Once the customer representative at the optimum store got off his personal phone he was able to accept my equipment but was unable to cancel my service. He did give me a phone number to call. After being on hold for over an hour, I was connected with a representative. When I attempted to cancel my Optimum service with this representative, the experience was unnecessarily stressful due to this overly aggressive individual. While I understand that retaining customers is part of their job, the level of pressure I faced was unacceptable. The representative repeatedly ignored my clear request to cancel and instead tried to convince me to stay with multiple sales pitches. Despite me stating multiple times that I had made up my mind, they continued to push, making the interaction feel more like a hard sell than a customer service call. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a drawn-out conversation filled with frustration. At one point, I had to ask repeatedly just to move forward with my cancellation. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also makes me less likely to consider Optimum in the future should I need service again. Companies should respect customers' decisions and streamline their cancellation process instead of resorting to aggressive tactics. I hope Optimum addresses this issue to improve the experience for other customers.

    You can't go by what the rep tells you in the store…read more They advertise unlimited talk, text and data and the rep in the store who works on commission, tells you yes it's totally unlimited. Then you call there costumer service department only to find out, there is a limit on data 20 gigs , that it's not unlimited. It's all about signing up as many new costumers as possible regardless of the deception.

That defect led to significant excess oil usage, including two large deliveries in a short period. Once the issue was fixed, consumption dropped immediately, so the cause was obvious. I requested a conservative $200 credit to partially offset the excess fuel cost. They offered $50 and then ignored multiple follow-ups over several weeks, ultimately repeating the same offer without addressing the issue. The installation mistake is one thing -- the lack of accountability and refusal to resolve it properly is the real problem. Would not recommend.

I have been with slomin's for years,…read moreduring this Januarys cold weather I was running of oil even though I have automatic delivery I had to give them a call they said I couldn't get a delivery in less than 5 days, I would have run out so I had to call someone else that's ridiculous. Second story I needed a burner replacement called a few people about some estimates.Slomin's was my choice because they took care of the permits and everything, they arrived with a full crew and dismantled my old burner and replaced with the new burner in a day. The crew was excellent in explaining there every move and when they left the place looked like they were never there, spotless. I would definitely recommend there installation crew but their oil service emergency delivery leaves a lot to be desired.
