This review dedicated to NAV only and not AT&T! I had a terrible experience with AT&T for over two months, trying to transfer my phone to my own account from my father-in-law's account. I was bounced around between stores, and nobody could help me. Then I met Nav at an AT&T store. Nav was incredible!! He spent several hours trying to help me, going above and beyond. Even though the transfer still didn't work because AT&T's system is a complete mess, Nav did everything he could even above his capacity! He was so dedicated and kind. Unfortunately, AT&T's system failed completely, and I was forced to switch to Verizon. I believe AT&T lost me as a customer, I doubt I will consider to give it another chance and come back. The whole process was miserable and I was so traumatized, but I want to highlight Nav's amazing customer service!! You can tell he loves people and he loves his job! If you need help, go to this store and ask for Nav. He will do his best to help you, even if AT&T's system is a mess. Thank you, Nav, from the bottom of my heart for your effort and great service! Stores seem like they will say anything to get a customer. I went to this store to ask about changing carriers. I only went in there to get information because I live in Jersey City. Sami told me I didn't need a new sim card and I could change carriers over the phone. Sami gave me his card to call him at the end of the month. When I called him from my home in Jersey City, he told me I had to come into his store and that I had misunderstood him. When I told him I was in Jersey City, he told me that Greenwich Village was not far from Jersey City. He also said that I could come into his store to get service after I got a Sim Card at a Jersey City location. This is ridiculous. read more

I am LIVID. In store, I was thrilled with the service. Then I go home and find out that all of the things they told me about the sale were WRONG. I ended up with an extra phone line somehow- all I needed was my phone replaced. They also basically PUSHED a tablet on me, saying it was not going to be a monthly charge as it was just an added bonus to purchase in store and I could use with wifi. I declined a couple of times, then ended up taking it because the gentleman kept saying "there will be no extra fees to your account, you'd be silly not to take it!". Lo and behold, $50 worth of extra charges this month. In addition, the monthly charges for my phone were more than I was told in store (not counting the fees and such). I do not know if the salesperson was miseducated about this himself or what, but now I've spent the entire morning on the phone with AT&T sorting this out. read more

It's been about a year and a half since these guys helped me out with my phone and purchase, but they left such a good impression that I always knew I would give them a good review whenever I could. The reason for the delay? I didn't know which store I received the service from. My daughter was doing a project at NYU that Summer and I came up to visit with her and decided she needed a new phone. We both ended up buying iPhones and despite some difficulties, mostly caused by AT&T's past set up of my account, these guys went above and beyond to patiently take care of us, their customers. Wow, these guys are super professional and know their business. It was great to have someone like that to talk to. I had the grandfathered unlimited plan and was happy but wanted to know about the new plans offered because I've been updating my iPhone's and wanted to make sure I understood how all the new tech. worked with my current service. I also liked the idea that finally I would be able to have my phone be a hot spot. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION, WORST AT&T EXPERIENCE EVER! They tall and hunky guy here is very rude to customers (forgot his name, but he seems to be the manager). It's unbelievable that he literally told us to 'get out of the store'!! Even if we exchanged roles and suppose I were the AT&T staff, his attitude would prove him to be a really tough customer, not to mention he was supposed to provide service to me! I wanted to add a new line to my family plan, while the other guy working there who was very nice helped us waive the deposit, this 'manager' came and told us we were no longer able to have the 10GB plan because now we have 10 people on the plan, and we had to switch to the 15GB option which cost more. That's a strange policy because 10GB for 10 lines seem to make sense, so I asked him to show me the actual policy and he started to get very impatient. He showed us some strange warning he got in the system and when asked for the 'actual' policy provided by at&t, he basically started to yell at us and said we could go to a different store! What an altitude! We tried to be polite and when my friend asked him to at least show us some other data options in the dropdown list, other than the 15GB he tried to sell us, he refused it and said: 'This is my system and I don't want to show it to you'. He kept saying that we should be satisfied with the fact that the deposit was waived, and I said 'I know, I already thanked him.' (referring to the first guy), and that seemed to irritate him as he said 'so you're on me?', ready to start a fight. He said 'you can go to another location! I don't want to sell it to you! Just go to the other AT&T store nearby and pay for the deposit and the 15GB plan!', and threw the phone back to us!! Why he is so rude and proud is beyond me. But it turned out that, when we went to the other store near the 17th street, the staff were very nice and not only waived our deposit but also said we could keep the 10GB plan (they never brought up the 15GB plan in the first place), and when they checked the system they helped us to realize that the previous rude guy added a double data plan without our consent, and if we did not pay attention, the next bill would be 170 dollars higher!!! I understand every salesman wants to 'trick' their customers to some degree in order to sell more, but please at least do that with some smile and do not initiate a fight with your customer! The rude guy at this store treated us like idiots because he thought we would not only want to pay a higher price but also were willing to accept his bad temper. Very bad experience. read more

Nav and Sammy were seriously awesome! I came in sort of confused and annoyed that AT&T is forcing everyone into NEXT plans and they were very patient with me, really taking the time to explain how it works and reassure me that it would not cost more in the long run. As a bonus, and perhaps because I'm a student and was reluctant to buy a glass protector, Nav generously threw it in for free, and Sammy put it on for me. Great customer service :) They were also super friendly and made nice conversation while we waited for everything to transfer. I've had many negative experiences with AT&T, and am really grateful to have found a store that I would be glad to return to. The location on 17th was NOT this friendly (and also out of rose gold phones and unable to tell me when they'd be back). Walk the extra few minutes and go to these guys instead. read more

Well, where to start, what it seem to be an exciting process, not only was mentally stress, but a journey, upgrading to a brand new phone, of course trying to get the best deal. Pixel 6 pro was not choice as not available at store on 15 days delivery "I should had taken that" to the pixel 6 available 2 hours... Not only the app, but the entire at&t system is antiquated, and not at all on costumer satisfaction, not a app glitch made me repeat the order, but the marathon on trying to getone of them cancel, to giving up half way, on to pick up the phone. ... On an app error fraud hold. To the 12 hours it took and 4 different departments to get a girl who not even at turtle mode can be understandable which surprising after 2 hours call fixed the issue ... NOT HELPFUL! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! 11/22/2014: After purchasing an iphone at this location- I was promised my phone would be delivered in 2 business days. I never received my tracking # so I was unable to track my package after a WEEK (that's FIVE business days) of not receiving my phone. Having faith in the human kind, I gave it another few days before I got very angry. 12/3/14: I called the location (7 times before someone picked up) and asked where my phone was. They directed me to call FEDEX to find my phone. That's it... They did not offer ANY help in finding my phone, they did NOTHING to support me in the search of my phone. So now I am without a phone and am forced to sit on the phone with FEDEX to solve a problem I did not create. After working MANY service jobs in my life, here is my rule: IT IS YOUR JOB TO GET THE PRODUCT YOU ARE SELLING TO YOUR CUSTOMER. IT IS NOT THE CUSTOMERS JOB TO GET THE PRODUCT TO THEMSELVES. Amazing customer service- I won't bore you with the details but I spent about 3 hours on the phone with multiple Apple customer service representatives in order to get my new phone to sync. It was incredibly frustrating. I had just bought the phone before heading home thinking I could let the thing sync while I headed out for some food. Wrong! My computer didn't even recognize the new phone. That was only the beginning of a quagmire I am still sorting out on my computer. After getting nowhere with Apple, In desperation I called back the store where I bought my new iPhone (RIP my old 5s, cracked screen and all) even though it was almost closing time and Sammy told me he'd wait for me and help me transfer the data (after the store had closed!!) and sat there with me - transferred my files from my old phone to my new one in about 15 minutes. If only I had done it in store instead of thinking I could out wit "El Capitain" OS X. Both Sammy and Damian (who originally helped me) were professional, incredibly knowledgable (especially about iPhones) and Sammy even had all the new software updates set up and downloaded on his computer in anticipation of the new OS software update to all iPhone 6s's ( don't ask me why a new phone out of the box needs a software update to function - I guess the days of Elegant simplicity are gone at Apple).... Regardless he was helpful, professional, kind and went the extra mile after hours to get me sorted and now I'm happily home and not talking to another Apple "Genius". 6 stars for keeping a positive attitude while I ranted away. Great store! If you need anything, the staff here, particularly the gentleman who helped me, was more than helpful and knowledge about his products. I needed to purchase an eSim card (more specifically the QR CODE) to put both my business and personal numbers into one phone. No store in my area (Hell's Kitchen) had it. I even called AT&T. They sent me a regular SIM card. No help at all. I finally spoke to a store in midtown who told me to call the corporate store on 17th & 6th. I went there only to find that they were closed on a Saturday at 11 am. Anyway, if you have AT&T and want to avoid ignorant employees with attitudes (which I've had in the past from other locations), go here. This will be my go to store. Wow - Haisam helped me switch to AT&T sooooo easily after going to 2 other At&T stores and leaving frustrated and without my problem solved. Two other store managers told me that I couldn't port over from Verizon without certain information which I was willing to give them and Haisam took the time to figure it out with me on the phone with AT&T and Verizon! By far the best phone store in NYC. AT&T as a carrier is fantastic but honestly, all stores sell the same products. What makes a great store are the people that work there. Specifically, this store has an owner that is on-site most of the time and employees that he has personally vetted and approves as he has to work with said employees all day. This allows him to oversee the staff but also wants employees that he personally enjoys being around and it shows in their attention to detail along with the willingness and cares the show on a customer to customer basis. I have not only experienced this personally but have witnessed this the many times I have needed to see them. Whether it's buying a new phone or asking questions about issues I'm am experiencing with my iPhone they are always knowledgable and just truly helpful. They usually have great deals on cases and things of that nature which is just an added benefit. Keep it up guys and I will be seeing you for my future phone needs! read more

This place is so eager to sell! But not deal with any billing issues.. Has anyone found it nasty to have 5GE on their phones? Why did LTE come off and 5GE replace it? Are we to believe that AT&T really has 5G. Per my talk with Apple, it's BS. It's not 5G and all phones that they currently have are not 5G compliant. So, in fact, if you think you can use your current latest iPhone for 5G service, you're wrong. I have contacted AT&T and they said it's pre-5G! Do they think everyone's stupid. I made my choice. I'm switching carriers. Most likely Verizon. The coverage is my only concern. I have been charged for being in countries I never even set foot in, such as Afghanistan. My flight crossed over it, and I was charged for roaming. That isn't the first time. AT&T will never admit to flaws in their system, and they hate refunding anything. Yes! First time I went to this store, I was buying a new phone. My experience was fine. Second time, which was last week, I was passed around by three different people. I understand phone calls come up but it was very frustrating. The first guy was very helpful, patient, and nice. Unfortunately the last one had a weird attitude and ended up cutting me off and just giving me the number to customer service. There's a reason why I went to your store. Because I want to talk to people in person. He also gave me incorrect and inconsistent information with other stores. Or if it's correct, please use your third party software and unlock my phone. I hit the jackpot when I walked into the AT&T store at 12th Street and 6th Avenue in Greenwich Village. Sami and Nav were the most efficient, communicative, and helpful professionals I've ever dealt with regarding technology or phone service period, and my cell phone service has been with AT&T for over a decade. I hadn't changed phones in four years and wasn't even totally sure I wanted to upgrade yet (I've been very happy with my iPhone 6), but with Sami's and Nav's guidance, I was able to navigate the process of getting "the ten" (iPhoneX) with clarity and assurance. I actually enjoyed the process! Can you believe that? I'll put it this way: it was 8pm on a Wednesday night; en route to the grocery store, I stopped in just to see what my options might be; we got the whole transition and transaction done by 8:30, and I left with even more energy than I arrived with. I was in a hurry to get a replacement for my broken phone, and while the main person who set up my new phone was nice, he upsells everything. Before I knew what was happening I walked out with a 32 when all I needed was a 16.... He also opened up a screen guard, slapped it on, and charged me for it before I even agreed. Much later when I looked at my monthly bill, he'd signed me up for insurance and some other feature that I hadn't agreed to for an extra $10 a month. It wasn't itemized on my receipt at all... If you go here, just watch everything, question everything, and get everything in writing. I was in too much of a hurry. read more
