Absolutely worthless. Why are brick and mortar Verizon stores a thing anymore? They didn't have iPhones in store, they haven't been able to make ANY changes to your account years and just have you call tech support, and their employees are all lackluster in the IQ department. While talking about phones that they didn't even have to sell me, a sales rep couldn't figure out how to divide the total price (which is all I asked for) by 36 months and kept guesstimating somewhere between $15-$35 per month while using a calculator. He bumbled around for 7 minutes trying to figure out this very complex math equation - that I didn't even ask for. Then tried selling me on home Verizon home internet after not assisting the basic needs I had in visiting the store. Absolutely worthless. read more

I was roped in to getting Verizon at a Walmart. The phone I was given was useless. I work from home and have apps as a manager for customer service (oh the irony there). I spent over a year and a half struggling. My husband and I both had issues. My husband drives semi and had numerous issues having to stop at stores along the way. The switch over lasted a month and required 8 or more visits. A store cannot help if you buy from Verizon. You cannot visit just any Verizon must be a corporate Verizon which requires time and research. We went from Straighttalk at $98 per month to well over $160 per month. We did our research and decided to jump ship to Mint Mobile. We paid off our crappy Verizon phones and Mint could use our old Straighttalk phones. I called Verizon to see what was need to leave and told they would prorate any days for final bill. I gave the date. Day of switch had to go to Verizon and get assistance to make switch. Verizon said issue was with Mint and the corporate store had to call in themselves to surprise the issue was Verizon. Then came the threats we would be shut off after we moved. Not happy with my ignoring the foolishness we started getting monthly bills we owed. Today I decided to call and maybe get resolution. My hopes were too high. I called and AI put me in a never ending loop because it could not find an account with my phone number but would not give me a human. After 20 minutes I hung up. I call back a different number than one on bill that I googled. After a circle dance I got a real live human wo wanted to sell me on how awesome Verizon is-Save it sir not impressed. He had to get my permission to look at my account really a scammer is going to call with an issue of a bill. The agent says it shows a zero balance-then why I am holding a bill received today for May through June???? He researches assuring me it would be resolved. After the 3rd hold I got transferred to someone when I told them what was happening then immediately transferred me again like a hot potato. I get another person who wants me to start over. Nope not happening. New plan sending copy of bill with my bill for my time spent doing their job to CEO to be received and signed by them. I will also put a item on my credit disputing Verizon not able to get their stuff together and than a report to BBB. Yep billing for those hours as well. Well never be back. read more

I have learned that 30+ years of loyalty means nothing to Verizon. I was having technical issues (still am) with my phone. Went to this store and was told to have a seat because they were short staffed After 45 minutes no help or an "I'll be with you as soon as possible." After waiting for an hour and watching customers purchasing new phone's getting prompt attention I asked how much longer would I need to wait. I was told curtly "Mam I told you we're short staffed you'll have to wait." I will never go to that store or any Verizon store again! I felt blamed for their staffing issues. Very unprofessional staff and they get angry and hostile when you don't buy accessories or buy a package for the Verizon Internet. The only time I go to the store is if I have an emergency with my phone, this past Saturday my phone was having a lot of issues so it was time to upgrade, and I couldn't wait for One to come in the mail, I went to the Verizon store and the same treatment that I received since I've been with Verizon since 2007 has not changed. The store is run very poorly, The employees are extremely hostile, they push products and services to increase their commission percentage and when you say no, that's when all hell breaks loose. So before there's any responses from the owner about anything, do not sit there and lie to me about your level of service when you train these people to be extremely unprofessional. read more

I'm not sure why the negative reviews as I had nothing but a positive experience here. My situation was complicated (thanks to AT&T) complete mess. I basically switched over 4 lines w military discount & ATT took over 6 days to unlock my phone. My Verizon guy at this store was incredibly helpful. Don. I seriously was in 5-6 separate times and he tried to get ATT to unlock. Then when they finally unlocked the phone...there was a SIM card issue. Store was packed but Don saw me multiple times and came and got me to help. That really meant a lot as I had my phone and three other lines not working almost a full week. I can't say enough how Verizon's customer service is light years better than ATT. Plus I got a year of Disney Plus along w 6 months of Apple Music. The military discount also helps. read more

He answered all my questions, helped me set my device up, and even helped me add a line for my son for almost no cost with a promotion he found. I get you have worked here for 3 years, but maybe be more considerate of an elderly who is unsure of how everything works. I went to this location to upgrade my phone. The salespeople were friendly but selling their own agenda. I know that's how they roll, but I fell for it anyway (so partially my own fault, I guess). At any rate, now I'm pissed and regretful. They provided me with 20% of the necessary information I would need to know or that they should have told me if they gave even the tiniest of shits. I went in knowledgeable about A and they suggested I try B, which I didn't know anything about. I asked a lot of questions. They gave me partial information, but I wouldn't find that out until later. Stop being so intent on selling me a screen protector or an overpriced phone case/cover, and give me actual valuable information that allows me to make an informed decision, Verizon folks. They did identify a phone that would work better for me than the one I was using - IF it performed as they promised. It's as if they give you a box and tell you "there's $1000 in this box and it's yours and you'll love it," but when you open the box, it's $1000 in monopoly money and then the next thing you know you've Hulk smashed the entire store in a fit of rage. They weren't lying, but they weren't being entirely forthcoming. That sums up my experience at this Verizon retail location pretty well. My problems were more or less solved after spending THREE hours on the phone with Verizon techs who apologized many times for the misleading and inaccurate info provided to me by the salespeople at this store. Do your homework before you step foot in the door. Do not rely on them to give you the info you need. Better yet, do your research and order online and don't waste your time with this store. I had a great experience at this store. Went in to get off of my mom's family plan and get my own contract. My wait time was about 20 minutes before being helped (only reason I chose 4 stars over 5, the store wasn't that busy at 10:30 in the morning), but once it was my turn, the entire process was quick, painless, and the associate Leah was extremely helpful. My only advice before going here would be to make sure you plan for what time of day you go, expect it to be busier around noon, I saw a lot of people waiting when I was leaving and I could tell it was only going to get busier. Over the weekend I came to the rocky river store to add my husband to my cell phone plan. He needed a new phone and saw online a free S4 with 2 year agreement. We got there as soon as it opened because we know what a pain it is to wait in line at the cell phone store. The first problem occurred when they didn't have the same deal in the store as online and they made us go online from our cell phones and get the coupon code. Um, shouldn't that be something you offer to do for me as an employee? Next all the issues came. Once we decided to add the line and got the phone out, there was over a 3 hour wait because they couldn't figure out how to add the line. I guess there were a bunch of problems. About 30 mins in the first person that was helping us jumped ship and handed us over to another. After another hour that person did the same. So, more than 3 hours later we left with a working phone, but I think its unacceptable to have that many issues and not know how to fix them. I will say that the people we worked with were courteous and professional but, man oh man, get the computer program together, this should not be that difficult a process. read more

Very rarely do I have strong opinion about a wireless provider, but I had to write this review. I decided a few days ago that I was going to change to Verizon from T-Mobile (mostly because Verizon coverage is so much better). I walked into the store and was instantly greeted by Maurice Young. He said he was a tech (not a sales person) but this didn't stop him from asking me lots of questions such as what's important to me in choosing a new phone. He went on to make recommendations on different smartphones in the store. He was incredibly knowledgeable and he had great listening skills. I have to say it was THE best in-store experience I've had in years. He truly was outstanding in terms of his service, efficiency, and giving me his undivided attention. I plan on writing the Store Manager a letter about him. Highly recommended. read more

No matter what your issue is, you never wait less than half an hour. The sales people are clueless. I arrived at 6:50pm and checked in with the person at the front, told him I was looking to purchase a particular phone. I waited for an hour and was never approached by even a single employee. I checked in with the greeter and was told that I was probably next in line, but still no one came over to assist me with the purchase. Ended up leaving without purchasing a phone. I came into this store extremely frustrated because I received a new phone (that I ordered online) with no SIM card, a case that didn't fit, the wrong type of charger, and being overcharged on my account by $40. Every employee I dealt with went above and beyond to help me and they even refunded me my $40. My opinion of Verizon literally did a 180. Had a service issue with my contract not allowing me to upgrade to an iPhone 6.0. This location said it would cost $450 and I had no other alternatives. They said the authorized franchised store in California had swapped lines on a prior edge upgrade, that they don't do that at this location, and now I had to pay $450 to do it on this line even though the store in California said they could do it for $25O. Left the store and called verizon 1-800 number directly - they listened to the issue and upgraded me for $199 and mailed the phone. Suggestion for this location: instead of saying no, listen to the customer, go the extra mile and call your verizon corporate resources and ask for help. 5 of your 7 yelp ratings are very very low - there might be something here for you to learn from. read more

This Verizon has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a new phone online and went in the store to pick it up. I am on a family plan and for some reason my name wasn't showing as being someone who is a head of it. They told me to call Verizon. I got on the phone with my mom and had her call so she could add me back on since I was no longer showing on there. The wait time was 3 hours for a rep. I asked the employees if they had a way to get to the customer service quicker so I could get my phone I had already paid for and leave. Instead of being nice they said no and then continued to mock me while I waited on Verizon's customer service to pick up. I finally gave up and asked them for their managers name because I wanted to put in a complaint about their behavior. These guys refused to tell me and then continuously gave me fake names for each other. These are grown adult men acting rude and inconsiderate of their customers. I wouldn't step foot back in this store for anything. read more

Sometimes it's a shame a place can't get zero stars. My phone had a myriad of issues - it would turn itself on after I turned it off, the battery (Now the extended battery after the original one wouldn't hold a charge) had a six hour life if it was in my pocket not being used once, it would drop service ALL the time, etc. I explained that to Brian, the greeter, who turned out to also be the store manager. He told me to look around I'm third in line and someone will be right with me. 20 minutes later I get a tech, Tuan, who looks at my phone. After ten minutes goes by he tells me that because my phone is one whole year old I just need to wipe the whole operating system clean and that should fix everything. I explain to this tech that I find it highly unlikely my operating system is responsible for turning my phone on after it's shut off (Sounds like a hardware issue) and my horrible battery life (Hardware issue) but hey, I'm just the customer. Tuan says he will move all of my personal stuff (Contacts, photos, music) to my sim card but that I'll have to download all of my software again, which is fine. I sit there for 35 minutes. I could defrag a hard drive in less time. Eventually he comes up to me (After assisting other customers right in front of me) and tells me that the wipe worked and everything is fine, what was taking so long was moving all of the stuff from my sim card back to my phone. So, being the customer service extraordinaire he is, he stopped the process so he could check and make sure the rest of the phone worked, which according to him it did, and now I could leave and when it was done moving everything over I was good to go. Again... not something I was happy about. So I told Tuan the cold hard truth: I'm not leaving and going home, I'm going to lunch across the street, and if I come back with a still broken phone I will be absolutely livid. He says no problem. I was back in 65 minutes. The only thing Tuan had accomplished was deleting half of the stuff he said I would have saved, and syncing my email to my contacts instead of my contacts to my contacts. Now every email address I have ever sent to or received from is a phone number. My mom, for instance, who has a work line a house line a cell phone and 2 email addresses, is now 5 of the 6200 contacts on my phone. When I walk in, the manager welcomes me back, I tell him what happened and he tells me to have a seat or walk around, I'm fifth in line and it could be about 25 minutes, so if I wanted to leave just to let him know so he could update his stupid list. I tell him that's ridiculous and I would like to speak to the manager, who he turns out to be. I now see why this ship is sinking. He hooks me up with Nick, another tech, who looks through stuff on the phone and shockingly tells me it's a hardware issue and they're just going to send me out a new phone I'll have it on Tuesday (This was a Sunday) and I have to sign some thing saying I'll return my terrible phone so they can recycle it into someone else's problem. Tuesday - no phone. Wednesday - no phone. Thursday - phone. That's it. No battery. No backing to COVER a battery. No sim card. So I'm supposed to take this new phone and use my sim card with 6100 useless contacts and put in my extended battery that dies before I get to use it. I call Verizon and tell them I want out of my contract due to gross negligence which they of course will not let me do, instead they're sending me a new and different phone with a built in extended battery, and would like to take care of 2 months of my bill. I am angry but feel it's the best deal I can get. Then they tell me the "month" of the service they are willing to cover is strictly the ticket price of my calling plan - $59.99. Yet when I get my bill every month it's $105. Unbelievable. I can get out of my contract on February 28th of next year and until then I will be telling every person who mentions switching phones to stay away from Verizon, because a giant conglomeration that doesn't seemingly care remotely about customer service should be absolutely ashamed of itself. read more

This is seriously one the WORST Verizon stores that I have been in. I am only giving this place two stars today because my last experience here recently was "decent" for this store as it has developed a reputation of HORRIBLE customer service! My last trip was one where I actually left feeling good with my mom after upgrading her device and getting another tablet (FOR FREE!) for just 2 dollars more (before tax of course) on our monthly plan. Now that does not excuse past "mistakes". Many years ago when my mom and dad were living in Lakewood at the time, it was a 15 minute drive to this location. At the time my parents were upgrading phones and it was snowing as it was the middle of December. We arrived around noon so there should not have been ANY issues setting up this day. Well, there was. Not only were there issues but not even the manager there could set up my mom's phone that day. They TOLD us we would have to drive back "tomorrow" and finish the setup there!! In a snow storm where our drive time is now doubled! UNACCEPTABLE but my mom did it! Absolutely awful way to treat a customer and NO CONSIDERATION!! I'm sorry but call another Verizon store or headquarters to find out what you don't know and set her phone up the SAME day! From that moment, I have ALWAYS tried to go to another Verizon store. ANYWHERE but this one! Now every so often I would only stop in here to pay my bill or ask just a question about certain charges and I pretty much would leave in one of TWO ways: ONE; I would be steaming mad when I left because I was charged a "fee" for some kind of set up and/or whatever stories Verizon could come up with to make the customers pay just a little bit more. TWO: I would argue and almost yell with managers on how dishonest Verizon is and they would change or "adjust" my bill but still leave steaming mad on how I had to fight for what I was owed or promised! Now, I have always believed two things to be true about Verizon itself. Verizon I believe does offer the BEST cell phone service ( I can count the number of dropped/lost calls on one hand if I lost a finger a two in TEN years of service). Two, Verizon has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! You have to fight and argue with their employees because I just truly believe that Verizon wants EVERYONE to pay more for their brand. I eventually became so fed up with Verizon that about 7 years ago I switched to, what I still believe to be the absolute best cell phone company there ever was, ALLTEL (R.I.P ALLTEL, there are others who feel the same way as I do). My parents decided to stay with Verizon (they are old fashioned people, they don't like change and stick to what they know). To break down this history lesson for those who were ALLTEL customers, Verizon eventually bought ALLTEL. Verizon then, in my opinion, slowly and systematically broke down ALLTEL and made EVERYONE switch to Verizon or leave. They wouldn't even let me keep my OLD phone number from ALLTEL! I had to change my number. Thanks for inconveniencing me Verizon! I have to tell everyone I know my NEW number plus whoever did own this number before me (some guy named Joe?) I get calls every so often looking for him. Now I have to BLOCK numbers. I only decided to go back to Verizon so that I could assume the responsibility of the PRIMARY issues and total bill with my parents so they did not have to deal with Verizon for much of anything. All in all, this leads up to two weeks ago where I find myself dealing with this store once again because it was time for my mom to upgrade again. It is because of this ONE recent dealing that I will give this place TWO STARS and not one. Yay, what "tricks" will they pull today? My mom called me so I was not there but I'm the primary on the account and they cannot do anything on the account with my permission/blessing. This way I can protect them. Well, I talked with my mom over the phone and we liked the deal she was getting. She handed the phone over to the employee. I questioned EVERYTHING. Charges for setup? Activation fees? ANYTHING Verizon might pull. I was reassured, told the "actual" monthly bill before tax and there were NO charges. I liked what I was hearing after several answers and I let her upgrade with a NEW tablet! My dad was there and he made sure to get a copy of EVERYTHING and the employees business card. I still didn't trust them. I later went to Verizon online chat to verify and I have to say it was a deal with nothing hidden from Verizon. GREAT! Not only that, the employee from online chat said with this deal being confirmed, I was able to upgrade my data for free! AWESOME! I hope Verizon has learned from past mistakes toward their hardworking customers and will appreciate them more. In time as well, I will look to be changing this Verizon's rating if they continue to honor their customers. read more

Went here yesturday with my boyfriend to try and fix his phone issues. The first sales representative spent an hour "transferring" his contacts, photos and music onto his SIM card, so he could wipe out the operating system and then restore it. Fine, great, hopefully problem is fixed.... As we waited we watched and heard staff members conduct horrible costumer service; including, calling a costumer a "broad" when she was out of ear shot, greeting a costumer with "gimme your phone" and so on. This was all taking place in front of the manager, who was laughing and joking right along with his employees. To top off this experience, the sales representative "fixing" my boyfriend's phone, lost all of his music and messed up his contacts, then insisted the problem was fixed! It was worse then when we brought it in! We had another sales associate look at the phone and we demanded a replacement. We did receive the replacement, eventually. I have been a Verizon costumer for 12 years. After yesturday, I think I'll take my business to AT&T. Shame on you Verizon. read more
