I recently was attempting to spin up a new device and line on my Verizon account for my son. I started online, and was disappointed when that didn't work out. Although reluctant to make the trip and go through a maze of sales pitches, I made an appointment and swung in to this physical store. Boy, am I glad I did! I arrived a couple minutes early for my appointment, and to my surprise, there was zero wait and an employee honored my reservation and began assisting right away! To be completely honest, it was the most straight-forward, simple, quick mobile phone appointment of my life! We accomplished everything I needed, quite quickly, zero sales pitches. I even got a BETTER mobile plan than the one I was aiming for walking through the door! Needless to say, I was super, super impressed with the experience, and it definitely solidified my loyalty to Verizon! I was in and out in 15 minutes with everything I needed and a better plan than I hoped for! read more

Was told the absolute best option was to add on another line and keep my old phone. It was explained that this would keep my bill around the same or even cheaper. Came by to see what Verizon offers. Unfortunately, they were understaffed. There were two employees a gentleman and a lady and it just seemed like they were very busy. People did not stop coming in. They close at 8 and the store still had lots of people inside. I honestly felt bad for the two employees. We came in around 7:15 to just ask a question and we just asked if they kick you out. The gentleman indicated we could stay as long as we want. The lady did lock the doors at 8:06 we were finally waited on and the service was very poor. At&t keeps my business. Verizon has changed their cost structure such that their stores are understaffed and you cannot reach a customer service rep over the phone and instead are seemingly intentionally made to deal only with their automated phone service, which is terrible in my opinion. read more

I highly recommend this Verizon location, specifically Allen! This guy was extremely helpful in getting my account separated, then helping to get me a new upgrade. He listened to what I needed and recommended great options. As someone who has worked in the sales industry I greatly appreciated the product knowledge and customer service Allen had! I went to upgrade 2 phones. No one explained what the "setup and go" fee was really about - but after googling, I would suggest you save your money and set it up yourself. The first guy tried to upgrade my plan saying he found me a deal - but I didn't need an upgraded plan to get the phone deal they had emailed to me. he then just assumed I wanted certain accessories, and was annoyed when I questioned what he had already prepared in terms of a bull for those. finally, one phone had issues activating and it took more than 24 hours to complete the process. I'm still trying to get a refund on the "Setup and go" fee since that clearly didn't happen. I intend to return 2 of the accessories that I don't really want/need. And the camera lens protectors he initially sold me were for the wrong model and did not fit - so that also resulted in a refund. read more

The thing I hate most about Verizon stores is their inability or lack of desire to actually fix a problem. I came in this afternoon asking for help with a screen protector problem. It was the screen protector that Verizon carries (pricey at $40) and swears by. However, the second that it is out of the 14 day warranty with their store, they pass the buck to someone else and say that the problem is now out of their hands. I experienced this this afternoon and each time I walk into a storefront with a problem. I have now been referred back to my "home" Verizon store. I anticipate when I walk into that store I will yet again be referred again. It is disappointing that customer service makes the customer feel like shit. read more

This is the second time I've been in the store in three years. They have the worst customer service of any store that I've ever been in. It felt like it was an inconvenience that I broke up their huddle because no one else was in the store. They wanted no part of me trying to trade in my phone at the store while I was there and told me to do it online. I promise I will never enter this store again. I understand there are corporate rules and policies but her lack of desire to assist was felt in great magnitude. I am very glad that my personal cell phone is with another provider. So I've been with Verizon for at least 15 years now, and we have minor issues through the years. However, I now question if we should continue this relationship. Backing up to late-December 2017...my husband and I traded in our old Android phones for Google's phones. Mine is the Google Pixel 2 while my husband's is the Google Pixel 2 XL. The startup process was a little touch-and-go at first, but we're smooth sailing... ...until yesterday. His phone suddenly restarts and gives him what could be considered the Google "Blue Screen of Death." After finishing up work for the day, he heads to this Verizon store for help. Just our luck! There's a Google rep IN THE STORE! Only, he looks at the phone and tells him to do the "manufacturer thing." When my husband pushed for more information, the rep shrugged and told him to talk to Verizon. The Verizon rep at first promised to send a new phone to my husband in the next 3 to 5 days. When my husband asked why he couldn't just pick up a new phone in the store, the rep became hostile and snapped that they only do that if he would buy a new one. Oh, that's right - my husband would be getting a refurbished phone. Note: This phone is three months old at this point! Not only that, but Verizon has us automatically charged monthly for some sort of warranty/service program, too. When my husband asked for the manager, the manager came out and told my husband, "tough luck," gave him the 800 number to call Google, and ran back into his office. Some manager. Though the district manager was able to help, it really left a sour taste in our mouths. We understand that this is their policy for Androids (refurbished vs. new), but we felt the store's manager, rep, and Google rep all really fell far short of trying to help us. Policy is one thing. Poor training and management is another. They basically wanted to do the minimum to get us out the door when all we wanted was help with the phone. I guess next time we're buying Apple...from a different carrier. read more

I normally dread the trip to any Verizon store across the US, they usually aren't helpful. They don't explain things well or they don't offer good customer service. This one seems to be the exception, in Olathe of all places! Jason bought me a new iPhone 7 for Christmas, he bought it direct from Apple due to my grandfathered unlimited data Verizon plan. I was dreading taking it in and dealing with them trying to change my plan (like all the other Verizon's do). They didn't even look at my plan before telling me, nope you're good to go due to buying it at Apple. I have two phones and wanted one updated to my new "work" phone and the 7 as my personal. He did all the transferring for me. Put my screens on without ANY dust or wrinkles! WOWZA! I am impressed. About 29 days later one of my screen protectors already has a chip and a bubble, I take it back. He offers me a refund and a better screen protector for an additional $10 that has a lifetime warranty. They do a really good job here. They all seem to have good interaction and good customer reliability. Good job for once Verizon! read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. I was in the store today for a new phone because my Apple phone died. I went online and made an appointment for 4:30. I arrived at 4:30 and waited 10 minutes for someone to greet me. They were busy and I understood. A guy came up and asked who was next to check in, I waited to see if someone came forward and they didn't. I went up to him and said I made an appointment online for 4:30 (it was 4:43 at this time) and wanted to know what I needed to do. He said what is your name (assuming he was checking my reservation) and then walked me over to the counter. I assumed there was no one else waiting and I was first in line. Maybe a minute into our conversation, a manager (assuming) came over to point out that I was rude and walked in front of a lady who had been waiting for a long time. He then proceeded to reprimand the sales guy in front of me. I should have left but I stayed because I needed a phone. About 20 minutes later, the lady who had been waiting came and stood next to me with her 50 pound dog. She allowed the dog to jump on me and then the paws went on the counter by my phone. I looked at her and just smiled. Assuming she was waiting for her sales consultant I went on with what we were doing. Then she interrupted and stated she needed to use a phone because she needed to call her daughter because she was late to dinner with her. Then she looked at me and said I think you should know that you jumped in front of me and took my spot. She said a few other things and this is besides the point of my post. The salesman never jumped in and said that he made the mistake and was new (he told me this that it was his mistake). This was just very poor service. Do not bother making an appointment they obviously frown on it. I will be writing the main office about this incident. read more

Lol, i would like to see who wrote that nice review because I'm guessing they did not get an upgrade lately. So the story goes like this, go in the store for the $200 phone upgrade and the $150 ipad deal and though the process he has me signing all of these things and i ask what I'm signing, Well Erik (sales guy) says its for the promotion. Here is where the story gets interesting! the next day the wife and i are relaxing at home when she see's there was a 3rd number added onto are account. So we call ask a lot of questions and it turns out Erik (sales person) lied to us and set us up with a 3rd line for this ipad at $13 a month ( never ends)... in other words we will be paying $13 a month for as long as we have this ipad...... are r so upset! So this is an update on this situation. I called the store and talked to the assistant manager Graham, told him what happened, who r sales person was and we were furious, I'm coming in to straighten this out... When I got there Graham explained how this Erik guy did this to a few other people and he was cleaning up this mess and that Erik was let go because of this. At that point I calmed down to were Graham looked into what this Erik all did to our account and how we can go forward to fix it. Long story short, Graham took a bad situation and made it a pleasant experience! I gave them 4 stars back because I can't fault them anymore when this Erik guy doesn't work there anymore, so nobody else will run into this situation we had to go through. Honestly I can say nothing but good things about this place. Here's why: Pros: -The store employees are hands-down the best employees I have ever seen (for a cellular store). Most of the time the employees are just robotic salespeople. These people are actually real, isn't that nice? -In and out. Unlike most stores where you wait in a never-ending line, they get you right in. They know what they are doing and get it done. No glitches. And then you're on your way. -Pricing. It may not be the cheapest place you have ever contracted with, but they do have the most bang for your buck. It's worth the extra money. -Coverage is amazing. Better than anything I've ever had. What else can I say? It's just great. Overall, this particular store blows away any competition. There really are no cons. Great customer service, great prices, great coverage. What more do people really need? read more

Walked in and no one greeted us. I made a point of making eye contact with the staff and yet still no one said anything to us. We milled about and waited for 20 minutes while they talked to each other, staff came from the back of the store to talk and look at us. We walked out and drove to the Verizon store in Corbin Park. There they opened the door for us as we walked up from the parking lot, helped us immediately and asked if there was anything else they could do and then walked us to the door. WOW I am so impressed with their customer service. We were struggling with a lot of tech issues and were waiting there for an hour trying to talk older relatives through instructions via FaceTime. Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. Ronnie was who helped me and was completely awful. Charged things on my bill without telling me, didn't change my shipping address so I was on the phone for 3+ hours with fedex and costumer service. Also had to go into the store as he never once admitted his fault in it or apologized for any of my troubles. He told me that the things I was getting (AirPods, wireless charging, phone case, and screen protector) were all taken care of then I found out that my next bill was 600$. I will NEVER go back to this store and I am now thinking about switching my carrier because this is out of hand. 0/5 for this one! read more

first of all if you try to call to ask a simple question, you will NEVER get anyone to answer, rings forever or all you get is a voice telling you to hold. If you go to the store you will wait for hours to speak to someone. Customer service really needs to improve. Its ridiculous to have to pay outrageous fees for activation of a new phone, you already have to pay close to 1000.00 each year to purchase a new one, because the iphone batteries are rigged to die after that!! read more

Walked in 10 minutes before they were about to close. Asked if I could pay my phone bill via cash since I just got off work and I am a waitress. They man informed me that they do not do cash transactions 30 minutes before they close the store..... I have never met a phone plan that does that and now due to him I'm gonna have a late fee on my bill that I REFUSE to pay. He is a customer service rep and refused me service..... It does not say on the website that you have to come in 30 min before you guys close to make cash payments. He said I could pay with a card. I'm waiting for a new debit card in the mail cuz mine was reportedly being used in other states fraudulently. So no I can't pay with a card and apparently can't pay my phone bill with CASH. Won't be back again to that location except to speak too the manager about how I need the late fee off and to improve their staff because that's ridiculous. I work at a bar till 2 am and have to take care of everyone till we are closed and I do it with a smile on my face. Either put that on the website that you don't do cash transactions 30 min before close or get some new sales reps because I'm highly disappointed in the lack of service I got today. #LAZINESS read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased my phone and plan in October 2017 that included a $150 mail in rebate. As of today, my rebate has been listed as invalid and every time I call to ask why they only tell me that the store that offered the rebate may not have been allowed to offer the rebate; however, they are checking to see if that is the case or if there is another issue. The store has zero answers and refers to the rebate center, the rebate center keeps delaying and asking more time to process and suggests that I call the store. I have a feeling that I am not going to see this rebate that was promised. read more
