This place is terrible. My family has purchased multiple phones from them in the last year. When I went in recently with a warranty issue on my Google phone, they told me I had to either call customer service or Google directly to deal with it. No concern for getting me back up and running. Even if they couldn't take care of it themselves, the bare minimum would have been to make the calls for me while I waited in the store. To make matters worse, I went back to purchase a replacement phone so I wouldn't be without one for ten days while I returned mine to Google, and they wouldn't sell me one. First they said they didn't have any Google Pixel phones in stock and then said I could purchase a prepaid phone with a plan for a month. Tthey said they were 'not going to let me burn through their inventory' expecting that I was going to return the phone once my warranty replacement arrived. It seemed to me that if they have a 14 day return policy, they have no idea what my intentions are, and refusing to sell me a phone is just bad customer service. I spoke with their manager, Rani, and he was of no help (apparently the associates I had been talking to were conferring with him to respond to my inquiries). I called Verizon customer service to complain and they were very apologetic and knocked $50 off my bill and said they would make sure my complaint was run up the chain. read more

Worst experience, that has still YET to be resolved. I ported over from T-Mobile in April and I have regretted the change ever since. The salesman told us we would receive a $650 port transfer credit upon returning my phone. Well, I have received less than half of that. I went in with my final T-mobile bill. The salesman inputted all the information just to ensure that it was done correctly, however, after completed, it was the wrong information he had sent in. Not only were we not notified of this, I had to call Verizon myself to find out. Needless to say, I have been in contact with Verizon nearly every week to see that I receive the other part of my credit and still a waiting process. It's been a little over 3 months now and this is completely unacceptable. Salesman were unhelpful. read more

I recently had my cell phone stolen from my purse. I was beyond upset! Since my phone coverage is with Verizon. I went to the Verizon store on PCH in Corona Del Mar where the manager, Ronni was a huge help in getting me back on track with my phone. Within one hour, I had a new phone, data transferred to my new phone and it was a seamless transaction. Previously, I have had poor experiences with this store but they are under new management and Ronni, the new manager is extremely competent and conscientious. So grateful that this incident, although terrible, was resolved so efficiently and professionally...... thanks to Ronni!! read more

HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. They are liars and will tell you anything just to get their commission. They act really nice to your face, and on the back end are increasing your bill without your knowledge, and including ad-ons that increase your monthly bill without your approval. When I went back in to ask them about this, they said it can't be undone because they are not a corporate store. And "I signed the receipt, so what's done is done". I bought some phones for my family and had them stolen out of my car when they were still in their shopping bag. I had insurance on each of them, and it clearly showed on the receipt. When I went into the CdM store to file a claim, they said the insurance had been cancelled!! I never cancelled it. They said that someone had cancelled and the store, unfortunately, wasn't able to file a claim for me! They were unable to give me the name of who cancelled it, when it was cancelled, a signature, nothing--telling me they were sorry, but I was responsible for the loss! As I have read the constant one star reviews on the CdM store, upper management must know of this store's reputation. Are they supporting this behavior? Beware! Fraud alert! I went in to inquire about a new plan. I know have an account for 6 devices I did not want or have in my possession. Spoke with Rany the manager and was assured he would take care of it and make it right. Being billed by Verizon for devices I do not have and have now filed a fraud report to try and close the account. Very unethical business practices here. I went in looking to upgrade my iPhone5 to a Samsung 6S and was very pleased with the service I received from Tommy. He answered all my questions, demonstrated the new phone and I was on my way in no time. Three weeks later I went to the store looking for a WiFi hotspot device, and Kash quickly took care of me, was very helpful and courteous, and upgraded my usage on the account with no hassles. This store has been the worst for years. The owner/management/staff has changed a couple of times, but the culture never changes, or if it did, it only got worse. All liars, dishonest, sneaky. Everytime I went to the store, they did something sneaky without my permission (or doesn't bother tell me in the first place). I didn't know all these until early this year that I have been all those "insurance" for years. And last month, I went there about billing, they told me I had to call Verizon Wireless as they don't deal with it (I think it's a lie as they always do). The hotspot used to be free, now they charged me over more than $120 and they don't allow me to put on next month's statement (afraid of being caught)? Then today, I called Verizon Wireless to cancel the old devices, and by chance, they added $39.95/month "device protection". They don't want to provide service, everytime you walk in, you just become their next prey. I don't think I have written any negative online review for any retailer. This is how bad it is. Do not buy anything from this store!!! I wish I had read all these horrible reviews for their fraudulant tactics. They are frauds who deceive the customer!!! I went in to replace a lost iphone. The sales person Austin, told me they had no more yearly contracts which I was happy to hear. However that was the first lie. After horrible service that took an hour, Austin tells me when he is checking me out, that there is a promotion for a device called Hum, that is free. I asked what it is and he says it is device that you attach to your car and if you have a car problem you get towing and it tells them where you are. I explain to him that I don't need that as I am a AAA member. He says it is free so I might as will take it and puts it in the bag. If I do not use it then no charge after the promotional period. When we are done he says he will attach it to my steering wheel which I tell him no, I don't want him to do that and if I want it my husband could put it on for me. (It has never been taken out of the box since he handed it to me). Now 6 weeks later there is an activation charge for a new line and a monthly new device charge. I call Verizon to ask what this is..? They tell me I have to pay it because I purchased a Hum and signed a 2 year contract or pay $100 cancellation fee!!! When I explain I absolutely did not and please remove it from my bill, I am told that is not possible. He explains Verizon corporate has no control over that store because it is not verizon store! What??? It says Verizon! He also tells me that these independent stores can charge anything they want etc. After a rediculous amount of time on hold and argueing with Verizon that this was done deceptively, he gets the store manager on the line named Rani. Rani pulls up a receipt showing i signed for this. It is is a very short incomplete computer invoice. I am told there is nothing they can do.. basically suggesting I am an idiot/liar. Why would I sign up for a 2 year contract for an item that I do not want nor have I ever activated it! The salesman Austin knew I was in a hurry to be traffic and took full advantage of me. We have 5 phones with verizon and we plan to take our business elesewher for the horrible way they treated this situation and the ongoing fraud they allow in their named stores!!!!!! I am reporting them to the Better Business Burea and the FTC. I am also calling my credit card company to dispute the entire purchase for being fraudulant. Shame on Verizon. So the power button on my year old iPhone 4 that I received "new" broke and I had an independent contractor fix it. After he opened up my phone he informed me that my phone was definitely not new and said that he had seen the same thing with another customer who had purchased a "new" iPhone at this same location. I went into the store as directed by a Verizon phone rep in preparation for an overseas trip. Turns out that I was provided bad information on the phone. The Verizon rep made the call for me and he and another rep were on stand-by as I talked through my problem with various departments. I was able to get my problem resolved (although the true test will be arrival in Europe...) They seemed genuinely interested in helping me and were also much more knowledgeable than the remote support on the phone. read more

I am a resident of Corona del Mar and try to do my shopping there to support the community. I had a great experience with Ryan the Assistant Manager...I am truly technology challenged and he stepped up to the plate to help me not only up-grade my i-phone but gave me a great deal on an Android Tablet. He encouraged me to come in anytime with questions or needed help, which I did and he was right there and extremely helpful. I was told the store was under new management and would appreciate my comments. The other salespeople were very enthusiastic and professional as well. I like the store because it is not so crazy busy which allows them to give each customer unlimited time. I will return there for any of my elecronic needs. read more

Got a couple of new phones there today. Colby helped us. It was a terrible experience. First, he said he'd have us out of there in 30 minutes. It took 2 hours. Second, we weren't told about a bunch of costs until after we had been there almost 2 hours and had signed the contract (which did not mention these costs, by the way). We felt totally ripped off. I just went in for a new phone and data plan today. The service that I received went above and beyond what I had expected. I am not the most "tech savvy" person that you will ever meet, and the customer service representative was super helpful and willing to walk me through everything. He didn't even laugh at all of my stupid questions! I have been to this verizon store at least 5 times in the past and never got the service that I got today. I was upgrading my phone and a young lady named Crystal helped me. She did absolutely everything right! She checked my plan to see how she could help me save money and gave me clues on what to do on my end to save money. She set up my new phone and offered to give us lessons if we were confused. I have never had a Verizon rep who was more on the ball then Crystal and she made it a pleasure to be there. read more

Wanting to upgrade two cell phones on a Saturday morning, we waited for nearly two hours before a sales associate informs us that one phone has a glitch and needs to be reinstalled. We said, "No thank you...just restore my old cell phone." When we called to check if the phone was ready for pickup, we were informed that we had to pay a $70 restocking fee...mind you on a broken phone...the manager was firm on not waiving the fee. When we picked up our phones, we noticed a couple that was in line behind us still trying to get their phones! The manager did finally waive the fee...but it was the worst customer service experience we ever experienced...we will NEVER return! read more

I went in to get my new IPhone X activated. He said it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I said ok no problem. Went into the back office and came back and said it would be $20 dollars since they are a reseller and not corporate Verizon store. He said I could go to the Michelson Verizon store and do it for free. Now that I am the store right now writing this review it only took 15 minutes to get everything set up. I ended up purchasing a new case for my IPhone X and a car charger along with screen protector. All in total was $68.00. Not a lot of money but enough to make me extremely pissed off if I was the owner of this store telling customers to go over to other stores. I live in CDM and will never come back to this store and we have 6 phones in my family. If you don't want to be in business then close the doors. Don't tell customers that you are going to charge a fee and to go to another store for something free down the street. No one was even in the store. My review was deleted due to my using the name of the sales associate at the Corona Del Mar Verizon store. It apparently is not allowed to name names. Without naming names I would like to warn against using this store. One star because there is no way to give zero stars. The sales agent was untruthful, rude & disrespectful. My old flip phone quite working & I went in to purchase another LG flip phone. There was one flip phone on display & it was an LG. I asked for that phone & was specific on saying LG. The sales associate (unnamed) said that we were in luck because my upgrade was way overdue, meaning that the phone would be free, we qualified for a "free" tablet & our payments would be less than we were presently paying. I asked exactly what the catch was & the sales boy promised that the tablet was free. I had no interest in it, but my husband was happy. My husband was trusting the young man at his word & signed the contract without reading it in full. We came home & opened the phone box & it was NOT the LG I wanted. It was a Samsung brand. I called the store & said I would be in to exchange it for the LG. The young man told me that he knew that I'd be happier with the Samsung. NOT! He just took it upon himself to make that decision. When we got back to the store he told me that he thought I had pointed to the Samsung. I pointed out that there was no Samsung flip phone on display. This was met with a blank stare & my LG was handed to me. After getting back home & attempting to put in my contacts I noticed that the phone had dialed out a phone call two weeks prior to the purchase. There was also no protective film over the phone. I'm suspicious that I have an old phone. I will never go in there again! My husband returned to give him the tablet back & to deal with the charges they added (i.e. a restocking fee for my returning the Samsung). Another restocking fee for returning the tablet. read more

I first have to say that I did not go to this store directly. Their employee was at the Orange County Fair in a Verizon booth. She was the nicest young lady and we felt well cared for. She gave us her business card which was from this store. What she said she was doing for us did not come through on paper. The contract that we signed did not state what the "plan" was going to be charged. We took her word and got totally ripped off. I went to an official verizon store and they said they could not do anything for me as this 4G wireless was NOT Verizon itself but a retailer selling verizon products. I think Verizon needs to know that this company is ripping people off in their name. I have emailed a complaint to the corporate office and have not heard back. I was charged $200 for a re-furbished flip phone when she said it was free. My friend was charged full price of $660 for an iPhone 6 when she was told my the sales rep that it would be a $10/month charge on her bill for a total of $200 for the iPhone. I was told the "free" tablet would be a $10/month charge and i was just charged $97! This is on top of the activation fees we paid at the fair. I read another Yelp review and he recommended going to the BBB and I will. Be careful with this company! read more
