I just had the BEST experience at this Verizon Store! I have always had a good experience at this Verizon Store but yesterday was EXCEPTIONAL! I went in to get some help with my phone. I was greeted by Robert who was so friendly, kind, knowledgeable and so willing to help! What a lifesaver for someone like me that is NOT tech savy! I wanted to be sure to keep a very sentimental voicemail from my beloved Mom who passed 5 years ago when transferring data to my new phone. He was unbelievably understanding and truly went above and beyond and I am so so grateful! When another customer walked in, he made sure to greet her and to let her know he would be with her shortly. When Robert stepped away briefly to answer another customers question, Tyler stepped right in kept the excellent customer service going! He was so friendly and willing to help - I cannot thank you two enough! It is people like Robert & Tyler that make this World a better place - thank you both - I am so appreciative! read more

I went into the store last night with my sister looking to purchase a long overdue upgrade for her phone. The upgrade was needed immediately as the old phone was no longer taking any charge and she needs the device for work. We explained that to the lone man working at this location (picture a cartoon car salesman with no name tag). He informed us that if we wanted to get a new phone right then that same day that we were required to purchase a "bundle" that included a phone case, screen protector and charger. We said fine because he indicated it was the only option to get a new phone ASAP and we were in a vulnerable position of needing it that night. The "bundle" was a cheap package of products that we found selling for $35 at Walmart but we were charged $150 for it. The salesman showcased very little understanding of the transaction and kept throwing out new and varying numbers every time I asked clarifying questions. He then, without asking, began to unbox the "bundle" and dropped half the contents on the floor before installing it on the new phone. Little did we know this service (which was not offered before he began nor explained to us until we were given a receipt) would cost us another $50. $50 to put on a cheap phone case and screen protector. I walked out of the store feeling violated. I walked out of the store a victim of a scam worthy of $200. I have already opened a case with Verizon corporate. They confirmed with me that no policy of requiring a bundle purchase exists. I will not be doing business with this store location again. read more

My daughter went to the Carlsbad store to either get help in her defective phone or get a new one. The salesperson "Emili" was NOT helpful at all. Her only solution was to add another line. I guess Emili is only considering her commission, not the customer. If I could give zero stars, I would. I would NOT recommend this store or Verizon to anyone. This location is NOT a corporate store! They sold us a 5g internet package without checking to see if 5g was even available in our location. The story is too long and complicated but bottom line is Verizon had to cut off our internet service without any notification after realizing we were connected to a tower supposedly not in our service area. After hours (literally hours) on the phone with customer service they eventually confessed up to the sleazy sales practices! Verizon lost a good 20+ year customer. read more

This is for the store in Carlsbad on El Camino Real. What was once a customer service store is now a swamp of sales people. The half hearted attempt to fix technical/software issues has been replaced with platitudes and a weak justification to upgrade to a new phone and bundled service. I have been with Verizon for 25 years and admittedly frustrated plenty of times before, but this trip had me about 2 minutes from dropping them for well, pretty much anybody. I will spare everyone the details suffice it to say, the problem I walked in with was still a problem when I left with the recommendation to call Verizon's customer service. read more

My phone was stolen over the weekend in Newport and the Verizon up in that area was not helpful at all but when I got home to Carlsbad finally and went to this location Kerry helped me through several calls to get my upgrade validated so I could get a phone back and 2 hrs later was connected to the world again ! (1-2 hrs is average wait time for any Verizon store really if there's 1-2 people ahead of u so make sure to block some time in the day to go but it was very worth it). read more

Shady Sales Rep got us to sign up for two back up lines. We were told that it would be at no extra charge and it would save us $20 a month on the bill. We haven't utilized those numbers at all. 25 year customer & has WORST experience. DO NOT TRUST ROBERT P OR VERIZON. He convinced me to 'upgrade' my phone (a promotion that covers cost of new phone.) Before I left, I double checked whether I needed to trade old phone in for promotion, but he said I didn't need to and I would still get promotion. Weeks later I bet my bill and FULL COST of new phone is on my bill. ($1200) I find out I HAD TO turn in my phone for promotion and also UPGRADE my plan; which he told me NEITHER. I was now stuck with a huge bill for new phone I didn't want and forced to stay with verizon for 36 more months. I feel sick to my stomach and completely screwed over, and there is nothing I CAN DO ABOUT IT. SO PLESSE DONT CHOOSE VERIZON THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL. read more

James was so extremely helpful!! I went in on Saturday afternoon to see why my phone was having a issue identifying something. He answered all of my questions and was very helpful from start to finish. I ended up upgrading and getting a new iPhone and expressed that we have had issues with getting new phones and making sure everything transfers. This review is for the Victoria Store in Pacific Beach. I "tried" to buy a new IPhone 14 Pro from this store this week but finally gave up. I first set up an appointment online for Monday Sept 4th. when I showed up for my appointment the clerk had no idea I had an appointment. After some discussion I ended up ordering an IPhone 14 in black. they did not have one in their inventory so they told me they would order it and call me when it came in so I could pick it up. since I am an existing Verizon customer, am currently on auto pay and was trading in my own phone I expected the transaction to be simple. I was never notified that my phone was delivered. I did check the shipping tracking and discovered that the phone had indeed arrived on Wednesday morning. I tried to call the store but THEY DO NOT ANSWER the phone locally. Customer service is at a remote location. Customer service was able to call the store and after putting me on hold told me someone from the store would call me in 10 minutes. I never received that call. I called customer service back after two hours and asked for them to ask the store to call me back. I know that sounds crazy but there is no way to call the store directly. No one ever called me back. this morning I drove to the store to check on my phone. The clerk said she was new and did not know if my phone had arrived. Apparently there is no system in place to log in phones that have been delivered. She tried to tell me it's possible my phone had not arrived yet, but I told her that the tracking indicated that Lucy the store manager had signed for the phone the day before. She said she could check the safe but it has a time lock and I would need to wait 10 minutes. That was it for me. I told her to cancel my order. read more

Omar wasn't helpful at all. My phone screen was cracked and I wasn't able to get into it. I was also eligible for an upgrade and wanted a new iPhone. I walked over to seek help not knowing what to do or what steps to take. While I was trying to get help, Omar was doodling his signature and unable to answer any questions. He directed me down the street to get my screen fixed. When I drove over I was told he should have filed an insurance claim prior to me coming. I then went to a new Verizon store (in Encinitas) and they were able to take care of all my needs and I was out in less than 20 min with a new iphone13pro. I stoped by again the next morning asking if Omar could help me turn off my (old) phone and set it up so I can ship it to Verizon. I interrupted a personal call he was on and he directed me to go to the apple store. I went home and Verizon online was able to help me. Both times Omar was unprofessional and completely useless. My Blackberry died. Stopped in at this local wireless store to get some kind of new Verizon product. Note to self: Do not EVER go to an independent dealer when you have to buy a new phone. There are so many extra steps because they are not a direct dealer. After spending an hour and a half in the store, finally left and went to the Verizon store in Encinitas. Caveat: 5 stars actually for Warren and the people who work there. They are very helpful and extremely knowledgable. But being an independent dealer they are hampered by the rules. Go there only if you need something fixed, not if you need to buy a Verizon product. read more

I wish I could register a negative star. We inquired about changing service to Verizon and we were given a price for the phones and service plan. During our change over to Verizon the monthly bill increased by nearly $100/m from what we were told. We canceled the transfer immediately only to be told that our phones were already switched and had to wait 24 hours to switch back service to our carrier. This told almost 2 hours of our time. Now 2 weeks later I got a bill from Verizon. We never agreed to pay a bill. read more

This store lied to us! You are better off going to a version store. My boyfriend and I went in 3 weeks ago to do a switcher credit. I have 3 lines with Verizon, I updated my son to an iPhone 7 and added 2 more lines to the account from AT&T. We met with James and he was and said that verison would take the other carrier phones. We showed him some minor damage to one of the devices and he said it would not be a problem to turn it in for a full refund. HE LIED. Verizon would not take them back and AT&T charged my account $1,000! I went back to see if they can help me and have been waiting for the DM Darrell to call me back. He emailed me 2 weeks ago saying he is doing everything he can.... I have emailed and called with zero response. I went into the store yesterday to follow up and he has gone dark. read more

This is not Verizon but "A Wireless", kind of like "Reel Cheese". It might as well be called "Commission premium retailer". Don't be confused: they don't care about your long relationship with Verizon or customer service, they get commission and that's the end of the story. Long story short: Nick pulled two separate tricks to rip me off over a black friday phone upgrade with over $100 of unwanted service: 1) While the upgrade process was underway Nick H. kept reminding me "go get your phone case". I asked if it was free and he said "yea its part of the black friday deal". I pick one I like and before I know it he's putting a glass cover on my phone and gives me a new case, cool, sure sounded free since it was "my phone case" already on Black Friday. After this there are dozens of pages of agreements to flip through and sign off and nothing is lined out like an itemized receipt until after you swipe your card. As I'm leaving the store I see it was just 15% off of these heavily marked up items, costing me $75 for things I could get elsewhere for $20. Nick used vague and deceitful terminology to get me to purchase a phone case for seemingly free when I had no intention of getting one there that day and threw a glass cover on it before I knew what was going on. 2) 5 Months later I look at my verizon bill and there is an $11 monthly insurance fee. I talk to the real Verizon and they say it was added from "A wireless" when I upgraded in November. I look at my receipt from A Wireless and while it shows me I got ripped off on a stupid phone case and screen cover, nothing mentions phone insurance. I told them this was blatantly fraudulent and I had no idea this was part of the deal, they FULLY AGREED, and refunded the entirety of the related monthly fees. Careful when you go here. Do not go there for advice or fair service, this is not verizon, just a commission shop. I should have just waited for my new phone to ship from the real Verizon, it would have saved me less time and $$ in the long run. read more

I went to the store to sign up for the new 5G home Internet. I went in and they said they could handle that for me. I told them exactly what I wanted that I wanted 5G home plus and then I wanted my cellular plan upgraded in order to qualify for a discount on the home Internet. They gave me a router and assured me they had enrolled me in the services I had asked for. They wouldn't however give me a receipt that spelled it all out and told me to check my account on line the next day. I later discovered that they had signed me up for Verizon LTE home not 5g and that the cellular plan they changed me to did not qualify me for a discount. I have called Verizon three times over the past month and spent over two hours on the phone only to find that I am now locked in to the LTE home even though I am eligible for the 5G home plus. It will take months to straighten this out. These guys do not have any idea what they're doing or they do things that they know are wrong only that benefit them. Horrible service. Go to a corporate store. read more

John V. was beyond helpful at finding me a good affordable monthly plan and he helped me fix a really bad plan someone else @ Verizon's 611 # had duped me into. I'll even get a refund for all the misleading inconveniences they put me through on the phone. John also put my newly purchased glass screen protector on my phone. I came to this store to trade in my iPhone as part of the Verizon trade in offer that Verizon was offering. They didn't have the phone in stock, so I ordered it and had to wait about two weeks. No problem. Problem is the guy who sold me the phone told me that I would have to pay a $200 hold fee that day, but since the cost of the phone was $300 and I was getting a $200 trade-in, I would get $100 back when I came to pick up my phone when I came in. Well that was a lie. I went to pick up my phone and was told not only that I would have to pay an additional $100 plus tax, but that I had until December 1 to send in my old phone to Verizon. Also a lie. I had 7 days, which has passed, and I won't receive a Visa gift card as I was told. Lie #3. I get a Verizon gift card. Who would need $200 worth of Verizon accessories when you just got a new phone? Just stay away from this place. I'm going to file a formal complaint with Verizon. I hope this place get shut down. read more

I dreaded going to Verizon.... all of my experiences have been dragged out over lengthy period of times that just felt like overdrawn sales pitches. Not this time, not at the Carlsbad Verizon Store. I went in seeking assistance with what had turned out to be an unpleasant morning and Ryan was friendly and happy to help. He had incredible customer service that made me feel comfortable. He had a vast knowledge of the different options and pricing yet was not pushy at all. I proceeded to ask tons of questions, inquiring about the most affordable way for me to proceed. I recently went into this Verizon store to request help with an iPad that was purchased elsewhere. Nikolay, the representative who assisted me was helpful in every way. He helped me get my new pad set up and transferred all my apps from my old pad onto the new one. He reviewed my monthly plan with me never trying to sell me anything. I found Nikolay knowledgeable, easy to understand, and friendly. A great place to go for a senior to go for help. read more
