Today, January 24, 2026, at approximately 10:20 a.m., I visited the Valkenburg Verizon location near the Pearl Harbor area for assistance with pairing my Apple Watch (Cellular) to my iPhone after the phone required a factory reset. My expectation was simple troubleshooting support and guidance. During this visit, my interaction with a male associate wearing a blue medical mask came across as condescending. The tone and manner in which my questions were addressed made me feel dismissed rather than supported. The issue itself was straightforward, and I did not expect an unhelpful or dismissive attitude when asking for assistance. As a front-facing, customer-centric business, customers should be treated with patience and respect, regardless of how simple or complex the issue may be. Basic questions should always be met with professionalism and courtesy. I am providing this feedback so the experience can be reviewed and addressed. I hope future interactions at this location better reflect the level of customer service Verizon aims to provide. Thank you for your time and attention. read more

We have been with Verizon for over 6 years and I can say this Verizon building was the best we have ever gone to for any help or advice. AALEYAH was amazing she did everything in her power to help and assist my needs she was also very patient and understanding as well as helpful. I brought a friend who is like my grandmother's age to this store, I should have read some of the yelp reviews. We just wanted a new phone and instead somehow we walked out with a new phone line that we didn't know was attached to her old phone and tablet with its own line. We went back three more times to sell back her old phone and turn off a line we weren't aware of, so she can get a credit on her cellphone bill but they didn't help us at all. They kept saying they're going to wave the activation fee but the next bill there was no credit. They also said that it's cheaper to have this "bundle" what a scam!!! I'm so sad that this store didn't help us at all. I too will be notifying BBB about this store. Don't go to this store!!! read more

I Unfortunately had a very disappointing experience! I walked in to inquire about a new phone, as my current phone screen was severely shattered. I was quickly greeted by an employee which was good. After a quick glance at my phone, he immediately told me it was unrepairable and that I needed to buy a new one. I then asked about available iPhone models, he was dismissive and aggressive in his responses, showing frustration when I asked about the specs between the iPhone 14 and 15. His attitude was off-putting; (audibly exhaled a pfft, rolled his eyes, and flung his arms that slapped his sides) made me feel uncomfortable for simply trying to get information. I expressed my desire for a different employee to assist me, but instead of addressing my concerns, he walked away without communicating to his coworkers. Waited for about 5-10 minutes with no further help (2 employees were just standing around in the showroom btw), I decided to leave. I later visited the Verizon store at Pearlridge Center, where I received outstanding service, turned out all I needed was the screen replaced, simple enough. It's clear that the employee at the Moanalua Shopping Center needs retraining on customer service, as the experience was frustrating and unhelpful. He was a male employee on shift at 10:20 am; 8/24/2024. My entire interaction with him was no longer than a few minutes. Its inexcusable to be so standoffish in an empty store refusing to do his job as a sales rep, I should've asked for a manager. There are a some things I would expect in a store: decent customer service, accurate information and follow-through. Some workers have a 0 star in these qualities. Day one: I survived through the talk by a worker. I think he did try to sell us something reasonable so I was happy but reminded him that I was not tech savvy and needed help with the iCloud backup. After telling me about the fee ($30), he reassured me things would be taken care of. As l proceeded to open the iPhone box he said "Oh the camera on this thing can break so be careful" and suggested me to place it carefully on the box. So I do it. Next second I know, he is whacking my new phone against my husbands new phone and placing it onto the table...I immediately held it as he walked away since he was the one who first told me to keep it on the box. Next thing I know, he grabs my brand new charger and proceeded to say he needs to use it to charge my phone while I keep it at the store to set up. Doesn't a cell phone store have extra chargers lying around? Very odd. Fast forward 1 hour and I needed to leave and come back due to my iCloud backup taking a long time. I asked the manager for my brand new charging cable but he even looked confused! The worker that helped me disappeared so it was awkward explaining what had happened. I thankfully retrieved my charger cable after explaining what had happened. Day Two: It was understandable I had to come back the next day as I had not done the back up and it was taking a long time. The point is: I thought I paid to get help with this. I came back the next day, greeted by a worker (someone with a "Marine Corps...." on their name badge), spinning a device around on the table. I received terrible "blah" service. He said "we don't have your phone anymore" and tried to tell me that I didn't need the original phone to get it done. With minimal support, he guided me through the process, unwillingly, as I was genuinely confused. Once he realized I needed a passcode from my former phone, he went to the back and "ta-da!" my phone suddenly appeared. No apology for the inaccuracy = lie! On top of that, he offered no reassurance or normal customer service throughout. He immediately tried to delete the data in my phone moving along quickly for me to press buttons. This was way below 0 in customer service. I walked out immediately wishing I had not come to this store. This is the kicker: they DIDN'T complete the iCloud back up - I had told them I don't know how to do it and need their help. But nope, and my photos from the previous year are ALL GONE. All I got was $29 back from Verizon and missing data. Day Three: Thankfully during our 3rd visit, Chay was empathic and making an effort to make some compensation possible. Nothing from them yet, and I almost feel too nice that I'm staying with Verizon now. For now, we are calling Chay directly to get quality service, and in the meantime I will consider switching providers after 10+ years. read more

I have a business Ipad Pro that got lost. The Ipad had a verizon line on it. So naturally no Ipad, no need for the service. I called their service line to cancel the service and because I didn't have the device, verizon couldn't cancel the service over the phone (45 minutes). They tell me to go to the store. I drive to the store and tell the verizon employee I want to cancel the service and she tells me they're not able to do it in the store, I've got to call the service line. I tell her I did and they told me to come to the store. No response, blank stare, and a look of disdain is what I got from her. Then as I turn to walk out the store, the verizon employee obviously knows I'm angry and frustrated, antagonizes my telling me on the way out "have a nice day". I drive back to work and call the service line and verizon is still not able to help me. After that I try their online chat support. I spend over 2 hours chatting with their AI support and verizon cant or wont cancel my service and all of sudden it just stops responding to me! Over 4 hours wasted trying to simply cancel service. The next day I call the service line and they're able to do it in 15 minutes. Run, don't walk away from this company. My business or me personally will never use Verizon again and I would advise anyone and everyone never to use Verizon. This phone company is the worst phone company I've ever had to deal with. This store has. the worst customer service that I've ever experienced! It was unreal! So I walk into the store and no one acknowledges me for like 30 minutes! I tried asking a female worker for help and she tells me she's busy with someone that had stepped out. There was also workers in the back but I guess they were to busy to help as well... Well anyways, I went in to activate maybe 5 lines and 2 apple watches but instead I just walked out. I'll either try another Verizon store or go with T-Mobile... Representatives at this Verizon store mean well but don't shine so bright in making sure their rundown for prices are effectively communicated to their patrons. I went in to buy some Apple AirPods Pro after seeing that they were on sale ($220, regular $250) online and decided to get at it while the opportunity presented itself. I was helped out by an older gentleman, Reg, who greeted me kindly at the door and made sure I was given the service I needed right away. When it came to completing my purchase, he'd shown me the bill and I hadn't realized that the paper didn't reflect the sale price ($220) as it should have. I went home, looked at the paper and saw what looked like a full charge ($250) and was disappointed that I payed the full price. Reg had remarked that the AirPods Pro were on sale as soon as I walked in, yet did not stop to review the bill in it's entirety. Inconvenience to me? Absolutely. Should I have double checked before I left the store? Yes, that I'll take fault for; but then again, that wouldn't have happened if the price reflected was correct to begin with AND the representative did their job and didn't leave me so confused. I made a stop to the store the following day requesting a refund, thinking I was charged incorrectly, but I'd indeed been charged what I should have. Their price quotes are very misleading and don't give the customer a play by play of what they are paying for. Not sure who to blame here. Verizon in general as a company or this store in particular? I'd seen the same gentleman who sold me the AirPods who took the time to explain that what he charged me was correct, and that their bills "for some reason" reflect full price and not the sale price. What makes it more disappointing is that two other stores representatives who were trying to help me out didn't have an exact explanation for the bill misunderstanding either. It's like they didn't even remotely try to get to the bottom of it and it's upsetting to know that it's highly likely that an event like this will happen to another customer. Whether it's purchasing a phone or one of your higher end products, please make sure your customer fully understands what they are purchasing to the penny! read more

I finally made the switch to Verizon! I came to this location on a Friday evening while waiting to eat at Ruby Tuesday's. I was greeted by Maurice (Mo). He was very friendly and able to help me right away. He explained my options to me, and took about 10 minutes to set me up with everything that I needed. This location is located in the Moanalua shopping center. It is clean and neat. The staff are very friendly and make sure that all of your questions are answered and your concerns addressed. They take your time with you and don't rush you out of the store so they can make commission on another customer. I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to coming back and adding my husband to the plan. Thank you Mo again for an amazing seamless experience! read more

My spouse recommended to come to this location since customer service online or phone call wasn't of any help to see if they can better assist us. It seems like the employee was being inconvenienced and not wanting to help us. All he kept on saying is I'm just taking notes so the next time you have this issue it's already recorded. I went to this Verizon Store to get the new iphone. I tried to get it at Best Buy but they didnt have it; neither did the other one, but this Verizon did, so I came here. The sales rep I dealt with was very professional and efficient. I told him what I wanted and he was able to help me right away. He didnt try to get me to change my plan or anything; he didnt try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciated given the cost of my new phone. He did present me with some accessory packages. I ultimately got a low level package, but I can see how a lot of people would get more. My package included a case and a charger. I knew the iphone didnt come with a charger, so I knew I needed one, and the case was actually for my wife's phone (hers broke and they had one I knew she'd like). As for cases for my phone, I didnt see any that I especially liked, but then again, Best Buy didnt do any better, so I'd say thats par for the course. Overall, I had a good (but expensive) experience here and I would go here again. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I went in to get a new phone. The employee literally grabbed my phone out of my hand to look at it and said yup you need a new phone. After reaching across the table to retrieve my phone I asked about a iPhone13. He argued with me to get a 14 and said it would be cheaper to get a 14 over a 13 due to the turn in credit Id get for my old phone would be more for a 14 then 13 which he really couldn't explain why which made no sense to me. He then proceeded to try to sell my the insurance plan over and over after I told him I didn't want it. I told him I was going back to work for 6 more hours and would it be a issue to transfer my data. He told me he would do it for 29 dollars. I said I've transferred data once before and I'll do it at work. He went back to grab my phone and a minute later my old phone was disabled. I asked him about it he said just turn on your new phone and it should be alright. I went to work and opened my phone. It required wifi which I didn't have at work. It left me without a phone for 6 hours missing work and family calls and messages and only when I got home could I do the transfer. Maybe if the employee was better with customer service and helping the customer then over and over trying to sell me the insurance all this could have been avoided. Being with Verizon for 9 years I was shocked it would cost me 29 dollars to transfer the data. I've never heard that. Maybe it's time to move to another company with better customer service. read more

went to this store as I wanted to get my phone transferred to ATT. ATT told me that all i needed to do was provide account transfer number, purchase my phone outright, and a few other things. Walked over to Verizon (this one) and requested info and informed i was transferring and purchasing phone outright. Info was provided as requested. Didnt even have to walk into store. Easy, was very happy at this point. Logged into Verizon portal, purchased phone ($1200 non refundable) Went back to ATT to finalize transfer of number and service. At this point, i realized how Verizon wont let you go. Now, even though i paid for phone outright, i was still locked into verizon contract (fine print) for 2 months after purchasing phone). I called verizon customer service 4 times, and on all three times, there was no way to get around it, no way to get to a manager, basically, FUCK YOU because you went to another provide, even though you paid phone outright. I was a verizon unlimted data customer data for years... bought my iphone 7 plus from them, and was very happy. After phone was a bit older, converted to a monthly plan for $50 without contract. This worked great, had hotspot access, 7GB of monthly access, etc. I did consult instore to ensure this would meet my needs at the time, and it was a no brainer. I praised verizon. I wish i had not. Now I tell everyone to reconsider, esepcially at renewal. Im not one to read all the fine print of every purchase, I buy a bunch of tech toys. But Verizons lack to provide any help to a long lasting customer has defined my decision that i will NEVER BE WITH VERIZON AGAIN. And, I will ensure that anyone who is looking at joining or renewing contracts should reconsider. Im sour. My only hope is to ensure that this post reaches as many people as possible. I feel that i was treated very poorly and dont even wish this on my worst enemies. Big corporations needs to be more respectful. Ive been carrying around 2 phones for the last two months, one of which, my iphone7 cant hold charge for more than few minutes. This has created questionability in my abilty to be available for my job (i am oncall sometimes) and overall availability. I've learned my lesson and will only come to this or the Kapiolani location. Whatever you do.. do not go to the Pearlridge location. Whenever I come to this one I always get greeted right away and get checked in. There were times I would come and it would be busy but they would keep me updated with the wait times or they would check on me while I'm waiting. This most recent visit I was planning to get the new Iphone 11 pro (mostly for the camera so I can take nice pix of my new baby). One of the employees greeted me and checked me in right away and I told her which phone I was looking for. She took me to the iphones and my dilemma was trying to decide between the Pro or the Pro max. She let me see touch and hold her own phone so I could really see how it felt since the displays they have are attached to this security device. She introduced me to Reg, the sales rep that would help me with my transaction. Reg was able to log into our account and see how much everything would be. I was going to trade in my iPhone X so that would take off $300. He was able to ring me up pretty quickly and was able to put on my new screen protector and case for me. He was very nice and helpful just like the hostess. I just feel bad I forgot her name. So if you like being treated nicely, want great service, and be part of an awesome cell phone carrier then please give this location a visit. read more

Wayne and Tyler are the best store managers I've interacted with; Verizon is lucky to have them. They both do their best to fix problems customers are dealing with. My fiancé requested a military suspension and Verizon documented it but never submitted it leading to absurd charges. They both took the time to make phone calls to Verizon (even after we left the store) explaining our situation. They deserve promotions and raises. read more

A ZERO IS THE APPROPRIATE REVIEW!!! II have had a Business Account with Verizon since 2003. In that time frame, I have had service problems but none have been handled as poorly as this current event. My 9 month old phone wasn't functioning properly. I called the Business Customer Service line. BTW Verizon take note: NOT ALL BUSINESSES FUNCTION Monday to Friday Eastern Standard Time!! I could not get past the recordings 4 times to speak to a person. On 2 other occasions, when I did reach a Customer Rep, I was disconnected. Even though both Reps had my number they failed to call back. On December 22, I drove an hour to the closest Verizon Corporate store. I was told my phone was defective and I would receive one within 2-3 business days. They did carry that phone in stock. On January 1, I started receiving texts that I would be billed $500 dollars if the replacement phone was not returned. What???? I hadn't received anything. Two weeks later, I went, again, to the store. I was told "the phone is in transit. The text messages are pre-programed". I was tired of waiting, so on January 21, I called other corporate stores to see if I could get a replacement. I was told I would have to go to the original store. They were surprised I didn't get an immediate replacement since it was a stock item. I went to the original store which "didn't carry any stock" ???? Maurice (the store customer rep) was quite helpful and did the best he could under the circumstances. He then called the 800 number and identified himself as a Corporate store employee to the 1st. Representative. He requested, a replacement phone to be reissued. This was the second time my phone had been requested. Maurice then realized the phone had been delivered to the wrong address. The next telephone Customer Service Representative #2, was INEPT AND INEFFECTIVE. Maurice did his best but he could not overcome the STUPIDITY AND INCOMPETENCE OF that Customer Service Rep. It took 1 hour and a half to change the incorrect shipping address. That customer rep sounded as if he was on drugs and asked the same questions over and over again without realizing it. He made mistake after mistake. His level of incompetence was astounding!!! I was so frustrated I asked the Rep to speak to his supervisor which he said was "TOO BUSY TO TAKE A CALL"!?!?!? WHAT!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Maurice then told him we would wait. MIRACULOUSLY the Rep ALL OF A SUDDEN STATED HE COULD THEN PERFORM ALL THE CHANGES!!! It was astounding. As of the last visit to Verizon on January 21, they have yet to reissue a phone. IF I HAD TREATED MY CUSTOMERS IN SUCH A SHODDY MANNER I WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS! Update January 31: I had informed Verizon of my current address several times since June of 2021. Since mid-December I have been dealing with Verizon Corporate stores in Hawaii. I found out 2 days ago they sent a replacement phone to my old address 3500 miles away. Today I received a text stating I would be charged $500 if I didn't return the replacement phone. I am astounded by their INEPTITUDE!!! You can't make this stuff up!!!!! As of this writing I have been trying to get a replacement phone for over 6 weeks!!! read more

I swear it never fails that Verizon gives me all these run around's. So I called Verizon yesterday to find out how I can set up payment arrangement plans because we just cancelled all of our phone lines with them (to expensive, no unlimited data & overage fees are up the ying yang) !! But I was advised by one of the ladies on the phone to call the financial department, and I guess because we disconnected our lines the operator on the phone doesn't pick up ours numbers. But every time I talk to an actual person they can bring up our account. Tell me why I called the financial department they couldn't bring up nothing at all !!! "Lance" had said that they cannot find anything in their system and I have to personally go into the store and set up a pin code for my account. But mind you I already have a pin code for the account, and he said that it didn't work anymore. The way he was talking to me over the phone sounded like he didn't want to help me at all. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!!!! So i got off the phone with him and called the customer service dept. and they told me that I cannot set up anything over the phone because I'm not the account holder but I'm on the account as an account manager. I have done a whole bunch of other stuff that needed security approval with no hassle. But what is the problem now ?! I have talked to 5 different people already in the pass 2 days and each person had told me different info, please remember that your company is only as good as their employees. AND OBVIOUSLY IT NEEDS ALOT OF WORK !!!! And my issue still hasn't gotten fixed and I'm still being forwarded to different people and different dept's. read more

Strongly recommend you avoid this place. I received decent customer service 3 weeks ago when I upgraded my phone and plan. Apparently they're only nice when you're spending money because I had an awful time today. I went in to exchange a ZAGG screen cover that had already cracked and chipped all along the edges, even though I haven't dropped my phone at all. I spoke to the general manager (I forget her name but the name tag said general manager), and explained that on the ZAGG website, it says that if the product is defective you can return or exchange it within 30 days no questions asked to your authorized retailer. She told me Verizon's return policy is 14 days and wouldn't exchange it. I explained multiple times what the ZAGG website said, and even pulled up the web page to show her. But she just brushed my screen away and said I needed to talk to ZAGG because she can't help me. She even blamed me for having an unprotectice case (I bought the case from them 3 weeks ago...) and suggested I get another one (see what I mean about only wanting people to spend money?!). She was just generally rude and her attitude was very off-putting. And she's the GM? What kind of customer service environment is this fostering? I will be finding another Verizon store to do business at. This is the first time I've had such a terrible experience with Verizon, so I should probably tell the corporate customer service level as well. No use having one awful store ruin a brand. (Luckily, I called ZAGG, who confirmed that yes, Verizon should have taken my product back, but since they didn't, ZAGG is sending me a new one for free. NEVER attend this location for any reason. There are several other Verizon locations nearby and they are a million times better. I have never been more insulted or enraged with the attitude of the GENERAL MANAGER, Jarald. He approached us with an attitude and refused to listen to anything we had to say. Instead he would alter his stories to suit himself or come up with shady excuses as to why he couldnt help replace our broken item, although we are on our FOURTH! One of his shady excuses included our items replacement for the 3rd time by just switching the old item into a new box. When I confronted him, he said he was not going to explain it to me again, he didnt have time. He also had an attitude which included waving his hands in the air, in my face, clapping his hands at me, and telling me I had to "turn down my sass". I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. This business is a joke and more so, having this person as their MANAGER is beyond ridiculous. This location has treated me with the most disrespect that I have ever received from a business in my life!!!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS LOCATION!!! read more

This review is not specific to this location. Verizon wireless has the worst customer service. To talk to a live person, it takes forever and who has time to be sitting on hold or waiting for a call back all day and sometimes it's not even on the same day. I've used their chat feature, scheduled to have an agent contact me, and even called them and waited on hold multiple times. I don't understand why it is so hard to get assistance with Verizon's customer service?! Also when you get disconnected majority of their staff do not even attempt to call you back. I am very disappointed with how Verizon is supposed to be the best but their customer service sucks. read more

I love Verizon! I used to be with Nextel/Sprint which had the worse customer service ever! I love Verizon because of their customer service. Not only do they help you in store but you can even call or email them and they get back with you within a day! Anyway, every time I go to this store i get the best service especially from Joe and Erica! They are very knowledgable and honest! Always trying to find the right phone and plan that fits you and your lifestyle! This store is always pretty busy especially if you go during lunch time. Parking lot is big but can get full during lunch. Store is kept clean and stocked! read more

This had to be one of the busiest Verizon stores I have ever seen. But I have to say I was serviced quite quickly and it made for a pleasurable experience. I came to change my phone and the person I spoke to on the phone was the person who helped me out. This is a shout out to Andrew. He was very helpful on both occasions and made me feel comfortable, never being pushy. What was awesome was that I came in for the white 16gb iPhone but they were out of it and only had 1 white 32 gb iPhone. Right before purchasing the phone, a new shipment came in. Here's where I applaud him... There were only two white 16gb iPhones in that shipment and he was determined to get me one! He even got like a warning from his managers for rushing in to the back room. But in my eyes, he was doing his job and made sure my needs were met. So thank you Andrew! I'm happily satisfied with my new phone and Andrew was very helpful at transferring my contacts, making sure my phone worked and taking care of business quickly. Their customer service was great. Javier was polite and courteous. He had a keen sense of what my needs were and led me to the right products that fit my needs. The employees were very personable and friendly. It was a bit of a wait though since I came in at a busy time. Having been with Verizon since 2005, I am satisfied with the service. This visit, I came to upgrade my phone to the Galaxy S5. I had just gotten a new phone back in August but I really wanted the S5. After waiting for 45 minutes to actually receive some help, I was able to upgrade my phone as part of the verizon edge program. This location is located smack dab in the middle of military central. Not a bad thing but this location is usually always crowded and super busy. The staff, to their credit, were super nice and friendly just very busy. This place will get the job done but if you are in a hurry, try and go elsewhere. Your patience will thank you for it. read more

The store is clean and a good size. The employees are generally average, with a few being great. They seem really focused on the upsell which as a manager is a wonderful thing, but as a customer is quite annoying. They tend to brush my problems off saying "try this and if it doesn't work, come back later," and I always wind up coming back. I would just like my problems taken care of the first time I come in. Also, the store is very busy, but they never seem fully staffed. They can obviously afford it with the amount of business they have, so why isn't there a person at every station? The wait time is pretty long and the female manager is not helpful and somewhat combative. We signed up for a new plan but then I couldn't get my old number transferred because of VW policies.. (You have to be an account manager to take a number of an account.. Their website was down so my mom couldn't add me as a manager and they wouldn't except her verbal approval.) I've had the same number for 10+ years and wasn't about to have it change.. They state it is to avoid fraud but it wasn't like I was adding a number to a pre-existing account. Again, this is where the female manager was unhelpful.. Although the new employee helping us was nice and was very apologetic, he messed up multiple times.. Activated and transferred number to the wrong new phone and had to preform 2+ credit card transactions because he forgot to do something the first time. We spent multiple hours on two different days just to get everything straightened out. The reason for the 2nd star is that they do offer a military discount if you provide you LES ( I believe it is 10%) and the 2nd manager that helped us actually had his stuff together and got things straightened out. I will say that if I could remember the female manager's name I would report her to the cooperate office due to her lack of people skills and combativeness. read more
