I had the unfortunate experience of having an employee by the name of Cesar assist me. I came in and specifically asked if I could get a free phone or a discount WITH THE CURRENT PLAN I HAVE. Cesar asked me if I wanted to save $20 a month and said I was being overcharged. I asked if it changed my plan. Cesar replied that 'new savings plan' would be locked in for three years and then, it could change. I replied no, my plan is paid for me (my son in-law pays), so I can't make a decision to change the plan. Again, I asked if I'm eligible for a discount or free phone. Cesar rudely replied I already said no. Because he is an employee of few words, I know he did not share that. I shared he did not bring up the phone, just the savings plan. Cesar's response was, this conversation is over. No eye contact and dismissive. I kindly told Cesar, being kind to customers is important, and arguing is not. Then I left. If this is the one Next to the Rubio's on College Blvd then the only thing I can say is the rep was friendly. This is NOT a Verizon store. It is a "Victra" that is a reseller. That's not an issue if they did not try to rip you off. Here's what they did: Added Assurion insurance with zero mention or approval from me the customer. Charged for an activation fee. Resellers are NOT allowed to do that. Verizon direct ADDS that to your bill and it is not the business of the reseller. They got the $1,000 phone promo completely wrong and instead put in some 37 credit per month for the perfectly good Samsung I did turn in. So 4 things wrong. That lead to 4 phone calls with Verizon direct to straighten out these incorrect iterations of the bill. WARNING: Go to a corporate Verizon store only. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL! I waited 15 minutes for help - manager came and told me to go to his employee who was on the phone. When I approached him, he walked away to another room still on the phone and never returned. The Manager (Johnny) asked if I was being helped and when I told him that I was being ignored, he copped an attitude and said "I can refuse you service - in fact I AM refusing you service" in other words "Get Out". I asked if there was another store close by in Oceanside and he told me to go to Carlsbad. Didn't mention the one on Oceanside Blvd. where I received great service. Where I received excellent service. I suggest that you re-staff this Mission store. I've also posted my comments on YELP. Further, I wrote this review on Verizon's official site and they sent back a canned insincere "apology" and called me Ashlie. Athena was not friendly, not talkative, didn't engage in conversation, and while we were waiting for confirmation to confirm that I was indeed the one who was on the account, she was texting on her personal phone for literally 3 minutes without saying anything . Great customer service. To be honest I was a little worried coming in because I've been to other Verizons to troubleshoot and they told me to call customer service. My iPad Pro's data plan stopped working for some reason and I needed the issue resolved. As soon as I entered Dylan greeted me and helped me out. No hesitation or pushback. i was on at&t for years i want to try new company and when i contact the store, they give me a store bunisse manager eddie he made an appointment and even came to my store and give him my old bill and toll him i want the same lines and same payment plan he toll me he will do that and give all this good deals to tranfers all my lines and business. even when to store and spend 2 hours with him. well finally we tranfer everything to verizon and return my 2 iphones and one table .. they suppost it start getting all credits on the 2 months but is being over 6 months and no credits .. i call eddie several time and never return my calls i call the store and the owner never there i left a message try to reach anybody but not help.. i try to call costumer service and because victra is no a direct store of verizon is a retail store that only allows to selll verizon lines. they toll me i need to contact the owner but i when several time to get the owner or some can help even send him an email and never repond is the worse coustumer service i ever had. so becarful ..i hope the owner see this. read more

Terrible...I didnt get a print out of my receipt for payment of my bill which doesn't seem like a big deal, and it shouldn't be a big deal, however, the way I was treated about it in the end was uncalled for. From the side of the building this looks like an actual legit Verizon store but its terrible. I came back in for a receipt that I was never given. The guy tried to lie and said that I turned down the receipt when I did not, I turned down a contract for a personal mobile device. I just thought I could come back to get the forgotten receipt as I cant and have never been able to log in to my own account to see my bill & to be honest I'm just sick of paying Verizon wireless blindly and being charged additional money for them to pay by phone without them even attempting to fix my account. The situation is so bad I have never received an email from Verizon when I initially signed up because something is seriously wrong with the account and it may be a problem for IT that failed to remedy the situation at Verizon corporate. My review isn't based on Corporate issues but solely the attitude of the guy who helped me who seemed nice at first, UNTIL I came back in for a receipt. On my way out of the store he had to be a "smart guy" I could have been rude back but who wants to be low vibrating at the start of 2023? Why would I not want my receipt after I paid? Btw, the guy helping me hung up on the Verizon representative when I initially came in. How do you hang up on corporate who is assisting you to assist me?...He then blamed her but turns out its really him ( I won't name drop, however he is the guy from Tennessee with a country "twang" or dialect). Terrible experience at this specific location. I am normally not one to ever give a 1 star, because I work in customer service and understand that things happen. However, my experience calls for the one star. Came in on a Sunday morning to trade in my phone and to do an upgrade. John the sales associate was nice and willing to do whatever it took. John had great customer service. Maybe a half hour later the store manager Michael walked in, just his presence gave a bad vibe. His employee's acknowledged that he came in and he just nodded his head. Then he sat at a computer and watched the football game on his phone. The game was loud and John kindly walked over and had to turn it down. After asking him a few questions because he is the manager and is the one who makes decisions, he tried to walk away and say "I am not in this conversation". He has horrible customer service skills and was extremely rude. Really disappointed that being a long time customer with Verizon that I was treated this way. Overall after a few visits and straightening things out, I've had good customer service and the store manager and district manager made everything right. They offer great deals but make sure to be skeptical and discreet about what contracts you sign up for. The younger workers are wanting to push sales and not the most direct in what you're signing up for so make sure before you leave they tell you your monthly bill and everything you're signing up for. Had a problem with my phone. Spoke breifly with customer service on the phone and was getting frustrated with the tech coach app guy on the other end. I went into this location explained to the lady i was having issues with my phone and the tech guy and asked help for a solution or help me get a replacement phone. She was very confused from the beginning and just said we do not do anything like that here and have to call customer service again. I am a very face to fave person when it comes to business or problems. The fact she didn't want to help me from the moment i walked in is not good business. Came in on 8/29/17 with a bit of a complicated order and Dakota was exceptional. She took her time to explain the options and understand the process for completing our order. Thanks to the rude and horrible customer service of this location, I am switching cellular carriers. As of November 25th, I would extremely advise anyone to avoid this location at all costs. The workers here are rude and have zero customer service experience. I've been to this location three times now as I've been trying to lower my bill or figure out my options if I decided to go with another carrier. Each time, the workers (who were name wearing name tags) were reluctant to offer any way to lower my bill and kept having to ask their coworkers for advice on what they should say to us. We left feeling like nothing was accomplished except them pushing us to buy a new phone to 'fix' our plan so it could be lower. Their rude and seemingly incompetent help pushed us to look into different carriers. When we went in today to get advice on switching carriers or at least have them attempt to keep us with Verizon, Samantha(worker) took a moment to speak with us while training a new worker was extremely short with us when Samantha found out we were looking into switching. I have come to this store several times and have always had wonderful service... which is why I gave it 2 stars... Until today.... I was sold a package when I bought my phone, they said I could get as many screen protectors as I needed, and today I needed one. As I walked into the store, I was greeted with a scowl from a woman who was clearly not concerned with helping a customer. She was curt, rude and short with me. Snapping at me like I was a child. She said they could not replace my protector without the broken one. I politely explained that I had sent the old phone to insurance for a new one because the broken screen was causing the phone to malfunction. She said, "we won't give you another one without the broken one," mind you I paid $80 for this "service" and a new protector is seriously like $10. If she hadn't been such a rude condescending b*tch, I actually would've just bought another one and thought nothing of it, and continued on my way. However, now I will not return to that store ever again, nor will I ever purchase any products from them again. I would advise the manager to get rid of her, before she messes up any more of your sales. I'm a super easy going person so if she can make me this upset I can't imagine how miserable she has made other people. Thankfully, I will be fine, I just ordered a new one from Amazon because they actually appreciate their customers, and this mistake has just become a good opportunity for me to learn to never go to this store again. People like this is the reason why retail is dying. *Update* 9/13/18 the manager of the store Michael contacted me and was just the most kind, thoughtful and considerate person. I came in on a Sunday to see what my options were in getting a new phone. My iPhone 8 was acting up. Kevin helped me out and answered any questions I had about comparing phones and costs. I ended up upgrading and ordering my new phone. He called me when my phone came in. He even updated me when it would arrive so I could come in as soon as they received it. I was running late to our time we scheduled. He was very understanding and told me to take my time! Very polite. I got there and he took great care of me! I was probably there for about an hour to get everything set up. That's pretty damn good, if I might add. He is very conversational and easy to talk to! I have been a Verizon customer for years and it's always been hit or miss. I went into other Verizon stores and was NEVER told that I had an extended warranty on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ that had issues almost immediately after I purchased it a year ago. Well, that all changed when I went into this store and met Andrew, the store manager. He informed me of my extended warranty and took care of EVERYTHING...even a few days later when Verizon sent me the WRONG replacement phone, he immediately had it taken care of. Andrew is by far the most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable employee I've ever dealt with at ANY Verizon store or department. Walked around the store and put extra chargers in our bag and screen protectors on our phones. He said it was all free with the discounts he was using. Luckily, I went back and checked the receipt after I got home - he charged us for everything as well as signed us up for $80 screen protector plans (life time guarantee). Absolutely corrupt business practices so he could get paid on selling every item for commission. Don't go here. It is more expensive and they cheat. If you go here, check your receipt and know you're paying an extra $80 just by walking in the door to have them get you a phone.... read more
