I went in to get a screen protector for my daughters new I phone 7. I was told by one of the employees that they had a promotion where I could get an ipad air 2 for $50 + tax with the purchase of an iPhone 7. Two days later I find out there is a 2 year payment plan with a $22 dollar monthly bill. When I went to return it they charged me a $100 restocking fee. Absolutely unfathomably poor experience. We were misled about the cost of the deal we were pitched. It took over 24 hours for them to transfer content and data from our Samsung 5s to the new LG phones, and the only content transferred was photos. They lost all contacts and calendar. read more

Buyer beware! Deceptive practices used by the staff at this store. Was given a "promo' mobile hot-spot for upgrading my phone and plan. Received my bill and was shocked that the "promo" hot-spot was on a 2-year plan for $20 per month. Tried to return it, but it was past the 14-day return policy. No help from the store manager, or district manager...now escalating the issue up through the 4G ranks. They may have got the sale, but certainly lost a customer...terrible short-term business approach! read more

The store engaged in deceptive sales techniques. I was led to believe I was buying a basic phone outright which fit my needs for a short term usage. I then discovered I had to make $9 payments for 2 years for a phone I was going to stop using after 3 months. I tried to return the phone and was told they would only give me $4. If you are looking for an honest Verizon retailer with integrity this is NOT the place you want to go. Consumer beware! If you are in the market for a Verizon phone it is important that you know that when you go to a store that has "Premium Retailer" posted at the store you are not buying your phone and or service from an actual Verizon location. This is an independent retailer who has the license to sell Verizon products and services independently. If you have any issues with what you purchased through an independent location you will not have the option of resolving it through Verizon. You will need to deal with the independent retailer. This store is a Premium Retailer. My father is in his 80's and went in to the store with his granddaughter to buy a replacement phone for his grandson. His grandson is in construction and wanted a Convoy 2 phone which is a phone that is designed for those in the military or in construction because of their durability. My father was told that this phone was discontinued. The sales rep told my father that he could get a new phone that "just came out today" and that it would bring his monthly bill down by getting this phone. He also talked my father in getting a new phone because of the "deal" they would get. He threw in an accessory in to clinch the deal. My father didn't even want another phone. He was happy with his simple flip phone but this sales rep was running circles around my dad to where he believed the sales rep and thought it was going to save him money on his monthly bill. I saw my father a couple days after this purchase. He showed me and my husband his phone and asked us to show him how to use it. This phone completely confused my father. After looking at the phone we realized it had internet. We asked him if he knew he had internet (my dad doesn't own a computer and wouldn't know the first thing about the internet). My dad said he had no idea he had it. We contacted the help desk and found out that not only was his bill not going to be lower but it was going to be $60.00 more a month for phones that he didn't even want. They also sold my father a used phone and failed to explain that "recertified" on the receipt meant used. They were told that his grandson would have unlimited text. Not true. His plan didn't cover any texting. He was being charged per text. As well, they dropped the previous insurance my father had for both phones which had full coverage at a low "grandfathered" rate. They sold him an independent insurance from there "premium retailer" location which was over $300.00 that had to be paid up front. My father signed up unknowingly for a plan that would cost him $800.00 more a year then he had paid before he walked in the door (and that is without the text plan and insurance coverage he had previously that he no longer had due to them cancelling it). My father was told he had 14 days to return it. We brought him in to return the phones. They charged him $150.00 for the restocking fee which they did not disclose but were quick to point it out on one of the 5 pages they gave him at the time of the sale. Part of the agreement stated that he would be charged a minimum of $35.00 for restocking fees unless there was proof that the phone/service was misrepresented. I told the rep the list of things that my father was not aware of but it was apparent that they were used to dealing with this and was unaffected by what I shared with him. We were told that it was our opinion. We are thankful that we discovered the problem before the 14 days lapsed. At least we were able to cut our losses. It is horrible that my father went in there expecting help and was instead completely taken advantage of. We went to an actual Verizon location in santee where we received friendly and honest help. My father got his simple flip phone back. His grandson got his construction phone (that was not discontinued) for $29.95. And we had 14 days to return it without a restocking fee attached to it. We are happy with what we got and will not be returning it. But it's extremely important to know that all Verizon's are not created equally. And if you go to the wrong location.....it may cost you. read more

When I first broke my cell phone i was far less than thrilled to deal with the process of purchasing a new one. I considered online and found it to be expensive, confusing, and time consuming, I've been scarred by countless bad experinces at the corporate store in La Mesa and El Cajon, so that was out of the question. Then I stumbled upon 4G Wireless, there the staff and management were phenomonally helpful and the experience i had at the office in Rancho San Diego was far surpassed my expectation in any shopping experience i've had in years. They were all caring, respectful, polite, generous individuals. They really made me feel important. The lady and gentlemen treated my family like we were their own. I was so astonished by the amosphere i can't imagine going anywhere else. Tania and Robert were very sweet and and amazingly helpful! Chris the manager gave us an AWESOME deal and hooked us up with our phones and accesories as well JOsh signed us up for COX communications through that office and they've been fantstic and i've recieved credits on my bill. They always work as a team to make us feel comfortable and they were all so funny and charasmatic. Good job guys. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!!!! Make sure you go to an authorized Verizon store that is direct from Verizon! These guys double the fees that Verizon actually charges!!!!To upgrade to an I phone, of which we were entitled to a free upgrade from Verizon, these guys tried to give us an iphone 4 and a 5 instead of which Verizon said we were entitled to a 5C for free just taxes on the contract price of $199. These guys wanted a $99 dollar fee for the 5C plus FULL taxes on the entire retail price of the phone. We called Verizon right there and they backed up what we had been told. This store said NO we won't do that we can charge what we want because we are not really a direct Verizon dealer. We had already gotten some phones and wanted to return them in 3 days, Verizon said no restocking fee. These guys charged us 100 dollars PER PHONE for restocking! DANGER!!!!! RIP OFF!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE. I had a classic BAIT AND SWITCH pulled on me. My iphone 4 died, it was replaced at 4G Wireless with what I was told was a brand new Iphone 5 for $600. The box said "Apple Certified Pre-Owned" which I questioned but was told by Jessica that it was truly a "brand new" Iphone put in overstocked old "pre-owned" boxes or some bogus story like that. Why would a multi billion dollar company like Apple put new phones in "pre-owned" boxes? That should have been a red flag there for me to have walked out then but stupidly, I didn't. My old phone was dead and I needed a new one! The camera never worked right from the beginning, the screen kept blacking out & I couldn't take photos or videos, then randomly it would start working again for a day or two. After three months of frustration and online troubleshooting, I took the iphone to the Apple Store, only to find out I was indeed sold by 4G a preowned phone (refurbished through BrightStar). Google "Brightstar" if you are not familiar with this very lucrative money maker. Its bad enough i was lied to but I also paid full "new" retail value $600 for a used/refurbished defective product. I ended up getting another iphone 5 at the Apple store but I am still locked into a contact through Verizon Edge where I will have ended up paying full retail value for a pre-owned phone. Furthermore, when my first Verizon bill arrived it had some surprise charges for Asurion Total Protection plan that I never wanted. I was very specific to Jessica that I did not want any additional services added to my already high monthly bill. Well, it took several calls to Verizon to get this monthly $10 charge off my bill. When my VISA bill arrived, it also had a $10 charge from yet another company, TOTAL CELL protection that I never authorized. The salespeople here work on commission and they will load up your bill with every service they can until you discover it and call to complain. That is how they make their money. This place is a retailer for Verizon, not the actual Verizon Store Dealer. Be very careful to look at your invoice and question charges that show $0.00. As these salespeople stand behind the counter with access to your account, you really have no idea what services are being added to your bill without your consent. Stick to the real Verizon Dealer and avoid these commissioned retailers that take advantage of the average consumer. Yes, Jessica was very pleasant and helpful at the time of my visit, but little did I know how I was being lied to and screwed over behind the scenes. If you have any other choice, go to another location. I went in only because I was in the area. I was having trouble accessing voice mail on a older Droid that I recently activated through a family plan. I was exhausted so asked for a chair and was accommodated, so it started off fine. The customer service rep quickly advised me that, because we were long time customers, I could actually get a new phone at no charge - just pay the sales tax. That sounded pretty good to me but the process took too long (any other day would be fine - he didn't seem to care I was tired) and I left realizing I 'still' didn't know how to access my voicemail. They also didn't have any cases so offered a screen protector. I thought it would be free, as he was apologetic he didn't have any cases. NOT. I was charged $25 for sales tax on the new phone and $25 for the screen protector. So, that little trip cost me $55. I'm not unhappy about having a new phone but it seemed all he cared about was making sure I left that store out of pocket for "something". I've been in other Verizon stores and they are helpful and don't sell me anything. read more

I see by the other reviews that my experience was not unusual. I went in to upgrade to an Edge plan as I was traveling and my phone broke. Lie #1. They told me the phone I wanted was not available for that plan. They then told me another more expensive version of the phone I wanted was the only phone I could get and they then charged me $700 for a $500 phone. Lie #2 They charged me an activation fee even though I had a current active phone and have been with them since 2006. Lie#3. They charged me $10 for a sim card that's supposed to come with the phone. Fine print dishonesty. Deep within my multi page "contract" was a clause that stated that after my 2 year plan was over, I would be on their contract for an additional 6 months. When I got home from my trip and had a chance to look everything over and realized what a scam and rip off they pulled, I went in to my local Verizon store and talked to the store manager who was shocked at what they had done. Since I was still within the 14 day trial period, she got the manager of this store on the phone, identified herself and told him they would overnight the phone to them to cancel the contract. She asked for his name to be able to address the Fed Ex label and he hung up the phone on her and did not answer her return calls. With the help of Verizon Corporate, I was able to get the phone back to them and cancel the contract. My refund was promised with 7 to 10 business days. It's been a month and no check yet. This store is now being investigated for fraudulent business practices by Verizon. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. read more

I don't even want to give 1 star but you have to rate it.... Worst store ever.... NEVER GO INTO THIS STORE..... THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND RIP YOU OFF!!!! I just got off the phone with Verizon directly about why my bill is so much and about all the issues with everything since doing business at your store. This store, employees and managers lied to us about everything that day and the following days, up to currently..... I just found out from Verizon that the $672 rebate is suppose to go directly to pay off one of my "FREE" phones??? Not what we were told at all!!!! I was told that it was buy one get one free AND you get the $672 rebate which then you can do whatever with, as it is a Visa card. I am also being charged $28 each for both upgraded phone devices per month. That is $56 extra a month. The hum is costing me $10 extra per month. We are up to an extra $66 per month?!?!?!?! They had us change one of our numbers with the promise of extra savings every month on our bill, which is not the case either. When we asked you and Dylan and Alma in the store about charges and why the paperwork said weird numbers and amounts, we were told, "oh, it's just how Verizon does things in order to get the rebate, that we were not actually going to be getting any extra charges for anything." Myself and my fiancee' specifically asked if anything was going to cost us extra monthly and if my bill was going to be raised for any reason that we did not want to upgrade our phones that we already had and were perfectly happy with. We asked directly if the rebate was for anything that we wanted to spend it on. And even had a conversation about using it to pay for some of our wedding in August with Dylan and Alma, in person. My fiancee also told Dylan and Alma that if something did go wrong with this rebate we were promised that he would be coming in and asking for the $672 from them personally. They laughed and said "oh, no nothing will go wrong, everyone loves this promotion...." Ya right!!!! This is the worst experience I have ever had with ANY phone company..... Oh and not to mention... this store is not even a legit Verizon store.... it is a 3rd party store!!! I found out from Verizon themselves today..... They trick people into thinking that they are a corporate office/store and they in fact are not. This is unacceptable. I have spoken with Verizon regarding all these problems and they are looking into it currently. They all should be ashamed of themselves. They are robbing people of their, money, time and creating a hatred towards Verizon because of their actions, promises, lies and misleading people.
