I went in this morning to ask questions about changing my plan since I will be traveling international a couple times this year. I didn't want to get charged any ridiculous fees during my travels. Jason was super helpful and answered all my questions and helped me update my plan to cover me during my travels for only $2 +tax more per month. Very happy for the quick service. I wish I read these poor review before going to this store I am extremely disappointed with the Verizon store in 8795 villa la jolla, la jolla, california. Be prepared for looong waits. I went to upgrade my phone, and the rep told me that I would get the Samsung gs24 for free if I upgraded my plan, and I only needed to pay $250 for sales tax. Turns out that's a lie. The vzw bill i got afterward shows that I still have to pay $300 for the new phone after trading in my old device. Also the $250 was not fully sales tax, he added $120 worth of garbage case and screen protector without my knowledge (i told him.i dont need them but he ignored me and claimed its part of the deal). They also tacked $35 on home internet that I didn't want, another $35 device protection plan that i did not ask for. I have no idea why the store is so poorly rated, but this is without a doubt, my favorite Verizon store and they have helped to change my opinion about Verizon. I have had terrible luck with Verizon customer service lately so I decided to go in store and Ben and his team specifically Marley and Carlos went out of their way to help me rectify my situation and made sure that I felt comfortable And heard which goes a very long way for me. I will without a doubt be going in store to see them with any of my Verizon needs as opposed to calling customer service going forward as they are pretty much useless. I've attempted to use this store since June 2023 for home internet. The internet service has been spotty however the service in the store has been unhelpful to non-existent to complete refusal to help. After being on chat and phone for about three hours today trying to cancel inoperable service I was directed to go into the store, a corporate store. I went in, waited my turn, explained the situation and was immediately interrupted and told they could not and ultimately would not help. Having been a customer for over a year I am reporting this is the third time this has happened. While I was in the store I called customer service again, explained what was happening while one employee refused to help and left the store while another stood by and laughed. This was humiliating. Never will I use Verizon for any service. As a woman treated with overt disrespect by an all male staffed store I am so much more than offended and determined to report this experience. read more

Today I came in for help on a billing issue made by the system and Carlos and Jason (the manager) were a big help. They were both patient, communicative and advocated for me to make it right. I have never dealt with such disrespectful employee. Went in on a Saturday to buy a new phone upgrade my cases and instead of walking out with one I thought about switching all our business lines to a competitor. When we signed in the employee there was 1 person ahead of us, after waiting for 20 minutes and the employee finishing with the person I asked if he was available to help and he said actually there are 2 people ahead of you. He mentioned there were appointments he forgot about. Once I asked if he can give me an eta or of another appointment comes in will I be third in line. He said he already answered that and proceeded to helping someone else. After he spoke to them I asked him the same question again and to ask for the manager of the store. He then said he wouldn't be helping us. When I asked him for a card he said he didn't have one. Luckily I remember his name and so I can put in a formal complaint. Verizon Store in Del Mar, CA. On Aug 14, 2023 I went into the store to inquire about adding a line and transferring a T-Mobile line over. The representative told me I would get a $200 Visa Gift card via e-mail if I transferred a line from T Mobile so I proceeded. I have yet to receive gift card and talked to Verizon customer care and they told me I was given false information and basically, too bad so sad. I have been with Verizon for atleast 15 years and have 4 lines with them and it seems they lie to get you to do what they want. I am quite sure Verizon could cough up a $200 Visa gift card as promised but, instead, they choose to continue to be okay with their employees lying to you. Ordered a brand new iPhone 14 Pro online. I was given the opportunity to pick up in Oceanside store next day. I received a text notifying me that my phone was ready for curbside pick up at the Oceanside location. I acknowledged the text service when I arrived and it informed me in another text that it would be a few minutes until a Verizon representative would come out with my new phone. 40 minutes later no one came out. I entered the store and was told they don't have curbside pick up at that location and that I was going to have to wait until they finished with another customer. 20 mins later (1 hr total) the Manager and only employee in the store was not finished. Had to stop in at the Verizon store on Via De La Valle today and was I was pleasantly surprised to see how nicely they have renovated the store. The layout is so much better than the cluttered prior look, and it is so much easier to find what you are looking for. But perhaps even more important than the store layout, is getting help from an associate. Today Hali helped me, and was super helpful, informative and easily solved my issue. I am so so happy to be back with Verizon. Thank you thank you especially to Steven Han and Amanda for their amazing personal help and support to get this setup and done for our business. Previously with Verizon for over a decade and then switched to T-Mobile. I thought it was time to switch, but in the end I was wrong. So I came to the store in Del Mar and could not believe the amazing personal service I received from Amanda and then Steve. This time I did a business account since frankly should have had this in the first place. After Amanda got us all set up and approved which was super easy, Steven stepped in to make sure our business had everything we needed and then kept following up!!! I mean I was getting emails and calls to make sure all was ok. Next day I needed to add another employee and he personally took care of getting her the phone, backing and restoring the old one, porting the number. I have never had this kind of amazing and personal assistance. Verizon has really come a long way and this store is gorgeous and has all of the phones in stock. The other thing I noticed was everyone working in the store was a pro, not some 18 year old kid. Lastly have to tell you if you have a business, Verizon has you covered. You don't get bounced around, you get a rep - and we are small but treated like a fortune 500. Thank you so much Steven for taking such good care of us. read more

My experience at this Verizon location was a mixture of good and bad and by the time that I was finished dealing with them, it was quite the rollercoaster ride. A little background on my situation: My Galaxy S4 randomly shut down and attempted to reboot. The little green android guy was on the screen along with some scary looking computer lingo. I couldn't get the phone to do anything so I took it into the store for help. Everything started out fine. It was around 10:30 AM on a Wednesday and the store was already busy. I had to wait about half an hour for my turn. Two workers took a look at it and determined that my phone had inexplicably crashed. Thankfully, it was under warranty and they could get a new phone shipped to the store for pick-up within a couple of days. They set me up with a temporary replacement phone (a smartphone but not nearly as smart as my Galaxy) and sent me on my way. I returned to the store on Saturday to pick up my new phone. I was told that the phone would arrive by Friday but as of Saturday, it was nowhere to be seen. Turns out that instead of two day shipping, it had been shipped standard. I was then told that I could return on Tuesday to pick it up. This was slightly annoying as I had made a special trip to the store just to get the phone. When I swung by on Tuesday evening to get the phone, thankfully it had arrived. However, the phone did not come with a battery or back cover and it was intended that I use the battery and back cover from my old, dysfunctional phone. This would have been fine except that after I gave my phone to the workers on Wednesday, I never saw my phone again. They were supposed to return it to me, although I didn't know this at the time, but instead managed to misplace it. The employee who helped me on Wednesday was not working on Tuesday and no one knew what had happened to my old phone. After much discussion and searching, they eventually found another battery and back cover for me to use while they continued to hunt for my phone and I was told that they would be in touch with me within the next couple of days. During this time frame, I received a "threatening" automated message from Verizon saying that if I didn't send back my old phone that they would charge me $500. A day or two later, I received another automated message saying the phone had been returned. Apparently, my old phone was sent back without getting the back cover or battery. I had to stop once more into Verizon in order to get a different back cover, as the replacement was white and my Galaxy was black. Thankfully, they had a black cover in stock now and everything has been fine with my new phone. The staff were all very friendly but not the most organized. So what is going on at Verizon here? We came in to buy a brand new Samsung phone. Should be easy. Frankly a fun occasion typically. But after the salesperson told me about the Verizon credit card 4 times and 4 times I said I don't need it he stopped the transaction and said he couldn't continue and then grabbed the manager Brad. They kept insisting it was their job to tell me about the card. Fine once, maybe twice, but stopping the entire transaction because I asked not to share again? Then pulling back the free promotional tablet? I seriously don't understand. Especially as I've been a Verizon customer for many years. At that point I didn't trust what what was going on. It's a shame we had to walk out. No new phone. At least also no Verizon card! So weird! read more

Make sure you have 2-3 hours to kill if you want anything done in this store. They are extremely understaffed with a general wait of 40 mins to be seen. They are terrible trained and have a difficult time truly helping. I needed help with an Asurion phone replacement and they assisted after two days of trying to work with the store. I would go for a couple hours one day and wait and then go a couple hours the next day but would always have to leave because I would have a meeting. Then when they did help they (Verizon) said my records showed I had a apple 11 pro and what I really had was an apple 12 Pro Max but I got so sick of dealing with them I just took the apple 11 pro and use it now. Moving backwards in technology but at least I have a phone after being down for 5 days without one. I wont go into the details but asurion couldnt send me a phone until I had Verizon unlock my account. A complete disaster. read more

The suuposed manager of this store is out of control and unqualified. She is openly refusing to honor appointments and turning customers away. She refused to give her name and turned her badge around. She also told a couple waiting outside they would be let in after the surface cleaner dries. Instead she continued to check people in and argue with customers for another 10 minutes. I had a HORRIBLE experience with the manager Ruben. I had in writing from customer service that my mom would be able to pick up a SIM card to add on to my account. She called me from the store and he was insanely rude, yelled at me at the top of his lungs and kept cutting me off, not letting me get a word in. He demanded I call 611 to speak to customer service, which I did. The representative confirmed that my mom could get a SIM card and Ruben still refused. I was in the Del Mar (Via de la Valle) store yesterday to upgrade from an Iphone 8 to a 13 and the procedure took 2 hours (the first 45 minutes because the rep kept trying to convince me to add an extra line and sign up for direct deduction from my checking account which I refused to do). Imagine my displeasure when I checked my account the next day and the Verizon Rep had added a protection plan of 17/mo on my new phone without ever discussing it with me or getting my consent. I have 4 lines with no protection plans, my I8 did not have one and this was a SCAMMY way of boosting profits and commissions. When today I tried to delete the protection plan online, the Verizon website would not allow me to delete it. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with Verizon Customer Service before this additional charge was deleted. I filed a formal complaint with Verizon Corporate against the salesman-hopefully they will take action against this disingenuous employee. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for about 20 years. We have a business account with 5 lines and we usually come to this particular Verizon store when we need new cell phones. Had I reviewed this store on any of the previous multiple occasions that I had visited, I would have rated my experience a four. A four and not a five because there is usually a very long wait. Today I was pleasantly surprised that we had to wait under five minutes to see someone as the store was not at all busy even though it was Saturday afternoon. My daughter's iPhone 6 had fallen to the floor and smashed last week. We went into Verizon and got her a brand-new iPhone 7 plus as she had an upgrade. The new phone we received was faulty. It kept freezing periodically, and the picture quality was very poor. It happens. Verizon has a no questions asked return policy for business customers to return the phone with in 30 days if you simply do not like it. I believe for individual customers it's a 14 day return policy. I explained the problem and the person assisting us started telling us that it is only Verizon's responsibility to provide the phone line as they are only a phone company. She said they are not responsible for the actual device - the fact that it was not working should be taken up with Apple since it is an Apple phone. She started explaining to me that Verizon and Apple are different companies. Duh! Who doesn't know that?? I explained that I knew very well that Apple and Verizon were different companies, but that Verizon sells Apple products and has a 30 day guarantee on the products they sell and I needed to exchange the faulty phone that Verizon sold me as an authorized seller for Apple for one that worked. It was only seven days since we had received this new phone. We were well within the return policy period. She started trying to troubleshoot and went to ask her boss how Apple troubleshoots. I explained once again I did not want to troubleshoot the phone and that I needed to exchange it for a working one. Her boss, Kenneth, then tried to tell me that I had to be charged a restocking fee because they couldn't prove that there was something wrong with the phone. I had to explain to Verizon once again their own policy - that they have a return policy even if there is nothing wrong with the phone. And I was not returning the phone for a refund. I had been sold a faulty phone. I was well within my guarantee. And they needed to honor their own policy and exchange it. Finally with much resentment and a rude comment from the lady that was helping us we finally got a working phone. It felt as if Kenneth has taken over this previously excellent Verizon store, and was training the staff to try and fool their customers who had iPhone problems that they are a mere phone line provider company and cannot accept responsibility for the products they sell. And if they do have to accept responsibility, they will charge you more. Seriously???? Sorry Kenneth and staff. Your customers are just not that stupid. read more

The customer service here is horrible. The employees seem like they are in a comatose zombie state of mind and could really give a rats ass about your situation. Seems like all they want to do is upgrade you or waste your time. I have the extended warranty and less than a year on my phone and was told after a long wait that I had to call technical support. If you value time do not visit this store. In fact this was the straw that broke the camels back for me I'm leaving Verizon for good. I don't know maybe if these conglomerates take better care of their employees we intern would be better taken care of Verizon sucks! read more

They are unyielding when it comes to a 14 day return policy and don't care how much other business you do with them. While many of the sales people are helpful, the manager Yotive is very arrogant and has no customer service skills. You are much better off working with Verizon on line. read more

I recently needed to replace my iPhone. Service was okay. But I had to go home and transfer the data from old to new phone. Today, I got new screensaver. The Verizon people know how to install the screen savers without bubbles and perfectly aligned. So, I went to the store and they refused to assist because it wasn't critical given COVID. Time to look for another carrier. I have 4 phones with them and 3 tablets spend $400 monthly. Plus service at my house sucks. read more
