Do not have anything sent to this location because they will refuse your package and then your package will end up in a parcel locker and you won't know where it is and how to get to it. This store knew that I was having something sent to their location. They tried to send it the first time and somebody needed to sign for it however no one was available. This store was well aware that they would be receiving a phone replacement in my name, they refused it every time and now it's in a locker and I don't know where it is. I spent five hours arguing with customer service because of how crappy this location is at their job. You guys get packages every day, if you were getting something that you were unaware that you were getting you could've easily looked up who was the sender and who the receiver was. They would've seen I was a customer of theirs, and they didn't do that so therefore now they lost a phone, and I hope corporate takes it out of all of their paychecks. Tried to pay my bill, but Jerry couldn't figure out how to do it. This happened on another occasion with a different employee and a coworker ended up showing them how to do it (no shame in that). I suggested that Jerry ask another employee for assistance, but he refused and copped an attitude with me. Either, his ego wouldn't allow him to ask for help, or he felt like he knows all aspects of their computer program, inside and out (does anyone ever know everything ?). The young man didn't realize that I was ready to purchase a new phone for myself and other devices. (if he was working on a commission, he lost the sale.) I don't often give a 5 star review but Alma, at this location, definitely deserves it. Competent and knowledgeable she solved our complex issue of replacing a stolen phone, changing Apple ID and iCloud access. I'll admit I was skeptical walking into the store as I had repeatedly had mediocre service at the other location but I feel I can confidently come here and receive good service. Whatever Alma gets paid it's not enough. Now the cell service in Hollister? It's AWFUL! We discussed that and she said it's the growing population and Verizon struggling to keep up with that. Terrible customer service on Tuesday 1-24-23 at approx 1115am. My iphone 14 max pro turned into a brick and Verizon sent me new replacement and told me to go to Verizon store to activate it. Cust rep Daniel at 1270 E Park St Hollister CA was very rude and yelled across the store that charge was $50 to activate. I asked if they were authorized reseller and he LIED and said they were a Verizon owned store. So unprofessional and rude to a years long Verizon customer. Would be zero stars if possible. read more

I'm a new Verizon customer, and started my service as the corporate store in Gilroy. I didn't initially know this store was a third party seller when I got there. We tried to add two iPads to my account, only to run into a massive amount of trouble. Their system kept insisting I needed to pay deposits in excess of $300, and after hours of them trying to fix it, I asked them to cancel the entire thing and just forget it. I was assured everything was canceled, and there would be no impact on my account. Imagine my surprise when I got a shipping notification for one of the iPads that was supposedly canceled. The next day I hopped into the app and ordered my iPads directly from Verizon with no deposits or issues within 15 minutes, with two day shipping. When I got my updated bill summary, I was shocked to see it was over $500 (almost 3x my normal amount). I called customer service and discovered the other orders weren't properly canceled, and my account that should have had a phone and two iPads now had a phone and four iPads. The service rep was awesome on the phone and took care of the entire thing in about 30 minutes. While this is a bad review, I want to compliment the agent who helped me. He did spend hours on the phone trying to resolve my issue while I was in store, but apparently whoever was helping him was a nightmare. My advice would be to avoid this store if you can. Go to the corporate store in Gilroy next to Starbucks off 10th. The Hollister store definitely has a $35 service charge to "help setup your new phone", and apparently wants wild deposits for devices that the actual carrier isn't asking for. I really wish I could review this location with zero stars. It's really unfortunate because my husband and I were so excited to join Verizon after long term Sprint/T-Mobile customers. We came in 11/29 around 7:30pm and were helped by Alonso (or Alfonso) and switched our carrier and got new phones. We were communicated how much the bill was going to roughly be and then today when we received our bill, it was nearly double the price. I went in today around 12pm to speak with someone who was extremely rude to me and seemed bothered why I was even there to begin with and refused to answer my questions because my name wasn't on the account. Which we had originally asked for when we switched. He said the only reason our accounts were over charged was due to an "Activation Fee" for both phones which was not explained upon purchase or was in our contract. When I asked about it not being communicated he said "You cant expect to just get things for free every company does this, you need to understand we are busy and if something isn't said its not our fault" My husband then called since his name was the account and then he proceeded to say he cant help him because he wasn't physically there and then said we were frustrating him and he refused to help us and refused to give his name and yelled he was not our rep so its not on him. He said we would need to wait til our rep was working to discuss our contract but he could not give us a time frame of when he would be there. I ended up having to call the 800 number for any real customer service. Only to be told there was no "Activation Fee" and our bill was wrong. This type of customer service is totally unacceptable and the hostility was unnecessary. I hope to hear from the manager of this location and the gentleman with the glasses learns how to speak to customers as well as Alosno (Alfonso) learns how communicate better. read more

They opened the door for me and I was in and out quickly! One of them even helped me out to my car to carry my bag so I can get my twins in safely. Verizon customer for decades both business and personal phones. My 2 yr old iPhone stopped making outbound calls, so I dropped by so they could take a look. After watching the clerks stand around and chat for ten minutes, I approached one for help. Sorry to interrupt. All the guy did was look up my account and tell me it was out of warranty and a new phone would be around $1300. No call to tech guys, no nothing- just "get a new phone" and back to texting his friend he went. I thought I had gone to a used car lot or something. I left and was able to call Verizon 611 who xfer'd me to Apple Tech Help while driving- to the Gilroy Verizon store. Long story short; within 5 minutes of arriving Apple and the Gilroy Verizon manager had the phone working perfectly. I learned the Hollister Verizon isn't Verizon after all- its some sort of franchise. Gilroy is a factory Verizon store- and it shows. Never going back to Hollister- I'll change carriers before that happens. Run, don't walk, but run away from this fake store. read more

There is no reason we could not both go in. No one else was in the store and we both live in the same house. I will not be shopping here, now will I refer this place. The first time I went in they were able to activate 2 out of 3 phones, i left the store thinking they had updated all my phones. When I got home and noticed that one wasn't working, I went in the same day to see if they can go thru the process again to activate it... well... they pretty much said that because I didn't buy the phone there that they couldn't do s%*#t and that I should go to the Verizon in Gilroy, return the phone, then come back to "Cellular Sales" and purchase a phone thru them. I went in looking to add an iPad to my account. When I got there, there were no other customers there and the workers were all on their phones. I was stopped at the door and was asked what I was looking to do. I told him I wanted an iPad. He informed me that they were currently out, but someone could help me in ordering one. He asked the other workers if one of them wanted to help me. Everyone looked away. One of the workers told another" just fucking do it". That made me feel unwanted at the store. The guy that stopped me at the door had to do it. While he was looking up the information he seemed like he didn't want to help me and was rushing through the whole process. I want to give a special shout out to Steven Callahan at this location. My IPhone has been acting up over the last two weeks and today it finally quit altogether. This meant a trip to the Verizon Store and that is something I absolutely dread based on my experiences at the previous location. We entered the store and we were greeted immediately by Steven. I explained my problem and I told him I needed a new phone. Selecting a new phone was a breeze and Steven took the time to explain the options available to us based on our current plan and the offers associated with our plan. It was such a smooth and pleasant process and we were in and out in less than an hour with my new phone, with all of my data from the old phone and extremely satisfied with the awesome service from this young man. These guys charged me way to much for 2 phones and didnt apply my leftover amount that I paid in cash to my account like they said. Almost a 500 dollar bill for 2 lines is outrageous, called verizon on the phone and they reccomended a corperate store instead and I have to say the corperate stores are way better than these guys. Dont let them fool you. Not only that my phone payment itself was doubled and the guy told me it would only raise by 2-3 dollars. You just lost another customer Cellular sales. read more

I just got a brand new phone really excited to get started on working with it had a small glitch. I walk in today I was greated by a nice lady of the name Danielle. I was then greater by a man I think Ronny. Danielle was very personable wanting to help my problem Ronny rolled his eyes as I asked questions. extremely rude! He literally walked away while I was talking . I am giving 5 stars to Danielle for such caring service. I will be calling corporate on Ronny. An older lady, a customer of Verizon, came into the store right now, with a simple question for one of the young men who was sitting here for sales. She asked him a few questions, doing her best to explain, and he could not have been more inconsiderate and uninterested. This salesman sat here, resting his head on his hand, and showed zero interest in anything she was saying. I was so pissed, that I said to the young man, "Hey, you could t have been any less interested in helping that woman, huh?" Worst experience ever with the store "manager" Gullion. Went on to have my X fixed because it crashed during the update. He says he can't do anything and offered to give $300 credit towards a new phone. I agreed because I was out of a phone. I also bought a new iPad in full and wanted to replace the tablet I had a line connected with. Instead of switching devices, he opened a whole new line with a new $20 monthly payment. When I go in, I'm informed I can't close either one, with out a $70 deactivation fee. This caused my parents to want me off their plan so I was forced to transfer all lines to new plan caused me to loose out on the $300 credit of my old phone. Do not only did they steal my X and pocket it for free, they lied by doing things I wasn't informed off and can't get out of. He also added insurance on both devices with out my knowing raising the bill $30 extra. read more

This is just about the store manager in Hollister, California. I have a Velvet phone.. Have had under a year. Needed screen protector. no longer sell so was advised to go to amazon and bring in protector and they would install. I did as they said. A Nice gentleman put the protector screen on. Later my screen always would go black, I had a hard time reading my screen. Went back in and a nice young lady this time said the person who installed it covered the sensor at the top of my phone and that's my issue. She said she would talk to her manager and get me a new one and reinstall. They would call me. Never called so I called them. Got the asst. mgr. on the other end and she said, since i bought the protector elsewhere they couldn't help me. I said I just did what your people told me to do. So you are saying I need to spend another $54.00 and you would put it on? She said she could not help me. But your employee's told me what to do. I can't help you. I said "Are you Serious" and she said "Yes I am Serious". With that I hung up. She was rude and unbelievably uncaring. We have been with Verizon for many many years. Thinking seriously to switching. If I could give them zero, I would. I seriously had an easier time buying a new car. We felt used and abused after our very expensive transaction with this place. For starters, they shouldn't be allowed to have the sign they do as THEY ARE NOT A REAL VERIZON STORE. There are things that only a real Verizon store can do. This place cannot. They are actually called "Cellular Sales". You'll see other reviews from people that assume it's Verizon and they believe they'll get help if they call Verizon with their complaint - so not true - this place gives the real Verizon a bad rep. This review may seem harsh, but I cannot tolerate liars. These people will tell you ANYTHING if it gets you to buy more expensive equipment, a more expensive plan, and over-priced accessories that turn out to be poorer quality than something 1/4 the price elsewhere. They will do whatever they can to get out of giving you discounts. And when you realize you've been sold a bill of goods, it's too late to undo it, and they will not stand behind any of their promises. They keep you there so long, you're tired at the end you just want to finish up and go home, so you miss that the final charges don't add up right. I asked all the right questions to make sure they weren't swindling us, but they lied. And when you go back to nicely ask that it be fixed, they lie about what they had told you or tell you only Verizon can change as it's out of their control. To top it all off, they charge you extra fees and hide them (you miss them because you're overwhelmed by that point). When asked about the extra cost, they lie yet again. And it's multiple people so clearly they're trained to do it. Thankfully I got a really great customer service rep at the real Verizon that was very understanding and got everything corrected and all of the bogus charges reversed. She said they get this all the time - people calling to say they were told they would get something for less or for free (after purchasing certain items) and then find out it was a lie. Do not buy their accessories. Overpriced and poor quality. The screen protector scratches up really easily. Take the time and just go to the real store in Gilroy for your phone and shop online for accessories. read more

So this review will be for the brand new Verizon in Hollister on Airline Highway. Went in yesterday afternoon to purchase a new home Charger for an Android phone. So the employee looked up our information and continued with sale. We ended up paying cash and the employee said he wasn't able to print receipt but would send it to my email. Gave him the info but never received email. Anyways had a problem with plugging in charger so today, Sunday, took charger back to ask for refund. Was told that if we wanted refund it would have to go back on our account because they don't keep cash in office. (so what did they do with the cash that we paid with. Lol) Now a different employee looked at Charger and was able to get it plugged in. But wasn't able to find my transaction from yesterday. . She then asked to make sure I was there yesterday and I told her yes and name of employee. Now she asked me to come back in about 15 minutes so she can get in touch with employee who waited on me. Soooooo..... went back and let her know we're keeping Charger but still want receipt. So now she has my phone number and will call when she's able to talk to the guy and print us a receipt!!!!! read more

I was really unhappy with this store. I went in wanting a iPhone because mine broke and I needed a new one. I told them that I couldn't afford a expensive phone. The man who was helping me went to the back and brought me a $800.00 Samsung. When I told him I wanted to pay for the phone outright he said they did t have anything cheaper then 800 and that was just the prices of phones. I left disappointed and without a phone. When I was in Gilroy I stoped by the store on 10th street. I told them I wanted an iPhone but I wanted an affordable one. They showed me the iPhone SE. it was perfect. I told the people at the Gilroy store that I was upset because when I went to the Hollister store they said that Verizon doesn't make these cheaper iPhones like the iPhone SE anymore but the truth is they do make them it's just that the Hollister store doesn't carry them and they wanted the sales. They could've had the courtesy of telling me that I could've shopped online for a cheaper iPhone or gone to a Verizon store and gotten a cheaper iPhone but the truth is again they just wanted the sales. Thank you voice story told me that if you buy a phone from the Hollister store and you try to take it to another store that they won't touch it.
