Leaving behind my old NJ number was a big moment for me.. goodbye 908, hello 323. Upon entering the store I got a bit worried considering there were quite a few people buzzlng around. Luckily, a Verizon employee came right up to me and got me on the sales list right away.. I was number two. No big deal that they spelled my name Daniel- hey, it happens. I got to walk around the store looking at phones for about 10 minutes and then my boy name was called. The sales person who helped me, Melina, was wonderful. She sat through about 8 zillion questions (mostly dumb ones) and explained lots of different options without trying to push me into anything I didn't really want. Pretty awesome. I feel like Melina helped me sign up for the most appropriate amounts of phone time/texting/data/etc. Thank you!!! I will miss my Tamagotchi theme on my Blackberry.. but life will go on. So in conclusion I am a proud new owner of a Droid Eris and half of my family members (the insane ones) no longer can contact me. That leaves me with a 5 star feeling. read more

Although I've been a Verizon client since it was Airtouch, the quality of service has gone down tremendously over the years. First of all, it took 45 minutes to be seen. Although I was there to change my plan, I felt pressured to make purchases of things I didn't want or need. Even when we agreed to change the plan, the gentleman helping us still came out with bunch of things that he was expecting us to purchase. He acted understanding when I didn't purchase any of the unwanted items but he seemed to be irritated. Seems they work on commission which can be a pain for us customers. By the time I left this store, I had waisted 90 minutes of my life and was irritated. read more

Unlike the Simi Valley location that was not being very helpful and tried to sneak in unnecessary insurance at the time of purchase, Nicole the associate at this store was very helpful and explained everything in a clear and concise manner. Trashcan customer service! Came in just to purchase a phone case and had to wait 10 mins before any of the workers would acknowledge me to be "checked in". I had no issue using the kiosk just needed to ask a basic question. Several people standing around "helping" but again, it's 1 person checking in and he runs off every time a customer appears to be approaching him. 3 times I've been at this location with the exact same service and finally had to write a review. From the manager down it is horrible!!!!!!! I get some people are rude customers but treating people that way as soon as they walk through your door!? Saying "hi" or "welcome" and "someone will be with you shortly" is basic customer service. read more

Atrocious. I should have stayed with ATnT. I ordered a tablet as part of a promotion and six months later I still haven't received it. Every time I contact customer service, I am treated like a new customer. I have to describe everything that's happened all over again. I spend an hour resolving the issue, they say they'll ship it again. They issue me a ticket and nothing happens. For a communications company, they should be embarrassed by their inability to communicate with internally and externally. Breach of contract. read more

My experience was I came in and Assistant Manager got my name and my info and said she would call me shortly. Key word shortly. To them shortly is anything less than one hour. Thats just how long i waited before i was called. I was only called at around the 55 min mark. Get this there were only 2 people in front of me. WTF? right. yep, useless people. Its beyond me how corporate would have this location open for so long, without a major overhaul. Look at these yelp reviews. Most of them its 1 star. I actually complained to the assistant manager 5'3 hispanic chick that took my name, what was the hold up. She said there were only 3 sales reps around. I actually took a pic of her chilling with her girlfriend laughing and giggling the entire i was there. Well actually she stopped giggling and laughing once i asked why she came to work to hang out and chat with her buddy. Her response was well, she is not a vrn employee. LOL! She is getting paid to chat with her buddy. 20 mins later I complained to this other gentleman about how her assisntant manager is completely useless and comes to work to giggle. I told him i did not have an issue with people having a good time. No one wants to be tensed up and serious all the time, but why is she gossiping when there are customers waiting. Last time i checked thats why she has a job, because she is supposed to help her customers. Later i ended up finding out that this guy was actually the manager. So i asked him, what was his thoughts on the store's yelp reviews. He said that most of them were 1 star because of the waiting time. Well really sherlock? Why dont request or hire more employees, or get your assistant manager to help instead of to gossip. Coorperate should just come in and start firing everyone. Boom Boom you are fired, you are fired. Horrible service we order the new Apple Watch Series 4 and iPhone Xs-Max By mistake we got the black Apple Watch instead of the stainless steel that we originally wanted, came back to the store after receiving the watch in the mail to exchange it for the stainless steel and they claim because the box is open which It was not (There was a small tear on the plastic cover in the box which came like that ) they were going to charge us $50 for restocking. I wanted to exchange it for the right watch them pay for the upgrade. Call Verizon directly the best they can do is split the $50 restocking charge from the store. I Don't recommend using this store return the watch, Going to buy at the Apple store. I know it makes no difference this Businesses don't care about us because they have so much business so I give thanks to yelp for letting Us WARN other people before they do business with This store. Note: a Young lady by the name of Jessica was very nice to help us by printing a label for us to mail the watch back to wherever it came from. They charge me $50 and wouldn't even take the watch back I had to mail it myself.. BEWARE OF THIS STORE!!! I assume these guys are on commission and will do anything to add items to your account. On a recent visit... 1. The guy tried to tell me my new phone purchase came bundled with a few items (car charger, etc). Then he came out with a $150 bill for my "bundled items". I made him put everything back. 2. He tried to get me to take the extra equipment insurance. I declined it. 3. He told me if I upgraded my old portable wifi unit to the newer version, he would waive my new phone activation fee and there would be no additional charges for the new wifi unit since I'm on the Unlimited Plan. He was going to just swap out the old one to the new one. 4. I had to pay for the tax on my new phone purchase (which I expected) but he broke the charge up into two separate charges. Not sure why but I found that quite odd. Well...I just received my new bill and sure enough, he added the equipment insurance AND didn't waive my activation fee AND charged me an additional monthly fee for the new portable wifi unit (now I'm paying for two wifi units). This isn't the first time this has happened but it usually happens at Verizon 3rd party stores. The only reason I went to this corporate store was so that this stuff wouldn't happen. I expected more integrity from corporate sales guys but I was wrong. I ended up calling Verizon to complain and have all these charges reversed. The customer service rep alluded to this type of sales tactics is a known thing. He said to never go into these stores. Just call Verizon directly, place your order over the phone and they ship directly to you. I will NEVER go into a Verizon store (corporate or not) ever again. read more

The eSim card on my new Iphone 14 deactivated. The phone was purchased through Verizon and Verizon is my carrier. As a Verizon customer without cell service and unable to connect with customer service I went here for help. This place was pitifully unhelpful in assisting me with reactivating my phone. The manager, Jose, stood nearby doing nothing as he encouraged his sales rep to deliver unhelpful suggestions like "you should call customer service...". He did as little as humanly possible to rectify the situation. I drove to another location and they got me reactivated in no time. Avoid this place at all costs, they have neither the willingness or ability to perform basic functions of a corporate wireless carrier location. read more

If you can see someone in a reasonable amount of time, then this location is great. This store can get quite busy, but at the same time the waits feel shorter than at other locations. I just wish they were even shorter. At least it's a large location so there's plenty of roaming space. You never feel crammed in there. Update - I ended up going to the Apple Store and they wiped my old phone in three seconds from my new phone. They didn't even put me on the waiting list because it was such an easy and quick thing. No laptop hookup to my iCloud or anything necessary like they told me (but refused to do) at the Verizon store in Burbank. I asked the Apple guy if they don't know how to do this at Verizon and he said yeah, they do. Of course they do. They just don't want to bother with service because they get paid on commission with a low hourly wage. So if you need service and aren't buying anything they are desperate to get rid of you. We asked at two other Verizon stores and they both said they had heard bad stories about the Burbank store. In September 2023 Verizon reported a net income $4.76 Billion dollars. But they can't pay the store staff a living wage. So we have to deal with the anxiety and panic this causes in the staff. read more

I arrived at the store and there were 9 people ahead of me. I was told to come back two hours later to purchase a new phone. I came back earlier than 2 hours later and was told I would not receive assistance because it was after hours, even though other customers were still being helped and I had been told it was okay to leave the premises and come back 2 hours later. Wow, such a great experience. I've used Sprint personally for 14 years and I use T-Mobile for my business (I have multiple SIM cards for LTE capabilities on iPads). People have told me for a while now that Verizon's LTE was significantly faster so I finally went in to check it out. Joshua Berman was SO helpful. First off, their LTE was amazing and I'm starting the transition from T-Mobile now. But more so, his attitude and eagerness to have my business really made me feel important. I got a call from Matt later that day as promised to start building my business account and I couldn't be happier about my decision. My contract with Sprint is also coming up and I will coming back to this store to get a new phone and a new contract. I was expecting a headache and left feeling great. Thanks guys! read more

from the first day that I have purchase my iphone 14 plus from Verizon Empire, it went SOS mode, I was not able to use it for a week, then contacted 611 many times until i got my new phone to replace the one which was malfunctioning, meanwhile i tried to recover and it seems that the authorization code is being sent to another device in our family plan, where I do not have access to, so I went to Verizon and talked to manager named Jeorge and he said he cant do anything about it, YET the mistake comes from Verizon, and I was expecting them to solve this issue because I do not have access to make such a change by my own and its obviously Verizon's blunter. Since the manager couldn't or didn't want to help I've decided to give back the new phone and they charged me again for their fault 50 dollars in my account which im expecting refund, by the way I was not able to use my phone over a week which cause a huge damage to my business, so who is responsible??? read more

He lied and stated the Verizon stores do not perform that service any longer. I called Verizon and they verified they "do indeed happily transfer data to a new phone no problem." Verizon rep asked for the address of that store. I hope they get a black eye report. I don't want to hear one more effin' word about covid blah blah blah. I came in with my own newer WiFi hotspot and I already had an older one on my account. I wanted to transfer my service (old number) to this new device. He talked me into activating a new line, and told me to call and cancel my old line. He assured me that he would waive the new line activation fee if I did this. Well, I get my bill and sure enough, there is a new line activation fee of $30. So I called the "solutions specialist" and he assured me he would get it taken care of and that he would call me back. Not only did he never call me back, but the charge remained on my account. It was just his way to get a new line activated, which is what they are trying to do in order to make their sales look better. Total scam and I am out $30. I won't be coming back to this Verizon store. read more

Hello, I would first like to begin by congratulating this Verizon Burbank store for their excellent customer service. We immediately received a warm welcome as we entered the store. I had just added my older uncle and aunt to my cell phone account so I needed someone who would be able to explain the cell phone bill to them. We were fortunate to have been assigned to Helen as the representative to assist us. Well, I was very impressed with Helen as she was very knowledgeable and was easily able to explain the questions my uncle and aunt had regarding the phone bill. I'd like to add that Helen was extremely patient with my uncle and aunt.I especially appreciated Helen's explanation of the Insurance plan for our phones.Helen was very friendly and efficient.The whole time that Helen was assisting us, she carried a smile on her face. My family and I felt appreciated as Verizon customers.We will definitely be returning to this Burbank store.Verizon should consider themselves fortunate to have such an exemplary employee like Helen! read more

About a week later, I came back in and met Zac. He was INCREDIBLY helpful, respectful, and gave all information necessary for me to buy the phone I am using right now. Most Verizon stores I've been to have been okay. I have no idea what happened here. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt like I was in that scene from "Wall-E." Where humanity has turned into idiots and everyone can't look away from the screen stuck in front of their face. I wasn't greeted when I went in the store and someone cut ahead of me to get into the electronic line. I was told it'd be a 10 minute wait. Finally after about 20 minutes, a customer service rep named Antoine called my name. I informed him I was interested in a new purchase. He asked me to hold on even longer. I spent the next 15 or so minutes answering questions and typing responses into a tablet. Finally, when we were all done he said my account was on hold and that I'd be contacted in 2-3 days. I told him an order I placed the previous night was cancelled because the fraud department stopped it. They told me to go into a store. I then said I am obviously me, I have all the necessary identification and great credit. There's no reason this shouldn't go through. He said he could see that so he called the fraud department. She gave me a quick quiz which I passed. It turns out I was conflicting with another Verizon customer who had the same first and last name as me. So after she cleared me I had to go through the whole application again. Then there was a "Pre-cert" hold. He called customer service and neither them nor he had the clearance to do anything about it and they didn't know why it was showing up. I wasted well over an hour of my time and put 2 hard hits on my credit report for nothing. Antoine told me to call customer service and they could help me. I did that, they told me to call the store and get my credit app #. When I followed through with that an extremely rude employee told me that once they close the application they don't have the number anymore and hung up on me. I couldn't believe it. The Verizon Wireless store in Burbank is the result when mindless consumerism runs rampant and the employees themselves were straight from the movie "Idiocracy." read more

I would first like to say that even giving this store one star is generous, however, I don't really have a choice, since I don't have the option to give 0 stars on Yelp. I had been a Verizon customer for years, and each year with them caused more and more frustration. Each time I would have an issue with my phone, I would take it into the store, and I would be told that it was either time to upgrade my phone because it was "too old," or if it was an issue with the device, I would be told that the particular issue my phone had was not covered by insurance (insurance that we paid for monthly). Apparently, unless you drop your phone in water, don't expect insurance to cover it. Also, the employees only seem to have one objective, and that's to scam you by offering, "free promotions," that later turn up on your bill. I went into the store about a month ago to pay a bill and was told about a promotion for an item called Hum, the manager assured me that it was completely free and would not turn up on any future bills. When I received my bill the next month, it was $10 higher. The customer service representative on the phone said that it was likely only an "in store promotion," and that I should expect this $10 charge until the year 2021. Yesterday I went into the store to have my phone looked at because it had started acting up. The screen would sometimes turn black when I opened applications, and at times, if I would click something on my screen, another item would be opened instead. I had performed the updates and restarted my phone already and explained that to an extremely unhelpful store employee. He said that unless I could "replicate," this issue in front of him, they couldn't help me, and then he told me to bring my phone in when it happened, as if I don't have a job or other responsibilities in my life. Also, I had just finished paying my phone off a month before, so it was definitely not a coincidence that my phone randomly began acting up. This has happed before with Verizon, the minute my phone was paid off, it would start acting up, so we'd be forced to upgrade. Verizon may claim to be the company with the best network, but they are also the company with the worst customer service. They are unhelpful both in store and on the phone. Yesterday I made the decision to leave, and after shopping around with different phone carriers, I switched over, so I am currently no longer with Verizon. Avoid them at all costs.
