    Terrible Reliability and Service after only 6 Days…read more - Signed up for Service on the morning of March 13th had to wait 4 days for install Appointment on March 17th - On March 23rd (6 Days) the Internet Service went dead due to a Frontier Port Issue (their fault) - Was told to wait (2-3 days) to have a technician come out to fix the Frontier Port Problem - Also, their setup fees of $149 are unreasonable, they also charge you for your own Router $10. I was told by the Install Technician that Frontier will not wave the $10 per month router fee even if you have your own equipment.

Unfortunately for us, the only service provider for our apartment is Frontier and they are crap. When I signed up for service with the rep for our apartment, I did not ask for any extra services like an internet "security" service I didn't need; nor did I ask for their router; nor did I ask for HBO Now. When I realized these extra services were tacked on "free" I called their customer service and had them remove them from my account as I didn't need them and wouldn't use them. I still got billed for the HBO Now, even after calling them twice and telling them to remove it and that I would never use it. When the service was connected to my apartment, I asked the installer about the router...I told him I had my own and wouldn't need theirs. He tells me its already included in my service fee and I wasn't going to be charged extra for it. Yeah. OK. That's why a monthly $10 router fee is permanently listed on my bill, even after repeated calls to Frontier about removing it. They said I signed a contract that required it (I specifically didn't sign up for a contract plan as we aren't sure how long we would stay in this apartment, so I'm not sure what annual contract they are talking about). And tonight (09-25-2018), I paid the bill online using my credit card. The due date on the bill is 09-25-2018. However, the confirmation number date from the receipt I received says 09-26-2018. How much you want to bet they are going to charge me a late fee next month? This company is crap and shady. They're going to nickel and dime you to death at any opportunity. If I had a choice of service providers, Frontier wouldn't be in the top 50.

After switching to the new kid in town,I took my old equipment to drop off and cancel. They relentlessly kept offering lower and lower monthly pricing each time I said no. Finally they offered a lifetime set price at 1/2 what I was paying. The offer included an increase in speed higher than the new guy and beating the price. So, I capitulated( briefly) taking the new equipment home. Part of the issue is that they keep reservations am their walk in sign in sheet separate and don't tell people it's easier to reserve online as they prioritized people that reserved. We were the top of their list for 30 minutes and when I asked someone when that had reserved and just got serviced by an attendant, he said they reserved an hour beforehand... By the time we got up there, it took less than a minute for them to take our equipment back and then said we have to cancel the service ourselves which is why we came in to do in person. Absolutely unorganized, chaotic, and poorly managed. I will say, I've had better luck with coming in late in the evening on a weekday before, so maybe that's the way to go.

I tried to upgrade to a Verizon phone and Verizon screwed it up in so many ways. they canceled it - flag it as fraud - tried to bill my credit card for the phone - suddenly I had two accounts - one in spanish - they flagged my account for fraud - told me that I could pay my bill in 5 days which I couldn't do then it made the phone outside of 30 days for return and demanded I pay full price for it and locked my credit card for 1100. when I bought the Verizon phone I kept it off forthe first two weeks due to the fact I had medical issues post surgery and a work place accident and I didn't terminate my other phone. I had to go 4 times for 10 hours total as customer service outside the store was the black hole of death - derrick spent hours on the phone as Verizon jerked him around in circles. The staff at this store is awesome. Verizon is not. The obviously offshore customer support is completely useless and many are just jack wagons reading from a script with zero ability to do anything but transfer your call to the next jack wagon. I am no longer a potential Verizon customer.

    Beware of this location if you're returning their equipment. I canceled my service because my new…read moreplace no longer need Internet service. First, I was being harassed on the phone for almost an hour trying to get me to continue service then when I made an appointment on November 18, 2026 to return my equipment, the associate came and took it. I was told they'll send it in and scan the serial number and it'll linked to my account I don't need to worry about it after I asked for a confirmation that they've received my return. Months passed and I was hit with a bill of $64 almost $65 for not returning my equipment. I received the bill in the mail on January 2026! Come on here, I contacted customer service and was told they'll put in a claim ticket, like it's clearly spectrum's associate's fault and you're trying to make me pay for the lost equipment I clearly returned it! Never ever will I go back to spectrum. Their associate on the call was unprofessional calling me "gf" like we were friends or I know her after I clearly told her I'm moving into a house that provided internet(att) and I no longer needed the service.
