Worst customer service possible. Many of the clerks are in foreign countries and not only is their English poor, but they'll interrupt you mid sentence. It takes for ever to get though and Verizon only has one song as hold music. This is designed to drive you insane. I spent 16 HOURS on the phone with them, over several days. If you have real trouble with them, go directly to the FCC and file a complaint. I did after giving them every chance to fix my problem. If there were zero stars that would be my volt. read more

I had a very poor experience with Verizon involving major billing and order issues that were never properly resolved. I contacted Verizon on 3/18/2026 to set up a new line and was given incorrect or incomplete information regarding my order and promotions. On 3/19/2026, I placed an order for two phones and a smartwatch, but the order was not handled correctly. The smartwatch was later cancelled, and I spent approximately 20 hours over multiple calls between 3/20-3/23 trying to fix ongoing issues caused by internal errors and inconsistent information from support representatives. Due to continued problems, I ported my service out on 3/23/2026 and returned all devices. Verizon confirmed receipt of the returned equipment on 3/31/2026. Despite this, I was later billed $2,083 and then sent to collections while the dispute was still unresolved and after device return had already been confirmed. I also filed an FCC complaint due to the unresolved billing issue. At this point, I am still working to have the billing corrected and the collections issue resolved. The lack of consistent communication and failure to properly process returned equipment created a very frustrating and time-consuming experience. read more

I purchased Verizon's international plan together with my brand-new Samsung 26 Ultra, after being promised that I would have a blazing-fast data connection while traveling outside the U.S. Instead, I have been dealing with Verizon for over three days with no working data and no real solution. Because my phone is locked, I am also unable to get another eSIM, which has left me stuck in a very difficult situation. I have no WhatsApp calls, no regular calls, no GPS, and I cannot use my phone at all unless I am connected to Wi-Fi. The technicians were not helpful and, in fact, made the situation worse. I called Verizon many times asking to speak with a manager, but I was never transferred to one. I also received calls from people claiming they could not hear me, only for the calls to be dropped. This has been an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. Verizon's international plan failed me when I needed it most, and the customer service did not provide the support or accountability I expected. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Verizon's international plan. read more

Switched from ATT to Verizon. Went to the Verizon store initially in Chelsea, everything went smooth, and they said it would take 3 days for iMessages to "work" ... this did not seem right but we decided to go with the flow. After waiting 3 days, nothing happened. Decided to visit this Verizon store off Wall Street, and they were able to fix the issue - but then wanted to charge us $40 for solving an issue they couldn't address at the store in Chelsea. Ultimately, they wanted to charge us for an issue they couldn't address, and said the Verizon store was totally unaffiliated with the store in Chelsea (?). Avoid this store at all costs. We are already planning to drop Verizon and switch back to ATT. read more

The salesperson is a thief, I was in a hurry and he put a $40 screen saver on my phone and $40 case and charged me for it. I asked him for the receipt and he said it takes time to come. Came to return a Verizon internet box and the man at the door buff guy with beard and bald and the woman who "assisted" me were terrible, that even a customer, AN ACTUAL CUSTOMER Intervened and said that they need to get them self together. Honestly pretty disappointed in Verizon all around. From customer service, their network, hidden fees, and overall costs, Verizon really let me down. If I had to pay premium for an outstanding network, I would've been slightly more understanding. But I'm finding I have to shut my network on and off to get reception and struggle to have it in parts of NYC over all. Once my phone is unlocked, I'm paying off my phone and heading to T-Mobile. I'm in B2B sales myself, but I've always felt if you're truly in retail or customer facing in public, you always prioritize customer service of the reps trained. I was not delivered what I was promised, the reps here didn't care about helping me post-sales, and just sees people as net new customers. Verizon, i only have three weeks left until I buy my phone outright and pay the rest of it off before I'm free of your ridiculous billing and clutches. I do not recommend at all. read more

I was then harassed to get a higher speed Internet, which I did. I can't express enough how awful this service has been my Ring Doorbell is constantly off-line and my TV is constantly buffering. Never had this problem with the lower speed Internet. Verizon should be ashamed of themselves with how much they charge loyal customers $250 a month is insanity for TV. It is $100 away from a car payment. I almost wouldn't mind if the service wasn't as poor as it is I am now in search of a new Internet company, and I will be getting rid of Verizon altogether. read more

This Verizon store is a complete waste of time. I bought a new phone, case, and screen protector here, and the rep promised me that if the screen protector cracked, I could order a replacement and bring it back for a FREE reapplication. Guess what? That was a straight-up lie. I came back today with my replacement, and these lazy excuses for employees told me I had to pay $30 to do something that takes less than a minute. Meanwhile, the store was completely empty--not a single customer in sight--yet THREE employees were just standing around, doing absolutely NOTHING. Not one of them could be bothered to help. Instead of dealing with their laziness and attitude, I went to another Verizon store, and they were shocked by how I was treated. They put my screen protector on for free, no problem--exactly how it should have been done in the first place. If you enjoy being lied to and watching employees stand around like mannequins instead of doing their jobs, this is the store for you. In October (I believe on the 14th), my family and I switched from Verizon to Spectrum Mobile. We had three phones--two Samsung S23 Fe's and one Samsung S22 Ultra--and four phone numbers, with two numbers assigned to one phone. To receive a discount on one of the phones, the salesperson at the store suggested that we open an additional line. Instead of assigning the extra line to the S23 (which received the discount), the line was mistakenly added to the S22 Ultra. A few months later, we received a bill stating we owed $442.23 for a phone that wasn't paid off, along with $15 for an additional line that remained active. I contacted Verizon multiple times to address the issue and explained that all phones and lines were paid off on the same day, and the lines were supposed to be disconnected simultaneously. Despite my efforts, Verizon continued to claim that we owed for one of the phones. After several frustrating phone calls, I eventually contacted Verizon headquarters, where the line and phone issues were seemingly resolved--or so I thought. Now, Verizon is again claiming we owe money for a phone. During previous communications, they even referenced a fourth phone, which we do not own. I repeatedly explained to them that one phone had two numbers assigned to it. After going back and forth numerous times, Verizon representatives kept telling me, "I understand, but you owe for this other phone," despite the fact that their understanding was incorrect. Spectrum requested proof that we had paid off all the phones before they would issue a buyback. I provided the necessary documents, and Spectrum confirmed receipt and issued the buyback payment. Despite this, I was contacted by a creditor today regarding the alleged unpaid balance of $442.23. I explained to them that all phones had been paid off, yet the creditor also failed to acknowledge the error and insisted that the balance was due. I got a call from Verizon, somene who said she was from corporate (but since I talked to Corporate before and this person said I didn't, I can't prove she was even from corporate. She basically said I lied, I didn't really call the corporate office and no one said that the issue was resolved. She sent me some paperwork that was supposed to show that I didn't pay for the phone but since they made a mistake by not disconnecting a line, I think they made a mistake here. Companies do make mistakes, they do make mistakes on peoples accounts, she wouldn't even admit there was an issue of this, "Since it's on our computer, It's the truth." She brought up my fathers flip phone which no one ever brought up before, she made it sound like that was the phone that needed to be paid for but my father already paid that off before he got the S23 FE. To this person I'm a lier but we were loyal Verizon customer for over 10 years and always paid our bill. I asked my father when he went to the store did he pay off the phone and he told me he did. After talking about that she said it's on of the S23 FE's that wasn't paid for, but as I said above we paid of the 2 S23 FE's and my S22 at the same time. Why would we pay off two phones and not all three, the S23 FE's from Verizon don't even work with Spectrum. I said if my father did make a mistake and bought another phone instead of going through insurance the person at the store didn't even tell him he had to go through the insurance company and not Verizon. My father is 86 years old and he signed a paper without me there. Over the weekend I was told by a lawyer friend of mine that there is a strict level requirement for someone younger to be presend when an elderly person was not of sound mind when he signed said agreement. I had to stop my father from signing agreements that would have been bad if he did so I think this also goes in that box. I recently switched my service from Verizon to AT&T. We switched because my bill would be $100 cheaper each month. They gave us free upgraded phones and they said they would pay our Verizon account off for us as long as we got them the bill. As soon as I switched services, however I could no longer get into my Verizon account to see the bill. I thought it was user error on my part. I kept trying different passwords and then I finally get an email from Verizon saying they havetaken the full amount that I owe them for the phones and the last month of service and they have taken it out of my account without approval. I turned auto pay off before I switched services. They should not have had any access to my bank account. I called Verizon several times. The first two people I spoke with told me that they would handle this for me and everything would be OK. The last person I talked to told me that I did not terminate auto pay, and therefore they could not give me a refund basically. I did turn auto pay off, but she says that there is another way that you turn off auto pay where you have to terminate it instead of turning it off. I can say with all honesty on the Verizon app the Verizon website there is no option around the auto pay button to terminate. You can either turn it on or you can turn it off. I turned it off. They should not have had access to my bank account after I turned off auto pay and switched services. So now I have -$1700 in my account right before Thanksgiving that is my next two weeks pay or more. All I needed was the last bill from Verizon so AT&T could pay it. The lady basically told me at Verizon that there was no one else I could talk to. There was no way to fix this and I was basically just out of luck because of some magic auto pay terminate button that does not exist. I feel like I was lied to by the people who talked to me the day before, and I truly feel like this is a Verizon tactic to punish people who switch services. Aren't your shareholders rich enough without hacking into peoples accounts? Sneakily turning on auto pay and locking people out of the accounts, to make things harder for people to switch to a less expensive service seems like just the kind of small print stuff the big guys would use to get all they can from the little guy. Dont show up at 10AM when it says they open unless you want to wait for a bit because they are never open on time. I have never experienced service that poor, If this review was rated on those employees unwillingness to help in any way then 5 stars because I have never experienced such a dismissive employee. No let me look in your settings to see if theres something I can do, it was almost like they were looking for any reason to not have to do their job ! I will never go to this store again instead I will go somewhere and hope to receive some better help and if my experience is similar I will most definitely find a new provider because this experience was honestly laughable and my second bad experience here at the Wall St location. read more

Not for this store specifically, but here is the letter I just wrote to Hans Vestberg, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Before you move to Verizon, consider the following - and I know of many others who have had similar struggles: Mr. Vestberg, I write to you only after hours on the telephone, in chat and in the Verizon community messenger system (communicating with Verizon representatives) trying to get problems resolved with your employees. I have been promised the problem would be resolved over and over, only to find that nothing has been done. Short version: I ordered an upgrade to my Verizon phone on July 26. When it was not ready for pick up several days later, I contacted Verizon for the first time. To be honest, I have spoken to so many employees who have made promises, I cannot take you through a clear sequence. I would encourage you to review all records of my communications on the phone, in chat and in the Verizon messenger, where you will find that I have been promised that my phone order would be completed within days, my trade-in balance would be waived, or that the order would be cancelled so I could start again. Each time the representative seemed very certain and very pleased that they had handled my problem. I asked that the issue be escalated on many occasions, and the representative I spoke to last week assured me it had been escalated and it will be taken care of. As of this writing, my account still shows that the upgraded phone is ready to be set up, despite the fact it has been neither delivered nor received. The online system will not let me make any changes to my account because of this pending issue (this has been the case since July 26). I am ready to move to another carrier - my account is basically frozen, and I have spent way too much time trying to get it resolved with Verizon's representatives. At this point, I am researching options to have this issue addressed by a governmental agency, only because I've run out of options. I also intend to transfer my service to another provider - the only reason I have not done so yet is that it will likely require a visit to a provider's store and hours more of my time. On April 1st 2025 I contacted Verizon and spoke with an agent who told me since my Verizon cloud hadn't worked for two years I would be receiving $230 to my bank account. I can tell the guy really didn't care at all what I was requesting or what I was telling him. After he promised me the $230 he told me to wait 3 to 5 business days so I did three to five business days came and just like almost everything you do with Verizon, the agent didn't take notes the agent lied to me which is extremely common now with this group of customer service workers. So now the guy promised me this money to my BANK ACCOUNT ( and not their stupid bill credit). But he didn't put any notes in the system didn't even acknowledge to anyone that I was requesting anything ( which the other agents acted like was my fault). So whenever I called back Verizon spent their time telling me I was a liar because they have no proof that I called, telling me that the agent should have put the stuff in the system and there's nothing they pay me the promised money, because their agent didn't put anything in the system. So not only did they try to make me sound like a liar they were trying to tell me it was my fault because their agent can't do his job. Even saying well if there's nothing in the system then your out of luck ( they made me edit out the S) so I requested it somebody listen to the phone call because I know they record phone calls so after I requested that all of a sudden guess what nobody could pull phone calls after telling me it would be escalated by Dixie. That's pretty convenient. So now they told me they were going to escalate it which is a basic answer from every single Verizon customer service agent you talk to. They never escalated it even though they say they will. So on top of Verizon lying to me and telling me I would get $230 to my account they offered me $30 off my bill and told me that's the best they could do except it or too bad. Well you know what they can do with that right? So I spoke to a customer service representative manager named Dixie. Dixie assured me that I would 100% get what I was promised. Well all of a sudden you'll never believe this but the manager Dixie decided not to put notes in. Surprise surprise so nobody's listen to the phone call Three agents one of them being a manager / supervisor lied to me. So I called back 14 days later on April 15th 2025. The people I spoke with told me there was nobody to listen to the phone calls for one and nobody would have ever told me that I was getting $230 back into my bank account. So after being promised two weeks ago that I would get $230 to my account four different agents have told me four different things on top of the one guy telling me I would get my money. So whenever I talk to the last person they basically told me you got lied to by our customer service representative and it doesn't matter that they lied to you the $230 was something he told to you he was going to give you so you shut your mouth and not ask for it again so now they are okay with their customer service agent lying to me and promising me something that I still haven't received and they are okay with Dixie lying to me and promising me and nobody will pull these phone calls. It's because they know I was promised it and in typical Verizon fashion they lie to get you off the phone to get you to not ask questions and not only do they not want to talk to you about it, if you raise your voice any at all and even say this is not right, they will just hang up on you they will ignore you and also if they don't agree with what agent said on April 1st they will just flat tell you it's your fault it's your fault that the agent didn't put the notes in the system it's your fault that you were promised that and they don't do that for customers.The last agent basically told me you either take what we give you or you don't get anything. And they also told me we don't care what the first agent promised you that doesn't matter. So once again in typical Verizon form they don't put in the notes in the system they lie to their customers and this has been the way it's been since I've been with Verizon for going on almost 20 years. Every time you need something like this from Verizon you have to jump through hoops and spend hours and hours and hours on the phone with these people. And then when you talk to the next agent you have to start all over again and it takes 30 40 minutes to explain everything and then they act stupid. This is unacceptable but unfortunately this is the way it will continue to be. and as everyone knows it's too expensive to take them to court and Verizon is very well aware of this. So they know it's okay to lie they know it's okay to rip you off they know it's okay to act like they do because nobody will do anything about it. I had fraud on my account since mid February Verizon notified me Fraud and was supposed to be taken care of everything, but unfortunately, someone dropped the ball the phones and iPad and they tried to bill my account for over $1000 at one point they snatched $856.31 out of my account illegally which caused my account to go in overdraft and my daughter school tuition was in that money where she couldn't go back to school for two days waiting on the money to be refunded. In ongoing with Verizon they credit me back the money but also still had my account in the negative. They said it was for the cycle through and only be two months I was credited for March and April by one guy and then May my bill will go to a certain amount and then will hold at 1:20 from then or out. I spoke with a supervisor today and she was rude and unhelpful. She backtracked and also said I had to pay the bill from March and April which was 322 total and the guy the other day wave march in April because my phone lines were disconnected two to 3 times and money was illegally snatched out my account and everybody is putting the blame on everybody else from fraud to accounts to everything else. I'm highly upset and highly unsatisfied with Verizon unprofessionalism. I have Notes dating back from February 19 in your system, and I thought the conversation was supposed to be recorded for training purposes's experience with Verizon I have the worst experience with Verizon and I have home and mobile for the last two years. The sad part about it is everybody about their service, but I was with cricket for eight years and had not one problem and had a decent amount of service for the price. I just had to pay to get my service reinstated, and then I have to pay a chunk of money in seven more days to keep my service going, so Verizon corporate can't get this problem solved. I will take all my money elsewhere. I can get a cheaper, Internet service other than the hundred dollars. I'm paying with Verizon now. Phone service other than the 661 that y'all me on where I previously got on at 139 with Apple Pay. So to make this long story short, I'm not feeling too good about Verizon moving forward. Had my appt for installation today. Only to get an email thanking me for rescheduling at a better time for me a week later. I never rescheduled. I ordered the 2g's highest internet and apparently the infrastructure is not up and they can't install. I will be loosing my job this week because I have no WiFi. Not one rep told me about this and a supervisor Chris told me the system showed it was ready for installation but in fact was not. Now I'm out a job and Verizon's only way to fix it it to offer first month free. I don't know what that's going to do when I can't feed my kid or myself. Thanks a lot Verizon. Generous two-star award only because it's close it my home. Decided to pick up rather than have two new iPhones delivered during high-doorstep theft holiday season. Was eyeballed by an associate at the front of store, if it weren't for his shirt I wouldn't know if he was an employee or a customer from his lack of engagement. Was met by a miserable looking older Caucasian female with glasses and long dark hair, no greeting just a stare. I let her know I was there to pick up my phones. She asked for ID, which I provided and she retrieved my phones. I got a "here", she left the bag and my ID on the deck and walked away. I've received more emotion and connection from an ATM. Will take a chance and have any future purchases delivered if this is the type of experience in-person provides. read more

Verizon is without a doubt the WORST company. It's disappointing to say this because I've been a happy Verizon mobile customer up until about a month ago. I recently added internet to my plan, I was told that I would receive a better deal than what I was paying with my other internet provider and a lower overall bill. Since I hadn't experienced any issues with Verizon I saw no reason why I shouldn't jump at such a killer deal. Less than 2 months into my service my wifi box stops working. I called Verizon and after several attempts to troubleshoot the box I was told to go into the nearest store and pick up a new one. Go there only to be told it has to be shipped to me. It's been 3 weeks and I've called Verizon 4 different times and still have no internet! Every time I call it takes them to forever to find out why my wifi box hasn't arrived yet and every time I'm given a different excuse, yet no clear answer as to when it will actually arrive. At one point I was told my order had been flagged and sent to the fraud department (?) but that I would receive it by the end of the week. Then I was told that the box was currently on backorder, but was not told when it would be back in stock. I wish I was joking about this, but I'm not... I was also told that I could have internet again within 24 hours if I added another line to my account HA! I'm so fed up I don't even want to bother with Verizon anymore, but when I tried to cancel my service I was told that I would be charged a buyout fee for cancelling early LOL! As an internet provider how do they honestly expect me to stay with them when I'm being charged for internet that I can't use? And the fact that not one person I've talked to see's how unbelievably absurd this whole situation has been is beyond me. You better believe I've filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. It would be one thing if there was a week delay or there was an error on their end and I was consistently told the same thing, but I get a different story every time and a different promise that my box will arrive by such and such date. I received great customer service. I first entered and tried to use the express locker as I selected on an online purchase for my phone pickup method but that didn't work. A sales rep closing out a purchase for another customer informed me that the express pickup purchases reset if not picked up in 72 hours (including weekends where they are closed). I recently had a two month old phone stolen. Obviously, a nightmare situation. Cherise and Eddie, the General Manager, absolutely saved my life. Cherise explained the situation to Eddie, and Eddie worked through various scenarios. He not only saved me from having to take out a loan, but we did it in a way that actually made my plan better. My daughter now has a cute Gizmo she loves, and I can track and communicate with her through it. Besides solving my issue, they helped me get through most my negativity over what had happened. This store is run and manned by folks who care, and their level of relationship success marks this a top quality establishment. The Verizon store I used to go to was ho hum and often took forever. Deceptive Business Practice at its Worst I'm the CTO for a Boise, Idaho nonprofit, and we had need for an interim Internet solution while our regular provider Cable One pulled a cable to our new office. I contacted Verizon and was told about their MiFi JetPack hotspot with an unlimited data plan, and was assured it would provide 25 GB of data at LTE speeds before throttling back to 3G speeds. Researching on the Internet, I found the following: "After 22GB of usage, Mobile Hotspot speeds will be reduced to speeds up to 600 Kbps until your next bill cycle." I figured we could live with .6 Mbps in the short term, so we signed up for the plan. About two weeks into our service period, we received an email from Verizon. stating: "Below is a summary of your current usage for mobile number 208-954-####. After 22GB of usage, Mobile Hotspot speeds will be reduced to speeds up to 600 Kbps until your next bill cycle." I immediately started receiving calls from employees complaining that our internet was down. I ran a speed test and saw we were getting ~.04 Mbps (or 40 Kbps) up and down. I called Verizon and was told that throttling could be anywhere from 40 Kbps up to 600 Kbps based on network traffic in your area, and the amount of time you've had an account, and that there was nothing they could do about it. In fairness to Verizon, they did offer to refund all of our fees paid to date, but not until I threatened to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Idaho Attorney General. But Verizon is still guilty of gross misrepresentation by marketing a data plan as unlimited when it becomes unusable after the cap. No one would sign up for such a plan if Verizon was truthful and warned that after the cap was reached, the hotspot could reduce to dial-up modem speeds and be for all intents and purposes unusable for all but 1980s era text based applications. This is a typical Verizon Wireless store. They have good displays and an open feel to their store (lots of windows). No matter what, make sure you find the employee with the tablet as soon as you walk in or you won't get in the customer service or sales queue. I have had to wait no matter what time I went in (mid-morning, afternoon, after work), so be prepared for your transaction to take a while. It is always busy. The manager was very helpful to me in returning an online phone purchase I had made. She made it very simple and took care of everything from canceling the account to sending the phone back to the warehouse. If I find her business card, I'll update this review with her name. They get an extra star in this review just for her. When I came in to buy an iPhone 6 for my wife though, I wish they had just told me what they were sold out of up front so that I didn't have to wait in the queue for 20 minutes so they could tell me they didn't have the phone she wanted. read more

What a wonderful company that really cares about its customers. I said so a little over a year ago and things have changed for the better. I stayed longer than I should. After service continued to go south with static and completely dead, I made the decision to dump Verizon for good. I also had the pleasure of talking with billing about my final bill. Out of the goodness of their heart they credited me $6.67 for five days without service. Just can't say enough about this wonderful company. Employees should be proud working for a top-notch corporation. read more

Terribly dishonest business people that work in this branch. I came in tonight to purchase an Apple lightning dongle piece. I was charged $21.78 by the salesman and given a credit card receipt. He hands me the dongle with no packaging whatsoever, no box, no wrapper. I asked for a store receipt for my purchase in case of a malfunction and he assured me it works and he said he will need to ring me up for it then. While waiting, I googled the Apple price and it is $9 so I asked why their price is so much higher than the Apple Store, and he said I purchased a warranty on the product! What kind of dishonest business is this? How do you sell me a warranty without telling me? How do you sell merchandise with no packaging and no receipt? IF I did have a problem, how would I use said warranty without receipt?? How do I know if this item is authentic, new, not used or malfunctioned? When I asked for a refund, he said no refunds on accessories. Are you serious, like do I look like a fool? I didn't leave the store, you just sold it to me 2 minutes ago and you didn't even ring me up for it. Another associate then came over to give me the refund after seeing how upset I got. Shady store with sketchy salespeople. Didn't get his name because he was not wearing a name tag but stay away from this store. Zero stars. First and last time I step foot in this location. read more

SHAME Verizon refuses to give us the rebate that they promissed us for one of our trade in iphones even though they have it documented in the computer comments that they tricked us into adding another line by promising to give us a rebate for upgrading to a new iphone XR. Verizon is a bully and a scam for doing this to a first responder. Shame on verizon for not giving us $our promotional $300 rebate for upgrading to a new iphone. After 5 hours on the phone with their supervisors since Christmas they now lie and say that they never had holiday promotions.
