Horrid. Verizon LTE Internet service is not reliable and often simply doesn't work. I have an internet monitoring service and see multiple issues with the Verizon service most every day. And I have spent hours on Verizon chat with no resolution to frequent outages. I am now shopping for another internet service provider...I previously used Xfinity which I consider overpriced but at least their outages were less frequent than Verizon - lower cost is often not worth the frustration of truly horrid internet service. read more

Bought an iPhone 12 here last November and opted to trade in my iPhone 6s for $24. In years past, I was able to conveniently turn in the old phone at the store during the purchase visit. This time was different. They told me I would be sent a trade-in kit so I could UPS the old phone to Verizon. Had call twice to get the kit. Sent it in via UPS exactly as directed. Verizon claims they never received it and reversed my $24 trade-in credit. Called customer service twice and both times they told me they would restore the credit but they never did. It's May now so I have no hope they'll ever make it right. $24 is not the end of the world, but Verizon risks losing a customer over it. They are not the only cell service out there! My rating is based solely on the customer service I received today from Danio (I think that was his name!). As soon as I exited my vehicle I was greeted and advised of the possible wait time. I came to transfer service from one carrier to Verizon. With patience, he advised me of the preliminary steps that needed to be taken care before he could assist me on his end. He offered assistance in any which way he could. He was kind, knowledgeable, and absolutely efficient. Danio was professional, helpful, and represented the company in such a positive way. read more

Went to upgrade my phone and the one I wanted wasn't in stock. I was told it could be delivered to me which was great! I was also told it came with Disney plus for a year, which was great too. What i wasn't told was you have to sign for your package, so since I wasn't home and would never be home during delivery hours, i had to drive to another city to pick up my phone. Annoying. I would have arranged for delivery to my office instead had I been told. There were also a bunch of extras aside from Disney plus that were available and I wasn't told about any, except through various emails I got direct from Verizon after the fact. I didn't know certain TVs didn't work with disney plus, so I couldn't even use it when I went home, even though my subscription was active. I ended up buying a new tv to go along with my new phone just to use all the features. (I was due anyway, but still, any info would have been nice). read more

THIS IS NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY STORE I came into this store and the lady informed me that it would be a 2 hour wait. I said that was totally fine. Then she told me I would receive a text message. Even better. I live EXACTLY 8 mins away from this CORPORATE store. She then told me I actually only have a 5 min window to be in the store before they give up my place. I had my 4 year old daughter with me. I tried to tell the woman, well I live only 8 mins away. Would it be okay if I was only a few minutes late? She said no, only a 5 min window because this wouldn't be fair to other customers. Then I asked well could I set a timer for 1 hour and 45 mins and come early. She said that they could text me sooner than that, and again only a 5 min window. I can not believe they were so unreasonable to not even give me a few mins of a grace period. I'm supposed to keep a 4 year old in this store for 2 hours? POINT BLANK. These people do not care about their customers, or really even just people. I can not believe this is their corporate store. People here are not helpful at all, their whole system sucks. They have this machine where you can pay your bill online but doesn't give out change, the whole store doesn't have change for you. What kind of business doesn't carry less than $5 in change? Wow! And people just look at you and watch you struggle. Except the nice African American lady who works in the front and signs people up on the waitlist, she is extremely friendly and tries to get other coworkers to help. The worst. I went in here on a Monday because my SIM card wasn't working. A representative look at my phone before even putting my name on waiting list. He took my SIM card out put it back in and automatically said ohh sir your phone is broken you need to buy a new phone or get it fix though apple care if you have it. So I went home and decided to put a SIM card I had on my woke phone through the same carrier and sure enough it did work. Verizon customer service told me specifically to go to this store to get a replacement SIM for my phone, as mine became defective. The manager was beyond rude, telling me that SIM cards are counted in their inventory, and he refused to give me one. After going back home, I called customer service and complained. They said, that should never have happened. I've gone to this location for years as a customer for various things, including upgrades, and accessory purchases. After the last incident, I will never step foot in this store again. Do yourself a favor, and stay clear of this poorly managed location! Sure they could use more staff, but these folks take the time out to troubleshoot, answer questions about your account, and correct screw-ups done at other locations. This goes out to Brian who helped me at this specific Verizon location in Pleasant Hill. It had been a VERY long day and my wall charger, for my iPhone, had clearly stopped working. I came in prepared to pay for a new wall charger; however, Brian, who was a complete professional, informed me that I did NOT need to pay for the new wall charger as it was within the one-year mark that this previous charger failed. Brian made my night and as it was not busy in the store, given it was 6:30pm, and he helped me get in, and out -- Brian displayed impeccable communication and customer service skills. A very nice and pretty girl named Kelly said there were a few people ahead but that she would help me out. AVOID if you want to maintain your self esteem. Just today, I walked in to get info about updating existing Verizon phone and picking up a new iPhone Xs Max. Not a cheap phone. They were busy. It's the holidays, I get it. When I walked in, one rep was on the phone and said someone would get to me in a moment. So, I walked around the store and checked the displays. I was the only one walking around for 10 minutes. During my browsing, I walked past one of the other reps (twice!!!) who looked too busy to even say hi. A woman walks in 10 minutes behind me and gets checked in almost immediately by the same rep that walked by and ignored me previously. I guess the rep decided I wasn't going to spend any money and that I wasn't worth her time!! BOLLOCKS! Through the years, I have visited this store numerous times and not once have I ever left satisfied. DMV and the post office has better customer service than this place. Verizon really needs to provide better training. Their in-store customer service reps know nothing about "customer service". Moving forward, I will stick to the online chat personnel on the Verizon website. The online folks are great. Cheers! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Dario in the store today . We purchased a family plan online with Verizon and went to the store to get help getting the lines initiated. Dario was the unlucky one to get us when we went into the store. Our phones were very stubborn when switching from Sprint. Let me just say, Dario was one of the most patient and friendly technicians that I have ever experienced in a phone store. He had a great 'can do' attitude when switching our phones over. I felt a little guilty that Dario had to spend so much time with us, considering they work on commission. Dario, thank you so much for your patience and cheerful attitude. I would only give it one star except the manager is nice. Once I gave the sales associate my credit card and the transaction was through I was left alone with unanswered questions while he tried to juggle customers. The other associates refused to help and finally after an hour the store manager set my phone up properly. Obviously sales people are on commission. Understaffed as well. read more

Returned more recently after my phone was stolen/lost to have suspended line restored, Apple input adjusted and replacement phone up and running. Once again, Dario was on the money. PATIENCE OF A GNAT That's why my husband always tells me I have: the patience of a gnat. I really like change. The change I like most is the stuff you find in the couch. (Guard your couch!) The change I like least is changing phones. Last year for Christmas I joined the world of smart phone users. A few years behind most people, and it wasn't my decision! I wanted my old phone (I still miss her) but after a year of getting to know my Droid 3, we had a pretty serious relationship. So it was really difficult for me when the Galaxy S3 caught my eye. So pretty. But it had taken me a year and I still couldn't figure out most of the things on my Droid. How much time would this new phone take to get used to?!! Giving in to my desire for a faster camera (necessary for Yelp pictures, and posting pictures of my cats on Facebook), husband brought me to this location. His ideal game plan: to get in, get the phone, and get out before I changed my mind. WRONG! An employee greeted us and said it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I politely told him that I didn't need anything - I already knew what I wanted. This didn't matter. So we watched as salespeople told less decisive people about the features of all the phones they sell. Tick tick tick...ten minutes! We asked how much longer and another employee said "at least another ten minutes". We responded we'd already waited that long and he told us that we'd been told fifteen to twenty when we walked in. NOT TRUE. And no apology about the wait at any point, which killed what little patience I had to begin with. I called another Verizon (Oak Grove, Concord) to make sure they had the phone I wanted. They did, but they didn't have the case. We begrudgingly had to give $39.99 to this location for that (no wait to buy a case, I guess). I walked out with my new case - a beautiful lime green! We were at the other location minutes later, and I patiently waited (only a few mintues) while the two guys there gave us their attention and acted like our business mattered to them. Won't be going back to this location. (But do love my green case!) read more

He got me set up with a new phone, the case, a charging block plus 20% accessories and paid me $700 for my old phone. I truly believe Emily Cabral deserves a promotion. I upgraded my iphone 8 for a 12. While I was able to back up my old phone to the cloud and transfer it over to the new phone, as well as erase the old phone and turn it back to factory settings for a mailing return, I got into the new phone and realized I had no idea how to use it. Amongst other things, the new phone doesn't have a home button anymore. I had great difficulty that night trying to transfer over my email accounts, and some social media. I'm very dependent on my phone for regular use of email and wasn't able to use it that night. The next day I went back to Verizon and was blessed to be able to find Emily, who was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and instructional. She was able to walk me through some steps to rectify my biggest concerns. In this case, I feel like her work was a life changer for me. I hope that yhr Pleasant Hill store realizes what a valuable asset this employee is to them. Her dedication and level of care is exemplary. Recently had a problem with Verizon crediting me for the phone I traded in on July 2nd which was sent UPS in the box provided by Verizon, using their label with an email acknowledgement from Verizon the next morning that the phone had been picked up. long story short, they never got it and never credited my account. Vanessa, who sold me the phone, was the only person able to break through the corporate paperwork and solve the problem. They don't tel you the details. they told me "you have to pay 30$ per line per month for 5 lines". but when I received the invoice, it showed 40$ per line and 40$ for activation fee. I asked them to describe, why my bill is more than our deal, then they said " after 1 or 2 bills period, you will get a credit". I got angry and asked them to cancel my account, but they said "It's going to be a charge for cancellation". so don't trust them, you need to find everything yourself before switching to this crazy carrier. read more

We were missing an item from a large order and brought in the receipt with the items purchased. The manager, Jazmine, refused to refund the money we paid stating she did a complete inventory and there was not an extra item. Terrible customer service. We were going to buy additional items but left the store. We asked her for her manager's name and she refused. I explained I have been a customer for over 15 years and she did not care. Caveat emptor. Chose another location if you can as you can see a lot of one star ratings. By the way this is my first review so obviously the manager did a terrible job of resolving the issue. I hope someone in upper management reads this and tries to some action. Jordan who works there would be great a the job because he actually likes customers unlike Jazmine. And even snapped in a pic. He really was that bad, and aggressive. If corporate is reading this and wondering what might be driving store performance and this store's 2.5 star yelp rating, suggest looking at the manager John and how his attitude spreads to the rest of his team. Will be switching my account to another provider promptly, and then seeking refunds on my $750 worth of merchandise. Update: July 3. John was reported as a major problem at least 25 days ago (see past yelp reviews) and yet he's still there. Don't waste your time or money here. Told there would be a 20-25 minute wait which ended up being 70 minutes. Watched numerous other customers walk in, get served and leave while i waited. After seeing the reviews I should have known better. This place, and the employees are not helpful. Dario together is the guy who "helped" me. He was rude, and treated me with disrespect. The store was practicing bad health safety, other then having a door person and only allowing some many people in the store at a time. No masks, no gloves, no cleaners of any type in sight. I came in after having to try multiple times online and over the phone to get my issue resolved. I put a mask on, gloves on, and had hand sanitizer on me, and disinfectant spray. They were all together, 5 people, 6 including me, less than 6 feet away from each other. They appeared to take my safety precautions as a joke. Then told me they couldn't help me or talk to verizon for me. They had corporate call me and said that's all they could do. Corporate did call me and asked to speak to the store person and was surprised that I answered because normally they do. They also said that they could absolutely talk to the store and that typically thats what they do. These guys don't care about customer service and don't care about public safety. These are the guys that are going to help spread this virus. STAY AWAY from this store. I was referred by Customer Service to this local store to resolve password and other issues. While customers waited for a lengthy time, I observed several staff members go in and out of the back room. At another time, two staffers interviewed a potential employee in the lobby, while we waited and waited. At another juncture, three staffers stood at one station to help one customer. When I finally got connected with a staffer, she put me on the phone with Fraud Prevention. That's the department that told me to go to the store in the first place. In person agent was no help. There doesn't seem to be any sense of "service" in this store. No one greets a new arrival. Staffers shuffle around. Ignore us while we wait. Disinterested in helping. Later, on the phone with Customer Service again; agent told me the store should have and could have assisted me. I went across the street to T Mobile and opened an account. read more
