An extra service was added on my bill that took me an additional hour to resolve. There are a number of reviews here with similar experience of additional charges/services being added. AVOID this store if possible. Deceptive and shady associates. Went in to upgrade our phones awhile back. Was told the new phones would cost "x". When we received our monthly invoice from my carrier, the phones actually costed "x+10" per line. I don't care about the $10; I was more perturbed that it wasn't explained to me. Also, in our invoice, the associate decided to add some protection insurance plan for each line to our account without my knowledge. That was another $35. Thank goodness my carrier was able to credit back the charges and take that off. Save your the hassle and go to another store! read more

They convinced me to buy a lifetime screen protection for my phone, which I paid out of good faith. My mistake was that I didn't keep the receipt. But who keeps receipts these days? I would think they would have an electronic copy of my payment anyway. So thumbs down for this branch for losing my transaction record and for denying that I paid for this protection. Purchased a phone from Verizon's website. Received notice the phone was ready. Went to pick up my order, I showed the clerk myID in the form a drivers license, I had my existing phone but I did not know my pin. When interacting with verizon they just use message verification to your email or phone to verify you, not a "pin". The clerk was very not helpful, even though I could show him everything else about my account. He would not give me my phone I paid for. Your better off doing things online and talking to customer service over the phone, these guys don't know anything other than what their screen tells them to do. Stood inside the store for 20 minutes before leaving because both employees completely ignored us. Zero courtesy, not even a hi, we'll be right with you, or anything like that... which is the standard at other Verizon stores. Half of that time today, two customers being served at the counter were speaking to each other trying to look for a good price on a device, and the Verizon lady just stared at them without acknowledging us/the other two customers waiting in line. That down time would have been a great time to say something even if it's to say "we'll be with you after we're done here." No effort to say anything when we started walking towards the door too. But I was eating at Garbanzo when it happened again and the cashier recommended me to come. Bottom line. Bryan is a Genius. He has the magic touch, I literally gave him my phone for two seconds. And he magically made my phone turn on. He also sold me these awesome screen protectors that have a life time warranty. And he let me know about current promotions. Which is pretty awesome because usually when I go to the spectrum if I'm not buying something then they want me to call customer service which I don't think is right. Bryan was genuine with his help and his pitch regarding the screen protector. Which was 30 bucks. A lil expensive for my taste, but I can't argue with a life time warranty. Last week, I went to Verizon store with my friend to get information about switching to Verizon line. There were four employees in the store, and they were so welcoming and willing to give information about switching the lines and phones. First, I was told that when you give your previous phones back to Verizon , we would receive an $500 discount on our new phones. It was a good deal and would work for my family. I told them that I would come back with my family to start process. Because my daughters' schedule does not fit all the time with my schedule. I was told that" if you come with your family in a same day, then the process will be faster". The employees told me that " ohh of course you can come back to get the promotion next week too". We agreed about the date with them. Then, today (December,8) I decided to go Verizon with my family. There were different employees in the store except two of them. When I started to talk with employees again, I got shocked, because none of them provided the same information about those deals and promotions. This is so UNPROFESSIONAL for the Verizon company. They told me that "we don't have those deals and promotions anymore". This was ridiculous, because we agreed on the deal a few days ago. They did not tell us anything about due date in promotions. VERIZON COMPANY SHOULD INFORM THEIR CUSTOMERS ABOUT DUE DATES AND NEEDS TO TRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES ABOUT PROMOTIONS!!!! Also, they were not welcoming and their behavior was annoying. I came from the other side of Irvine to have this gentleman help me with my upgrades and explain the appropriate plan for my family. I walked in and a nice gentleman by the name of Darryl helped me and my kids get all new iPhone 13 and fully explained the charges to detail. I ordered my white iPhone 5s & it took about 3 days for it to arrive & they called me first thing in the morning [well like 10, but that's early to me ;)]! I had my worst Verizon experience last night because of a dishonest sales associate Jacob at this store. I was literally tossed back and forth like a basketball for 3 hours before the issue was resolved. First I want to point out that this Woodbury store is a licensed Verizon retailer NOT a Verizon store. So consumers cannot take any recourse against Verizon when the store turns out irresponsible and deceitful. The store looks exactly like a Verizon store. The only difference is the fine print after the Verizon logo on the sign that states "retailer." I learned this a hard way ~ hopefully no one else would repeat what I'd been through. The sales associate Jacob found out my brand new, freshly out of box iPhone 5 was defective ~ the home button does not work. Instead of going through the exchange procedure, he told me that the store was out of stock of the white model. The store was out of stock of the white model last week. I ordered mine via the store and waited 4 days. Because of this preexisting status, I believed Jacob that within 1 day, the store ran out of their most recent receipt of the white model. Jacob then told me the fastest way to get my iPhone replacement is to go to the Apple store located in Irvine Spectrum claiming the warranty. I went to the Apple and found out because I did not purchase the phone from them, even though the phone was freshly out of box, the technician would rather exam and repair the phone instead of giving me a new one. On top of that, because I arrived within 1 hour before their close time, they were not able to help me but I had to schedule an appointment and come back whenever the next appointment is available. The sales also told me that there is a Verizon store in Irvine Spectrum, my chance of getting this resolved tonight is higher with them. So I went to the Verizon store at Irvine Spectrum and found out the difference between the real Verizon store and a licensed retailer. They told me these licensed retailers are completely independent and Verizon is not responsible for them. Of course just like the Apple store, they were not willing to clean up the transaction for a third party and told me my highest bet was to go back to the retailed store. At that point, I was drained after running around like a headless chicken for 2 hours and decided to settle for the black model. I went back to the retailed store at Woodbury and was received by another sales associate who first confirmed the out of stock story. When I told him I was ready to settle for the black model, he knew there was no way to avoid the exchange, so he went to the inventory room and guess what...he came out with a white model!!! I spent another hour configuring the new phone and ended my 3-hour ordeal. It would have been an easy fix if Jacob was not lazy and stealthy about doing the exchange. Instead I suffered and wasted 3 hours. Again hopefully no one else would go through what I'd been through. read more

I read the older reviews and let me assure you the manager must have changed. The physical description does not match what was described and the service the new manager provided was absolutely awesome. ALL 4 reps were more helpful and knowledgeable than the Corporate store at the Tustin Marketplace or in the Mall. They collaborated, answered all of my questions (I was a first time smart-phone buyer) and gave legendary customer service. If they didn't know the answer about a small detail, they just asked another staff member who did know. Good teamwork! I am so glad I came into this store. They knew the differences of each model, the pros and cons and recommended a phone based on MY needs. Not only did they provide a phone, UNLIKE Corporate, they were willing to transfer all of my pictures and contacts (not just my contacts like Tustin Marketplace stated they were only willing to transfer). With the Mini S4 a newer model, there were not many cases available. The manager went out of his way to call other stores and look up other places that may have the Trident or Otterbox for it. He offered to get his rep to stock more of the Tridents that I wanted, but when i told him I wanted it soon, he was honest and upfront and told me I would get it quicker from amazon. He even looked up the amazon price for me and looked up the comparisons of the Trident vs Otterbox on the computer for me!!! They go the extra mile by letting me sample the different cases on the phones they have. They put it on, off, on off, switched to another brand or model and let me model them all over again. Any questions I have on the phone, I simply call in or stop in and they tell me how to accomplish what I want on my new phone. Each of the young men were exceptionally customer focused, respectable, and represented the store and company well! My family and I will ONLY go to this store for any of my wireless needs again. Plus, it is not crazy busy like it is at Tustin Marketplace and the staff are 10 times more knowledgeable about the different phones and 100 times friendlier. read more

My biggest mistake in walking into this store was not realizing that this is not a corporate store. The one star is for the store manager who is young, blond and did not have the customer service skills that I am use to at a corporate store. His attitude needs major adjustment. Perhaps because of his age, he came across fulsome and highfalutin, which I don't understand why. He was bragging to a few friends in the store that he opened 10 stores in a short time for the owner. Despite the store manager, I will give BIG KUDOS to the other sales associate. I can't recall his name but he was also young, skinnier (brown hair). He was very helpful, nice and sweet. He was trying his best to help me with my defective cell phone but unfortunately didn't have the resources to help. Regardless he had the right attitude and at least tried to help. Sorry to have to update this in this way but after a great experience switching over to Verizon, my first 4 months has been awful. First is the signal we get in our home is terrible (3G or 1x). We experience dropped calls, failed text, slow downloads, etc. When dealing with customer service they just want to sell us more equipment. When I say I think they should provide me with this equipment at no charge they give me the Verizon company line "Sorry, but we can't to anything else for you". I feel I was misled by the sales persons and now am stuck. Verizon is very accommodating when signing you up, but after that you're at their mercy. Avoid this store. I honestly have never been so disappointed with customer service before stepping into this store. All employees are unprofessional and looking to scam you. I was not previously signed up for Verizon and was eager to sign up but this store made my experience dreadful. If possible, I highly would recommend you skip this store and go to an ACTUAL Verizon store. Not too mention, the assistant manager, Jackson, was cursing in front of me while I was in the store. He did not curse at me, but to use that language in front of your customers is saddening. I signed up on the day of my visit in order to get a offer if you trade-in your phone you would get $300 off. The next day the store called me informing me I would not be getting the offer.... I expressed how upset I was because before leaving the store I repeatedly asked to guarantee I would get the offer. One store representative, John, wrote down his personal phone number and swore everything was taken care of. He said if I had an issue to call him. Yet the VERY next day he calls me and tells me something entirely different. Even when I expressed my frustration and concerns they would not help me. I was tired of their actions and so I went ahead and contacted corporate Verizon myself and explained the situation. They helped me resolve all my concerns and fixed the mess that GoWireless made. Horrible service and misrepresentation by the Hispanic female staff who persuaded us to buy a latest iPhone with a trade-in of $100 for our Android phone. She told us several times that she would give $100 credit for the trade-in and that the phone would arrive no later than 3 days, and that she would call us as soon as possible when the phone arrived. First, the phone took over one week to arrive, which I verified through my MyVerizon App. I received no call from this Verizon store or her. When I went into their store today, they did not know why we came in but got the new phone which arrived. The Hispanic female staff then looked at our old Android phone and told us she cannot give $100 trade-in credit because the phone is cracked. We told her the phone was cracked slightly even when she looked at our phone before, and she told us she did not look at the phone carefully. I asked her what about the contract we signed, and she said there was no contract. It sure looked like a promise to me to order a new phone with a price breakdown. I told her she misrepresented and is going back on her word and that we could have gotten a new iPhone 10 days ago from somewhere else for the same price, and she kept on repeating there was no contract and she didn't look at the phone. I canceled whatever we signed and got the heck out of there. It's the worst service I have ever encountered from any Verizon store. I am going to file a formal complaint with Verizon and take steps to cancel Verizon and switch to another company. I can promise you I will never step inside this Verizon store again. Liars and terrible service. P.S. Here is what the staff should have done, and I believe the reason why she did not take these steps was to "hook us" into signing and having to buy the iPhone under the changed facts. 1. Any reasonable staff would and should have looked carefully at the trade-in phone before telling us several times that she will give a credit of $100 before printing out a break-down and ordering a phone. For example, when we went to Apple store after this incident, the guy carefully looked at our trade-in phone. The fact that the staff didn't even glance at the trade-in phone (which she kept on telling us) is plain unprofessional. I can only think that she told us she would give us $100 for the trade-in phone, so we will sign up with her. 2. She knowingly misled us in telling us that the iPhone would arrive no later than 3 days. Note that I am not complaining that it took long time for iPhone to arrive, but my complaint is that she knowingly lied to us. How do I know that she lied to us? MyVerizon App said clearly that the order could not be shipped out until many days later, so there was no way the Verizon staff would not have known that. It's obvious that their tactic is to lie to you and get you hooked in and have to buy the iPhone you ordered. This is a deceptive practice in my opinion which Verizon management should look into. After this incident, I went to Apple store and bought iPhone directly, which I could have done two weeks ago because they had the phone we wanted even back then. They actually treated you like human beings and didn't lie to us. All I ask from Verizon is that they don't engage in this kind of deceptive business tactics. read more

Ignore the negative reviews!! this Verizon Store is one of the best I have been to and I have been to a lot of stores in south county... I have been with Verizon for over 18 years.. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 6 and had an issue with transferring my data to my new phone.. the Manager Josh Rojas is by far the most helpful Verizon employee I have ever met. He went above and beyond his job to make sure my new iPhone was backed up properly. He's knowledgeable and truly knows what it takes to make a customer happy. He works with complete integrity and is a true asset to Verizon. His other employees were very helpful as well.. Ahmed and the other employee were also very attentive to their customers. I will definitely return to this store for my Verizon needs.. they offer exceptional customer service and are all extremely knowledgeable with all their phones. They all really seem to "want" to be there and that makes a difference. Highly recommend this store for any of your Verizon needs.. you will not be disappointed... read more

Wow. The most unprofessional retail shop I've been to. The first time, I went in to get my kids Gizmo watches in early Jan. It looked like Aaron was new and still learning the ropes, while Jae was training on the side. After an hour of trying to activate and syncing the watches, I was pawned off to Mitch (unfortunately he was the only good thing about the store, but he's no longer there) who still couldn't get the watches synced and activated properly. I had to go and pick up pizza to take home, but Jae and Aaron offered to go get it from First Class around the corner for me...if they could each take a slice of my pie. Fine, whatever. My kids ended up wanting to upgrade their Gizmo's, so I go into the store (within 5 days) and ask to have them order new ones for me. It'll be in early next week they say. I call early the following week, and there's no order in place. Okay, please order them again. A week and a half later, they finally arrive after I call multiple times to ask the store. Carla was the one that helped me...again, she looked new to the store as well. She activates my new lines, tells me she'll cancel my old Gizmos lines since now I have 4 watches (don't ask about why I have 4 watches for my 2 kids...another reason for the 1 star). Fast forward to end of March and I'm asking why my bill is so high. They help me call customer service, we wait for over 30 mins listening to elevator music and Aaron says he'll call for me the next day since Verizon customer service isn't picking up. Wow, thanks..that would be great service. 1pm the next day, no call from Aaron, so I call him and he says he hasn't had the time yet. I get a call a hr later and he said ok...here's why your bill is so high: "You were on this lower plan, but somehow it switched to this higher plan. I'm not sure why or who did it, but it wasn't me. And Carla told me she said you had to cancel your own lines." Thanks, but that doesn't really help me. Who switched my account to a different plan? And no, that's not what my conversation with Carla was. I said. "Well, what do you want me to say? I've spent my time dealing with this for you, and I'm not customer service. That's why there's a department called customer service. You are disrespecting me when I was trying to help you." I'm so done with this store.
