He presented all of the many options that we were looking for and didn't proceed until we were completely satisfied. First off Jeffrey intentionally flagged my account , we spoke to fraud and she mentioned he flagged the account for suspicion of fraud . We spoke with them and she did approve the application. Second Jeffrey ran another application intentionally so it can catch another hold which it did . while on the phone, she did get that application approved as well. Then Jeffrey continued to act like he was going to help me and was intentionally scanning out the devices incorrectly. He did so about five times so the application can go on hold again and at this point, the fraud representative said the system rejected it and there was nothing that she can do to remove the hold. He discriminated against me for being a minority in a good neighborhood and last, but not least when I told him about himself, he said he's not helping me at all and he's and I'm not getting anything from his store very sarcastic and very disrespectfully. I have never had a worse experience in any kind of customer service capacity than I did yesterday with Harlyn. Firstly, I've never been yelled at by any kind of employee before. We came in looking for information and trying to trade in our phones and Harlyn waited until my husband had stepped away to yell at me, loud enough that people started looking at us. He told me I should call Apple and have them explain why I couldn't reset my phone, when I was just letting him know what Verizon's customer care department told us. He went on to say he had worked there sixteen years and continued to get loud, when I was not loud and merely was letting him know what I was told and what the customer care representative had notated in our account. It made me very uncomfortable to say the least. Then, he connected me with customer care because he said "there's nothing I can do", then walked away into the back of the store. The representative on the phone asked if they could talk to him and said he should have been right there and seemed surprised and confused when I said he went into the back. I was on the phone for over forty five minutes and he never checked on me to see if I needed help or to ask what customer care was advising. A few times he left the employees only area of the store and stared at me, then returned to that separate room. Finally, he walked by me and left the store wearing a jacket, clearly leaving for the day and left without saying a word to me. I'm truly disgusted by the lack of professionalism, disrespectful yelling, and general horrible experience. Came in here attempting to return my Fios equipment and was met with a blank stare by the employees, who by the way did not greet me and waited for me to talk to them. He told me simply that they don't know anything about Fios here and he can't help me. Where can I return it? I don't know. Do you know how I can find it on the app? I don't know. Like you work at VERIZON and there's no way you can find out or be helpful in any way? He never got up from his chair and barely looked up from his phone long enough to tell me "I have no idea". This is for verizon as a company not just this location. They sold me on the 89.99 wifi plan. Had me sign up for all these discounts claiming I'd only be paying $60 for wifi. I'd also be getting a 200 verizon gift card and a 400 Samsung appliance gift card to be used at home depot. Both of these things I'd be eligible for only after 60 days of service.  For 3 months now I've been paying 89.99  instead of 60.. when I went to get my Samsung gift card I was told it expired bc it has to be redeemed before 60 days that only the verizon gift card had to wait for 60 days - that is not what I was told when they were selling it to me of course. While they did offer a 400 verizon card instead, I don't want that bc I don't need 600 dollars to a place I'm canceling my services from since for 25 years I've had verizon and this sneaky crap is nothing new with this company. I already changed my mobile to a different company because of reasons similar to these. It took me forever to fo it bc in terms of signal, I've never had a problem and was worried about a new network not being as good. I was paying 153 for ONE SINGLE MOBILE LINE which is absurd. I now pay half that and my signal is the same with the new network.  But I'm still extremely irritated about the wifi monthly charge that they lied about and the promotional gift cards they promised and apparently I can't get now. I don't recommend verizon to anyone anymore. Will update if I ever get a response back from them. read more

Terrible consumer experience. Making customers complete their entire purchase on their own phone, and download the Verizon app to do so? Having a "15" minute grace period for the order to roll in to their system.. so they can upsell you on products and upgrade your plan. Overall a very inorganic experience for a customer to upgrade their phone. In all honesty, we could have done this faster at home. The sales pros are useless. The service in this store is terrible. I went in to get a new iPhone and switch to Verizon. The staff member who set up the phone for me did something that caused the phone to not recognize me as the account holder. This resulted in many emails and calls to Verizon, but the problem was never solved. During yet another call to customer service, the technician unregistered my phone and then was not able to re-register it. So now I have an unregistered phone!!! I am leaving Verizon for another carriier but can't use the trade in offer because my phone is not registered. Stay away from this store and, quite frankly, from Verizon in general. This store is the worst...stay away! May 11th i went to this store (Edgewater) to upgrade and switch to Verizon. My salesperson (Denny I think ?) is a thief. Why: 1. I requested the $70 monthly plan...he signed me up for $90 plan without my knowledge. Luckily I was able to change after my first bill. 2. The $200 prepaid Mastercard is a scam...I'm still waiting for the link to be emailed to me 5 months later lol. 3. Now for the worst ....traded in my iPhone 8 64GB for the iPhone 12 AND THEY NEVER GAVE ME CREDIT FOR THE TRADE-IN. What did you do with my iPhone 8 Denny? I'm paying an extra $33.33 a month extra. Where to begin? First of all this physical store is useless if you are ordering a new tv/internet bundle. Literally. After giving all our info and ordering a bundle, we thought we were good to go and that someone would be contacting us within 12 h. NOTHING after a whole day. Ok wtf, let's call them. So apparently there was never an order put in nor did they know who we were. 1st bad sign but fine. So now there's a ridiculous charge for an installation fee for someone to supposedly come to our place and install it. To make it short, NO ONE EVER came and we installed it ourselves but GET THIS: we still had to pay almost 100 for an installation fee on top on an activation fee and wait for 10 business days for the equipment (you HAVE to have verizon equipment btw). So now we are paying 65 a month for 50 channels (38 are public service channels and 7 are Spanish) and slow internet. But do you know how it gets EVEN better??????? After being guaranteed a price for 24 months, they now want to charge us ANOTHER activation fee for moving to another apartment within the EXACT same complex AND raise the price of the "bundle" by $10 for the SAME thing because the month to month price does not apply to this other apartment. Bottom line if you are crazy enough or like to waste money on a nonexistent service and BS fees and excuses, be my guest. We're switching to TWC the second we get a good promo which should be soon. read more

You call this store and they redirect you somewhere else to some sales representatives. The sales representatives don't even if the store has any of the add-ons you need for the new phones (like chargers for example). LoL. This is a joke and terrible experience. You have to pay almost $70 to pick up a new phone at their store and the service is terrible. Went there a couple of weeks ago just to get a iPhone 6 case. I see they have the front roped off with like 2 employees standing outside and like 2 customers on line I figured they were waiting for the 6 since I got mine online the day before I figured I would get a case to protect it. Get up to the front and the employee basically blocks my way and tells me I need to get in line. I advised him that I already had a phone and just needed a case. He then tells me I still needed to wait in line. Really?! for a case! Like I need a sales rep to advise me on a case! The employee didn't even say sorry mr customer that is our policy for today just get on line Went literally a 1/2 mile away to a authorized Verizon dealer and got my case. Nothing can be worse than Verizon. Customer service doesn't work at all. Neither store nor service over the phone come to answer questions. The phone service redirects to virtual useless assistant. Another funny thing: my text messages don't work, and the automated service over the phone tells: to fix problem with your text messages check the text message that we sent to you with the instructions. This location is central but continues to have obnoxious management. Verizon Wireless should audit this location to see how they service their customers. Any visit to this location lasts for hours in wait time whereas the service reps are chit chatting vs. actually solving phone issues. The standard of this store has gone down despite the superficial make-over. The good representatives are kept busy in mundane activities to give rookies more time to build confidence. The overall experience every time is mixed. An issue never gets fully resolved. With AI (hopefully) these stores will be replaced by digital solutions. Ahmel (Manager) and Daniela ( Service Rep) were super helpful when my iPhone 5 was on the fritz and I had about 4 months to go until my upgrade. I got a new iPhone 6 and couldn't be happier ( I did have to get the Manager involved to get what I needed but the reps are limited to what they can do ( so no need to raise your voice as some people in here do) Go on off hours, it does get busy here. Also, parking underground is much easier than trying to park on top level. read more

I would give them ZERO stars if that was an option. We left VZW several months ago because of constant overage charges due to being locked into a pretty bad data plan. Our replacement carrier thankfully paid for our early termination fee and we ditched VZW. Recently, VZW introduced some new plans to stay competitive so I decided to go into the store to check it out. I was assisted by Deny, a store rep. After discussing at length and comparing our current plan to the plans available on VZW, I decided that it didn't make sense to switch back to VZW because we would receive the same amount of data that we currently had (12GB), but pay an extra $10/month. At that time, the manager came over and said that they had a "new promotion" that "just became available." Under this promo, current FiOS customers (which we were) were eligible to receive "DOUBLE DATA" for any data plans 8GB and above. It would cost $10 more per month than what we currently had, but we would receive more data (8GB + 8GB, for a total of 16GB). I decided that the switch would be worthwhile and went ahead with a new account for 2 lines after confirming with both Deny and the manager multiple times that the promo was in fact for double data and that I would receive 16GB. I also asked how the carryover data worked and, specifically, if the carryover data (which carries over for only 1 month) was used before the regular monthly data. He confirmed that this was the case. (For comparison purposes, T-Mobile data stash rolls over 20GB for 12 months.) Fast forward 2 weeks and I discovered that our account only had 12GB (8GB + 4GB) and not the 16GB (8GB + 8GB) as I was told when I signed up. After numerous calls with VZW customer care, it was determined that they sold me a promo that DID NOT EXIST!!! The actual promo was only for data plans 12GB and above; the 8GB plan was only eligible for 50% more data (4GB). Also, it turns out that regular monthly data is used before carryover data, so that too was a lie. (Insert TONS of swear words here.) In summary, they lied to my face in person to con me into signing up for the same data plan that we had with the other carrier (12GB) for an additional $10/month. It's truly disgusting, disturbing, and disappointing that there are people like this. Avoid this place and especially Deny and his manager at all costs. These people only care about their commissions. Do not trust this team of deceitful people!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. Came in and 2 other customers were being helped at the desk and I was the only person standing in line waiting to be helped. The manager looks up at me from her computer, we make eye contact and she walks away from the desk and goes to the back. I wait 10 minutes and a couple walks in one of the sales reps tells them he'll be with them in a minute. The manager comes out and asks the couple who just walked if they are being helped and walks them to her computer. HELLO! I've been waiting here to be helped or was I invisible. A sales associate apologies to me and says I would be helped as soon as he was done. I love when people cut the line and who can I complain to? The manager? It was her fault to begin with, haha to me. I waited a total of 30 minutes for a 1 minute answer....what a waste of time! Just pure aggravation. read more

I just had an extremely disappointing experience with a sales agent--Nikki. To begin she was very short and rude--at the end of the sale she simply walked away and did not indicate that the transaction was completed. When discussing the change from my old plan to the new plan she spent very little time explaining the new plan and changed my plan from 2GB of data to 6 GB without discussing it. On average I use less than 1 GB of data so there would be no reasonable justification for even suggesting that kind of data increase. When I stated I did not want that much data she made it seem like I was an inconvenience. When switching to my new phone she began the back up without informing me my old phone was now disconnected. I would highly discourage my friends and family from visiting this location. The manager Ahmed was very friendly and apologized for the wait. In retrospect I should have spoken to him about my poor experience prior to leaving the store. read more

Ordered an iPhone 6 plus from the Verizon Wireless at the Edgewater promenade and found it was too big plus a few other problematic issues. The manager, Ahmed, was extremely helpful and such a gentleman. He was able to resolve everything and very quickly as well. The staff is great at this store and next month when my husband is due for his upgrade this will be our new go to store. Easier and certainly less crowded than Apple. read more

To whom it may concern- ****THERE IS A REASON THIS STORE HAS 1.5 STAR AVERAGE**** I'll start off by saying I was hoping to once again become a Verizon customer but the experience in this store with the MANAGER made me switch to Sprint the same day. Lets start by saying I wasted 5 hours of my time from their incompetent manager that I will never get back. In this Verizon store the customer is NOT always RIGHT. He blamed both myself and my fiance for not knowing the in's and out's of Verizon contracts which we both thought was his job to TRUTHFULLY guide us through the process. We had both of our phones for 30 mins and they charged us each a $35 restocking fee for each device which could have been easily waived. Thankfully for our friends in Sprint Edgewater ( 517 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020) they were able to move 2 lines over from Verizon the same day and have the process completed in LESS than 45 minutes and waive fees to make up for the UNFOUND charges of Verizon Edgewater store. I will also be going to Verizon corporate, writing a letter to the BBB and a letter to the Attorney General. Verizon should do the right thing and restaff this particular location and also give us a credit or gift card for the bogus fee's they charged. read more

I've been waiting in front of the store for about 25 minutes. Not one worker acknowledged me for signing in, and when I approached dungeons just to sign in, they told me they were with another customer and proceeded to ignore me. I finally signed in after catching a worker while he was walking out of the back. This is the worst Verizon store I've ever been to, so bad that I made a yelp account on a demo phone just to write this review. I never yelp but I felt like I had to warn people. I am trying very hard to forget the horrible experience I had at the Verizon store in Edgewater this past week. There was no customer service whatsoever when I went there with a problem with my phone. There was no greeting, no help, not even directions given to me to go to Samsung or Best Buy's store (at their suggestion) and since my phone was dead, I couldn't look them up myself to drive there!! Out of sheer desperation I wanted to get a new phone. The rude rep there (I should have gotten his name) didn't even want me to get the new phone. Instead he started to try to sell me a laptop, a watch, etc. Years ago, they used to provide tech support in the store. They no longer do that. After days and days of Live Chat, calls with Customer Services, including tech support which I had to endure 2 1/2 hrs. by phone to see if my old phone would kick back in again, I finally gave up and ordered a new phone on line. Verizon messed up my order 3 times within 3 days, including to when I went in person to a Verizon store (Russell Cellular) in West New York. None of my order details were sent to the store contrary to what I was told on the phone that morning after a 2 hr. conversation. The people working at the Verizon store in WNY (Russell Cellular) were very courteous, very professional and they helped with processing the order that was stuck on Verizon's system and setting up my phone, so I highly recommend them. The Cloud that was put on my account prior to getting the new phone did not save all my messages, some very important ones, my contacts are all messed up, with duplicate and triplicate names. i call over there and speak to DAN. he says that they're all out of the new droid phones, but if i care to pay $17, i can actually have the phone overnited to me from the warehouse and have it delivered to me on a saturday. wowza! but no thanks. for free standard shipping, i can have it by monday. i can't place the order over the phone. they need an actual signature. soooo i have to get my sick self out of bed and trek it over to the store. here's the thing though. i just got off the phone with verizon wireless, myself and they said that if i order through them, i won't get the phone until thursday because 5 million people have already placed orders or some shiznit like that. so DAN places me on hold -- (insert jeopardy music) -- i can hear him talking to some other geniuses in the store and making phone calls. he comes back and tells me that he was right. they have 17,000 phones in the warehouse. i just need to come into the store and sign on the dotted line. i get there. DAN's not there. but i do get to speak to RYAN, whose hands are gross and clammy. good hygiene much?! i tell him what DAN told me over the phone and he says that he's sorry, but i was misinformed and then gives me the whole verizon rigamarole. by this time, my blood has already started to boil. i can feel my temperature rising and my tone has changed from civil to outright disgust. the shorter, darker, shinier of the two managers that was standing nearby noticed my frustrations immediately and stepped in to assist young RYAN in trying to assuage me, but could do nothing as they were both incompetent. was DAN there? no? he had JUST stepped out. were apologies going to erase the fact that i had to get out of bed and go through the trouble of getting to this dumbass store and dealing with these two numbnuts? i could have stayed in bed and just ordered it online. shove it up your hairy sphincter. read more

Really poor customer service from Nicky. She had an attitude the entire time, and truthfully was less than helpful. She actually excused her behavior by saying she had a rough day starting an hour ago... Oh, so that gives you the right to be rude and take 4 years to help me buy a new phone? Then, she and another employee proceeded to make fun of a customer who had several questions next to me, and then call her creepy and giggle about it when the customer left! Shame on you, tsk tsk. I'd say I'm pretty loyal to Verizon considering I've been a customer for closer to 15 years. I have been able to keep my unlimited plan by buying my phone out right. Tried upgrading my mother's phone (part of my plan), only to find out that since she's under my plan that it would require me to change my plan. So silly, the manager (Sang) checked us in only for us to wait for closer to 35 min. He knew upon taking my mother's number down and having her show photo Id that I had an unlimited plan. First started to sell us on iCloud gb, then walked away when I said no. Then another associate helped us and she instantaneously knew and insisted that I needed to change my plan. Sang said to do an analysis on my usage but the associate knew I had the better plan already based on her initial reaction. I did mention buying the phone outright but she indicated they charge a $40 fee for doing so and that I'd be better buying it at the Apple Store. All terrible, there has to be a way to sell a customer without being deceptive and shady. So disappointed, not sure what straw it will be for me to change providers. read more
