I…read morespent over an hour on one phone call and one chat messaging trying to update the address and get things straight. Both times I was told things were set. Absolutely nothing was done at all. They only tried to upsell me. My address was not updated, and nothing was being shipped to me as promised. Tyler was super helpful and knowledgeable and let me know that nothing had been changed in the system. He straightened it out and got everything set up. I appreciate the great customer service I received today. It is so rare. No one says thank you anymore, or how can I help you? Tyler is a great employee and if it wasn't for his great customer service I would drop Xfinity after all the time I wasted online and on the phone with the online service.

The entire staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Jason was our salesman, and he was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable with our decisions. At the end of the transaction, Devin, the manager, also stepped in to assist and made sure everything was completed smoothly. Both Jason and Devin were professional, friendly and truly focused on customer care. When I asked Devin if he could put the face protectors on our two phones he didn't hesitate a second. He said absolutely and did a perfect job which is one job we could never do properly and he was an expert at it! It was such a positive experience from start to finish and we couldn't recommend them more for your mobile phone needs!

    They took over a well-oiled machine from Paxio and turned it into a fickle jalopy of internet…read moreservice. I never had this much downtime and maintenance from Paxio. The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.

Instead, I ended up paying the full price for a new phone and losing my old phone in the process. The store gave me a mailing label to send back my old phone, which I used--just one week late. I checked, and the phone was delivered. But I never received my trade-in credit. When I called customer service, they assured me the delay wasn't an issue because the return window had been extended. But the problem was, they claimed my phone never showed up in the warehouse. At this point, I believe the mailing label I received from the store may have been incorrect. Yet no one took responsibility. Xfinity customer service told me that this store (Las Positas Xfinity) is a third-party vendor and not part of the official Xfinity network--so they couldn't help me. They also mentioned the store failed to properly mark my purchase as a trade-in when I picked up the phone. The store, in turn, kept repeating that it wasn't their problem. In the end, both the store and Xfinity washed their hands of the situation. And I was left paying for two iPhones--one I no longer have. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, both financially and emotionally. Please, save yourself the heartache and do not buy any device from this store. They take no accountability for their mistakes, and you'll be the one left to pay the price.

Asked for a manager and they said he was busy to just wait. I waited over 25 minutes and he never came out. I had an appointment in Dublin, CA and finally had to leave. Still getting messages to return my equipment. Also switched over to the NOW pre-paid program for internet. They sent me a router that was filthy and had a dead cockroach in it. When I went to the Livermore store they took it back along with my current router and gave me another router which was the same as the one I was turning in. It was the wrong router and didn't work. I had to go to the Dublin store to return the wrong one. Finally had Comcast service came to my house. His name, I think was Sam. He was wonderful and got me the correct router to use for the Now service. Also informed me about the NOW program that no one else knew anything about. My son & I are switching from T-Mobile to Xfinity for our phone service and it's been Hell!!!! I do Not recommend Xfinity Comcast.

He was patient in answering my questions and made sure I understood how to use and manage my new WiFi before he left. What really stood out was his customer service-friendly, respectful, and genuinely focused on making sure everything worked perfectly. He was also very kind and friendly with my cats, which I really appreciated and made the whole experience even more comfortable. After scheduling an installation appointment that was already weeks away, I waited the entire month only to receive a call on the day of the appointment informing me that it was canceled. Not only was the appointment canceled at the last minute, but Sonic couldn't even provide a new installation date. Their answer was essentially, "We don't know when it will happen." The most frustrating part isn't even the delay itself--it's the complete lack of communication. For over a month, there were no proactive updates, no realistic timeline, and no effort to keep me informed about what was happening. If there were permit issues or construction delays, why wasn't that communicated earlier? Why was I allowed to wait weeks for an appointment that apparently couldn't be fulfilled? What makes this even worse is that Sonic offered no temporary solution whatsoever. If fiber installation was delayed indefinitely, they could have suggested an alternative service, temporary internet option, or any kind of stopgap solution. Instead, I was left completely in the dark and without internet service. When I called customer service to get answers, I didn't get any new information. The representative simply repeated the same explanation about waiting for a permit over and over again, without providing any timeline, updates, or accountability. Delays happen. Permits can take time. Customers understand that. What customers don't appreciate is being ignored for weeks, having appointments canceled at the last minute, and then being told nobody knows when service will actually be available. At this point, I'm left with no internet, no installation date, and very little confidence in Sonic's ability to communicate with its customers. Extremely disappointing experience.
