I dealt with a sales rep and everything was fine, even though he spoke million miles an hr, until the general manager Moose, as he calls himself, dumb if you ask me, came into the transaction n from there it was a shit show! anyway don't believe him he is out to get you an he will make you buy items you won't want or use n then he will tell you he will credit your account back half the amount , Horrible Horrible experience he should be working on a farm. Was dealing with Jason Davidson and the STORE MANGER Johnny... They spent 2 hours trying to setup a business plan for me with transferring my existing number and adding 2nd phone (new number) to the "new plan". After 2 hours they decide to tell me they are un able to transfer the loan of my current phone over to my new plan.. which would lead me to buy my outdating phone by buying it out. Just to start a new plan.. never was I told about this from the start and you would think the sales speacialist and the STORE MANGER would be aware before wasting 2 hours of my time! They need a training course to brush up on how Verizon works.. very disappointed. If I had looked at the reviews on yelp I would have never walked in here. read more

No stars!!! Left with out my order because I was being pressured!! I went in this Friday to simply pick up my online order of an IPHONE 6 that I had "shipped to store." The phone was a surprise for my husband's birthday and I wanted to pay for it then ( I was at a discounted upgrade) and did not want it activated until I gave it to him. When I arrived at the store Mousse said he needed to speak with me about my options and broke down the options of buying the phone under the Edge plan. I politely declined several times and he would not take NO for an answer. He told me " I can't believe your a customer that doesn't want to save money!" and then proceeded to bring me over to his manager, as if I were a school kid being brought to the principal, where then the manager proceeded to tell me I couldn't leave the store without phone being activated. I was told on the Verizonwireless.com website that it would be a simple pick up and I could activate it at a later time., The manager refused to discuss this with me any further and simply dismissed me. I left without my phone and had to reorder it online and was not able to get in time for my husband's birthday ;-( My recommendation is to deal with the Website only! Ask for Mousse. After being with Verizon for almost a decade, I was ready to drop my account and never look back after leaving the Huntington Location. I broke my iPhone 4s and was simply looking to replace it. The rep in Huntington was nothing to write a review about so I left. Annoyed and discouraged. I decided to give Verizon a last chance, picked up my mom on my way and went to the Massapequa location on Sunrise Highway. Immediately I felt much better about staying a Verizon customer. My mom and I were greeted by Tara upon our arrival, and then we were helped by Mousse for the purpose of our trip. My phone was in awful shape, but in reality I'm not someone who requires the highest technology or the best of the best. I just wanted a phone that worked and didn't cut my finger when using it! Mousse was wonderful, he was friendly, informative and extremely helpful. If he is not a manager - he should be. Not only did he help me get a new phone (with a great package deal on prices!!) he also was the most calm, patient and understanding customer service agent to help my mom get an iPad! My mom is not huge on technology, and she definitely doesn't like making rash decisions. Because of Mousse's patience and relaxed (non-sales-person-esque) persona he was able to sell my mom an iPad and even get her excited about it! Well done Mousse... You absolutely have the skill set to keep your customers happy, and more importantly loyal. If it wasn't for you, Verizon would have lost two customers and total of 5 cell lines on Saturday. I absolutely love this Verizon ! The staff members that have helped me always have great personalities and are so nice. I have had the Verizon employee Fred a few times now and he's absolutely fantastic. I came in today because my younger brother needed a new phone. The store is always very organized, never dirty, and the staff are always so welcoming. I have a lot of issues with my family on the plans so the beginning of our session was a little bit annoying but Fred was so positive and patient with me. After a few phone calls and texts we got the info we needed and proceeded with what we were doing. Fred was super informative and so kind. The whole time he managed to not stab me in the eyes out of me annoying him so much haha he was a really good sport. I really appreciate genuine real people like him. He's the type of employee that every business should WANT to have. He's definitely a core asset - great with people, very kind, informative, and is actually DOWN TO EARTH and not a rude butthole. I love interacting with people and it's always nice when they are interested in chatting back and don't sass you or dismiss you. I am very pleased with my visit to Verizon today and Fred was absolutely fantastic. I definitely recommend checking out this Verizon. Salespeople lie. Was told that I couldn't upgrade unless I got the HUM phone and that if I wanted to early upgrade I would need to change my phone number. Left the store and called verizon and was told I could early upgrade without a problem. Don't listen to what those people say, they just wanted to scam me into getting the HUM phone plan. Not happy at all ... I changed from AT&T to Verizon .. got the big speech on how I'd be receiving hundreds of dollars in Visa cards for trading in our current phones ... Months later no Visa cards and now salesman says instead it'll be credits on my future monthly bills which hasn't happened either ... I can't wait to get rid of Verizon !!!!! This store SUCKS! The service is terrible: there were two people ahead of me and it took an hour to get a new sim card. There goes that day. Also, they had no cases for my phone, the iphone six. For verizon I have to say this was one of my best experiences. The manager Christian signed me in immediately and answered all my questions right there as well as trying to figure a way out to make my phone work without upgrading since I wasn't really ready to purchase a new phone. Since my phone is not 'fixable' I decided to upgrade and was put with a sales member Syed, within 15 minutes. He walked me through everything and even when I didn't understand he was very patient. I ended up with a tablet as well because of the amazing deal. I have to say I will definitely be back to this location! read more

Very bad store!!! long waits and very unorganized. Three times I had to return to get my account corrected so I can edge up. They made so many errors on the account the first time I went that it flagged the account for fraud. The had inaccurate information causing me to return the second time. Each visit was over an hour wait with nothing given. They messed up my account so bad last year that until this day I still have difficulties upgrading. Don't come to this store if you have a chance go to the mall or another store. Avoid it at all cost. No courtesy to at least say lets get you out of here since you have visited us 3 times for more than 3 hrs of waiting time in two days just to upgrade. This store is not to Verizon's excellent service standards and Verizon corporation should send someone to inspect it. read more

I recently went here to have replacement phone activated and contacts switched over. When they realized I wasn't buying anything they rushed me out with all the wrong advice. Luckily I hadn't returned my original phone and went to Hicksville store. They were incredibly helpful and professional. I was able to preserve all of my data which would have been lost. read more

RUN! DO NOT USE THIS CORPORATE STORE! If you do, you better know how the system works because the salesmen will not be forthcoming. I had 3 ipad lines that were out of contract for years but the salesman DOM didn't mention this. Instead pushed promotions without divulging information that would have helped me cut my bill down. Instead of telling me to disconnect the lines that were not being used ($20 per line) he opens a new phone line as a promotion to give me a new IPAD and tells me to call verizon in 1 month after purchase to drop an old line. He could have dropped the line that day BUT he wanted to make sure I was locked in to my contract by pushing me out 1 month. He pushed a new Ipad when I told him I don't go on line at all just use it to type notes. He tells me this is a great deal and I say why would Verizon give me a new device that you say will cost me nothing... he says "you know, were really not that bad". I buy the sales pitch and get a new device I know I don't need but it's "free basically" as he stated. He also pushed GO UNLIMITED. He comes out of the backroom after they talk to their MANAGER. I understand this now. The backroom meeting is where they review your bill and then find ways to hook you into more fees and unnecesary things. He comes back to me with a piece of paper and various figures, rather than the store providing a big screen on each desk so we can see the recap of our account... we'd be educated then and that's not what they want. they have small hand-held devices that they toggle back and forth between screens. It is impossible for a customer to get a big picture. At the time I believed he was doing the right thing so I agree on GO UNLIMITED becasue the numbers he jots down can't lie..right? WRONG. I have 3 phones and a new LINE for the Ipad giving me 4 LINES required for for the $40 charge per LINE. He charges me $50. Also after I paid off my sons Iphone 7 so he could go to a Samsung, he charged a $30 for an UPGRADE stating that everyone gets this charge. I did not upgrade. I paid off the phone and went to an entirely new system. (the bundle pricing he gave me was outrageous when I checked with another Verizon store). they checked the bill too because I was so disturbed by the day. they said you have been overcharged and they should have explained the devices on the plan that should be eliminated since WI-FI gets me what I need on the Ipad, so there is no reason I should be paying an additional $60 per month...FOR YEARS. Yes this is my fault ultimately but I have been in that store at least 3 times a year and not a single person there explained that I should drop those three lines! They do not do the right thing! They are shifty-dirty-dealing car salesmen, but that's not insulting enough! I returned the Ipad and refused to pay the $35 restocking fee! I spoke to a supervisor and made sure my complaints were heard by the people waiting to be serviced (rooked!). My complaints were not contradicted so that there tells you the whole story. They know they were wrong. I got my credit but what THEY DIDN'T TELL ME -- and what they did not do--- was to clear my account of the line charges. I still would have been paying for 2 years of fees on the ipad I returned had I not investigated further. I hour and 36 minutes with customer services to figure it all out. NEVER EVER USE THIS STORE! DOM... Wow, you looked like a nice young man but I was taken, but I thank you for the lesson! read more

Terrible experience here Saturday night. It wasn't busy at all and yet it took 2 hours to exchange and buy a new phone. The staff was sloppily dressed, seemed unknowledgeable, disinterested and weren't helpful at all. The service was extremely slow and noone seemed to be working with a sense of urgency. This is in stark contrast to the Verizon stores at the Smithhaven and Walt Whitman malls where I have had good experiences. I will never return to this Verizon again. read more

I've been to this Verizon store twice. The first time was in November 2010 on a Sunday to purchase a new phone for my brother and I. The one thing that kind of blows about Verizon when it comes to purchasing a new phone is that, if the authorized account user is not present, they either have to a) add you as an authorized user or b) be present when you are ready to buy. Thank goodness my dad was able to add me as an authorized user to the account within five minutes. Once my dad authorized me, I was good to go with two new phones. The cool thing about Verizon is that if the person who you buy a phone for is not present, they can ship the phone to the person. The second time I visited was this past Sunday for two reasons. My boyfriend needed a new phone and Ray helped him and got him everything he needed. I asked Ray what I should do about my phone since I was having trouble with my droid 2 pull out keyboard. He said he would put on the list for tech support and they would check it out. I should have prepared myself for the worst tech support experience of my life as a Verizon wireless customer. A different guy comes out and I tell him that when I type using my pull out keyboard, it types a letter 7 times and when I hit the keyboard once it puts a period (you know annoying things that indicate it's time to use my manufacturers warranty). He said he would take my phone and try and "duplicate the problem." Twenty minutes later he tells me "I couldn't duplicate the problem." I'm sure you're wondering what he meant by duplicate... "I couldn't get the phone to type random letters like you said" NO! I didn't say it was typing random letters like a phone butt dialing random numbers. I never said the word random when I told him about the problem. He told me that there was nothing Verizon could do and gave me the phone number to call for a Certified Like New replacement phone. If someone would have just given me the number to call, this would have been so much easier. read more

Went to this Verizon location for a new phone......the iPhone 7. The sales rep checked my account and told me the contract for my current phone will not end until August which makes it difficult to upgrade. He left for a few moments to see what he could do. Came back with an offer.....for me to get a new phone before my contract expires, I would need to purchase a HUM or another type apparatus for my iPad. I told him that I was not interested in either product and I would only like to purchase the phone. He nicely told me that he couldn't offer me the phone without the HUM or iPad thing. He made suggestions on how to get the most out of my current phone and to wait it out until August. When I told him again that I only wanted the phone, he said there wasn't anything he could do.....this was a decision per the manager. I then went home, called Verizon, ordered a new phone and told the sales rep what had happened in the store. He apologized, typed up a complaint for me and was sending it to a district manager. To the manager of this store......My family and I have purchased all but one phone from this location. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for many,many years now but I will not be in again for any future purchases. read more

Granted there is construction going on but when someone walks in, the place is very crowded, no one comes to greet you like the store in Melville. There is no sign up sheet so no one knows who is next. The payment machinenis hidden in the corner. I had to ask another customer as all the sales people wiuld not look at you. Went in with coupon from Verizon email... salesman Ivan helped us after 20 minutes he then said that the coupon wouldn't work and I should call customer service... he had me sit on the phone another 20 minutes till I got thru to someone... he then spoke to them for 10 seconds and said yeah the manager won't honor the coupon even though the customer service rep said it could be done... then he basically hung up on the rep and went on to help another customer.... left frustrated and switched to T-Mobile... I'm pretty impressed with T-Mobile service and the price is amazing compared to Verizon .. shame on this Verizon store interesting as they do not honor corporate Verizon promotions!! I've never met a more competent, knowledgeable, and professional person . If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. I lost my phone a little while back and chalked it up to me being careless. i ended up going to this verizon store and buying a new phone. It took me a total of going into this store THREE times before I could purchase a phone. Twice I went before class, waited over an hour each time, and then finally just left because I was so irritated. The last time I went I was able to get a phone but I still had to wait over an hour and the employee helping me was extremely, extremely rude. This is not the worst part though. A week after I bought this new, very expensive phone, a neighbor walked up to me asking if I had lost my phone. He said he found my phone (to which he described to me perfectly before I had a chance to ask) next to me car one night but wasn't sure who it belonged to so he called verizon and asked them what to do with it. They told him to bring it to the closest verizon store (ie THIS STORE) and they would look up my contact information and return my phone to me. Well, low and behold when I went to the verizon store asking about my missing phone-- there was no record of it whatsoever. No note had been made on my account, no attempt to contact me, nothing. My best guess is whoever my neighbor gave the phone to took it and sold it on the side. My neighbor even called the store up after he found out and they told him they had no idea what he was talking about. Seriously though, my lost phone ended up being STOLEN by one of their employees? If that doesn't make you not want to shop somewhere else then I don't know what else would. I will never, ever go back into this store again. I would rather drive 10 miles out of my way to shop somewhere else than go here. read more
