Horrible Service. Terrible attitude. I'm amazed how poorly I was treated at this store

Literally the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I feel bad giving such a poor review because it was clear that everyone else was receiving great service. When a sales person is not helpful AND rude, what else can you do? I'd rather drive 30+ mins out of my way to not have to deal with this sales person again. read more

Verizon has the worst billing, the worst Customer Service. They double bill and no matter what you do, they refuse to fix it. My calls drop, I can't get phone coverage in certain parts of me to Denver. I will be changing providers very soon!!!! read more

Well it was time to upgrade my phone and since I had a pleasurable experience last time I was here I thought I would come back. This time I knew exactly what model I wanted - they had it in stock. I posted this to the 602 S. Colorado Verizon store also but then I saw Gary R.'s review below and wanted to link my 1 star review to his. My review also includes this Colorado store in my story. This says something when my experience with two Verizon stores only get a 1 star from me. Here is my story: In March of 2012 I had my flip phone stop working so I stopped at what I thought was a Verizon store which was close to my house. The big sign on the building said "Verizon". The two guys working there informed me that it would cost me $50.00 to replace it. I started to ask a lot of questions about possibly getting a smart phone instead since some friends had them already and I like the features. They both were annoyed by my questions. I had questions because it was all very new to me. I was told that since my contract was not up I would get a $9.99 charge per month for the next two years. Several months later the other person on the same plan with me wanted to look at some new products from Verizon so we went to the store by his house (2073 Colorado Blvd). They pulled our plan up and asked us about the "Ghost Line" that we were being charge for $9.99 per month. I explained to them what I was told by the other store. We found out that the store that I went to was not a corporate store so I was being charged this additional fee and if we had gone to the corporate store we would not have been charged this monthly fee. This was very upsetting that I was going to have to pay $9.99 for two years, this equals $240.00 for getting nothing. The Corporate Verizon store tells us that they can not do anything about it and I will just have to pay it. It is deceiving that there are different types of Verizon stores that have different policies and charges making it very difficult to trust who I'm dealing with. November 2012 we saw an ad on black Friday for a $99.00 tablet. We went in to the same corporate store to work with Steven who has always given us great service and takes the time to explain the different products and services. At this time we decided to buy the tablet and upgrade our plan to the shared plan. It was explained to us that the $9.99 ghost line would now cost $30.00 per month and it would still need to be paid for another year to satisfy the contract. That's another $360.00 for the year! We came up with the idea of buying yet another tablet and assigning it to the ghost line and then the charge would drop to $10.00 a month and I would have a second tablet. I even kicked around the idea of buying an old broken tablet off ebay and assigning it to that ghost line to reduce the charge and then just throwing it out. The Verizon rep we were talking to at the time (not Steven) thought this would be a good idea. First we were told this would work then told it may or may not at a later date. Part of my frustration is that I don't get a straight answer and no one there including the manager seems to have any authority to take care of a customer's problem. We just get a lot of corporate double talk. After seven more trips back to the store and complaining about the problem they offered to let me buy out the last year of my contract for the ghost line for $130.00 cash. I didn't feel I had a choice and in the long run this ended up being cheaper. What I really wanted was to be refunded or credited the full amount of the ghost line since the charge started over a year ago. I think this is only fair considering their affiliate store didn't inform me that if I had gone to a corporate store there would not have been a ghost line charge. So what is a ghost line charge anyway? This is just a way to add additional charges to someone's plan. The customer gets nothing and the company has to do nothing so this charge is a total rip off! So BEWARE of the Verizon store at 620 S. Colorado Blvd in Denver. The generic plans at Walmart are looking better and better and you can bet we will be going there as soon as our contract runs out. read more

Taera M was so helpful I had to write a review. I don't know anyone that wants to go to a cell phone store, at least not me, but this trip proved to me that it can be enjoyable. Taera set up my husband's and my phone (iPhones) and was helping to move the line of people who came in after us while our stuff was loading on our new phones. She was funny, knowledgable and kind. She suggested some of the phone cover options and explained all of the bells and whistles. Let me add she was extremely patient with several customers that didn't know their passwords or email addresses! Oh that kills me! She even suggested a fix for a guy with another brand (Samsung) and told him he needed a new SIM card which probably saved him a ton of time and $. Lunch time is super busy and we were there on a Tuesday- it was packed. Don't go if you're in a hurry but if Taera is there you'll be well taken care of, I promise. read more

I have been to the Verizon Store three times in the last two weeks and Brendan has helped me every time and stayed with me through all of my phone drama! His customer service skills were outstanding and 1000% would come back again to just work with him on any of my phone difficulties. Thank you SO MUCH for making my phone as easy as possible. Worthless.. not just a review for today, years of dealing with horrible service from this location. Latest problem, my phone wouldn't read SIM card. I brought it into this location, lady didn't bother looking at phone, just directed me to apple, asurion to incur $150 replacement fee. Brought it to a person I knew, they fixed it in 30 seconds. Staff here always seems to enjoy telling you bad news, or that you have to pay and they do nothing to help.. I wonder how many others have paid there $150 fee because staff won't provide help. read more

This review is not about this store . It is about their overall customer service via telephone. It is incorrigible. Nobody knows what they are doing and all they want to do is sell you something. There is terrible reception in the Dtc area in places so they want to sell you an extender for $245. To talk to a representative you have to wait for 30 plus minutes. I have had Verizon for 4 and one half years and in the Beginning their service was superior but now it is the very worst. Will be looking for new carrier! read more

Probably the most helpful Verizon store I've ever been to. I went in to replace a phone that had quit working and he went out of his way to make sure I didn't have to pay extra for it. I was in and out and didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes after walking in the store. I will definitely be going back. read more

The employee gave me some serious erroneous information after asking several times for her to double check she refused and stood firm she knew what she was talking about and that was after an 1:15 wait. I just experienced the worst level of customer service at this Verizon store. I went to return a watch I received for Christmas for another color. The box had not been opened. Tiffany proceeded to open the box and put the watch together and then attempt to charge me a restocking fee in order to get another color. My husband, who bought the watch as a gift for me, was told that during the promotion between dec 13-31, if the unopened box was brought in, it could be exchanged for another color. I said we would not be paying the restocking fee and she wadded the watch up in the packaging. I asked her to put it back like it was when I brought it in and she said she wasn't going to do that and threw it all in a bag. I no longer wish to do business with Verizon, especially this store! As many others have said, the service is horrible here and they don't care. I had an issue with a purchase plan for a cell phone in which the representative lied to me and needed help coming up with a solution. Spoke with Kristen, the "general manager" and her only response to the problem was "it is was it is". She must have said it a half dozen times. I've been with Verizon for years now and have found the employees to be very helpful. However, twice now, including today (12/16/18), the lady who checked me in was very rude and codecending. She didn't seem to be knowledgeable either. I was ready to buy a smart watch, but will go with a different company now. I dealt with NICK at this Verizon Store on South Colorado Blvd. I was DUMB enough to buy a verizon phone from the verizon store. OK, rookie mistake. I didn't realize they mark up their phones 100% at the store. OK, so Verizon ripped me off by charging me too much. Within a few weeks, the phone started acting worse and worse. I called their customer service number, and it took three tries and twenty minutes to talk to a real person, who told me my big "option" was to call the toll free number of the MANUFACTURER MYSELF and try to get them to fix the phone. WHAT! Didn't you evil fukk's sell me the phone? Why don't YOU fix my phone. Frankly, I didn't want to fix the phone. I told them that a phone that actually works was going to cost me about $140, and could they maybe give me some credit regarding the phone I paid too much for at their stupid Verizon store. No such luck. Screw you, customer, you are on your own. I asked for a phone number where I could talk to a real person, They gave me 888-294-6804. I tried to get on their forum so I could flame Verizon, and it wouldn't let me create an account. So I called the number that supposedly doesn't have an automated message, and I can't get through. Beware of the pre-paying scam! They had us pre-pay a month ahead for our service, and then when we cancelled our line of service they had us pay for the last month. We have been talking to over 5 different sales reps, 3 of which promised to send a refund check but we have not received it, nor is it on our records. read more

I went to this Verizon store to get some help with my currant phone. It had been a long day and I was in hurry, so when I walked in I was relieved to be assisted quickly, all my questions answered, and everything I needed taken care of no problem. I have to say that it was the best customer service I had in a while. I was due for an upgrade. No plan changes, I had already done my research ahead of time and had decided on the phone I wanted BEFORE I went in to do the upgrade (which I recommend to any customer). I also backed up all contacts, photos, etc. BEFORE I went in because, hey, this isn't the first time I have gone through this process and I wanted to it to be as easy and seamless as humanly possible. I decided to go in to the store on a Monday evening about an hour before closing, thinking this would be a relatively low-wait time. DO NOT GO ON MONDAY EVENINGS AN HOUR BEFRE CLOSING. The concierge told me that it would be about 45 minutes before I would be attended to, I've had longer waits at the DMV so I figured 45 minutes wouldn't be so bad, besides, I have Candy Crush.... During my "45 minutes" (which ended up being more like an hour and 45 minutes) I made a lot of observations. One being that this place has about 6-8 service terminals, 1 concierge employee, and 3 sales/customer service employees. The wait list was up to 10 customers. I overheard the concierge say that this tends to be a busy time for them so a wait this long isn't uncommon. If that is so Mr/Ms Manager, WHY WOULDN'T YOU HAVE ENOUGH EMPLOYEES TO COVER YOUR CUSTOMER TRAFFIC?? Ok. I work retail. I get it. But couldn't you at least make the wait a little better? Bottled water? A coloring book? Hell, acknowledging that I have been here over an hour listening to crappy music over the store speakers and watching a budding "bromance" develop between 2 customers and 2 sales employees.... I guess not. So instead I look up your stores Yelp reviews and discover this isn't an uncommon customer experience. Finally, I become one of the elite few.... An employee whose name rhymes with "Dick" was assigned to me. Now, maybe he was exhausted after servicing the dude before me, but after witnessing over an hour of laughing and backslapping between him, his co-worker and 2 other customers, I guess I was hoping for a bit of a friendlier experience... But, hey, I've worked customer service too.... and by this point it is after closing. He seemed relieved that I'm not a total moron and had all of my stuff backed up and ready to go. As far as the actual activation of my new phone went, it was fine. Technically speaking, he knew what he was talking about and answered a few questions I had. I was hoping for a little bit more of a hands on "tutorial" on the features of my new phone, but instead he showed me where the how-to videos were... Again, I get it... There were about 5 more very unhappy people waiting to be seen behind me. But really, if you are going to give awesome service to a customer, where all other customers can witness it, you should keep that standard up... All in all, I got what I came in for plus a headache. If you can go mid-day mid-week, you can probably miss the wait... but if you do get stuck for "45 minutes" just be prepared... :/ read more

Wanted to upgrade my iPhone from a 6 to an 8 PLUS. Went to this Verizon location to get it. The sales person I talked to wasn't very friendly but whatever. I just wanted a new phone. The sales person said he couldn't setup the phone for me because my old phone wasn't backed up on iCloud. So he gave me the unopened box with my new iPhone and told me to set it up when I get home. When I got home I backed up my phone and then opened the box. To my surprise the phone in the box was the same size as my iPhone 6. It wasn't an 8 PLUS, it was a regular 8. The sale person gave me the wrong phone. Ok, that's inconvenient but no big deal. I'll just go back to Verizon and exchange the phone. A few days later, I went back to Verizon and I explained what happened to a different sales person than the one that helped me before. Again the sales person wasn't very friendly, but whatever. She said we can exchange your phone but you have to pay a $35 restocking fee. WHAT. You guys made the mistake. Why should I have to pay for your mistakes. After arguing with the sales person and her manager, who was also not very friendly, it was obvious they were not going to waive the $35 fee. Horrible customer service. After this experience I'm definitely considering changing service providers. read more

As far as service at this store it's been OK. My beef is with Verizon itself and their billing techniques. I am guessing all wireless services nickle and dime their customers to death but Verizon is really bad. It seems they have unauthorized retailers who can sell their products then add additional charges to your Verizon bill that you would normally not have if you had gone to an authorized dealer like a Verizon store. This store displays the Verizon sign just like a normal store but will charge you additional fees for the life of your contract if you are not careful. After much complaining to the store manager they offered us the opportunity to buy out the rest of the contract on the product in question at half price even though they admit we got screwed because we did not know and were not told by the store that there would be extra charges. BEWARE, ask a lot of questions and get everything in writing. It seems many of the associates in these stores are only partially trained and know just enough to make the company money as well as their commission but certainly not save you any. read more

This store has particularly terrible service. I think it books down to extremely poor management because every time I've been in here it's total chaos. Make an appointment and you'll be waiting 45 minutes. Don't make one and it'll be two hours. Though this is right by our house I've recently started going to the location in Cherry Creek mall. This place rocks! Every time i go in, they give me free stuff. A couple of months ago, i got a free tablet when i bought a new phone. Somehow or another, the extra line for the tablet was cheaper than the two lines i had before. Adrian gave me a sweet deal. I don't know how the math worked out that way, but i just took that deal and ran! Then today, after i dropped my brand new phone (no insurance, dammit!), i took the phone in for repair. They don't fix screens (see my separate review for Yakkety Yak), but Josh replaced the SIM card for free so that calls would work again. Again, FOR FREE!! I had to wait 20 mins, but the staff there are so darn helpful and friendly, that it's worth it. Dealing with tech details is not my idea of fun, and i don't enjoy looking at all the new phones and toys as much as some people do. But if you gotta hang out in a Verizon store, this is the place to be. Now, if they would just get some more chairs for customers to sit in while we wait ... LOL read more

These people are worse than used cars salesmen. The sales rep lied about my current contract, and even after I corrected him, he insisted I was wrong, then transferred me to less GBs. Then when I returned the phone later that day once I realized he had charged more than "the special" he quoted, he lied about how much he had said the restocking fee would be. The store manager was unresponsive. I recommend staying away from this store, or you will get screwed. read more

Avoid this store at all costs! It is full of incompetent, lazy employees that don't care one bit about their paying customers. This whole situation started when I convinced my girlfriend to leave T-Mobile and come join a family plan on Verizon (Worst mistake I've made in a long time). Scott was our salesman and told us they had a BOGO promotion going on for the new iPhones. We were told we could pick any new iPhone and get a credit for up to $750 towards a second one. My girlfriend and I both picked the IPhone XS Max and Scott informed us that the credit would show up in our account after two billing cycles. After two months of paying our bill the credit was not in our account. I called customer service and they told me it was being processed and should show up soon. After a week I called back to tell them I still didn't see the credit in my account. I was transferred to a "manager" that said she would escalate the form and it would be taken care of and show up in my account within 48 hours and that she would personally call me back to confirm. Three days goes by and it's still not in my account, never heard from that manager again even after emailing her multiple times (Phyllis Evans). At this point I am very frustrated with trying to figure out what is going in with this promotion I was promised by multiple people. I come back into the store to speak with a manager (Brenda Haley) after looking through their files she tells me "Oh I'm sorry it looks the BOGO offer wasn't valid for the iPhone XS Max phones." So basically at this point I've been lied to by FIVE different people about this issue. At this point Brenda clearly sees I'm very upset with this whole situation and she assures me that she will talk to her District Manager (Lucious) and get this sorted out. She called a couple days later to say Lucious would be reaching out to me. I never heard from him and I left her two voicemails with no return call. At this point I'm fed up with being lied to and go back to the store once again and speak with an employee (with a man bun, I think his name is Chris). He goes in the back to "speak with a manager." When he comes back out he pulls up my bill on his tablet and says they have already processed the paperwork for the FULL value of one of the phones which was $1250. So I ask "I'll be getting a credit for 1200 something?" And he says "yes it will be a credit for $1250" and I said "okay that's awesome, thank you for fixing this problem finally." Shook his hand and left. Yesterday I see a text and email saying my account has been credited $750. This was the final straw. At this point I have been lied to 6-7 times by different people so I came back into the store tonight. Unfortunately Brenda was gone so I had to speak to another manager Crystal about it. She told me that the promotion value was only for $750 and it had already been credited to my account. So I asked her "Then why did Chris literally open my bill in front of me two days ago and tell me to my face that I would be getting a credit for $1250?" All she could tell me is that they're all human and they make mistakes. He came out to apologize and I said "that's great and all, but your apology isn't worth $500." She said I'm sorry that's all we can do.....after getting lied to repeatedly by many different people over the course of 4 months I am finally walking away with the original promo amount. I am so fed up with these incompetent people at Verizon I will be leaving this company as soon as the phones are paid off. No one got any sort of disciplinary action over screwing me over for months. All of the staff here are literally a joke and can not understand a simple promotion and they clearly couldn't care less about their customers, otherwise they would've honored the $1250 amount they told me last. I REPEAT AVOID THIS TERRIBLE STORE AND COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Maybe try training the staff so they actually know what's going and aren't just making things up when they tell customers IMPORTANT information. I will be reporting all of this mess to the Verizon corporate office and the better business bureau ASAP. read more

Not only was the entire staff friendly and helpful but they were adequately staffed and I received assistance immediately! Absolute and unqualified disaster. Understaffed and overcrowded location. The sales people are nice, but expect to wait between 30 mins to an hour any time you go in. Tons of people go in to window shop and spend time asking questions but not buying anything. Gets frustrating when all you know what you want before you go in. read more

THE WORST STORE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reviews I EVER write are good ones. I went out of my way to write a bad review for this awful store. My iPhone broke (my fault). I didn't have an upgrade and knew I had to pay full retail for a new phone. I went to the store. MARDI was my sales woman and she told me "don't worry, I can get you a knee phone, iPad mini, and any phone case in the store all for $480 and $11 more a month on your bill for the data plan for the iPad." I will say, my fault for not reading the bill and new contract AFTER I paid, however, I was in a hurry to get back to my toddler and newborn baby. I was naïve. As it turns out, I paid for the iPad, I paid for the case and she secretly signed me up for 34 payments for the full retail price of the iPhone. I would have paid for the phone since that's what I thought I needed to do. To con me into all the other stuff is disgusting and I've never felt such a lack of ethics. THIS IS THE WORST STORE EVER. Horrible customer service from the managers!! Tech support actually quite good. Manager tells me if I leave and miss my turn that I go the back of the line. Support says that is not true. Other manager snubbed me. Where do they find such horrendous managers? If they train support people so well, you would think they would spend money to train managers in customer service. This was by far the worst expierence I have had at a Verizon location, I walked in with my father( he is the administrator of the account) looking to get my phone upgraded. Jasmine was the associate that came to help us and proceeded to fly through how the process would work. After not understanding the new upgrade system with noncontracted and contracted phones she went to get a manager to help us get on the same page, the manager was super friendly and made sure we where understanding fully what was happening. While the manager was explaining everything to us Jasmine proceed to get on her phone and appeared to be texting. She stated multiple times during our visit that " she explains this multiple times a day and has never had an issue" insinuating that me and my father where stupid. Her attitude continued through out the whole visit making it very uncomfortable I will never be back to this location and will be telling everyone I know that customer service is not a priority. They need to train their employees on what to say to customers so that this doesn't happen again. read more
