Disappointed with the deceptive practices of the employees at this store . After upgrading to a new phone, the employee, Adam, told me I could pick out any cable, charger, and case because they were included with the phone. I was pleasantly surprised, as I usually avoid buying accessories here due to their high prices. However, when I received my receipt, I noticed I had been charged almost $200 for these accessories, which Adam had claimed were "bundled" with the phone. I immediately informed him that I no longer wanted the items and requested a refund. He responded by saying he wasn't allowed to sell a phone without the accessories, as it was against store policy. I explained we had purchased a phone here a few months ago without any such requirement, and I've been shopping at this store for over five years without encountering this issue. Adam then claimed that all the old employees had been fired. When I asked to see this policy, he showed me a basket labeled "essentials" as if that explained everything. Seriously? At this point, I asked to cancel the entire order, but he said it would cost me a $50 restocking fee. I agreed to pay it, and only then did he reluctantly agree to remove the accessory charges--except for the screen protector, which had already been applied to my phone. Next day, went to the store and asked that they give receipt for both new iPhone purchase and refund Adam was supposed to give me ( Adam lied and told me receipts were emailed to me, it was not). Shockingly, he only gave me refund for phone case and charger! When asked why not give refund for cable, Adam said his manager, Anthony, said do not give refund for cable. Why? We have not had any luck with the store. The people there are probably fine and probably capable but we've had two negative experiences. The first was in 2023 when I ordered a new iPhone online through the Verizon app and specified the store for the in store pick up only to learn that they did not have the phone in stock. We only wanted in store pick up and not a phone mailed to the home since we ran into an issue years earlier when we ordered an iPhone through Verizon only to have an empty box mailed to the home. The only way I was able to get my money back was it was determined that the weight of the package when it departed the post office was less than when it arrived. Recently, we went to the store to order a new iPhone and things went well or at least we thought it did. We ordered the phone and I told the salesman that I wanted to pay the cost up front and not monthly. We were told that we would receive a phone call in 2-3 days when the phone arrived but we never did get a call. Later we learned the salesperson quit. We made another appointment to see what happened since my app said the phone arrived and was signed by the manager. We made an appointment because if you call the store, you get someone from India or the Philippines on the line. Anyway, to our disappointment, I could not buy the iPhone because they would not let me pay for it outright but only monthly. The salesperson even said he would charge me for "activation." Of what? I tried the Corporate Store in Rancho Bernardo and was also told I could not buy a new iPhone without also changing my wireless contract. Keep in mind, I only wanted to upgrade my wife's phone. That's it. I didn't need a new wireless plan. Finally, I gave up with Verizon and went to Apple in UTC. Apple sold me a new iPhone Max Pro paid in full, activated the phone in the store and kept my wireless plan, all within 20 min. So, my lesson learned: 1. If you need to upgrade to a new iPhone, you can avoid all sorts of headaches by avoiding Verizon in general, not just this store. I think Verizon always wants to change something else and no, I don't need a free case or cables with my order. 2. Just upgrade at your local Apple Store. 3. Any phone number associated with this store will not be answered. At least not by anyone in the store but rather some remote location with a heavily accented individual. 4. Don't even walk in. Adam B literally tried to scam my girlfriend. He told her that all accessories came with the phone, when in reality it did not come with the phone. We refunded 3 of the purchased accessories, however he tried to only give us the money back for 2 of these items. Upon visiting yelp, it seems Adam has tried doing the EXACT same thing to other customers, leading me to believe this was not a mistake, but an elaborate scam. This is a Victra Verizon franchise. I went here as I had a problem with my other service provider. I explained my situation to Ja'Ron and he was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately his coworker Jesus was aggressive and disrespectful when I came back in to resolve a problem. I asked to speak to his manager and she responded once in an email. I literally just got back from getting my phone taken care of. I called and Stone told me to come in whenever. I dropped my phone-face down. The iOS system went out. Like the Matrix or some sci-fi movie. Stone was busy so Ernie helped me. I had called VZ before to see what kind of deals they could provide-being a customer since the Air Touch days-and nothing. Basically, with insurance, I'd have to pay out $200 for a refurbished phone + the balance on my phone. We consolidated and I walked out with a better model and other stuff. A brand new phone. Not refurbished. They worked it out to give me a good deal that worked within my budget. AJ the manager approved and didn't even ask. Whatever the guys asked to approve, he was more than confident in helping out. We also got our home phone line, which we use at work, upgraded for free. It was outdated. I was in the process of replacing the phone itself because we thought it was bad--once I plugged the new box in--we have CLEAR concise calls!!! I can actually hear the person!!! I sincerely appreciate the attention and taking the time out to help me. I honestly was going to wait out my payments and suffer with my phone scrolling, but I use it for work and emails and really needed something that didn't look like a roulette wheel. NOTE: this is an authorized independent dealer NOT a corporate Verizon store. Fooled by the Verizon logo outside the store and the fact that all their employees wear Verizon uniforms, we thought this was a corporate store. The difference is that an independent dealer is authorized to sell Verizon merchandise and plans BUT they can change the price and fees compared to corporate Verizon stores who honor what Verizon advertises. The negative review is for the lack of transparency and frank lies about their charges and fees. First of all, they charge more for each phone compared to the corporate stores. Second, they have an ADDITIONAL charge for keeping your phone number ($20 extra per line) on top of the $30 activation fee Verizon charges you. If you go to a corporate store, the $30 activation fee includes keeping your phone number. When we asked about the phone price and any additional fees, we were told this was set by Verizon. NOT TRUE since after getting our first bill and calling Verizon, they explained these are extra charges set by the independent store, NOT Verizon. Third, we found out they charge more for their accessories and do not honor the 25% off that a corporate store would. Verizon customers beware. If I could give the salesperson zero star, I would do that. I went there to purchase a new iPhone 13 and the salesperson was NOT even happy to see a customer and it was obvious on her face when I opened the door. During the purchase process, she told me that screen protector, extra charger and phone cover were included in phone package and not cost anything extra. However during payment process, I asked what are those extra charges and it appeared that there WAS an actual cost for these and she now backpaddled that these are included in their promotion package and that was what she was referring to. After my conversation with her, she removed these extra cost. I told her that last time, we purchased the new phone, we got the screen protector for discounted price. she said that she can not do that and it is a manager job to do such. I asked her to call manager and ask and after several request, she PRETENDED that she called the manager while her phone was locked and she came back and said that manager can not give any discount and it is a new manager. I purchased the phone as it was almost at the end of the process but will NEVER buy a phone from this store unless the manager is presence and will call to make sure that you are met with curtesy and also get the discount that apparently only managers are allowed to give. read more

Getting your phone fixed is usually super annoying, right? Well, coming to this Verizon store made it actually pretty fun! My phone's camera stopped working for about two weeks. All of the other Verizon stores I went to in the area refused to help me outside of telling me to download the TechCoach app or to send in my phone to some phone claim company. Who wants to be without their phone working for that long, considering the time it takes for things to ship and be fixed? It made me question the legitimacy of Verizon and the protection plan I pay for. Coming to this store was honestly my last try before I would have decided to switch to another phone company. Aleksandr and Nathan both came up with quick solutions to my problem and had me leave the store with a new phone within the hour. I even had time to get food during my lunch break while they prepared my new phone for me. Seriously, I recommend coming to these two if you have any problems with your phone or any other Verizon store in the area. I came into the store today to pickup on on-line order. The person told me that there were issues with store pickups and that my order was probably shipped to a different store, but couldn't tell me anything else. I showed him the e-mail I received saying my order was there at the store, but again just said its not there and to call 611. After spending 45 min on hold on the phone with customer service, I finally got someone who explained that it appeared the store had cancelled my order and found the explanation given by the store odd because there typically is no shipping involved. I now have to re-order the device again while awaiting the refund from the cancelled order and now have 2 charges on my card. The person in the store should have been much more helpful than to just refer me to customer service. If the store cancelled the order they could have just told me that and helped me re-order. I do not plan on ever have anything picked up in this store or come in for any reason as customer service just simply doesn't exist there. read more

I'm a business owner who has held many lines with Verizon for many years. Most stores treat their customers as though they want to keep them. However, today my daughter went to the store at 3860 Valley Center Dr., San Diego, CA 92130, to get a new SIM card. Instead of calling customer service, however, which is standard practice, the representative who claimed to be a manager, told them I would personally need to come in with my I.D. I called the store and spoke to the alleged manager, who claimed that since my daughter didn't know the PIN, I was required to come in myself, per "policy." When I explained that we had just done this same thing recently for another phone, he said "well, they did it wrong." I told the person I knew the PIN but he said that didn't matter. I said, "So, it wouldn't have mattered if she had known the PIN then," and he said, "correct." Realizing these guys had just been dismissing my daughter because they felt they could, I called Customer Service who said this was not policy. She called the store and told them my daughter was authorized to get a SIM. Instead of letter my daughter go back in alone, I went down there anyway. When we went in, the manager saw that my daughter had returned but walked in the back instead of helping her. After having to wait for the other customer service representative to finish with a customer, I decided to ask the manager to come out there and help us.
