Having relocated, I looked for a 'decent' Verizon Store (being a Verizon Guy since moving from IL). Then I walked into Cellular Sales on 43rd & Bell. The first gentleman that I encountered was Matt (I believe the Store Manager). Within 10 minutes, I had a new phone and 'all the accoutrements' as well as a FANTASTIC repertoire with a man that could sell chocolate candy to a Keto connoisseur. It's not that Matt is a good salesman. It's that he is unparalleled at what he does. Over the course of 1 hour, I had my phone, a young lady that frequents the store had her 2nd phone, and Matt still had enough gusto to answer the phone 'at least' 7 times during the dual transactions. Go try to find that at another store? You won't! I have since been back to the store no fewer than 10 times with a multitude of questions as well as several purchases, and the rest of the staff is almost as prolific as Matt. I now have 2 IPhone 12's (I definitely don't need a 2nd phone) and ALL the add-ons that can be imagined. As a side note, the staff DID NOT force ANY of the extra stuff on me! I bought the items because I am appreciative of ALL their help. If you get a chance, stop by. You'll never go anywhere else to get any Verizon equipment! This was hands down the BEST verizon experience I have ever had. Mauricio was the most personable, attentive and generous helper ever. He made sure I was getting exactly what I needed and left happy. Goose was on the loose taking care of the cell phone I love to hate, and hate having to use. But of course, we all "need". It was great being able to spend time with a human that fixes the problems our cell phones cause. Not needing humans. I went almost a full day not being able to charge a phone. Did not miss an appointment, found my way to places, and actually had great conversations with people not on their phones. One of them while he put the phones away to go recharge. I had a urgent need to get a new phone for my son who is returning home from out of the country early. I told a salesman what my needs were and that he already had a line, just needed a new device (as I let another family member use his phone when he first left.) I wanted to know what the stock availability was and the prices were on certain models before venturing out. All of a sudden, there was another gentleman (Paul) on the phone telling me I needed to "come in" before they could look up my account and tell me prices/specials. Then he proceeded to tell me that there were all sorts of specials for buy one/get one free...upgrades with trade-ins, discounts for getting a "new line"...ALL things I already told the first salesman I DIDN'T need. I wasn't wanting anyone to look up my account - I know you can't do that over the phone. Came across as some kind of car sales technique. Not a good vibe. Will shop elsewhere. My husband and I have visited several different Verizon stores over the years to purchase our phones. They have usually been horrible experiences with salesmen trying to high pressure and talk you into things you don't really need. We recently purchased phones from Brandon at the 43rd Avenue and Bell Road store. Brandon was amazing. So patient with all of our questions. (We are not very technologically astute.) He went above and beyond to help us get the phone that was just right for us. No high pressure. He also helped us transfer our information from our old phones, which many salesmen in the past have not wanted to do. He also made sure we could operate the new phones before we left the store. Understaffed and the employees have tunnel vision. I left after also 45 min and made an appointment to to go to another Verizon store. If I could give zero stars or even negative five stars, I would! I have been in the market for a new cell phone for the last few weeks. I have been trying to do a transaction with Verizon online (due to my travel schedule), but their online customer service is not as knowledgeable as their in-person sales reps. I went to this store today to get a few questions answered and to buy a new phone. I was greeted at the door by a sales rep. Great! He stated that someone would be right with me. I sat there for 25 minutes waiting for someone to talk to me, give me an idea of how much longer it would be, anything. I got nothing. I watched a sales rep checking his email, two others chatting in the corner, and another staring out the window. So I left! I decided to call the store just to see why I was ignored after the initial contact. Matt, the "manager," answered the call. I explained the situation, and he asked me to give him another chance. I was sitting in the parking lot. Nothing had changed in the 30 seconds it took me to call the store. Why was he suddenly available when just 30 seconds before, no one could help me? He said people were training, and there were appointments that got priority. Great! I got that too, but he could have helped me initially and didn't. The rep checking his email could have helped me as well. After several excuses, he abruptly ended the call. It's also interesting when there are more reps in the store than customers, even if they are training Matt!! Trainees are usually shadowing someone or working on their own sales while being shadowed... There is no excuse for poor customer service. Every excuse he made was just another reason why people hate Verizon. I have been a customer for 11 years. Today, I will no longer have anything to do with this company. Verizon needs to stop following along with the new, post-pandemic work ethic of abject laziness and poor customer service. I know this post will get nothing done, but for Verizon's sake, realize that people have connections and they talk. In my world of immense travel and human interaction, I will make sure to tell anyone and everyone to stay away from Verizon. They just don't care about customer service or the customer's time. Just experienced the most slimy retail encounter I can remember. Two salespeople teamed up to try to convince me their old stock of mifi jetpacks were the latest version (and tried to sell it to me at a greatly inflated price), despite my using the internet (a tool they foolishly expect their clients don't know how to use) to prove otherwise. They then claimed they had what I proved to be the newest one, but the ones they were showing me were even newer (2 weeks for mine, 2 years or more for theirs). When I insisted that my internet-supported data was accurate they then claimed they didn't know anything about the model. Either incompetent (distinctly possible) or overtly deceptive (even more likely). Caveat emptor. read more

I went in on a Sunday after being passed around to three different people at the Verizon Core call-center only to be told that they could not help me and that I had to go into a store. I had been trying to avoid doing so because The last time I went into a Verizon store (different location ), I had a negative experience with a dishonest salesperson who sold me a device that I did not need which required me to add an unnecessary line to my account. Thankfully, this experience was completely opposite! Gustavo helped me fix the issue with my account promptly and without manipulating me into adding another line. He was very professional, but also friendly and very nice to work with. He appears to really enjoy his job and care about doing well for the company that he works for. He appeared to be training the other sales person who was also assisting me so I think it's safe to say that the store at Bell Road and 43rd Ave. has at least two fantastic employees. Went in to upgrade phones. Wife and myself waited around for 20 minutes when we got to see some one a gentleman me watched park his truck while we waited walked in and they told us he was before us. As we told them no we watched him pull up after we had waited that time but the employee told us he got there first and we would need to get up and wait again. The salesman there were rude and just plain unprofessional. We left. In the end worked out well as we transfers all my company phone to T-Mobil and ended up saving money and getting great new IPhone X. This was my first and last time buying a phone at the Verizon store. I did not appreciate the pop up charges they sprung on me after I asked what it would cost for a certain phone. They sprung up a $119.00 charge for transferring all my apps, contacts and my photos plus the taxes on the new phone. I was there for at least 45 minutes before I was told about that charge. When I told them to void my order, then the charges were lowered, then lowered again. I felt like I was buying a phone at a yard sale. I was very disappointed with my,experience. Since when did buying a phone turn into a used car dealership. Maybe one of the worst experiences of my life at this store. Lost my phone that day and in a panic pulled into this store. Before I know it I got the deal of a lifetime. For $72 in taxes I just walked out with a $900 PHONE. WTF. Here is where the problem lies. As soon as I walked out and drove 2 street lights my old phone slid out from undeneath the passenger seat. I was so mad at myself, yet so happy as I turned around to take the new phone back. It has been literally 10 minutes. And yet they would not take the new phone back. 10 minutes I'm on disability, I begged, cried and they couldn't care less. It was all about the sale and sticking me with a phone I don't need nor want. The salesman was a ride, the store manager maybe even worse. This store and this staff was a total nightmare. Finally the guy i had bought the screen protector from, who was with a customer, left them and came over to help me. I believe his name is Tommy. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO HERE. Okay, so about a week ago both my boyfriend and I tried using the online service to upgrade our phones. BOTH times it was a TERRIBLE experience. So the first night we go into this Verizon location and Mauricio was a godsend. He literally did everything he could to try and help my boyfriend upgrade his phone until we realized that the online people had messed up his account so bad we had to wait. Fast forward to a few days later it's about 5:00 at night, I've spent all day dealing with the online service when my boyfriend remembered Mauricio. He literally called him and Mauricio immediately set up an appointment for us the same night and took GREAT care of us and they were so kind about our 1 year old running around. I got the phone I wanted for the best deal. The manager there was so friendly and HILARIOUS and we had the best time. I honestly forgot to even write this review until Mauricio called to ask how I was liking the phone and to make sure it was working correctly. LIKE WHAT!? I've never gotten this kind of treatment from a corporate store and they are the ones who are supposed to set the expectations. Do not go to this Verizon location. They are a 3rd party "retail". I'm stuck paying double the price on a flip phone 240.00 for 24 months when the real price is 120.00. They said there is nothing they can do since it's out of the 14 day grace period. I've only paid my first bill. Talked to multiple locations and they all even agreed I over paid for a flip phone and said there should be something they could do but after going in they obviously did not want to help and will give you the run around. They over price their phones and can put the price at whatever they want. I recommend asking if it's a "corporate" location before buying and knowing the price of the phone online. If they say retailer, go wireless, or any other name. Turn around and walk out unless you know the phone is the true price. read more

Honestly this place deserves 0 stars. They are not friendly and have terrible customer service. Don't buy anything from them because they won't back what you purchase. One of the associates sold me a screen protector in January and told me it was life time and i could come in and have it replaced whenever. That's why i bought it. I've been in multiple times talking to different associates because I need a new screen protector as mine has cracked . None of them will replace it for me even tho I told it was lifetime and they will replace it whenever . They are claiming that their policy is that you have to pay 12 dollars for shipping from the manufacturer or 25 dollars for them to replace it . NOT FREE LIKE THEY SAID. I asked for a manager and they said there wasn't one in for two more hours . Ridiculous . I'm out 50$ now for a "lifetime" screen protector .If the policy changed then they should have grandfathered me in or refunded me. super upsetting read more

Now all data, pictures, and contacts are locked out and we can't get it open!!!! The store will NOT help us! When we called to explain the situation, it was basically too bad, so sad! I had called before coming in to see if I needed an appointment and I was told "no just come on in". I have been waiting over an hour for a simple request. Let the employee know I bought a new phone and had it mailed because the store did not have the color I requested and I needed help transferring my info from my old phone to the new device. I also requested to have the screen protector placed on my new phone. Employees were taking their sweet ass time with their current customer and pushing me off until the very last minute because I wasn't a customer they could make a sale off of. If you're looking for decent customer service, stay the hell away from this location! These employees are TRASH! They have no sense of urgency, customer service or value my damn time! Also there was an attractive young blonde that walked in not even 10 minutes ago and is being helped BEFORE me, WHO HAS BEEN HERE FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR! If I could give no stars I would! In Sept I went in for screen protector, salesman said he could lower my bill by $40 AND I could get up to 3 tablets free...why are you just giving them away I asked...since Apple came out with their tablet nobody wants these. Ok, I got 2 (for Xmas gifts). He had me sign paper, he said - this is just saying I gave them to you. Next bill came, it went from $134 to $230!!!! And discovered that tablets are not free, they are actually 2 additional lines on my account! And the paper he had me sign...a 2 YEAR CONTRACT!!!!! None of this was discussed with me and when I went back and talked with the store manager (Chris) and asked him to help I was told- nothing I can do about it!!! My bill since has been no less than $150 and in order for me to have additional lines removed I have to pay an early termination fee of $175 each!!!!! It would be fantastic if the store owner or anybody could help me resolve this and get back all the money I've had to spend since I was lied to! Right to my face!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! So, I got a response, supposedly from the owner of store saying to contact customer service and they would help......i contacted them on 2/5 and was told there is nothing they will do to help since there is a signed 2 year contract, I either have to fulfill the 2 yr contract or pay $300 in early termination fees even though I was lied to about everything and I also have a screen saved conversation saying that since I wasn't informed about all this that I could take tablets back and contract would be discarded and all fees would be waived!!!! Customer service did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is unacceptabe and something needs to be done to resolve this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be filing a complaint with BBB! read more

They did not tell us they were "Authorized Dealer" not a real Verizon store and they charged an activation fee of $35 in the store that I had to pay right there and then with the taxes for my new phone. What they did not tell me is that the fee was a "store" fee and not really from Verizon, who charged me the activation fee of $30 like they usually do on the bill. When I called Verizon the agent warned me that they cannot control what Authorized Dealers put on the store side of the bill but they also think it was underhanded and wrong, the Authorized Dealers only send how much they charged customers to Verizon not what was paid for. Verizon was cool about fixing the fee but be warned if you are not watching carefully placed like this one will try their hardest to steal any penny they can get a hold of. Avoid this place and any Authorized Dealer for Verizon...be safe and just go to the real stores. read more

I wanted to upgrade my phone and really liked the LG V10 and went to six different locations looking for it. One place had it but was charging more than the V20. Then I looked online and found that this location had it and checked it out. Went in and they informed me that they don't have it in stock but could probably ordered it for me. Then they asked me why I'm not getting the V20, since it's the upgrade. After hearing my reasons, they started to inform me of all the good and the bad on the V10 and why LG changed it. They took time to give information. The good and the bad. Also, inform me that if I still want the V10, they'll order it for me. I just wondered why the other places didn't tell me any of that stuff. Then toward the end, Carly even put her number in my phone just in case I needed to txt or call her for any problem. She even stated that I have a 14 days money back guarantee if I don't like the phone for whatever reason. Best of all, she got me discounts that I thought I couldn't get when I went over to the unlimited data plan. A month later and I couldn't be more satisfied!
