Such a beautiful new store, and such a bad first impression. I walked in here on a Tuesday probably about 1:50 p.m. Luckily my schedule is flexible because the Serramonte mall area is a total nightmare if you're there during busy times. I walk in and as usual I'm greeted and put on the digital waiting list. There are three other people currently being helped, but other than that just me, security guard, and the greeter guy. Within a minute or two I get a message letting me know that I'm next in line... fantastic! So I wait, and wait, and wait. One customer is finished being served and a sales associate walks to the back room and disappears. The second customer is finished being help and that sales associate also walks to the back room and disappears. It's been 30 minutes, and there is one customer being helped, me, the security guard, and the greeter guy. Since my initial check in, no one has approached me, talked to me, engaged me, or anything. I still need a new phone and some accessories, but I'm starting to wonder if this is the place I want to get it from. So I decide to leave because of the time I have left, I probably couldn't get it done anyway. As I'm leaving, the greeter informs me that I'm next in line. I informed him that I have known that for about 30 minutes, but that there's no one apparently available to help me. He tells me that somebody will be coming back from lunch momentarily who can help me. He explains to me that obviously the security guard cannot help me, but he cannot either because he needs to stay at the front of the store. He is actually a very pleasant person...just stuck in a bad retail system. I tell him that I understand, but that also there's something seriously wrong with the way the store is managed if they cannot handle two customers at once... and that I've been there for over 30 minutes waiting... for somebody to get back from lunch? With 30 minutes of my life now depleted, I left... upset with a company that Prides itself so much on its customer service. read more

I switched to Verizon from another carrier and also upgraded to the iPhone X. The folks here are super friendly, but they have yet to be helpful which is why my rating isn't higher. 1. It was not a good experience signing up. I switched from another carrier as a referral, meaning I should have gotten a couple sign-up bonuses. The referral bonus process was explained to us AFTER I paid...and we would have had to initiate it prior to that. Literally a matter of 5 seconds between getting the bonus or not. Why this wasn't explained those few seconds earlier baffled us. 2. There are tons of fees. Verizon's bills are extremely vague (i.e. it will say "This month's bill is up X amount." but you'll never actually learn why.) 3. Their device help sucks, for lack of a better word. My camera on the iPhone X is shot, and the best they could offer me was to swap for a refurbished phone. Now, my phone is a month old and it's the highest model iPhone X. I would expect much different service given I've barely had it and can trace the camera issue all the way back to getting it (I just didn't notice right away.) 4. Customer service by phone. Getting through to them is virtually impossible; I've tried at all hours of the day, all days of the week, even opted for the callback several times and never got it. Awful. So, for #3, I had to drive my butt all the way here to talk to them. To reiterate, I really liked the folks here - they're lovely - but between the missed sign-on bonus and then getting told I could get a refurb when I have a practically new phone......come on. read more

30 years of faithful and loyal customer of verizon. $300.00 family plan will be looking for another carrier. The verizon serramonte store with Alfonso and his co-workers are doing bad selling practice . It all started with my son went into the to upgrade his s8 to s10. He was told we are having but one and get one free. My son call me at home if I am interested in a free upgrade phone. So, I went to the store complete the paperwork. The salesman assured me that I will receive the $800. In the mail. After several months no check. Call the store and they said I am not qualified. We call again to explain that the store offer the promotion but they did return the call. Left phone messages and text no response. It has been 6 months. Call headquarters and the same excuses not qualified. It is time to changed carrier. Bye forever. read more

WORST experience ever with mobile carrier. I bought the service. The line does not even work properly and tried to get help second day after I signed up. The personals in the store are very rude. I seems nuisance to them. After waiting for 2 hours to get help, the rep named Cameron said call the tech support and tried to send me home without fixing it. He cannot even properly processed the accessories purchase transactions. Let's see I need to go there and solve the transaction problems. I did not see credit and I saw more transactions in the account. After arguing with them, the manager Devin helped to talk to tech support for another 2 hours. They promised it will be fixed in next day. Now the phone line was not even working properly. Worst nightmare and worst customer experience in this Verizon service. read more

Michael the store manager is not a good communicator. I picked up a phone I ordered a week before. This should have been a simple transaction. In unfortunately the other store sent the phone with the wrong serial number. He was at first dismissive and told me to talk to another sales person. Then I waited for Kevin, and then Kevin said Michael was in back taking care of it. Then Michael come out with phone. No communication at all. Kevin was wonderful to work with last week and Ahmed this week. The store manager should not be uncommunicative to customers. read more

We were made to wait for three hours with they could've told us this from the beginning they have no idea what they're doing they have no clue how to treat anybody they cannot waste a customer services the way they did with us and they still at the end of the day no clue what the hell they're doing. Went to Verizon to add a new line. Was told 1hr and 15 mins but they would text me when I was up. Except I never received a text from Verizon (seems fishy especially by closing time). So frustrated, I asked for the manager the kids smirked and said "I'm the manager." I then asked for his bosses number. 15mins later he gave me a number, I then asked to see his badge for his name and he refused went back into the store locked it and then sent down the metallic gates as if I was threatening him. read more

Stay away these guy do illegal practices with leading customer in false verbal agreement than when disputes the tell me to read the contact better next time! Sales man told me that I can charge a device to my account and pay it off as I go but never told me it must be paid off fully in a 2 month window. If you don't the shut off your services! Love this store. Parking was easy. The store is out in the open not hidden in the mall. For me it's odd to see one star reviews when I never had an issue ever. Realize the best service ain't always the cheapest. But it's always worth it. Years ago I left Verizon only to running back a few months later. When you used to reliable service nothing else matter. I find that Verizon is very competitive especially the family and business plans. read more

Verizon absolutely sucks. I haven't been with them for over a month because I switch plans to metro for being over charged by them. Then, after I go to a different carrier, a month later they take over 200 of my money! I tried for a refund. Was told one day that I was going to get my full refund, just for them to turn around and say they can only give me one week worth. WHAT??? You took it for the whole month but only paying me back a weeks worth of it? Thank you guys for screwing me over and I'll be definitely sure to let people know TMobile is a lot better then you guys. At least they just don't take your money without permission and give you the run around. I'm actually a few more "thinking about" away of just suing them because of the fact that all that just happened and they won't give me my full refund. Great customer service. I took my mom in to get a new case for her iPhone 8. She is very specific on color and style of case. Since the brand new Iphone came out they had a lot of cases put away in the back. I cannot remember the 2 gentlemen that helped us but they went above and beyond to find the case that my mom really wanted. In the end it needed to be ordered and it was in the next day. On 6/1/18 I had my car at the repair shop and I had lots of time. I decided it was time to update my phone. The store had just opened at 9:30 am and was empty. Shane helped me update my phone plan and set me up with my new Google Pixel phone. He made the process easy and simple. He was kind, patience and very knowledgeable about the phones features. The store is new and pleasant. Everyone there is helpful and friendly. I just went back today to pick up another cord for my phone and Shane was there. He was able to help me while balancing helping other customers walking in the door. I'm rather disgusted at yelp reviews that go on and on negatively insulting this location. Rude and unhelpful. First this location doesn't have consistent hours of operation and chooses when they can be open or closed arbitrarily. If you work during the day this is not the store for you. Most of their hours during the month of December were from 10-6. Phone Verizon rep confirmed to me on day 1 of my ordeal that they would be open until 7. I got there at 6:10 and they were closed and despite having a couple employees at the door they did not even acknowledge me. Got there the second day to pick the phone up. Had to come back a third day due to problems activating. Got there around 3:35 pm. Door states they close at 4:30 pm. Bilo assists with activation and I then I said ok I'd like to transfer the data from the old phone. Bilo says "oh no we can't help you with that." I said ok I'll just do it here on my own and he says no you can't we close in 10 minutes. I told him the door says 4:30 pm and he couldn't care less. First, since when does Verizon not actually help customers with transfers or phone operations generally and second, I didn't realize posted hours were just a suggestion. This after a truly horrific 3 day experience with Verizon customer service. Expect hold times in excess of 70 minutes, and very few personnel who know what they are doing, care or follow up. read more

I'mmoved Very disappointed with Verizon, I move my four lines from Tmobile onto Verizon looking for better customer service and better reception. what a surprise! I didn't find non of this!! this is a crappy company, specifically this location, customer service is terrible! My history is: I purchased and paid for 4 iPhone 13 pro max on line and select this store for pick up. I showed next day early morning for the pick up as soon as I walked into the store the manager greet me and offer to send someone to help but as soon as he found out that I have made the purchase on line and I needed to open a locker to get my phones out he changed the attitude and refused help totally claiming that the transaction was done online and I need it to have a code to open the locker and they were no going to do it for me. I waited about fifteen minutes and ask for the manager of the store for help and he reply saying that he was the manager and I have to wait for him to assist me. finally, after a bit over 30 minutes, he send someone to open the locker and retrieve my phones. And guess what? the order was wrong another huge impossible mission on that terrific Verizon store!! it took forever to exchange the wrong items, I had to go home back and forward so many times until I finally fix and activate My lines. It's been over a month since I switched from Tmobile to Verizon and I have not gotten My $200.00 per line for switching and no credit on my account for my trade-in. $800.00 each of them. I came to this location from a different store near Stonestown, where I had received absolutely horrible service (Ally at Victra on 1513 Sloat Blvd.) and wasted over an hour. I was helped immediately and Christian resolved my issue within minutes. All the staff was incredibly helpful, efficient and friendly. Not only did I receive excellent service, but was also offered $150 in free merchandise for simply opening an account! A far cry from the Victra location I had been to just minutes before that! Not only did he spend 2 hours with me helping copying data from my old phone to the new one, he also drove to San Mateo store to get a Verizon Wifi hotspot I needed to buy because only that store had it on stock. I came to this store about a week ago, and it was the best customer experience I've had at a Verizon store. The gentleman that helped me out was Joaquin. I had originally thought he was the manager because of how he presented himself (polite, friendly and knowledgeable) as well as being to go to guy for all the other representatives there. When I walked into the store I was immediately welcomed and had my name put down in their waitlist. No more than 5mins later Joaquin finishes with his current customers and jumps right on to the next customer which was me. I had a problem figuring out the charges of my bill and had just finished being on a frustrating phone call with customer care about my bill which he had no problem explaining it to me in full detail, and gave me a clear picture of what I've been paying for. He even went on to save me some money on my monthly bill which I greatly appreciated. Definitely was the best in-store experience I've ever had! read more
