This review is for the printing center! I used the Printing Center to make some business cards, which in reality were cards going to be used for a best friends Celebration of Life token bags. I did the design myself on my phone. They got them done quickly and notified me right away. When I picked them up, I noticed that the printing was offset. There were two employees at the counter, one looked like a manager. I told them what happened, they jumped on it right away and was so friendly about it. It wasn't their fault, more of a computer printer error. Needless to say, they helped me re-upload my images, they insured the quality themselves on their computer, and showed me a sample before printing. They came out beautifully. I left with the new cards and nothing was a hassle. These ladies were the best!! They were so helpful and they maintained a very helpful and positive attitude. The world is hard for so many right now. Finding friendly, supportive, and professional customer service is getting even harder. Not at Staples in Concord, tho: Michelle, manager Dayna, and staff make this Staples an oasis of easy in a hard world. I needed flyers for a tenant organization finished - I did what I could on my own, but needed an expert to get my project over the finish line. Michelle was super patient and kind when I told her I was paying for everything myself and generously created an order I could afford. The flyers look awesome, and I left Staples with a huge smile and the knowledge that there are a whole lot of good people still in the world, humans who share their power rather than steal yours. Look, if you're looking to do Clear TSA Pre-check, maybe do it elsewhere unless you are willing to wait around even with an appt. We scheduled 3 appts on a Saturday. Despite our appts at 2:10, 2:20 and 2:30 pm, we did not get seen until 3:25 and done by 4 pm. We arrived at 2 pm. Signed in and 1 person ahead of us and 1 person already getting signed up. While we waited, another party arrived. The person in front of us was assisted and then at 230, we were told that he (it's one person) would be breaking for lunch for 45 min. Say what now????? The signs in the store and website say lunch/closed- 1-130 pm! Smh We left and came back by 3:10 pm. To our frustration, we were not even the next one assisted. It was the people arrived after us. Hooowww? This made no sense. Needless to say, we were not happy. Anyhow, we were finally helped and though the representative was friendly and did a good job, we will not be utilizing this service here again. My future preference would be to arrive earlier at the airport and do it there. Unless you have time to waste, feel free to do it here. In my opinion, this was not a pleasant wait especially when you have an appt. 1 star for plenty of parking 1 star friendly service by actual staples employees who greeted us when we arrived and left. read more

Recently had the absolute worst customer service experience with the Print Department Supervisor at this branch of Staples. I used online app to order a small batch of booklets and when I arrived at the store the booklets did not match the online invoice. Specifically, they did not have the correct paper stock. This has happened on numerous occasions. Today, the Print Department Supervisor told me the machine cannot print and staple books as described on the online app. In fact, the machine is designed to do exactly that operation. Yet, the Print Department Supervisor was fully and wholeheartedly committed to her inaccuracy. She escalated the situation by calling the store manager over to the print area. Frankly, the level of unprofessional behavior and lack of training in equipment was astounding. To avoid any further fruitless discussion, I paid for the items and departed the store. Your experiences may be different, but under no circumstances will I engage in further business with this store. read more

I do not recommend this location for Amazon returns. Unfortunately from the moment we walked in, to our checkout process we experienced rude behavior and horrible customer service. The woman in the printing area that handles both printing and Amazon returns was complaining the the customer in the front of us how horrible it is to work there and have to do returns when she was hired to work in the promoting department. Here comes our turn for a one item return and she was rude in grabbing the item out of my hand, she tried to grab my phone for the code, which you should never touch someone's phone without asking, then when it was time to ask if I'd like a receipt, she just chucked the paper on the counter and walked away. I've been to this Staples location four times now, and every single visit, I've encountered the same frustrating issue with an employee named Jyrmaon. The customer service has been consistently poor--lack of courtesy, lack of assistance, and a general unwillingness to help. I've tried to be patient, but this pattern shows there's a real problem. This is now the second time I've gone into this Staples for two different things and have had terrible experiences so will not go into the store anymore. I'm posting this as a public service announcement....If you have an Amazon return, I would think twice to select this location. I went to make a return yesterday and there was one individual in front of me, and there was only one person at the register who continually kept helping individuals that were coming up to pay for purchases and never once spoke to us in the Amazon return line. He had plenty of opportunity to alternate and help with these different transactions instead of one instance, he watched a woman bag, her purchases very slow slowly when he could've been helping with an Amazon return. After the third person started to walk up to the pay line, I asked if there was anybody else to assist us in the Amazon returns and his reply was that he was that individual that would help us however he stated "the individuals that were purchasing were the ones bringing money into the store so they were the priority"! I'm sure this came from his manager, however he probably should've thought twice to verbally tell customers that as when I spoke with the manager, she didn't seem very surprised like she should have a conversation with him on how to be efficient in multitasking. So again if you have an Amazon return, I would highly recommend going anywhere else than this store because this is how they run their store. If you give it some thought, you could actually be in line all day because as each person trickled into the purchase line, this individual just kept waiting to ring them up. You are not a priority in your return although I have to assume there's a reason they accept Amazon returns that have to provide some type of profit or bring people into the store to make purchases otherwise why bother being an Amazon return location? Based on very negative experiences, I will assume it comes from poor management/training of this location. read more

I went into your store at 4498 Treat Blvd. Concord, Ca this afternoon, intending to buy $200 worth of ink cartridges. I asked an employee for help finding the right cartridge for my printer, but her only suggestion was to check the side of each cartridge. With so many options and no guidance or reference materials, I felt frustrated. She offered no further help and walked away. At checkout, the line was six people deep, and only one cashier was working, while the same employee stood behind the register, focused on other tasks instead of helping customers. Ultimately, poor customer service and lack of support at both the product area and checkout led me to leave without making my purchase. In such a competitive market, service should be more focused on customers, yet my experience showed otherwise. read more

From lack of CUSTOMER SERVICE to just being outright lazy being walked past ignored and then for them to look at me when I am waiting for almost over 10 minutes for someone to help me at the Amazon return section as they've been helping people. No one greets me when I first walked in the store. No one acknowledges me when I'm standing in line. They have stickers all over the damn floor so you can't tell exactly where you're supposed to stand for the Amazon return Why they took the return away from Kohl's. I have no idea because this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with an Amazon return and I never plan on returning to the store to do it ever again or shop ever again. The manager disgustingly basically just dismissed me. He didn't even attempt to help me, even though he saw the other cashier was busy with a customer. Friendly, helpful staff at the Staples on the corner of Treat and Clayton Road. Within the past few months, they have added Amazon return service which I use frequently. I like that a staff person handles the transaction. Whole Foods at the Veranda has switched to self service for Amazon returns. The few times I tried to use it there were long lines. Who would've thought Staples had TSA ENROLLMENT. Save yourself some trouble and make an appointment. Have patience, and be nice goes a long ways! There is only one person who is taking all the TSA enrollments. Huge signage towards the rear of the store. Sign In on the sheet at the table. There are ample chairs for waiting. Restrooms, take a coupon and do some browsing while waiting for your name to be called. No cash payments. Very nice staff, professional, patient and very thorough. read more

I needed a new set of ink cartridges for my ink-jet printer. Shopping on line, I found the Staples price was just a dollar higher than the Amazon price -- so I decided to give my local Staples store some business. When I phoned the store, I was told they had two packages of the ink cartridges in stock; their store price was $8 higher than the Staples online price, but they would match the online price for me. Entering the store, I scoured through the ink-jet cartridge section, but could not find the model number I needed. The woman who took my phone call then tried to find it, but could not. Her coworker said it must be in their "lock-up"; but he could not find it there, either. So he told her it must be buried somewhere in a shopping cart they had in the corner, chock-full of printer accessories. When she rummaged through it, she still could not find the product I needed. I had to give up, go home, and order the cartridges from Amazon. read more

A Staples in Concord? I wonder why I never heard about this location until now. I pass by this location when I got lost in Concord. I actually went inside when I got lost. I have to admit I made a right decision to come inside. The inside of Staples was clean...even during the COVID-19 pandemic. I probably use the restroom when I went inside. I don't remember buying anything from this location. The people that work there were polite to greet me when I went inside...heck I think they told me to roll over the carpet. This location is next to the Post Office. It is cool because if you buy something at Staples you can mail it afterward. If I need to get sharpies I can go to this location instead of Pleasant Hill location. read more

This place sucks. I dread coming here. But it's the closest office supply store to me so I always have to go back. Unfortunately, today I had a particularly unpleasant experience with an employee. I ran to go grab a notebook for my college class, and when I went up to go check out, the two checkers are standing there talking. Which is fine, but then when I sat my notebook on the counter to check out the woman checker gave me a very dirty look and said " I guess I can take her here" as if I am inconveniencing her by needing to check out. If you schedule a TSA Pre Check Enrollment, prepare to have waste your time written on your forehead. Pre Enrolled through TSA and had confirmation e-mail of my appointment, showed up and the front desk said "The agent just left on his 1 Hour Lunch Break. You're welcome to wait if you want but he is required to take a lunch break." My bf and I had the best experience in here yesterday. I needed a new PayPal credit card reader and I asked for assistance finding it. Chris happily walked us to the aisle where they would be stocked, and then showed up a couple options (including other brands, like Square). I decided to stick with PayPal Here (that's the actual app name) and bought the reader with chip insert option, which is an upgrade from the simple swiper-only one I had before. It was $25 (and PayPal credited me half of that since their original one was no longer working). They also have one that reads cards you can tap, but it was $60 and not necessary for as few transactions as I do. Just as helpful and friendly as Chris, was Thomas at the register. He totally suggested we grad another item since they had a $10 off $50 purchase deal. We would have gladly shopped some more (I own After Hours Mobile Notary and this is usually where we buy our nicer writing pens and other mobile notary supplies), but we had dinner plans we were eager to get to. Hello everyone, I usually never write reviews but here we go. Today we walked in just needing to make some copies. The lady at the counter honestly looked like she genuinely didn't wanna be there. She didn't really greet us. we told her we just needed some copies done and all she did was tell us to email the file and that i'd be ready in 5-10 minutes. She did not ask what size of paper we needed or if we just needed black and white. After what seemed like forever, we checked back and no updates. Another gentleman helped us out and was able to get our copies in less than 2 minutes and was super nice. No idea why we couldn't get that kind of customer service when we got there in the first place. Props to the other guy though thank you so much! read more

I tried to stop by this Staples to pick up my online order about 10 min before closing. The employees had already locked the front doors so no one could enter. I tried calling the store to explain my situation, but was ignored. I could obviously see the employees moving around inside. It was an absolute waste of a trip given the price of gas now. If they wanted to close at 8:50PM instead of 9PM, maybe their store hours should reflect that. I needed my already post-it note packed, full of scene blocking flags, and scribbles galore director's script spiral-bound so I could more easily use it for our community theatre production of It Shoulda Been You. I went in hoping to have it back at least for our next rehearsal two days later (but really needed it to work on today - a director's work is never done). Michelle in the printing department listened to what an was using it for and that I didn't want to be without it for too long but understood it took time. She saw the quiet desperation in my face and since I magically came at a rare lull in activity, she offered to bind it for me while I waited. And although I didn't ask for any specific size - because what do I know? - she knew I would be using it repeatedly and would need a larger spiral. She was awesome. Staples on Treat is now my new GoTo for all things Office Supplies. So long Amazon. read more
