectrum Customer through Internet use or Mobile Phone, I went to investigate. And though the first customer service rep tried selling me on an expensive cable package, the manager, Nerses, stepped in and got me the Spectrum Dodger App on great promotional deal. When the season was over and I went to cancel, he went further and gave me good reason to come looking for him when the following baseball season started. So I kept in contact with him lightly during the offseason, and sure enough, when I went back the other day, (Because baseball season is starting again), he made good on his word and got me set up on a promotion for even cheaper than I paid last year, and with faster speeds! While my love/hate with Spectrum over the years, and their monopoly on the Dodgers, may continue, at least now I can attest than I am paying the same, or less, than any other provider could offer the Dodgers network to me--if they actually had the ability to do so. And I owe this to Nerses, who went above and beyond with his customer service. And as long as I continue to live in LA, or as long as he continues to work for Spectrum, then I'll go to him first over any other providers. His customer service definitely got me back in the love side of the Love/Hate relationship I've had with Spectrum over the past couple of decades. Thanks, Nerses.

They charge $150.00 for you to buy in to their group stating that the group is huge and they are able to get group rates for pricing with the service providers. I was also promised that they do all the negotiating for me so I wouldn't have to spend hours on the phone to get my billing correct. I fell for it and not only am I out the $150 buy in fee but the rates I was PROMISED are much higher than the rates I was promised. My bill is actually MORE EXPENSIVE now and my services are the same or worse than I had before AND I am locked in for 2 years. I was also promised no installation fees but I was billed for installation on one of my services. I try to get the billing corrected and am simply told that the rates have gone up and there is nothing they can do. HOWEVER, I was SOLD a better package at a lower rate. I see this problem not being resolved anytime soon so am warning anyone considering joining the group. DONT DO IT! You can get the same or better rates just going online and signing up yourself and you aren't out the $150 fee. This company is a "bait and switch" sales if I ever saw one. Don't fall for the hard sell promises because they don't come through.

Out of frustration, I was determined not to cheap out and dug into the options. Ubiquiti had a solid reputation for quality and reliability, so I went about finding someone who handled their products. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! Really great setup with excellent user interface and excellent camera resolution. I've already shared videos and stills with the neighborhood (as we are having coyote issues), and it was so quick and easy to do. A+++ experience all around! Thank you so much, David!

My uncle brought a big ass camcorder to my brother's baptism in 1991, and all of us were fascinated by the camera and had never seen one before. It's the only recording of my brothers and I as children and of my dad who has since passed away. When I started hearing about VHS digitizing services, I was super reluctant to mail the only copy to a stranger, especially after how many stories there are about these people losing photos or videos. I started seeing Z Stories advertise in my neighborhood Facebook groups and with tables at local Burbank events. I loved that they were local, I didn't have to ship my video far away, and the reviews were impeccable. I texted the owner, John, to find out more about their services and he seemed more than happy to take an order of just one tape. He gave me different options for submitting the tape (they even deliver and pick up locally!) and I ended up dropping the tape off at A Express Mail in Burbank, for Z Stories to pick up. When we had tried the tape on our VCR at home, the sound cut in and out and there was static and blue squares over a lot of the picture. I was worried that maybe I'd waited to long to digitize a 35-year-old tape before it deteriorated. John picked the tape up within an hour of me dropping it off and texted me with updates and questions (like whether we wanted to keep the football documentary that had been taped over!) and the finished product was ready within 24 hours! He met me at A Express the next day and seemed excited to show me the finished product on his laptop. I was ASTONISHED at how amazing the video looked. The quality looked even better than I remembered the original video looking in the 90s, and both the picture and sound were crisp and clear. I was completely blown away at how they were able to make the recording look so great. These are experienced professionals who obviously take pride in their work and care very much about helping people to preserve their irreplaceable memories. The total cost was only $17 because they provided a flash drive (if you provide your own, it's only $10.) We are going to use Z Stories to digitize all my in-laws' home movies, and I would wholeheartedly recommend John to anyone.

I found myself at Best Buy's Burbank location doing research on TVs for a newly-acquired investment property. I've generally been a fan of this brand over the years when the only other competitor was Circuit City, but now places such as online behemoth Amazon.com and national brands Costco, Target, and Walmart vied for the public's electronic entertainment money. This was my last place for research after I first checked online and then visited several brick-and-mortars. Whether I was exhausted, the selection seemed better, the service was helpful, and the prices were competitive (all of these were true), I ultimately landed here to fork over my money. From start to finish, was this the best buy I hoped for!? PURCHASE(S) Samsung 55" Class M8OH Series Mini LED 4K UHD Samsung Vision AI Smart Tizen TV 2026 ($599.99): A beautiful TV with nice black screen color, very good sound before the soundbar, and I loved Samsung products which I can also sync with my mobile phone. I only wished I bought the 65"; I mismeasured - oops! Rocketfish Tilting TV Wall Mount For Most 32"-90" TVs Black ($89.99): This was the least expensive standard option and seemed to be the right choice since the TV was going to be stationary. TV Basic Mounting 55" Or Smaller ($179.99): Honestly, I felt paying for this installation at about 30% of the TV cost was outrageous, but as I observed the two technicians, I don't think a friend and I could've done as good of a job or within the time it took them to do it - c'est la vie. Samsung B-Series HW-B650F 3.1 Ch DTS Virtual X Soundbar Black ($249.99): This provided a nice cinematic surround sound listening experience with a wireless subwoofer for more bass. I was skeptical about the extra expense, but I felt it has made a difference in sound quality. Insignia Rear/Bottom Soundbar Mount For Wall Mounted TVs Black ($24.99): A simple enough piece of hardware that cradled the soundbar underneath the TV for more volume. Soundbar Setup ($99.99): Might as well have a "professional" handle this, but it seemed easy enough when I watched it being installed. Home Delivery (COMP): Normally $99.99, I couldn't recall if it was waived as a holiday promotion, or because I spent a certain amount. Whatever the reason, I gladly accepted it! Best Buy Foundation Donation ($5.00): For the benefit of youths in underserved communities, I believed in supporting their educational and career goals. Electronic Waste Recycling Fee ($6.00): Who exactly got this money!? SERVICE I was approached by a male salesperson who calmly took the time to explain the differences between a few TVs I looked at, helped recommend the additional hardware (he sold me on the soundbar), and talked me through everything. On delivery/installation day, two friendly Geek Squad technicians arrived timely enough within the delivery window (the text updates were acting wonky), they courteously wore covers on their shoes as they rather easily and quickly unpackaged, installed, and tested everything, One offered a quick tutorial on the remotes of the TV and soundbar. They were done in about 45 minutes - thank you! PARKING (FREE) Located within the large outdoor Burbank Empire Center, there were plenty of spots shared among several other businesses - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A big-box high ceiling warehouse style layout with one level. There was plenty of merchandise throughout the sectioned floorplan and within many aisles while ample space was given for carts and customers. Promotional posters and such were throughout as you would imagine. Minimal natural lighting came through the front glass windows and doors while a ton of electric soul-sucking fluorescent ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were plenty of TVs (only for display purposes) while Top-40 music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL At the very least, Burbank's Best Buy location contained what I was looking for on this trip, so I was happy and would consider another visit if needed. The store itself was bustling with customers for holiday deals and an approachable sales staff. They basically carried all the major name brands in appliances and electronics, so do your research and find what you want. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $1,326.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip).
