When I came in for my appointment, I was paired with Mark S., and his customer service was truly exceptional. He was patient, informative, and genuinely invested in helping me find the best option. Not only did he secure a deal that beat all major competitors, but he also took the time to explain everything thoroughly and clearly. Sadly after sitting around and waiting for 6 customers for my turn. I went to this location 5070 Sunrise Hwy in massapequa. to resolve an issue with my phone being on SOS due to SIM card issue and the gentleman that helped me paid more attention to his cellphone than to the issue I was having. i had to repeat multiple times what my issue was He had me dial my phone number and follow steps to connect to a customer service using the stores phone and be walked away into the back room. there must have been a connection issue with Verizon line because the system continued to ask me to enter my phone number over and over again until if finally disconnected. I had to ask some one else to call the guy that was helping me from the. ack room. when he came out i told him what happened and after a few attempts to get me connected to a rep he finally was able to do so. I asked him to stay around because I would most likely need him again but he was still paying more attention to his text messages and walked away...surely enough the customer representative on the phone asked me questions that I wasn't able to answer and asked me to remove the SIM card something I could not do because I had nothing small enough to help me get it out. By this time I asked for someone else to help me because the person that was supposed to be helping me was in the back room hiding and probably still texting. The WORST Verizon store I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. My wife and I put our name on the electronic waiting list and received a text saying we'd be notified when it was our turn. There was 1 person ahead of us. We grabbed a drink next door and 30m went by with no notice. We headed back next door only to find our name was REMOVED from the waiting list altogether and not a single employee cared or had an explanation or solution. After another 15 minutes of being ignored, we went home having wasted over an hour on this absolute waste of a business. read more

Do not attempt to go to this location. I wouldn't wish this level of inattention and ineptitude on my worst enemy. My husband and I arrived here at 4:15 PM and registered as walk-ins. We promptly received a text at 4:18 stating there was 1 person ahead of us and we'd be notified when it was our turn. We grabbed a drink next door with our phone ringer on loud and got no calls or texts for 30 minutes. We went back next door to find that our name was OFF THE WAITING LIST COMPLETELY. We asked several employees what happened and each said "Oh, someone will be right with you." We waited another 15 minutes (45m total now) and nobody was right with us or could explain why we were booted off the waiting list. The employees could not give less of a sh*t about their customers and we hope this branch goes out of business. read more

I don't think I would go back to this store. Not a Verizon fan to begin with but I have been with them for a very long time. Although the staff were friendly, I can't say they were competent. My first visit I spent 2 hours there just to go home and spend 2 more hours on the phone with Verizon because I was given the wrong information. Upgraded 4 phones with a promotion to trade in current phones. On this day I only wanted to activate 1 of the 4 phones. I was told I have to activate all of them. Left the store annoyed and then called Verizon and 3 different people could NOT believe what I was told. They also wanted to know what store I went to and kept apologizing for their poor service. Second trip was better. Individual this time was much more helpful. As I came to find out, he was a manager. Third and final trip is why I am writing this review. Person I spoke to this time told me, as I am standing there with 4 old phones, to trade in, I did not have the trade in promotion. Person who did the the initial upgrade did it wrong. Needless to say, this poor person got an earful. They were also kind enough to charge me $50 to transfer all the info from one phone to another. A Verizon customer for 12 years. So once again I had to go home and spend another hour on the phone with Verizon to fix my bill. If you are looking for competence, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I want to file a huge complaint about this Verizon wireless location especially the sales rep named Kyle first off he was extremely unwelcoming, rude, and messed up my device upgrade exchange that has me still arguing with Verizon till this day... I went to Verizon at Massapequa on the 2nd of August I originally had the Samsung S 25 ultra I received on the 31st of July because of issues and decided to just switch back to an iPhone and he did not know how to wipe out the Samsung data off the device I had to do it, then I had a promo on my account where I would get $1000+ my new phone which also applied to the the new iphone I exchanged within a 30 day period which still qualified for the promo....as soon as he did the exchange Verizon only accepted my mint condition iPhone 14 Pro Max for $330 which I have photo proof that this phone is in mint condition and should have received $1000 and after endless phone calls complaining on getting my promo added on my account and robbed from my trade in of $670....is ridiculous to me and after being lied to saying a form been filled out to reverse everything I don't appreciate any of this and also had proof from Verizon stating my promo would "be applied" to my account which never did and honest this is all KYLE'S fault for not being attentive enough to the transaction and messing everything up on my account....Sadly still struggling to revert everything thanks to his mistake and I can honestly escalate this to cooperate even take legal action which I am considering at this point because if Verizon not honoring the promo which my device I traded in my iPhone 14 Pro Max perfectly followed the guidelines of being in mint condition...... read more

If I could do 0 stars, I would. I waited for over 45 minutes on a Tuesday at 12:30 when there wasn't many people there. When we were finally helped, I told them what we were there for. I just wanted to upgrade my iphone 13 to an iphone 16. The worker told me how much it would be, and it was WAY more than expected. He printed out our quote but added 2 things that we DO NOT HAVE. I could not be anymore pleased with the customer service I received from Mike. Mike worked with me throughout 4 days to make sure my phone upgrades went through properly and made sure I was up and running. I went in to upgrade 2 lines and issues arose that rarely occurred and some never seen happen. Mike worked through everything with me, tried multiple options to get passed errors and stuck with me to the end. Just want to express my appreciation towards Mike and his customer service he provided! Give this man a raise! read more

Went to this store at 6pm as my daughter is a teacher and got home from work.. Willing to purchase 3 new iphones with trade in. Well the minute we walked in the store the manager greeted us with we close at 7pm.. Very rude, but we all know it doesn't take long to buy a phone. UPDATE: my latest bill from Verizon is over $300!!!! I look at the charges and I have a $160 cancellation fee for this "FREE" jet pack that was given to me. That customer service apologized for and credited me to 2 months of the monthly charges for it. I would avoid this store at all cost!!! Their salesmen are scam artists!!! I went there in Jan to upgrade and was given a "FREE" jet pack, that I never wanted or asked for. In fact, to this day I have never used it, nor do I know what it is for. Well they convinced me to switch to paperless billing to save $10 a month. That was my mistake because I never looked at the bill online because it was the same amount every month. Until recently when I went online to look to upgrade my phone and saw that there was a 3rd device on my acct that I was being charged $20 a month for. Finally find out that it was the "free" jet pack that I was given. So I chatted with a rep online today to have it removed and try to get reimbursed. We entered the store and wasn't greeted or told where to put our name down. We waited 10 minutes and had to find the manager to ask. We waited 45 minutes on a list to be seen by an associate who was actually the manager. I was interested in upgrading to the new iPhone 15. He explained the cost and I agreed. Then he told us we had to wait back on a list to been seen because a person who scheduled an appointment came in and that takes precedence. I have been to this story every couple years for the past 10 or 12 years and my visit today was so much better then all the rest I felt I needed to review it. Our salesperson Jason was over the top with his knowledge and enthusiasm. We walked in without knowing what phone we wanted to upgrade to and walked out very satisfied after a smooth and actually enjoyable experience. It seems they have improved the whole process so I am glad we came back. As for other reviews I would say my prior experiences here have been in the 2 star range as it used to take forever with mutiple lines and total confussion but it seems much improved thus the 4 stars. read more

Shout out to Omar in the Verizon Massapequa store. Outstanding service and knowledge of products and apps. I got a good tutorial on the Verizon Family app - unfortunately for his brother who lost connectivity so Omar could show me the features of the app. And to top it off, after I purchased something, I remembered I needed more accessories, Omar tracked down the initial purchase (I didn't ask for a receipt) to void it so I could purchase it with the accessories and get the Verizon discount. My mother is elderly with cognitive decline. She accidentally turned off the power to her landline. She has a cell phone but does not know how to use it. She forgot she has a cell phone so went to the Verizon store and purchased a prepaid flip phone. My sister went to return the phone, the store insisted on a restocking fee and would not refund the activation/first month. The individual who processed the return tried talking my mom and sister into keeping the phone when there obviously is no point. Yes, the receipt said there will be a restocking fee but Verizon is taking advantage of someone suffering from memory loss and likely dementia. Very unethical company! read more

As a company itself, I do happen to find Verizon a bit expensive, and I don't care much for the fact they don't have unlimited data. HOWEVER - this location is fantastic! Not only do the staff know what they're doing, they really do care about making sure all of your needs are meet. I've been there a few times this year, and they've been nothing but good to us, going above and beyond to help us in whatever way we need. I was there with my technology-illiterate mother last week hooking her up with a new phone. The gentleman helping us spent over three hours with my mother as she went through a variety of different phones, plans, and programs. I could not believe the patience this man had. Recently an authorized user on my account went into the Verizon store in Massapequa. The general manager "Moose" helped her. Let me start by saying both my sister in law (authorized person in the store) and I both worked retail for many years, the way this man lied and manipulated my sister in law is disgusting and something should be done about this disaster Verizon calls a manager. My sister in law was having an issue with her phone she had called and someone directed her to go to the store to get a warranty replacement. Before she knew it he was telling her to go through insurance, which her phone had no physical damage and was having issues. After looking at it for a short time he told her nothing was wrong with her phone that he was going to do something and see if it works if not come back in three days. Before she knew it he had wiped out all of her info without telling her anything or even reassuring her that her stuff was backed up. The level of customer service is Atrocious and something should be done. But it won't since Verizon on cares if you pay your phone bill or not. It's funny though because Verizon doesn't even care about moose he is just another number to them so that fact that he was being mister go hard is hysterical. Good job loser!!! Came to the store and got a quote from one the workers there , since I did not have a New York ID it was flagged they told me I needed to call the fraud department to get everything cleared, I called the fraud department I got everything cleared per fraud department they said all I need to do now is walk into any Verizon provide my account or social to them so they can pull me up and I will be all good to go. When I arrived to the store today the SUPERVISOR MARC approached us we told him the situation and how the fraud department cleared everything and told us to come in, he shut us down immediately told us fraud department is closed and he would have run it again and if he does that it's gonna come up as fraud again, I explained to him that that did not make sense being that I know have a account with you guys and they cleared everything...Mr marc would not even try for us did not give us no time of day told us to come back at an earlier time which is super unfortunate for me because I work 7 days a week and get off at 6pm so pretty much he told me there was nothing he could do for me unless I could come early. What I felt it was is that Marc was ready to go home and clock out and he did not want to assist me because of that. Super unprofessional and no consideration for his customer I WONT be joining Verizon due to this rude supervisor showing TERRIBLE customer service also when I got home I called the fraud department at 7:30 PM and they answered so Marc lied about them being closed and they were able to help me with no issues , they pulled my account up with no issues and it was not flagged again. Absolutely the worst! Because of what is going on,my husband had to schedule an appointment for today to transfer old broken phone data to new upgraded I-phone. He left work early and went over to the store in Massapequa Park....mask and gloves on and when he got there, three guys were in the store sitting around talking to one another and one guy tells my husband...."Sorry, I can't help you...We don't want to touch any phones due to Covid". Um, isn't that why your store is open and by appointment only? What's the point of having the store open and working? This is not a curbside pickup business...it's open for service. I went in here yesterday looking to swap out of my current iPhone and get into a new iPhone and Inwas told that it was not possible at the time and then while they "claimed" to be trying to help me they came out and tried to convince me to add a 3rd line to my account where I would buy one get one free and also get a free iPad and claimed it would lower my bill every month on top of that they asked if my family had anyone who served or is serving and I stated my father was a veteran and they told me to get a picture of his Vietnam ID and show them and they would apply the military discount for me to my account even with my father NOT being listed on my account at all and they claimed that it was fine. I reached out to the store manager who claimed he was going to handle it and gave me a email that he said I could send him proof that a discount was offered but the email he gave me is invalid and does not work.
