Very new Verizon Wireless location in Gainesville, VA. It's in the same physical building as the new Advance Auto Parts store next door. Stopped in to look over their iPhone accessories and auto chargers. They have a good selection of iPhone OtterBox cases and Belkin auto chargers. The guy (I think Dave) in the store is rude and feels like a used car salesman. The entire store feels that way. I wanted to buy an IPhone. When I asked what kind of coverage Verizon has in USVI, i was told to Google it and they couldn't tell me. They are a Verizon store! It's really rare that I have a good experience at a wireless retailer, which is why I had to give this place 5 stars from my latest trip. Jeremy S. managed to hook me up with a new iPhone, while lowering the cost of our monthly family plan by 50%! He even did a comparison with the Apple store pricing, and we still managed to save a ton of money. All this happened in less than 45 minutes. I'm still not sure what happened. I walked in as soon as they opened on a Saturday morning ready to buy an iPhone 13. I spoke with a young lady who told me they were running low, but found one in the color I wanted. This made me happy because I wasn't looking to spend my entire day trying to get a phone. After getting my name and info, she tried looking me up in my system, but their connection was down. She committed to calling me when their system was up and we could complete the transaction, which she did about 20 minutes later (I ran some close-by errands in the meantime). before I left, I asked if I could use some Verizon gift cards I had banked. She said that since they were not a full fledged Verizon store, they could not accept them, but that I could use it to pay my bill. (I fact-checked her and she was correct, I was able to add them as payment options to my account, so at least I wasn't out that amount.) I returned and we picked up where we left off. She said that since this was an upgrade to an existing line, it wouldn't take long. She was right, it didn't take long. About two minutes later, she mentioned that they had 0% financing available. I told her, "Thanks, but no thanks," and that I would be paying in full. I just wanted to buy a phone, transfer my data, and get on with my day. Turns out that since they are not a full fledged Verizon store, they have to start a contract, which requires financing anything purchased. I asked her to repeat and she told me the same thing: I have to financing some portion of the purchase, even if it's just a dollar. Again, not sure what happened and why it had to be any more complicated than me finding the phone I want, paying for it, and walking out, but it was. I ended up going to the Verizon store in Manassas (which was having connection problems, too) and ended up spending more than I had intended because they didn't have the 128GB size, only the 256GB. I did not, however, have to finance anything. ;) read more

I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with this Verizon store. My husband and I have been customers of Verizon for the past 15 years, and we have never had a screw up this bad happen before. We went into this location on 9/24/15 to order our new iPhones. For the most part everything went smoothly. We were told by our salesperson, Josh, that we would be called when our phones arrived. My husband's phone came first, as was expected. We did not get a call from the salesperson. We knew it was at the store only through an email sent by Verizon. Now, we were told the iPhone I wanted was in high demand. So there would be a long wait. The phone was supposed to arrive on November 4th. So we waited. I checked my email everyday for a shipping or delivered email from Verizon. I checked my Verizon app to see if any new info on my new phone had popped up. I didn't get anything. November 4th, came and went with no call, no email. Last night I tried to call the store. Unfortunately, they were already closed. So I went onto the main website and found a "My Orders" tab. From there I became absolutely infuriated with what I found. My phone was delivered to the store on 10/12!!!!! My phone had been sitting at the store for almost a MONTH!!! No phone call from Josh, the salesperson. No email. Nothing!!! No one thought to call the person that ordered the phone? How does a phone sit there for almost a month and no one calls the person that ordered it? Isn't that the primary job of the salesperson? Help them order the phone and notify them when it arrives? Even worse, I called this morning before I went to the store. To make sure my phone was there. I had a sinking feeling they had either returned it to apple or had sold it. I was right. I spoke to a salesperson named Eddie. He informed me my phone was sold yesterday and that the order was canceled a week ago!!! Why? Why was the phone I ordered canceled and sold!?? Apparently because I didn't pick it up within 2 weeks of it being delivered! When I asked why Josh didn't call to tell me the phone was in, I got no answer. What's the point in going to the store to get the personal touch of a person helping you if they don't do their job? Apparently this is all on Josh, according to the person I spoke to. It was up to him to notify me. But more than one person dropped the ball here. Why didn't the manager ask who this phone belonged to before canceling order and selling MY phone? Why did all the salespeople there let the phone sit and collect dust? No one thought "why is this in high demand cell phone sitting here without an owner?" Magically my bill gets to me on time every month. And I definitely get a call and email if I'm even a minute late with the bill. They obviously have my number. Why was this messed up so badly? I asked to speak to a manager but he isn't in until tomorrow. I also had to reorder my phone. It's supposed to arrive Thursday. Hopefully Verizon can make this up to us. My husband and myself went to the Verizon Wireless location in Gainesville, VA. We initially went to Verizon in Warrenton, VA, however, they were unable to help us. We are glad we ended up going to the Gainesville store. After the first store was unable to help us, we thought out ordering online. Just in case, I called the Gainesville location. I am glad I did. The professionalism from Kirsta was amazing. She took time to talk with us, answer our questions and most importantly didn't push us into anything we didn't want. If I would have written this review back in May like they ask you to before you leave after purchasing your new phones, it would have been a 5 star review. I referred all of my friends and family to this store thinking they had these great sales associates. Here we are 4 months later and switching to Verizon has been one of the worst decisions my husband and I have ever made. The deal we were told we were getting back in May was a complete lie. When we explained everything we were told to the store manager, it became EXTREMELY clear that nothing was going to be done and these sales associates are not held responsible for their actions. after we expressed what we were told and how we were not told the correct information and we wanted this rectified, the store manager kept telling us "but you got such a great deal!" He kept trying to explain to me on paper and get me to understand this deal, even though we kept telling him we understand this deal you are presenting in front of us, but it is very different than the deal we were presented with when we bought the phones. We never got a sense of "this is not ok, i will be handling this asap this is not acceptable" which you would expect from a store manager. He allegedly brought this up to his higher ups to see if we could get the charges removed from our account but when we followed up days later (yes we were told to call him not him follow up with us like you would think would happen) he tells us they say "there is nothing they can do about it". When you ask to speak to who oversees the Store Manager you are told to call Verizon customer service and see if they can help, or call cellular sales corporate office to see if they can help. There is 0 accountability here. I want to share my experience in hopes no one else has to go through this. If you chose to utilize this location for a phone purchase, I highly recommend recording your conversations so these sales reps can be held responsible if anything shows up wrong months later. Or better yet, go to an actual Verizon Wireless location as there may be better accountability should something go wrong. read more

Our sales rep was extremely nice and willing to help, but he sold me an iphone 6 for the price of an iphone 6s... Luckily, I know technology pretty well and was able to spot the difference within 24 hours. I called up and asked if I could exchange the phone given for what I had paid for and the young man on the phone assured me that my 6s will be in on Monday and that I could return the 6 without any problems. After a very bad experience with Best Buy mobile in Gainesville. We decided to go to a Verizon store. We got lucky and saw this one. From the moment we walked in we felt better. My husband and I will only deal with this store in the future. Not only did Chuck and his TEAM treat us amazing after we explained our experience across the street. They saved us money on our existing Wi-Fi, got us 2 phones and a tablet. We still spent less there than would have at Best Buy and got a better deal on our monthly service. Because of where we live we do not have good cell service and Verizon has the best coverage for our area. We will be sticking with Verizon and as long as this store is here this is where we will go. My husband and I had a great experience at this Verizon location. The gentleman that helped us, Jim, was a huge help with us upgrading both of our phones and he even saved us money. An older gentleman came in the store asking for help with what most people would assume to be basic phone questions and Jim was very patient with him and also was able to continue working on our updates. It was nice to see someone be able to multitask and still have you feel important. You could tell he cared. We will definitely make this location our only Verizon location and hope others do as well. I know the construction in that area is a bit rough right now but it is worth it to go to a store that offers great customer service. read more
