After reading some negative reviews I wanted to share my experience. If you come into the store, you may have to wait. It's first come first serve. And some people need more help than others. So try to be patient. And they do not work miracles, so keep your expectations reasonable. I've been to the store on Crescent Dr a few times in the last few months to help with orders and tech support. Each time I was seen within a few minutes. On two occasions I had the pleasure of working with Julie. She's great. Friendly, very knowledgeable and efficient. The store is lucky to have her. read more

The inconsistencies at this store are absolutely disruptive. I brought my 70 year old mom in to trade in her phone on our family plan, and while the representative was very sweet and friendly, she also sent us off with no instructions or offers of assistance to help transfer her info from one phone to the next. Then, we went back in to drop off the trade in and was helped by someone that turned us away and told us to go directly to UPS, even though the email said to drop the phone off at the store. Then UPS turned us away because we didn't have the right information. Finally someone explained that their system was down and walked us over to UPS with the right code. This isn't my first time with issues in service quality and accuracy with Verizon. The Martinez location that closed down was also disruptive and caused extra work for us after the sale was made. read more

I reviewed this store back in 2024 and gave it 5 stars based upon the service we received. In December, 2025 we went in to purchase Iphone 17 for my husband and myself. I was a little apprehensive about getting a new phone in fear that the text messages from my son who died in 2022 would disappear. I explained to the girl how important it was to us and showed her the messages that dated back to 2014. She assured us there would be no problem doing a phone to phone transfer. My husband got his iphone 11 in 2021. She took our phones and began the transfer. She said this may take 4-5 hours and put all 4 phones in a Verizon bag and sent us on our way. I REGRET EVER WALKING INTO THAT STORE. All of the text messages prior to 2021 has disappeared. All of my son's text messages have disappeared from my iphone 11 as well as on my iphone 17. We went back to the store to see Makalia who did the phone to phone transfer and she said she didn't delete any text messages. I have spent over 30 hours on the phone with Verizon and Apple trying to get the phones straightened out. My husband's phone is getting my phone messages. He is also getting my text messages. I also have an Apple Watch. When I wear it after an hour or so my phone gets hot. On top of that I refuse to return our Iphone 11 until these phone issues are corrected. We are now being charged for not returning the phones. Here it is almost 4 months later and the manager of this Verizon store says they cannot take responsibility or give anyone a GUARANTEE THAT ALL INFORMATION WILL BE TRANSFERRED. I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN. The manager is dismissive and the people we dealt with need a lot more training before they screw up people's phones. read more

I went to the store to sign up for WiFi services. As a health care professional, I was told there would be a discount. When the bill came, no discount was applied. I went back to the store and was told that I had to have the phone service to get the discount. No one said that when I signed up and they were unable to apply a discount. Sure made me feel like it was a bait and switch. I called Verizon, and got the same answer. I decided to switch companies. I returned the Verizon equipment to the store. I have received multiple bills from Verizon as this store never sent the equipment to corporate. I have the receipt stating I returned the equipment. First of all for those who have given a bad review, what's the problem? You are upset because you were not greeted with strawberries and champagne? These are hard working people and clearly those who gave bad reviews have no idea what hard work means. Having said that, I want to recognize each staff member I interacted with starting with my salesperson Priscilla. Priscilla, you are amazing. I had no intention of buying a phone but instead of selling me, you showed me some things that sounded sensible and great. I decided to go with it and purchase the iphone air. Priscilla should be an envy of other salespeople. So gentle, so polite, so professional yet personable. Did each and every thing she said she would 100%. Not one single complaint can I come up with. As far as management, Julie wow is all I have to say and (forgive any misspells, Meena, Naema, Julie and Priscilla are who I interacted with. One other person but I didn't get her name. She appeared to be of islander possibly filipina decent. I did have a bad experience at that store years ago but the experience now? WOW WOW WOW! I will refer anyone confidently to Priscilla without hesitation. Hopefully you get some recognition from upstairs as in most companies, they just sit there, give orders and have no idea what it is like to be in the trenches like these wonderful people. I challenge you to do what they do for just one single day. You never will though. Came early to beat the crowd and glad I did. Adam with the glasses was the rep that assisted me and I am glad he did. He was quick and knowledgeable and I didn't feel pressured to get all the bells and whistles. I was actually transferring my service from AT&T over to Verizon, and had to leave for a moment, but upon my return, Adam was there to the rescue and although it took an extra 30 to 40 minutes to transfer my data from my relic of an iPhone, it gave me time to go over to Zachary's Pizza and get dinner for the fam bam. Horrible place to get your wireless service. No matter what question do I have they always was sending me to call on their phone line . They don't want to answer non of your questions. Terrible customer service today. First call to another Verizon location to see if we could change an address on our account, caller said yes. Didn't state it needed to be a corporate location. Went to local Concord location and they said go to corporate in Pleasant Hill and that they could do it in person. Drive to Pleasant Hill corporate store and they said no, you need to call Verizon or use the app. As we sat at the Verizon store, conducting Verizon business that they couldn't be bothered to help us with, the same female employee asked if we could move from the table "in case it was needed for customers." This as we sat with two elderly parents with mobility issues that we were assisting with their Verizon accounts. I guess you don't qualify as a customer when you're handing Verizon hundreds of dollars a month and you're using their table to conduct Verizon business they are too lazy to handle. This 5 star goes to Giovanni. I walked in and he instantly greeted me. I let him know I was here to turn my phone in and had some issues with my bill being more than what I signed up for. We went over to the table to sit down and he got right to the problem with no push back or issues and seen that the promotion was not applied when I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and honestly, I've been having so many issues with Verizon since switching but today Giovanni just made everything so easy and got my bill down to what I signed up for. My mom walks with a cane and I have an injured ankle. We go into this Verizon store because her phone had just completely stopped working. I see a few customers milling around and a couple people sitting down. A guy that works there is helping a customer. Fine, but maybe at least acknowledge us and say hello or welcome in or anything? My mom and I sit down. A woman and another gentleman are at one of the high tables. Then, he's talking on a landline, and she comes over to the long high table the first guy is at and starts working next to him calling over another person who happened to be standing behind the customer. Still no acknowledgement so I go stand up and I'm just chatting it up with the customer who was originally being assisted. A woman comes out from the back and smiles and I'm thinking to myself finally a person who will talk to us or see us, but no. She disappeared an instant later. The original customer leaves as my mom stands up and comes over by me. She easily explains her issue/situation to the guy and he asks if she needs a battery or new phone. She wants to keep the phone she has so she says battery and then he sends us somewhere else?? Oh, and after I explained that all the customer service workers here looked angry and/or miserable she asked him how to receive customer service should she need to return and at first he didn't understand. I had no problem speaking up and his response was that they were short staffed. Anyway, he seemed like he was actually apologetic and like I said they all seemed miserable so I'll leave 2 stars and let you all decide for yourselves. Btw, the place he sent us for the battery, MD Wireless said they were open online and everything but when my mom and I got there, it looked like it was permanently closed with tons of plastic covering the doors and windows. read more

Our family got new iPhone 17s, and we needed to return our old phones to get credit for them. We needed to return the old phones by a certain day or else it would have cost us as a family about four grand. We took the phones back to the store, thinking all we had to do was hand them in. But, oh no, it wasn't going to be that easy. The first time we visited, we talked to a guy who gave us a bunch of complicated instructions that non-technical people like us had no idea how to follow. After spending a few hours at home trying to follow the intricate instructions, I returned to the store and talked to a new person named Vijay. I explained our situation to him and he immediately said, "Don't worry! I will take care of it for you!" and he did! No bellyaching, no sighing under his breath, he just did it - with a smile. The first guy probably could have done the same thing, but it was too much trouble. Anyway, I was impressed by Vija's helpful attitude, which is why I wrote this review. read more

I checked their website to see if they had the phone I wanted in inventory. It was and I scheduled an appointment the same day. When I got there early I checked with the front person if they had the phone. Oh no we are all out! I got the phone via the website. So I identified the case I wanted and once again checked this website for availability. Apparently they have one so I attempted to do a store pick-up using this store's website and "this site doesn't do store pick-up's." So I attempted to schedule an appointment as I have done before and got into a loop between selecting a store even though I was scheduling from this store's website. After two visits, the PLEASANT HILL Verizon store (on Crescent) is without question the BEST VERIZON LOCATION I've patronized in 20 years! Their female store manager (when I bought my new cell on my 1st visit) was excellent and I was bummed to hear that she was being transferred to the Walnut Creek Verizon. While buying my new cell, Adam answered all of my questions and stayed a litte after closing to start my data transfer (unfortunately, my texts didn't transfer but that was not his fault). Some braniac at Samsung changed the code for the Contacts program on my new S24 Ultra (they removed our ability to change the Storage Location of Contacts stored locally on your phone to being associated instead with an email account) which has been a nightmare for 2 months now (again, not Verizon's fault). The color saturation on the S24 Ultra is also poor (the reviews mention this but I bought it anyway) but otherwise I am happy with the S24 Ultra 2 months in. I returned to the PLEASANT HILL Verizon store to address the incomplete data transfer (it stopped right after I had left the store the 1st time after my purchase). The new store manager Jon listened to my problem and concerns, and was nothing but compassionate, careful and helpful in assisting me - - I needed my data merged rather than having my new cell data overwritten by my old cell data (or gawd forbid the reverse). I was at the store for over 4 hours (mostly verifying what did versus did not transfer) with multiple attempts to get my data transferred. Jon kept researching and trying different methods and sofware. During the "waiting periods" of my transfer attempts, Jon politely excused himself to help others but let me know when he would be back to help me. Jon even stayed after closing to complete my data transfer, which turned out to be his 1st day as the new store manager of the PLEASANT HILL Verizon. Exceptional service once again! I am so pleased that the replacement for the excellent former female PLEASANT HILL Verizon store manager is equally as excellent. P.S. - Jon, if you are reading this, thank you for getting my very important texts to transfer to my new phone. read more

Took forever to get helped. Then the person who helped me was average. She acted like she couldn't care less. Then they stuck me in a corner to wait for my device to be changed over. i had a meeting to attend and allowed 3 hours to buy a new iPhone AND an iPad. i finally after trying to get their attention and being ignored, went home and finished the setup there. Also their hours were different on Yelp than in Real Life, so i wasted a trip down there after work. 75% of the time that i have dealt with Verizon, it ends up a Hassle and a negative experience. On the plus side: I was proud of myself for not crying during or after this event. It is character-building to deal with these cretins. read more

We walked into the store the lady that greeted us was rude and she told us it would be an hour wait it's already been an hour and a half and still no call. Every time we walk in the store there's always an hour wait. That means that they're short staff and should get more people to work there. I would not recommend going there. read more

The staff at this store are wonderful. Vanessa spent over 2 hours on the phone with Verizon's phone-based customer service idiots so my family didn't have to pay for months of service my recently deceased dad didn't get to use. The charges were only $165 but Vanessa, a coworker of the idiots on the other end of the call, was left to wait over an hour on hold for the original rep's supervisor to pick up and answer her questions. The supervisor never picked up. Ultimately, the store manager agreed to credit dad's account but the cost would be borne by the store, not the company as a whole. I can't recommend a company that treats their own employees with such disregard, but I can certainly applaud the efforts of the staff in this location. read more

SUMMARY: Rude to the point it was comical. Visit date: May 22, 2021 @ 10:30AM-ish BACKGROUND: My wife's S7 died a quick death and because she's a small business owner, she needs that phone working around the clock. We went to this store as the 800 folks said they take walk ins (not true). VISIT Based on their national 800 help line, we went to this Pleasant Hill store. The nice man at the front w/ a tablet asked us if we had an appointment. We said no and he said they would have availability. Then my wife said "We're here to buy a phone." and then he let us in. Ok I guess the rules are meant to be broken depending on what you are there for. So we were fortunate to be let in, but as we approached the ONE lady behind the plexiglass who was busy on her mobile phone, she looked up slowly and annoyed. The man at the front said to her that we were here to buy a phone. Slowly as moving like someone who just didn't want to be there, she asked us what phone we wanted to buy. We said we hadn't been phone shopping in years and then she directed us to the phones on the wall. When we came back, we came back with questions. She couldn't tell us much other than "this one is bigger". Good grief, it was the worst experience. So we asked if she had 2 models. She said no. And left us hanging. So there was this dead silence and then I asked if other stores had them and she decided she had to look and she said no. So we smiled and thanked her and left. That was the ONLY time she smiled. We were cracking up when we got back to the car about how damn rude she was. Then my wife got a little upset because we have been Verizon customers since the early 2000's. We had an appointment with Carmax to sell her car, so I said for her to chill, let's sell the car, and I'll make an appointment with Apple down in Pleasanton. In stark contrast, our experience at the Apple Store in Pleasanton was beyond words. Look for my review and/or I'll paste the link here later. I'm never entering this Verizon location ever again. So it's 5 pm 02/14/23, I entered the store with no greeting whatsoever. In prior experiences, a person has been waiting at the front door greeting me and ready to assist. This is not the case. There was one employee on the floor with a customer. She did not even bat an eye at me. Obviously, she did not want to ask me what I needed. So I waited about 10 mins around the store with no one acknowledging me, hoping someone would notice my existence. Then this bitchy ass lady came out from the back room. Not a hi or hello? Basically telling me, that I don't have an appointment,..so I'm not going to waste my breath asking me what I needed and that I should go to the Walnut Creek store. She rudely told me also, don't you know that you need to make an appointment? Bitch, if I knew I had to make an appointment, don't you think I would make one??!!! This is the worse experience I have had with Verizon. It looks like from the other reviews on here, I am not alone. If someone like the store manager or corporate reads this, please don't respond to me by saying sorry for my inconvenience,...We pride ourselves on being the best wireless network, and it's disappointing to learn we fell short. We will be escalating your review so the appropriate team can look into this... She needs to be fired or needs a serious review on customer service. Management here has a problem... I have been sitting here for over an hour, after being promised 20-30 minute wait. I've watched numerous employees walking around not helping customers who are waiting for help. This one guy in particular reminds me of a DMV worker... walking around with no purpose, not helping anyone the entire time I've been here... a device on display began a loud siren sound, and everyone was looking around for someone to make it stop... this same guy stands by for several minutes before slowwwwwly making his way over to the screeching device to scan his employee card. After watching each employee finish up with a customer, then walk in back for 20 minutes, I became frustrated... like WHY is everyone hiding in the back??!! Finally, I go ask the "guy-who-helps-noone" if there is a manager in the building... OF COURSE, he says, "I'm the manager." Omg, it all makes sense now!! Leadership starts at the top-- and his team is following his leadership, or lack thereof. His name was Eli. Since I've been here, there have LITERALLY been 2 customers who have been helped and left the store... I'm currently watching the next 2 customers STILLLL being helped. And these 4 total customers who have received service have been from 4 DIFFERENT employees-- Meaning, there are only 2 out of the 7 employees helping customers at any one time!! Spent more than 2 hours waiting plus an hour buying watch for my son for his birthday. They "set everything up" and even applied a case cover for $30 extra . He opened his gift, protective cover falls off. He does not have the call features of the watch- his phone is not hooked up to the network despite 3 hours. We go back and are told 60-90 min wait. It's his birthday he really wants it so we wait. 2 hours later still no assistance. Tech checking in won't even help verbally trouble shoot while she is playing games on phone. With same people waiting 2 plus hours they each begin taking breaks without checking in on us or providing any info. We had another appointment and couldn't wait any longer so had to leave. Be prepared to spend your entire day trying to get customer service. Update: went back the next day and spent almost 2 hours where rep called tech support on the phone and we were told the activation never got "pushed through" in the system and he would do it manually now. Assured us that the watch would begin working on the stand alone line purchased within 2-4 hours. We left hopeful. Watch did not begin working. Had to wait 2 more days before I had another day off to go back for the 4th visit. This time rep discovered that the line still wasn't activated because they had given me a line that wasn't available. I'm Not sure how these things happen and don't go through trouble shoot. The last 2 reps we worked with clearly did try to help, but it was astonishing how under resourced this location is and It is very clear as a customer you will be impacted as a result. After 8+ hours and 4 trips, my son finally was able to use his birthday gift a week after his bday. read more

Horrid. Verizon LTE Internet service is not reliable and often simply doesn't work. I have an internet monitoring service and see multiple issues with the Verizon service most every day. And I have spent hours on Verizon chat with no resolution to frequent outages. I am now shopping for another internet service provider...I previously used Xfinity which I consider overpriced but at least their outages were less frequent than Verizon - lower cost is often not worth the frustration of truly horrid internet service. read more
