Went in to this location in June of 2021. They did seem busy, which wasn't the problem, but the customer service itself was what earned them 1 star. It took roughly 15 minutes to even be addressed. Most stores at least do the "hi, thank you for coming" greetings or "welcome." They didn't even do that. After waiting to finally be addressed, we were told it would be "soon" but I guess everyone has a different definition of soon because it was another 25 minutes of just sitting. I saw someone check in after us but they were serviced before us. I would say maybe they had an appointment but I heard the customers say they didn't. So after 40 minutes of being in the store and being spoken to for maybe 2 minutes at best out of those 40 minutes, it's safe to say we left. We went to another location and was greeted with aloha and got everything we wanted and more. I wouldn't recommend going to this location if you're wanting fast service or to be seen. I've been with Verizon for over 10 years, this is the worst experience I've had at a location. read more

I changed from Sprint to Verizon and wow what a difference! Verizon has 4G LTE for Hawaii and it's so much faster with the Samsung 4G, while Sprint keeps promising 4G LTE for years, but has not come through on their promise - their network is slow as a snail. The only weird thing is here at this particular location, you are greeted and put in a customer queue. If it's busy, good luck waiting. I went a little later in the day and was serviced in an ample amount of time. Service was friendly and helpful. I felt rude but I had to do something important, and told the guy servicing me. He tried as best he could to hurry for me. That was awesome. Got out of there in time. Verizon is a tad bit more expensive, but worth it. I get strong signals for both phone and Internet in places I couldn't before. If you are a State or City and County worker, don't forget to ask for a discount. There are military discounts as well, but it's much lower than the civil service discounts. Also, their phone service through their 800 number was fantastic. I wasn't on hold for very long and wanted to upgrade my gigs on my phone. Instead of being money hungry, the lady told me it was cheaper to go over the gigs because it was only $10 a gig, while upgrading the plan would be more expensive. Lost my phone Friday so as you all know not the happiest person walking into Verizon! Rich greeted us he was polite and friendly I told him what went down and he made the process painless. I lost my iphone 5 yesterday, and I panicked! I mean who wouldn't right? Well luckily for me I went into verizon moanalua and temporarily put my phone on spare droid I had. Anywho! Long story short the lady called my mom telling her she found my phone. (12 hrs after I lost it). If I had not got that phone call I probably would have paid $170 to the insurance company. But let me tell you!!! The best part yet is that TODAY I walked into kapolei verizon and I was greeted, they took my name down and I was helped in 5 min. I had the BEST service! The store manager named Ande I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was very happy with how I was helped, she asked me questions and was super super friendly, she got my iphone working again! I love the excitement of upgrading my IPhone but the process terrifies me based on past experiences. That all changed when I worked with Jaymie R. at the Kapolei location. You never know what you get when you work with someone you don't know and me with limited knowledge on how to work a smartphone. Jaymie has a passion for her work. She takes great pride in what she does and goes out of her way to make me comfortable throughout this whole process. I have to say it's improved a whole lot upgrading a phone but I appreciate her enthusiasm and kindness during this whole process. It's people like Jaymie that I wish I could keep working with my entire life as it would sure lessened the stress on old folks like me. I don't know if Verizon is the best carrier. But I do know that I haven't had a dropped call in many years, seems like service is always available wherever I travel, service plans seems reasonable and customer service like Jaymie takes it over the top for me. read more

He laughed when I rolled my eyes about trading in my phone because theres been a few times where my trade in took almost two hours. This guy got me in and out within 30 minutes. I'm from Montgomery Alabama and was in Hawaii on Vacation and I was walking on the beach and that damn wave got me and my phone got wet in my swim trunks. Now I was walking on a slant but that is not important. Now regarding my phone.. It was dead. Thank the Lord I got me that insurance. I walked into this store thinking I would get a run around but.... Let me tell you! These people are helpful. They asked me some questions looked up my account and helped me contact the insurance company. The boy helping me was wonderful and Thanked me for my service as he noticed by Veterans card and told me he would add a discount to my account. If I have to go to Verizon for any reason, Damian is my go-to-guy! He never disappoints and always makes sure I am satisfied. Prime example..I am a military wife and have teenagers. Husband was deployed, teenagers phone quit working, and this was our only form of communication while we were separated. I went into the store and Damian saw the panic/desperation of me not knowing what to do. He asked me several questions, and said wait here, I'll be right back. He had an insurance agent on the phone within minutes and her phone was replaced. Verizon can be difficult at times but Damian knows what to do, when to do it and who to call if needed. I have been with Verizon for almost 10 years and I continue to be loyal simply because of there customer service. I had been going to the store fora couple days and I wanted to get the new iPhone 7 and iPad Pro for buisness. I had came in about 10 minutes before this store closed and yes ... I did have to wait for previous customers to finish being helped. As a buisness owner my self I know it takes time to do a stellar job and only the best businesses are busy! Diamond was first to greet me, he was very personable, knowledgeable and easy going. Even though it was already 30 min past closing time he still took the time to answer all my questions (which I had a lot) about the iPad Pro and also the iPhone 7 plus. I did not feel rushed but only informed on everything I had asked and wanted to know! I had arranged to meet with Diamond a couple days later so he could get commission for the iPad I was going to buy. Of course he was busy helping another customer, again not a problem. He did understand I was ready to do this deal and told me immediately he was busy right now and it will be a while. He then had approached me very shortly there after with another Verizon representative Dianne. Dianne is the best! She greeted me with a wonderful smile and in a very positive manner. She was very kind, and easy to work with on getting my new IPad Pro. Dianne knows the ins and outs of her job as well as her products! If she didn't have a answer for me she went and found one, not just any answer but the correct answer! She even went to the extent of fully breaking down my plan and helping me understand why I pay so much! After asking every question in the world and looking at cases for the iPhone and keyboards for the iPad I had finally decided to purchased my iPad Pro. Dianne made It was simple and very fast! She even installed the screen protector on my phone flawlessly! Not to compare Verizon reps because Diamond and Dianne were both EXCELLENT all around! I have Verizon and this is an awful horrible service. The customer service is terrible constantly accusing me of purchasing data boost 1 GB for $35. I've never purchased not one single data boost, and months by month they charged me for six data boosts, and then 5 data boosts never giving me a full refund. My bill is supposed to be $124 they just took out $388. if you don't want to be ripped off severely don't use Verizon they are horrible people and a terrible company. read more

The WORST experience I've had at any carrier store. (I used to have T-Mobile and Sprint, so that's pretty bad to top them) I wanted to upgrade my phone to the Galaxy 7 Edge, so I went in to preorder the phone through them. A woman approached me to ask me what she can help me with. I told her I was ordering the Galaxy 7 Edge through Verizon's Edge program, and she sighed LOUDLY, and lectured me that it will make my monthly plan go up and asked me if I understood that. (Well, Verizon's Edge plan is a monthly installment program so it would be pretty shocking if my bill went DOWN instead of UP, wouldn't it? No duh, lady) She asks to see my phone, rips my case off and actually broke the corner of my case. Didn't even get an 'oops', or a 'sorry' for that one. Then without asking if she had my permission, or informing me off what she was about to do, without turning off my phone first she just took off the back cover and yanked the battery out to look at my serial number. She puts the battery back in the phone, but then tosses it onto the counter so hard that the battery popped out when the phone crashed on the table and landed hard enough to pop out the battery to land 6 inches away from where the phone dropped. THEN, she threatened that if I didn't send my old phone back the day my new phone gets mailed to me that they would charge me hundreds of dollars. I asked if I could pick it up in-store, and she told me its "impossible," and that "from now on, no phone will ever be picked up in stores. Every single OEM now mails the phones directly to the customer. So no business do pick ups anymore." I'm writing this review from my new Galaxy 7 Edge (which is spectacular!) that I picked up.....in A STORE, by the way. Another one of her demonstrably inaccurate chatters. My experience was so horrible that if they offered me 5 free phones, I still wouldn't bother doing business with this location ever again. And I'll do everything in my power to ensure everyone knows what kind of service people receive there. Although I would love to get her name so I could pass on my horrible experience to the higher ups and inform them of the rude, thoughtless, employees they have working in that location. read more

9/26/13 I went to the store to buy a new phone since my previous phone got stolen. I went in the afternoon and was the only customer in the store that I noticed. I talked to a worker and told him my situation. He asks for my information and takes his time checking my info while talking to other workers about things unrelated to me, the paying customer and potential person who's about to drop a lot on an uncontracted phone ($650). After waiting for an uncomfortably long time he tells me that I don't qualify because I haven't paid on time in the last 6 months. I'm on a family plan and don't take care of the account so I leave and talk to my dad, who takes care of it, about what had happened. He ends up calling customer service, pissed because he's done automatic payments on the plan for years. Finds out the worker was not paying attention and gave me the wrong information. I go back there, ask them to recheck and start asking for the name of the guy who helped me. They gave me the okay on the account saying that a manager must've changed it just now (customer service told my dad that nothing needed to be changed and they were just not paying attention). When it came to getting a name she gave me two names even though she was the coworker BRANDON was talking to. I had to be somewhere so I came the next day to buy a phone. Next day I come in the afternoon and walk in to a moderately crowded store, every employee busy. I stand like an idiot for 20min (I start timing myself just so I could see how bad this store is) until the manager comes up to me and asks if I've signed in. I say no and he signs me in his iPad. He should really have someone watching the door to quickly get customers situated because while I waited for 45min to be helped I saw a couple customers as lost as I was. The wait was ridiculous and gave me time to watch the other employees. At this time I've already decided to buy my phone somewhere else but I wanted the full experience. During the 45min I noticed the frustrated and confused faces on customers and employees who could care less. I even see Brandon who conveniently decides to go in the back and leaves for lunch. I'm helped by someone new and while his service was so-so I told him I'd think about it. This store has really slow paced, inconsiderate employees and the manager needs to step up his act and his employees. It's disappointing me to see this but everyone accept one worker seemed to be happy working there. There's a reason this store has bad ratings and I wish I yelped it sooner. read more

Checked in at 630pm. They close at 7pm. 2 people in front of me. Tony(mgr) added me to the list. I specifically asked since they close at 7pm if they'll be able to see me. He answered yes but it may be about 45min wait. I said no problem. I waited outside since there were no seats available in the store. I even receive a text msg saying that I was added to the waitlist n that 2 people were ahead of me n that I would receive a text when 1 person is ahead of me. That never happened. I'm walking around outside waiting for a text which never came. I head back to the store. It's now 730pm. Door is locked. Finally a customer exits and I ask the employee if I'm next. He says no because I needed to be in the store at the time of closing in order to be seen. What the..... Tony(mgr) failed to tell me that piece of important information. Absolute waste of my time!!! Tony needs additional training on the topic of customer service. What a joke!!!! read more

Love this place!! Super close to my home, the new movie theaters and the new Dunkin Donuts shop. Took my daughter there today to get her new iPhone and Rich gave us quality service from time of entrance to time of exit. This place has horrible service. i was told it would take 20 minutes to get seen, so i waited almost an hour and watched as people who were checked in after me were seen. Additionally when i signed up for Verizon over 2 years ago, I was supposed to have a discount applied, this never happened. I did pay 400 dollars for insurance, but when my wife's phone broke the insurance no longer existed so they finally replaced the phone by unknowingly adding a phone line to my account and my idiot wife decided pay for this phone that did not exist then they wanted to charge a $250 disconnect fee for this non existent phone. So I decide to call the national customer service line and only after three phone calls do I get something close to resolving the issue but it does not change the horrible quality of customer service at this store. read more

My moms phone was broken for about 3 days before we were able to bring it in to Verizon in Kapolei. Anyone who would call her she could hear them but we couldn't hear her. Which concerned me greatly because she is elderly and if there was an emergency she would not be able to call 911 for assistance since we could not hear her. We brought her phone in Monday 5/ 13 and we were greeted by very friendly and professional Solutions Specialists Richard Stewart helped us the first day and I just wanted to say that he was amazing with my mom. He was so patient and understanding. He helped her order a new phone and explained step by step the process for my mom who can be very forgetful and needs to be reminded constantly... he assured us that the replacement phone would be here by Thursday and that he would be available to help her set it up when we get back in. As promised the phone arrived yesterday and we were able to come back into Verizon to have them help us set it up. We were greeted by Jaymie Renard who was just as amazing as Richard was. She was wonderful helping my mom with her many questions, and showed her how to retrieve her voice mail.. OMG the patience that they both had was phenomenal... Again we had a excellent experience with the both of them. I am a AT&T customer, and this experience makes me want to change carriers. Thank you both for your excellent Customer service. And I will see you when my AT&T contract ends. read more

Horrible service!!! I go in because the microphone is not working on my new galaxy s5 I purchased a month ago. When I would make phone calls, the person I called can not hear me. I explain this to the rep. She says that the speaker is blown and she will need to order me a replacement phone that will get here in 3-4 days. I ask, so what am I suppose to do for 3-4 days without a phone because I can't even have a conversation with anyone. She says I can purchase a headset. I explain my job doesn't allow me to walk around with a headset all day. She talks to the manager and they say they can give me a $10 credit since I won't be able to talk on the phone. The whole process I do not feel the rep nor the manager put theirselves in my shoes. It never even crossed their mind to offer a loaner flip phone until the new phone arrived. Terrible customer service. The manager on duty today, Michele, was MIA for 2 hours while our sales agent tried to solve an issue with trying to set us up with new phones. We spent over 45 min on hold with corporate because she wouldn't come over to help her employee. She refused to come over and help assist in the matter and continued to just walk directly past us. Unfortunately verizon has good coverage on the island ... Terrible customer serivce isn't worth it to me and I'll handle the low bars in parts of the island. When we had them cancel our new activation she didn't even apologize or try to find a new solution for us. read more

Maria should have been more instrumental in working with Rich, who was fairly new to Verizon, according to solutions manager, Jared. It is the managers duty to coach and guide new employees, especially when they are in need of help. Literally have been in this store for almost 3 hours, and she only jumps in when I make a ruckus? Seriously bought 2 cars in less than this time in upgrading 2 phones. She should take the managers training class all over again and actually learn something if she listens. If I based this review solely on the girl that helped me with my account I would have to give HER 5 stars! She was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable about everything. Not just the devices, she knew her accessories, her plan information, she not once needed to look something up when I asked a questions. Bravo to her even though I totally forgot her name. However, before I stumbled across this girl's path at this store, I walked in there 3 times prior on different days at different times and was not approached ONCE! Not even offered to be checked in via their little iPad get'up or anything. Not a "Hello! Hey! Thanks for coming into Verizon today, we'll be right with you!" NOTHING! I'm not sure why I considered going back time after time but I'd have to say it's because of the pure convenience of the location. Just to add, whoever the guy "Jorge" is, I'm assuming he was a manager or supervisor or some sort due to his cocky posture, he sucks. His customer service skills are LACKING and he should be less concerned with how cool and physically fit he looks and more concerned with customers standing in front of him. In conversation while I was getting checked out, he was standing there listening to the conversation and as I chimed in and directed the conversation to include him also, he just looked and turned and didn't comment. Mind you, the conversation had everything to do with cell phones. Maybe he was a having a bad day but in retail THERE ARE NO SECOND CHANCES to make a first impression. read more

Came in last week because of an issue with my data plan when I opened a new line at a different retailer, they basically screwed me over. Keith sent out an email to Verizon and told me that it would be fixed in a few days. Today I received a phone call from Keith saying that there was a problem in fixing my data plan to get the holiday promo and if I could come in to resolve it by cancelling my account and reopening it again since I was still within the 14 day worry free limit. In a matter of mins. Keith was able to pertain to my needs. This here is great customer service and I appreciated him reaching out to me. Truly makes a difference. First of all...they sold me a broken phone..when I went back to exchange it, they said I couldn't because my account was a couple days past due. Ok, I understand that but I wouldn't have been there at that moment if my phone worked to begin with! After 1 1/2 hours of giving us the run around and telling us they couldn't exchange it, they said that they were going to contact some higher ups and "see what they could do"...& call us the next day to tell us of the status. Ummm...2 days later still no call. I work in customer service and I understand the importance of a follow up call with customers...and they TOTALLY failed.
