I Had Verizon as my 1st mobile phone and service for more than 20 years. Decent service, BUT the monthly costs kept rising until I'm paying $250 a month for 2 phones and 1 hotspot. I sent them 5 emails and texts asking how to lower my monthly bill, with their Advertised 1st responder discount. After waiting 3 months with ZREO response, I checked out Tmobile. T mobile gave me a $99 a month rate for my same phones and hotspot. They Also gave me $860 to pay off my phones And Verizon... Verizon has gotten Too Big to care about long time customers... I was there today. My phone and iPad were not synched for almost a year although I was paying for both. Last straw was all my important info wiped out to nowhere. I couldn't find it. I went to Verizon and Toni helped me. He was excellent. Patient, knowledgeable and apparently very savvy since three different employees came about five different times to ask him 'how to' for their clients. He always answered nicely and patiently. A Wireless is the Verizon Wireless kiosk in the bottom level of Queen Kaahumanu Center across of Victoria's Secret. We were there the other day to inquire about switching carriers (i was always against Verizon), and the manager, Des, was friendy and so knowledgeable, she came back at me with answers to every question that I had. We dealt with her for 2 days, and not once did she give any attitude, so we made the switch. They had the phones that fit our wants. Due to our previous carrier issues, the switch did take longer than it should have, but after all that's been said and done, we are happy. read more

Never had such a bad experience at this location in the 10+ years with Verizon, until yesterday. Walked into the store already knowing what phone I wanted and all the extra things I didn't want. Hayze helped me and immediately showed me a phone I didn't want and trying to upgrade me to a bigger data plan and so on. I admit he was very polite at first and gave me tons of information about the phones and plans. But every time I told him I didn't wanna go with the phone he suggested he started to get real pushy and edgy with me. I turned down getting a larger gig phone because I didn't need it. I turned down the higher data plan because I don't use much data, I didn't need accessories because I already purchased them online for a better price and I turned down the extended warranty plan on the phone because I'm very careful with my phone. He got more and more frustrated with me every time I turned down something. He ended up saying, "you don't trust me do you?" in such s snotty tone. I mean really???? What does all this have to do with trust?! I told him what I wanted in the first place and I'm sorry I didn't buy into all the upgrades. I still like Verizon as a company but would not recommend "Hayze's" service at all!!!! read more

I just left the Verizon store in tears. After trouble shooting a storage problem in which I had to purchase a 50$ back up device to hold my photos, I had several concerns when I was told I would have to manually delete 4000 pics off my phone, like one at a time. I asked for a second opinion because I can not believe my new I phone is this inefficient. It didn't seem to me the clerk was familiar with the app, and kept deleting apps left and right, including my Facebook! The next clerk to help me told me the phone I have is only for "old people who only want to talk and text all day." I responded by saying this was the phone that this store recommended for me just several months ago as an upgrade! To which she responded "I would never have recommended this phone to anyone and I don't appreciate you lumping me under 'them' we are all independent contractors." How the hell am I supposed to know that?!? I was stunned by her callous, indifferent, totally unprofessional attitude in dealing with a CUSTOMER who understands very little about these insipid phones, and therefore takes hours on a day off to have her problems addressed in person. So I got my note 5 and ordered a glass screen protector for it. Well my screen came in and wanted it installed. So this white chick offered to do it and she was done in asked her does it suppose to look like this where the screen protector is lifting along the edges. She replied yes. NOT THE ANSWER I WANTED TO HEAR. Told her there's a lint also she replied "I will be doing this all day and still will get the same result. And she walk off. So I asked another rep. And he was kind enough to take out the lint and that white chick saw him doing it and told him it's how the screen is. And he replied there was a lint.and she just walk away. But oh no, I've got to go through three people, one at the front and two in the back, to purchase a cord and then they have to run around and try and get me a receipt. Are you kidding me?? I've been a customer of Verizon for 20+ years in California and now Maui. I have never switched because I think Verizon has the best coverage which means fewer dropped calls. My #1 reason that I stick with Verizon is they have hands down the best customer service. I lost my phone last night and I walked into Verizon this morning and Charles was able to upgrade my phone, install a screen protector, install all my old contacts from the cloud, reinstall all my old apps, set up my phone to back up all my photos and contacts, and helped me set up all the new features on my new IPhone 6. Charles was patient and a pleasure to work with. I've also been helped by Greg in the past who used to help me in Oceanside Ca (small world) and he has always been great as well. Don't leave the establishment without checking out your equipment thoroughly. Once you leave their doors, they will tell you sorry, we can't help you. My niece upgraded her phone, 2 year contract...has been with Verizon for a while on a family plan. The service rep, Jenny, applied the screen shield to her new phone. Upon inspecting it closer the shield was placed on the glass crooked and on the metal lip of the phone which left a significant air gap in several places. She went back to the store to ask Jenny to fix the issue. Jenny refused. If the Verizon staff are not capable of doing this "courtesy service" correctly, don't offer to waste the customers money on something that will have to be repurchased and redone. I've been to this Verizon many times before. My previous experiences have been very positive, except this time. Stopped in to buy a new charger. Door man pointed out where I could find them. Found it. Went to pay for it...there are no longer reps that help. Went to registers in back, unfortunately you can't pay for anything back there. They pointed out a kiosk for me to pay. I think its absolutely absurd that the verizon workers are quick to want to make a sale but when you go back into the store and ask any of them how to use the product you are told "I don't know", "I don't have that device" or "you have to watch you tune videos to find out how to use that". Wtf? I preordered a new galaxy note. The salesperson was super nice upon our initial visit and said how great the phone is . We waited a couple weeks for it to he release and arrive and it was confusing as f*** coming from an iPhone to an android and also with the particular device having a lot of annoying issues that were not properly engineered. After you tube and Google were unhelpful I physically drove to this verizon store three times to ask for help. I was brushed off by several workers with an, "I don't know " and they literally walked away to assist other customers who were there to make purchases and other workers who told me they have the iphone so they can't help me . What happened to TRAINING THE EMPLOYEES on product knowledge of every product sold?! They should have had TRAINING videos and they should've watched you tube and had manuals or whatever they needed to then be able to assist customers with the purchase they so wanted to make the sale on. This store was full of unknowledgable staff who seemingly do not even care. One guy worker even looked like he was still drunk from the night before. Annoying . The Verizon store in kaahumanu mall is the best. They always find a solution to help you. There was an African American guy that helped my mom and I who was very friendly and helpful. I must say the assistant manager there Cameron is the bomb though. He goes out of his way to make sure we don't leave unhappy. Make sure if you visit this particular store go see Cameron or Des. I bought a new phone. Took it in to the store to activate. The sales person was not helpful nor did he offer to go through the phone to go over the new features. Also I asked for help with the Bluetooth feature for my car and was told "we don't do cars". I will never go to this store again and I will get another service once my final bill is received. read more

It's never a fun experience when you have to go to a wireless store to upgrade your phone or change your plan because, somehow, you've dropped your most used possession in the toilet or it's randomly started turning itself on and off. When I went to Verizon, I was dealing with just that - an iPhone less than a year old with some serious software malfunctions. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to speak with a representative and how, after explaining my debacle, the representative was able to get me an upgraded version of my iPhone. Unlike most wireless stores, the Verizon corporate store in Kahului, was clean, well organized and provided comfortable seating for what can often be a somewhat long process. I was able to upgrade my phone, pick out some accessories to protect it and download all of my photos all within less than an hour. The only downside was that I was presented with way more extra items than what I was really looking for but I understand that in a commission based position, this comes with the territory. I know when I am ready to purchase a Bluetooth speaker or finally get the coveted Apple Watch, I know where to go and how easy it is to purchase it. read more

I used to work at Verizon wireless I'm surprised this slides at a corporate location. Bad service, very few good employees, and wait list is pretty much friends first. This store is definitely not the one at Queen K mall. This is the actual corporate store that moved from the Marketplace Location last April. They have a pretty fresh friendly staff and the GM is very customer driven. Also this isn't the location responsible for the County Fair tablet debacle of last year. The management is crap! They make like they car salesmen! They can't even hide the fact that their #1 priority is commission. So greedy for $$$$$$!!!!!! Can't treat customers like that. If I only delt with him this place would probably have gotten 5but...When i went back i was helped by one of the haole managers, this fast talkin A$$hole, right off the bat he starts barkin...we got this deal and that deal, you can add this or that with no additional charge today....but if you say you want this tomorrow it will be an additional blah blah blah. We also have great deals I wanna share with you...but it ends tomorrow....yeah right...complete bullshit. He made like he was doing me a favor the whole time. Unbelievable people like this exist. These people know what customer service is pleasant friendly and will give you the best deals and be up and up with you. The other guys are not truthful with you they will lie to you and say no one has the products you want, guess what went to the corporate Verizon store at the Maui market place and got exactly what I wanted for a better price than the other guys were gonna give me. Verizon is great if you have questions or need help, don't get me wrong, but I don't like how they try so hard to push things on you. I needed to upgrade to a newer phone as mine pretty much crapped out. When I reached for my "appointment" I had to wait over a half hour, why make the appointment if you can't keep it...but ok I dealt with it. The guy who helped me was very friendly, he answered all my questions and showed me to different phones, he even made polite conversation while we were waiting. However, when he told me about there new offer and I politely listened then turned it down I think that should have been it. But no, he told me about it again and I replied I only want 1 phone. Then he proceeded to take me over to look at the items included in their new offer, and again I replied I only want a phone. Throughout the buying and setting up of my phone he proceeded to try another 2 or 3 times. Ok I get asking a couple times, I get that sales people need to try and make good commission or hit their goals or whatever. But more than a couple times becomes pushing and I hate when people try and push things on me when I made it clear I don't want it. Then I was asked it I wanted a phone case so I said ok I'll look. He bought one out that I really liked so I told him I wanted that one, then he apologized that he thought I had gone with the other phone and so this was the wrong case. Ok fine, so I looked at other cases and saw another one I kinda liked. Of course when I asked about it the price was like $40 something so I said no that's ok. To which I got a kind of sassy remark...sorry but hell yea I will go online and buy the same case for $10 off ebay before I buy your $40 one. In the middle of our conversation, she looked over to other customers and started to assist them at the same time. She gave us a number to call instead of directing us to someone at the store. Then I went on the computer at our hotel to get into our account for Verizon then had tried to call forward my husbands phone number to mine and really messed things up. We are from Wisconsin and end of January of this year 2015, we had the best service EVER from a Verizon store! Now this is a REAL Verizon store! The stores back at home are not the real deal. Michael and the staff at this location were the most professional phone store we've been to. They didn't have to call someone to tell them how to activate. they ALL know what they are doing. We have a Drywall Business at home and needed this phone. Michael was so helpful and had us out the door in less than 30 minutes! If your phone carrier is Verizon you are in luck. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! My dad's phone broke about a week ago so we went into Verizon to order him a new phone. They said it would be shipped to him last week Friday, four days from the day we ordered it, but it didn't come in until a week later from ordering it. My father lives on Oahu but he works in Maui so we had his phone shipped to Maui so he could get his phone. My dad walked into Verizon Puunenene and was asked what does he need help with, so my dad politely said that he was informed his replacement phone had arrived and asked if they had the phone. One of the employees asked him what his name was and after he told him what his name was, the employee said that there was nothing there for him. Another employee proceeded forward to help and asked if he knew his number, which my dad did not know. One of the employees told him to call a family member on his phone to ask what his number is. My father being the nice patient man he is, told the employee that he was sorry but his phone does not work. Wouldn't you think that if he was coming in for a REPLACEMENT phone he wouldn't have a phone at that time? They were eventually able to find the account at some point. The worst part I cannot believe happened is one of the employees managed to find the phone and handed him the phone, after my father grabbed the phone BOTH employees walked away from him! My dad was not born in the era of being glued to his phone and knowing how to work anything except getting ahold of his family. They did not even bother to even offer to help him after that point! So my dad opened up the box to the new phone and the phone asked for him to enter a SIM card. Which we all know a SIM card opening can only be opened by a really small pin! Not anyone of these two employees offered to help him open the sim card opening or help him at all! I really don't understand what was so hard for not just ONE employee but TWO employees to help someone who clearly was lost!! The fact that it had to take a manager be the one who helped my dad in the end, is such a shame. read more

We're new customers of Verizon. We switched from Sprint to Verizon for better coverage. My boyfriend's phone locked him out so I went in person at this location in need of assistance. When I walked in, from all the associates that were standing there, one stood out. Regina never smiled when she greeted me. When I was telling her about the problem, she had the phone in her hand. Instead of handing it back to me, she shoved it on the display table and said I had to take the cover off due to liability. Which I was fine with that but they way she said it and how she put down the phone instead of giving it to me, I was very appalled by the way she did it. I told her she was very rude. She got offended and turn around to say I was the rude one. If you watch the security camera, her demeanor (nonverbal cues) will show her bad attitude. Instead of diffusing the situation, she made it worst by arguing. Everyone in the store could hear. Regina did a good job making a scene. The store manager, Toni, was exceptionally helpful in helping me solve the phone problem. If it wasn't for him, the other associate who helped us with signing up with Verizon, and the customer service associate from the Customer Service contact number, we would have returned our phones and go back to Sprint, where we had better customer service from their associates. read more

If customer service is helpful and nice then I don't mind waiting. Today was incredibly frustrating... My new iPhone I had ordered camera didn't work. So I brought it in to have them check it out.... 5 people ahead. Waited with my 1 year old. They order me a new phone (1.5 hours later) none of their iPads were efficient and couldn't run anything so I come back after they order me a new phone a couple days later. The associate Anna was so rude, no hi how are you, or any greeting. No smile. She left me alone with no communication for a long time to even grab my phone, then she encouraged me to leave my phone there to restore but I had wanted to do it at home. She asked for my password and said if I came back in an hour it would be ready. Again, I'm with my toddler I say ok... Come back to pick up my phone, she won't look at me or speak to me and another associate grabs it from the back, hands me the phone. Nobody checks it to see if it works.... So I turn it on and guess what? It starts to restore. Hadn't even been done, nobody checked. I told one of the 4 associates just standing around what was going on.... Nobody gave a shit. My kid is waiting in the car with grandma still.... Worst service ever. Verizon, don't give people more of a reason to look elsewhere for service.
